I came in for an oil change in the morning. Wait time wasn't bad at all that is the 2 stars but then the guy tried to get me to change rotors and breaks for $400 bucks. Thank god i rejected because the week after I came into the precision tune auto care on 54 and did a $20 tire evaluation and resulted in I don't need them changed and all it was they are a bit dirty from break residue. I don't appreciate the dishonesty of this place. I'm a female and I felt like they definitely tried to take advantage. read more

Zero stars. My daughter took car in for inspection. She used her number, so I'm guessing they didn't pull record of service. We have been using company for many years. Manager calls and says it needs $1800+ worth of work. To include alignment, rack and pinion, etc. I know this was false bc car was barely driven since last inspection there and it rides fine. We took car to regular mechanic and he laughed at the diagnosis. Claims were false, we were able to get car inspected elsewhere. Scammers, very sad they tried to take advantage of my daughter. Unfortunately I felt the attendant that rang me up was quite rude, when I asked for recommendation for service type attendant seemed angry, and said it was up to me. After oil change flap on bottom of car was not put back correctly, ended up driving with it dragging against road while for awhile until figured out what noise and issue was.... If I could rate zero stars I would. Never recommending this place to anyone ever. I took my car for an oil change as I have done for years and for the first time they claimed to change my oil and it was never touched. I know this because I don't have an oil leak. My car is a 2016 in great shape. My oil light came on and I took it here and when I picked it up the light was still on, they noted that my oil light was on and wanted to diagnose it. I said no. Took it back home I put oil in it myself and the oil light literally shut off. This place is a farce. It did NOT used to be like this. I wasted money and trust on this location. STAY AWAY!! The customer service here is absolutely horrible. Management does not appear to have any customer service training. I spoke with someone named Chuck who was rude when on the phone but I dismissed it. When I came in for service I witnessed a customer leaving very unhappy with his mannerism. When it was my turn he stayed true to form and was very sharp with his tongue. Did not get my car serviced there not because of his rudeness but because of his refusal. Chuck is the current manager and has been for a little while now and he is doing a great job! He is always straightforward with me and does not try to sell me a service that I do not need and is willing to look at things when I have a question. This location has been home to several different companies over the last 10 years or so and they all were horrible! About a month ago I dont know why buy I decided to stop in to get the advertised oil change. I was really impressed with Jeff and his staff. They are knowledgeable and treat you like gold. Last week car was overheating and I stopped by. Radiator busted. They took care of me almost $100 cheaper than 2 other estimates I got. A friend of mine recommended me this shop, I took my truck for an oil change and the second day after that I noticed an oil leak , immediately took it back and they said it was a bad filter, they apologized, replaced it and gave a free oil change. I went there to get my free oil change and a week after the oil leak started again, I took it back and they said there was nothing leaking. I then took my truck to a different shop and indeed, it was the filter again smh I do not recommend this place. read more

If I could give this a negative star rating I would. Totally and completely unorganized. Upon dropping my car off I asked the tech if they had nitrous to feel my car tires up and was assured they did. I sat and waited for 3 and a half hours for a oil change and tire rotation. I went to grab a bite and on my way back I called to make sure the car was ready was told they could not find the wheel locks they had searched everywhere twice. I knew this was impossible and headed back in. Once I got there I told them the wheel locks had to be in the glove box bc they are never taken out. The tech told me he would take care of it. They pulled my care up, I asked the manager where my tires rotated he brings up the wheel lock story again and said they could not do it and the car had been checked over multiple times for it. I immediately went to the car and as previously stated there they sat in the glove box as instructed. I bring them back to the manager and then he comes and tells me now they cannot rotate the tires because two of them needed to be replaced because how they were wearing. Interestingly enough the tech who worked on my care noted that the tires were perfect. Manager stated that it possibly needed a wheel alignment and replacement of tires. He told me they did not have the tires in stock but he could do the alignment if I went elsewhere for the tires. I ran all around now that half of the day had been shot and got the tires replaced brought the car back to them to haver the wheel alignment done and the same manager CHUCK told me they could not do it. I would have to bring it back another day. Mind you my ENTIRE day was consumed with the misinformation of these associates. Had they properly diagnosed the issue from the start I could have taken my vehicle somewhere else from the beginning and not left it in the care of amateurs. I WILL NEVER return back to this establishment. I am a long standing customer of Precision Tune but I generally visit the location on Chapel Hill BLVD in Durham, NC where I get great service unfortunately this particular day they were on a 5 hour wait. RUN from this location. They are totally unprofessional and I am sure they people working on the vehicle need to be retrained. read more

Earlier this week I was referred to Precision Auto Care @ 5280 N Roxboro St, Durham, NC 27712 Jeff called me and had a brief talk on the phone and asked me the issues that I am having with my car and explained to him. He then sent me A Tow truck in less than an hour and took my car to his shop. Later that evening not only he fixed the issue but also wants to see other minor issues that I have with the vehicle. He was able to fix more issues. The next day, I went to the shop and picked up my car Jeff is very professional and easy-going person who listen to Customer very carefully and shows his professionalism and explains what needs to be done We are extremely happy to meet Jeff and his stuff and they will be our future Mechanics for routine checkup or if any maintenance work needed We will be also recommending more friends and family as well to him Thank you, Jeff, for your great assistant read more

So we dropped my daughters car off last Monday morning early they never touched it until Tuesday afternoon the manager Chuck never contacted us we had to keep reaching out to him and his attitude was rude almost like he didn't want to be bothered he was rude to me my wife and my daughter he charged us $90 diagnosed the problem after talking to him we were told that it was the computer and that it would cost $2100 to replace and about 4 weeks for the part to come in after calling around most places found it hard to believe that the computer was bad but there price would be $1200 not sure how he came up with that mark up after having a mechanic that I know look at it he assured us that the computer was fine it turned out to be a $75 crankshaft position sensor unbelievable had I not did my own research I would have spent at least $2500 so I wasted &75 on towing and $90 on a diagnostic test that obviously was wrong chuck should not be in customer service at all rude and nasty I will never go there or recommend them ever. read more
