Came here on a random Friday I had off in hopes of avoiding the weekend crowd. I'll admit that I am fairly clueless when it comes to car maintenance, but since I had a coupon for the oil change at this place, I decided to give it a try. Even though I came on a Friday morning, it was actually already fairly busy. There were probably 4 cars ahead of me getting various things done, so I had about a 2 hour wait. That didn't phase me, though, because they have a newly renovated waiting room that has magazines, a tv, and free wifi! The entire transaction at the counter was quick and easy, and the staff was very helpful and did not try to up-sell me anything. Two hours later of playing around on their wifi, my beloved car was all taken care of for less than $40, and that was with me upgrading the oil and such. Jerry and Triple A saved my day yesterday. I had a malfunction on my Subaru WRX on my way to work causing my stirring wheel and the electronic component of my car to malfunction. I prayed and made it alive to work (thank goodness). Called Triple A's road side service to get it towed to this place. My Mom came and helped me while I continue to work. I was completely NOT satisfied because; 1) They didn't care about the car 2) Not conversationable. 3) It took an hour to change my oil 4) advertisement said $14 for oil change, but they told me it cost a couple of $ more, then charged $27 for me. I don't recommend and look for new auto repair which cares my car. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR SERVICE HERE!!!! My mom's 4Runner was serviced here for oil change. A few days later the oil exploded from the engine due to poor service while my brother was driving on the freeway!!! Luckily it was not a hot day and it was raining. The engine could of caught on fire!!! The mechanics installed the oil filter incorrectly and something with the gasket. Since May 16, 2011 the 4Runner is still in their shop. You may see a gray 4Runner in their shop. They can not fix the problem! They offered to replace the engine with a used engine with lower mileage and still has not fixed the problem. Until this day our car has not been fixed. Almost 1 month!!! Poor service!!! read more

Okay ,so I called and asked about an oil change for my van. They helped me out with everything no problem what so ever :) I showed up about twenty minutes or so after calling them an was out of the shop another fifteen minutes later , no complaints here neither! FYI $23.95 total for my oil change out the door really fast. I have to say I'd recommend this place for sure no doubt!!! read more

Merry Christmas and thank you so much to the manager and all the guys here at this shop. They saved my *** big time, I am extremely grateful. My 'friend' "borrowed" my already very mature SUV and when he brought it back he said it had white smoke coming from the exhaust and he had no idea what could possibly be wrong with my car. . Oh but the sheriff that pulled him over because of the massive amounts of white smoke told him that it was probably a cracked head gasket (wait, what??) And oh yeahhh I put some oil in it trying to fix it, maybe I put too much?? Well yeah. It probably needed a half a quart. This genius poured an entire 5 quart jug of oil into my engine. (Wait, what??) Anyways to make a long story even longer I pull into this PAC location the day after Christmas, in my nightgown, with just about no money, oil spewing all over their parking lot and more white smelly smoke than a snoop concert. The manager was so nice and got the guys to drain all the oil from my car and put the correct amount back in for the measly $6 I had to my name. I owe them some donuts or something!!! I just wanted to make sure they know how much I appreciate their kindness and to let the yelpers know that they are the type of guys you want working on your car - people that will go the extra mile even when there is absolutely nothing in it for them. read more

Okay so I hardly know anything about cars, and my guy friends are always trying to convince me that it'd be much cheaper if I just bought some oil and learned how to change it myself, but 1) I don't want to drive all the way across town to their places to learn, & 2) when there's amazingly cheap places like this, why bother getting my hands dirty?? Parents pointed out that I was past due for an oil change so I agreed to take my baby yaris in (she's not a baby anymore at 33k!!) I found an ad in the mail for this place that listed standard oil change for 14.99, perfect for my budget! Planned on going early but I overslept, I always call to check how busy places are before bringing in my car and they said to come right in when I checked at 4pm (woke up before that, promise!). I didn't get in until 4:25, I almost missed the place because the entrance is so tiny! And the place is located among a couple other auto places, they're kinda smooshed together and I'm used to seeing jiffy lube and other places with their own standalone buildings. I parked and went inside, it definitely isn't as fancy as some other places but I was quickly helped. I made sure to show my coupon and then took a seat in their mini lounge which had a tv, soda/candy vending things, coffee, and some magazines. I decided to play on my phone instead, how typical. Before I knew it, the guy called my name and everything was finished!! I got an estimate of 20 minutes but it definitely took less time than that because I was in my car ready to go by 4:45!! FASTEST OIL CHANGE EVER!! Also cheapest oil change I've ever had! It came out to a little over 18, probably due to taxes and stuff. SO AMAZING! I would have given -ve stars if yelp allowed that. Little late for the review but better late than never. I wanted to let others know about the horrible experience I had. I took my car for oil change and tire rotation. Next day I noticed that tires were NOT rotated and obviously I was charged for this. I had some paint on one tire during a move and I remembered distinctly which tire had it so that's how I realized. I called them and told them and the guy started arguing with me and literally said 'I am lying'. Why would I call asking to get the tires rotated 'again' (bringing them back to where they were) when I PAID for the first rotation. He didn't even let me finish and kept arguing. Finally, he said 'I don't have time to talk to you'. I was disgusted. This experience makes me wonder that are they actually changing the oil or just topping it off? I would NOT set foot in there again and not recommend anyone, if you really care about your car. Someone who cheats their customers and don't respect their repeated business should not be getting your money. Period..... read more

