If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. Do not get waited on by Marina S. My parents and I went to this establishment on Sunday (2/25) at 11:30a and didn't have a reservation. We were told the wait would be up to 30 minutes. Our wait was in fact a full 25 minutes and after being seated, we then waited for our food for another 35 minutes. We saw other parties who had come in after us get their meals and we started to question whether or not our server actually put in our order. When the runner finally brought our food to us, we didn't receive any acknowledgement of how long the wait had been. I asked for additional syrup for the meal I ordered and our server never returned. The entire experience that morning was absolutely awful and we did not feel the need to tip our server; Marina S. As I was checking my bank statement this afternoon, I came to see a $77 charge on my card. Our breakfast that morning was $64.87 and again, I did not tip due to very, very poor service. I should mention, my parents and I had dined at this establishment the week prior and I tipped 25% because our server was amazing. Marina S. took it upon herself to give herself a 22% tip. This is considered theft and credit card fraud. I will never step foot in this establishment again and I can only hope Marina S. doesn't steal wages from other people who dine here. I hope this restaurant realizes this is illegal and absolutely unacceptable. I will make sure to tell my friends and family to not support this establishment or any of its affiliated establishments. I will be going in and asking to speak to a manager this weekend. read more

I came on a weekday morning with a friend so this review reflects that experience especially regarding wait times. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here - the place is huge, lots of seating, the server was quite attentive and the food was delish. I came around 11AM, no wait time, there was a bit of a lunch rush around 12 as we were finishing up but nothing too wild. I ordered the 'Veg-Out Omelette' which came with roasted potatoes and toast. Quite tasty meal that tasted fresh. I couldn't peep at other tables to see what other meals looked like since we were all the way in the back (also, yes I'm nosy like that and like to get food FOMO when I see other orders haha). I also got the coffee and friend got americano with whipped cream, both scrumptious. Overall, great experience with spacious dining area, large menu that seems to be focused on 'fresh' food, and meal arrived quickly. Another gem in the LaGrange area. read more

Started things off with their freddo espresso, and the cream top is sweet and blends well with the espresso. the spinach and artichoke dip was beyond cheesy and their lobster avocado had a generous amount of fresh lobster meat, mango salsa, and chili beurre blanc. the goat toast was a pretty healthy option as well served on ezekiel bread, and the tomato jam paired nicely with the flavorful goat cheese. The omelette had figs and prosciuttio inside, and I never really thought about sweet omelettes, but the figs came through in the savory focused dish. Now if you love sweet and savory, then the butter croissant french toast is that dish that you need to try. it has the sweetness of a french toast, and the savoryness of a buttery croissant served with white chocolate sauce and salted caramel. Now one of the newest menu items is the Lox Flatbread, it came with a generous amount of lox that actually covered the flatbread, and the herb cream cheese had fresh garlicky flavor, very impressive addition to the menu. read more

I absolutely love this place! From the moment you walk in to the when you leave the staff is so welcoming. This is a local spot for my family and I. Crab cakes 9/10 they sauce ties the flavor together. Lamb and spaghetti 8/10 the lamb was so soft and and tender. I felt it needed some sort of sauce or maybe more spaghetti sauce. Spinach dip 9/10 can't ever go wrong with a dip Trio dip 10/10 the flavor is just right ! Love ordering this one! margherita flat bread 8/10 I've had better , this wouldn't be my go to. Prasino is hands down my favorite breakfast place. I literally like everything I have tried here. Some favorites include the crepes, bacon and spinach omelette, chilaquiles and the list goes on and on. The pancakes are also made to perfection! Everything is super fresh and tastes home made. I also like the lunch and dinner options but they never wow me as much as the breakfast options. Coffee and espresso drinks are also amazing. Service is always friendly and quick. When the weather is nice the patio is a great place to sit. Seating inside is also nice and spacious. Pricing is slightly higher than your typical breakfast place but it's definitely worth the extra cost as I feel the ingredients are better quality. Highly recommend. read more

Hand rolled gnocchi, perfectly balanced cocktails, generous portions, delightful fries shaming many an American kitchen, and plenty variety to please and not overwhelm. Was good to see a burger, when you make one so good you only need one on the menu as my friend discovered! The chicken is often the weak cheap offer but the international twist brought in a fresh fix. I had to do the gnocchi, knew before it showed I made the right choice: our waiter mentioned to go back to check if they had any since they ran out the day before. Obvious sign it's real good right there! And yes it was amazing stuff, spinach rich and comfort forward to make any snobby fork bow. Love these family run spots that can't guarantee the menu will all be served, I feel that shows the ingredients are not frozen mass produced sodium stuffed below average grub. My buddy's and my cocktails were balanced, smooth, delightful sips. A tiki drink with passion fruit will always get my vote. Noticed it was a perfect night for outdoors where many were, chose inside for the more quiet and classic experience. There was music, I'm almost sure, nice it was just right to hold the background. Bring from Indiana I say La Grange is right spoiled to have a dining option making no reason to travel anywhere for a sublime, budget friendly, city quality, and socially aware. This is definitely one of my few easiest Illinois award winning restaurants right up with KBab-G Restaurant, Zion Coffee in Peoria, The Girl and the Goat (downtown Chicago), and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse in Lincolnshire. read more

