The Kingwood: 4/5 crafted with my favorite "Hendricks gin" and named after the neighborhood we live in, this cocktail is also refreshing and enjoyed more than the Beach Break. It went down easy, bartender did ask if I was good with the jalapeño that it's muddled with and this time I opted to only have it with muddled cucumber. Again refreshing and not tart so maybe this is the alternative to Beach Break. It is made with topo chico and Tajín rim. Overall it is a laid back environment, live music and the drink options are promising, it's a cocktail shop (candy shop). When we walked in to my surprise there were a handful of folks all playing darts. They have a back entrance and that's the door the regulars use. When my friend ordered a Hugo Spritz, the bartender responded with "what?" and then said she only knew an Aperol Spritz. That's completely fine, not everyone knows every cocktail, but the interaction became unnecessarily rude from there. Instead of simply asking about the ingredients politely, she came back with an attitude asking us to look it up for her, and then became defensive saying "I don't know what the issue is" even though nobody had complained or created a problem. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic.