Back home (on the east coast) I always took my cars to Jiffy Lube for oil changes. After a yelp search for a new place to use on the west coast, I decided on these guys. LOVED my experience. I hate places that seem sleazy, or treat solo ladies poorly. The older gentleman at the front was as nice as could be, helped me get set up, and did not come across as pushy or greasy at all. It did take a little longer than I expected (definitely more than 30 minutes), but they changed my oil and filter, checked all my fluids, check tire pressure and rotated tires, and checked my brakes. Also they reset the electronic oil life meter my car has. All for less than $40 (I think he gave me some internet coupon which may have brought the price down?). In any case, I will absolutely be going to them again for oil changes, routine inspections, and anything else. read more

Please be careful!! wow! what a way to rip of your money. I went there to repair my car window was not pulling up. The person asked me $130 dollars just for analysis and asked me that come after one hour or we will call you. Now game starts..after two hours they will call and said we have done analysis and you need to change the main switch board (dude, i also know that when window is not working then either fuse or board issue) and now asked other $219 dollars for parts. I said No and they said then we will put the whole door assembly back and come after half an hour, Luckily, I am living near by and as soon as their call done i was there within 5 mins and I saw my car was already out, it means they never opened any door panel and when I asked have you really opened the panel, you need to see the fear on his face and eyes..and the way he said yes. He was saying we have worked two hours to figure out that the circuit board was bad..bullshit! Please be careful!! read more

Car was making some major screeching ang squeeling noises, plus I needed an oil change, so brought it back to the guys at Precision. Had another Premium oil change, plus they discovered that I needed new rear brake pads and resurfaced rotors. I checked around for prices to compare what they were quoting me and they were very competitive- prices are not crazy. Plus they found that I had a nail in one of my tires...again (took that to Americas tire to fix, since I have their warranty) The guys here are all nice...once again, Erube always remembers me and says to say hi to the hubby. Thought about it later, My husband and I (and sister-in-law) have brought 6 or 7 different cars to them for the last 9-10 yrs. Never any probems....great shop, great service! read more

They have a hard time detecting issues with the car. My car's radio, and all other indicators in the car would stop working while driving itself, and it wouldn't start once it was turned off after these signs. I told them that it could be that my alternator is bad. But they said the alternator is fine and instead identified the issue in my car as a battery issue and recommended changing the battery. I went with their advice and got it changed. However, my car showed similar issues in the coming week, and it was dangerous as it was showing these signs on freeway during peak traffic. I got my car towed to this shop again, and they said they need to replace the battery again. And, to no surprise, my car showed the same issues again. This time, I took it to a Honda Dealer and they said the issue is with the alternator. Finally, the issue was fixed. But in the meantime, I had to go through a couple of weeks of hassle, and make 3 trips to the auto care shops. I wouldn't go there for any major issues (anything bigger than oil change). read more

Overall oil change service was excellent & I'll be bringing my other vehicle here soon. Location: Not too far from the Jack in the Box, you could walk there & have a bit while you wait for your car Customer Service: Good on the phone & in person. Very accurate wait time ( I appreciate that). Pro: Coupons on their website can be used with limited restrictions. They even accepted it when all I did was show them my phone.. no print out necessary. Semi Con: the waiting area is small & dated, but its better than hanging out at a gas station waiting for your oil change I saw a list of their prices for other services, which seemed good if coupled with online coupons. read more