I had dinner here while in town visiting family for Thanksgiving. We had reservations for 6:30 on a Friday evening, but it definitely would have been safe to walk in without one as it wasn't busy. The cocktail list had some interesting options and I decided on a blue bourbon which was served with a large ice cube with fresh blueberries frozen into it making for a nice presentation. The cocktail wasn't too sweet which is what I was hoping for; it is definitely a good option for anyone who likes bourbon! We shared the lobster stuffed avocado for a starter and it was excellent! Lots of lobster and large enough to share. The menu is interesting and pulls from many different ethnic cuisines with items ranging from a Thai curry and ramen to lamb spaghetti, gnocchi and tacos. I opted for braised short ribs which were tender and flavorful. The swiss chard was nicely seasoned and the cauliflower gratin was rich and delicious. For dessert, I had the maple chomeur, which is described as a pudding, but it's more of a cake, so think British "pudding". It was quite good as was the gelato and caramel sauce. Service was good, except for timing of courses. Our entrees arrived just a few minutes after our starter and cocktails. This is one of my pet peeves, especially in nice restaurants. It's just not nice to have to squeeze in entree plates and rush through the rest of a starter so entrees don't get cold. Parking is easy and free in the nearby garage. The location is in a really cute area, and great for combining a meal with a stroll among the shops. LaGrange has definitely had a major upgrade since I last lived up here! read more

The food was pretty good with some unique options. We had a fig and goat cheese flatbread and crabcakes. The service was pretty good although they brought the wrong drink out, our server did notice once she brought them over and brought out the correct drinks, so it was fine. We did run into one issue and that was that there was a small piece of plastic in our crab cake.... I would've thought they'd take the crabcakes off our bill but all they did was pay for a glass of rose. We had a Margarita Flatbread, the Spinach Gnocchi, and a large salad to share. The food was delicious. The ambiance of the restaurant was peaceful. Everything was clean and tidy. I go in on a Sunday for brunch. There's a 30 minute wait, no problem. Let me just say, I am the ONLY black person in this restaurant, no problem. I haven't received my food yet and I live in the city. I was in the area. I was hungry, so I searched for vegan pancakes and this place was 6 minutes away from where I was. I haven't received my food yet. I only placed my order. The server comes over, I say "Good morning" and she just looks at me, then asks if I'm ready. First problem. I order the vegan pancakes and the tofu scramble with a golden latte. She says, "That's a lot of food." Second problem. I mention to her I'm pregnant and hungry, which I am. I hope there are no more problems because that was rude as hell. I don't even know this woman's name to complain about. I've worked in the service industry and I've never encountered anyone telling the customer they ordered a lot of food. She had some damn nerve. And what's worst, if she hadn't made that comment, I probably would have ordered more because some of the things sounded appetizing. I am 100% coming back for breakfast! We decided to come back here also for dinner on a Thursday night. Surprisingly there was almost no one here so we got a very secluded booth, which was really nice. The reason I really wanted to come here was because I saw short rib stroganoff on the menu. My fiance got the lobster ravioli. Service was excellent but the food completely different from what I could have imagined. Beware! So the stroganoff was nothing like a stroganoff. It was ...as if southwest style with a ton of bell peppers in it in an almost queso like pasta sauce. I did not enjoy it and felt deceived by the menu. Met a girlfriend here after work around 5:30. It was easy to find and easy to get in to, plus they take reservations. Parking is a bit tough because they don't have a lot but street parking is available. Our waitress was friendly but didn't mention whether they have any happy hour deals - I forgot to ask, anyways. We each got a glass of wine and ordered some side dishes since weren't too hungry. My friend got a cup of chicken tortilla soup and the truffle potatoes with an aioli dipping sauce. I had the cauliflower au gratin and the street corn. Everything we got was really good - especially those potatoes. The restaurant is a bit pricey - two glasses of wine, three small side dishes and a cup of soup was $45 - but the food was really good and I would definitely come back for a full meal. Steak & Eggs $18 -skirt steak, two eggs your way. Came with a side of pancakes. (or toast) Asked for steak to be cooked medium and can't complain as it was a little pink in the center. I usually don't reach for the salt and pepper. but after tasting my eggs I knew it needed some help. I accidentally unscrewed the pepper shaker top off thinking it might be one of those grinding ones and poured out more pepper than I attended, but it was a blessing. Eggs tasted fluffy (they actually whipped the eggs and added air and not just pour the egg yolks into skillet) Set outside although the fly's/bugs were out being super annoying. Menu was made with more health conscious people that are worried about allergy's and glutton free meals. I've seen this place the few times while I've visited La Grange so when my bf told me this is where we'd go for brunch I was actually looking forward to eating here. We came in and was able to get a table with no wait; we came around 10:30-10:45ish. We decided to do the outdoor seating to enjoy the nice weather. The waiter was ok, he came over to check in on us and ask for drinks etc but when we asked him for suggestions on what were their popular dishes etc and he kinda gave a idk it's what you want to eat which I can understand but if someone is asking for suggestions it would have been more helpful to hear from the person who works for the restaurant... I instantly kinda felt like hmmm, ok what's up with him? Neither the less, we finally decided on what we'd eat - I got the spicy feta cheese omelette with the potatoes and pancakes and an order of bacon on the side. My bf got the steak and eggs with pancakes. Soo yummy Overall, the meal was filling and I enjoyed it. We both left without to go bags lol which means the meal was enjoyable. Prasino is a solid joint for solid breakfast food and solid coffee! Honestly, most breakfast/brunch places have some pretty disappointing coffee but not here. If I lived closer, I'd probably eat my way down the entire menu... don't judge. So far, everything I've ordered has been pretty darn tasty so I'll definitely be back for more! The service level can be a hit or miss though (e.g. slow service even when it's not crowded). read more

I've been in twice now and I enjoy the food. Service is pleasant as well. My 1st visit I had the short rib skillet, this visit I had bacon & the pretzel croissant French toast. The food was good both visits, fresh/hot just as it should be. The skillets were bland on both visits requiring seasoning, but they were full of fresh veggies. I like that they have a variety of cocktails & mimosas. Parking isn't the greatest in this area IMO. It's definitely a nice little breakfast spot. read more