I started to bring my car to Precision since it's walking distance from my house so I can easily drop off my car, walk home, then walk back when it's done. The services that I had would be the oil change (on a weekday morning when drop off was at 8:30, it took 45 minutes) and also the routine service check during the big mileages. Both times I've been there, the service has been great. The employees working the help desk are nice and they do break things down so it's easy for me to understand given how I really don't know cars. For the oil change, it came out to 32$ and for the servicing, it cost me 220$... the list price said 280$ but they gave me a discount for some unknown reason... It might just be my head but the car seems to be a lot smoother now. :) read more

Great place! I used to have my husband take my car in for everything, even oil changes, because i was always uncomfortable doing it. Because i ama woman, I've felt that other car shops would take advantage of me and would try to sell me a service i didn't need. Not at precision! Honest people, great service! Oil changes are pretty reasonable--$20-$30 depending on the type of oil change (and they usually give you a $4 discount coupon too), but make sure you aren't in a hurry cause they can take some time. The prices are pretty standard and the staff is very communicative of any other issues going on. I've had my car serviced here for years and have noticed a steady decline in customer care and service. I was too lazy to find other shops, but I knew there was something wrong with my car since it had started making strange noises when I braked. I took my car to a different trusted shop to see what the issue was. Precision Tune Auto Care failed to do a proper brake inspection and my car had to get new brake rotors because of this. It could've been prevented if they alerted me, but they didn't. There goes $700 bucks down the drain. Blacklist this place and go to a different shop. Such a joke as they will overquote and overcharge you to do piss poor service. read more

Went for an oil change and check up before driving coast to coast. They changed the oil, did all the checks, topped all the fluids, and alerted me that my tires needed to be changed (including taking me out to my care and showing me that the treads were worn down). Been coming here for regular oil changes and regular service for awhile now. I'm paying just under $80 for six quarts of synthetic. For longer service, they'll give you a lift after you drop off your car as long as you're within a few miles. The place is a little bare, but parking is okay. read more

This is my go to place for oil changes. I have been coming here for years. They are fast and courteous and my car is never dirty after the work is done. I even got a smog check this time and it was done in less than an hour (enough time to walk over to jack in the box), but usually it only takes about a half hour (and the free wifi comes in handy). read more

I got recommended by my brother that he currently went here for a tune up and he told me the mechanic Carlos is the goto guy and he said he was helpful and did a good job on tuning up his SUV and pointing our recommendations. He was right I took my car down for a oil, change and to get my battery checked out he did a good job and also he pointed out my air filter was clogged and changed it to a new one ever since my car been running smooth. We've been coming here for several years now. From oil changes, to brake jobs, and even changing a busted taillight. No job is too small or big for these guys. Most recently, we took our Integra here for a 90k mile maintenance service. The service is great, and the pricing is very competitive; compared to the local dealer, you save about 30-50%. They also have a local shuttle service, and best of all, they're open on Saturdays for those of us who are too busy on weekdays to take our car to the shop. Be careful though - even though this shop is part of a chain, each location is different and not all locations have good service. However, we have only had good experiences with this location and will continue to come here. read more

Okay service at a fair price. However, they lost 2 of my lugnuts and are trying to charge me for a new set even though they admitted that the mechanics tend to "misplace" them. Update: I have spoken to the manager a few times about this issue now and he is still not willing to do anything about it. His story keeps changing as it benefits him (and he was intimidating his technician to side with the story that benefits him in the name of the "truth"). He also made quite a few rude comments. The owner also refuses to mediate this situation. This is a little ridiculous as we have been coming to this place for over 10 years and get all our cars serviced here. Neither the manager nor the owner respected this customer-company relationship. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to this place. My recommendation IF you decide to come here is to take pictures of both the inside and the outside of your car. If they make an error, they will not own up to it or correct it without picture proof (heck, they may even insist that you photoshopped it). There are many other places nearby that service cars at comparable prices without this hassle. read more

I had a serious issue with my car: the engine kept dying on me, for no reason. I could happen any time... (never, never, never buy a jeep by the way). When I first had this problem, I dropped my car at Precision Tune Auto Care, because it was the most convenient location for me (not far work / home). If I add all the days they had my car for test, I think it's more than 1.5 month. They tried everything, they replaced a lot of expensive part (more than $1500), they even charged me $10 because it ran out of gas... And they didn't fix the problem. Each time they fixed something, I had to come back the day after because the car still died in the middle of the road. After this bad experience, I dropped my car to another mechanic (very not convenient place, very far...) but in 1.5 day, they found the issue, and I got my car fixed !! So, if you need to change a light bold or a windshield wipers, I think it's a good place. Otherwise, go somewhere else. read more

I refuse to take my car anymore. Some how while working on my car the rocker arm just feel off. Leading to needing an engine block. It just went in for a smog and didn't pass. So i asked for a reason why was told while doing a visual inspection it feel off. But funny when i came in to pay for it they had it at the neighboring smog station checking it there. When i asked why was told to make sure they did it right they where not use to my kind of car. When i asked what needed to be fixed was told it was like i was stupid. Said it was like a blood vessel you fix one bleeding point then move on to the next. I was like ok. Hello just tell me what is wrong. Being a woman doesn't mean i am stupid. This was my second time here for a oil change. The first time I was here everything went fine. I came here the 2nd time to get a oil change & they pretty much f'ed up my oil pan. The pan I had was still new. I have to remove the whole metal pan & get it replace now. I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

Used their oil change coupon for an oil change in September. The price was very competitive for my vehicle, which costs more than most vehicles for an oil change due to the filter type it uses, but they split the difference of the cost with me as a first time customer, which actually brought them in cheaper than even Walmart, and with synthetic blend oil at that price, besides. They were friendly, knowledgeable, no BS (I have a lot of mechanics in my family and did all my own work when I was young, so I can't be BSed by a mechanic). I like them. I come here for the usual maintenance stuff, mainly for oil changes. Once, I came here for a 30K mile service. Always had a good experience and the people at the service counter are always courteous and nice. One particular month, they had this drawing, and I was picked for a free oil change! That got me coming back! I am usually wary of going to auto service stations because in the past, I would see how mechanics would try to rip my mom off. (Firestone in Milpitas nailed a nail in my tire and tried to get my money for it! See my post!) These guys are honest and never push anything I don't need. On my first visit, the guy told me my car's in great condition and that I did a good job taking care of it. I have NEVER heard of a car mechanic say that to anyone before! Now that I'm married, I relocated to Fremont with my husband. I decided to try getting my oil changed at a Fremont location, got decent service, but I still prefer this place. Went there for 60k service and used a coupon. They did the job in reasonable time. And didn't try to cross sell anything because they didn't think my car needed anything at that time. It's always refreshing to see an auto repair shop that doesn't try to cross sell anything. With the coupon, it was probably the lowest price in Milpitas for the service. read more

I typically dont write reviews unless I had great experience or horrible one. This one is a horrible experience. Firstly they dont have good business ethics here. I left my car with lights on and battery drained up. I jump started and started driving and in 1-2miles of drive it shows some red indicator in the dashboard. I am not an expert on the cars, so I decided to take it to the nearby mechanic ASAP. Did a quick google and found this place (less 1mile from my location), since "Precision Tune" is well known name I went here without hesitation. The mechanic did a quick check about the red indicator - seems my battery is weak and I had to replace it, and I will need to jump start most of the time until I replace it. I said to the owner that I will replace it with my the shop where I have purchased the battery in the first place (since it was still under warranty). But the owner was keep pursuaded me to replace the battery in his shop itself - I had to say NO couple of times. He kept pursuaded me and tried to make me paranoid such car could breakup in the rode If I drive for 10miles (which is not at all true)! I paid 10 dollars for the checkup as they requested and started to leave. Till now the experience for 3 stars and was okay, the real attitude was shown when I requested them to help me jump start my car since the battery was drained (since it's a mechanic shop they should have a jump start kit). Their attitude much worse from this point, since I have given only small business. Really!!! Come on! Growup guys! They made me wait for 30mins for the jump start (that too was okay). The mechanic came and tried to jump start and couldn't do it! What really? I could jump start by myself with my friends car. He tried for 3-5mins and finally the mechanic said they cannot jump start at all and left. !?!? What the...! I called my insurance company for road assistance and they came in 30mins and jump started on the first try!!! I told this story to mechanic guy (sent by Insurance comp), that they couldn't jump start my car. He told me (not me) "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DEAL THIS MECHANIC SHOP"! This is my recommendation to you as well. After this shop I went to the previous shop (where I originally bought the battery) and they said - it just a weak battery and nothing to worry, and they replaced it for FREE (since it covered under warranty) This happened last Oct 2013. read more

For an oil change its the cheapest place in town. Never going to Jiffy Lube again. Only negative is that it closes promptly at 5 pm.
