You can get just the pies but if you do their entree, you get to pick a pie, a topper, and a side. Here's what we ordered, and how I'd rate everything on a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being best): Chicken Hatch Chile Pie (7.5): Nowhere near as spicy as it might sound. Flavorful, with a bit of a denser crust. Chicken Pie (8.5): Tasted like a gourmet version of the chicken pot pies I used to love eating as a kid. Good flavor with a soft crust. Sausage Roll (8): Sizeable portion with a delicious, flaky crust. Went really well with the BBQ sauce it came with. Tillamook Mac & Cheese (8): Surprisingly soft noodles and nice, cheesy flavor. I tried this place and I have to say the meat pie was actually delicious the main thing that was disappointing were the two sides. I think the idea of getting sides with your pie is FANTASTIC by the way, the only issue was the beans in the chili weren't fully cooked, they probably needed about 20 more minutes and the Caesar salad had a decent flavor but all of the lettuce was wilted, based on the temperature of the lettuce it was probably placed in an area of the refrigerator that was way too cold. I have only been here once and these issues could easily have just been a bad day, so I plan to go back to check it out again. Again, the meat pies themselves are absolutely DELICIOUS and I definitely recommend those. read more

Sometimes one gets their expectations raised when they wait so long for a place to open... thankfully Premier Meat Pies did NOT disappoint. Our server Kevin was spot on from the get go. Knowledgeable, helpful and kind. We enjoyed the Sausage Rolls appetizer to start... just plain yummy!!!... For our first time we wanted to try the pies without toppers, but I did add Tillamook cheddar to mine. We had the Steak and Mushroom and the Scottish pie. My husband is a "gravy" guy so next time we will make sure he has a side of gravy or a little something more. But we really enjoyed our time and dinner there. We finished off the meal with the chocolate bread pudding and Kevin was so lovely to tell us that the dessert was not at its best and bought it for us. The food was very tasty. I got the chiles chicken pie with mash & gravy. The gravy was spot on. And I also got the crème brûlée. My dessert was just ok. I'm thinking because they served it in a shallow dish. I also got a blended strawberry margarita and I do not recommend getting this drink. It was weak but the rim had salt instead of sugar...$13 for this drink and it was just ok. The service was was great. He was always checking on us making sure all was still good. I wish I knew his name. The ambiance was perfect. You can hear light music playing in the back ground and they had soccer on a few tv's and baseball or maybe it was football...can't remember. I dropped in during a slow period of the day for them (2:00 PM on a Friday). The space very clean and the waitstaff were friendly and helpful. I found their adult beverage list very full and the food selection was adequate. Not a negative comment, but I thought the prices were a bit on the high side, but that shouldn't deter you from checking this spot out. One feature that I enjoyed is there is a clear view of the bakers doing their magic and it was enjoyable. Also the smells were very nice and I was getting more hungry as I waited. The food did not disappoint. The bread was warm and the butter soft. My tots were crispy and delicious. The portion side was decent for one, but I could see how it would feed more if other entrees were ordered. Overall I had a decent meal in a welcoming environment. We walked in Saturday afternoon at about 2:00 PM. We are glad to see that they are finally open for business! We sat at the bar and enjoyed great conversation with the bartender. One thing I really like about them is that their art is tied to their cocktails-the animals that you see pictured on their walls have a matching cocktail. I enjoyed the Wild Boar cocktail-this was well balanced and felt indulgent-they chose a very good mezcal for this drink. I also appreciated that I was able to tailor it a little more to my personal tastes. I enjoyed the lamb meat pie with a side of their habanero sauce, and Tabasco sauce when I ran out of the habanero. Their crust was so flaky and chewy, and the lamb inside was excellent. The spice blend on their lamb was well done-I would have been happy to have had more. All in all, I am excited to see how they develop over the next couple of months! The only things I think they should improve on is a greater range in cocktails with prices-their lowest cocktail price on their listed menu is $18! That is quite expensive for a cocktail in Renton. I decided on just water for my dinner. If you are serving that much ice in a glass, provide a straw. Otherwise, you get a face full of ice when you tip the glass back. The bar area NEEDS sound dampening. I think this is their grand opening weekend and they are still Ironing things. There was a table with 4 women and a man and whenever a couple of the women started laughing really loud, you couldn't hear the person in front of you. The waiter was talking to me when the girls started laughing and I had to apologize to the waiter because I just could not simply hear him. They need to put up sound damping otherwise when that place gets full it will be unbearable. Each pie is about the size of a Big Mac but costs $12.00. Anyone who's been to the UK and bought a meat pie there knows this is way too much to charge for a meat pie. Take a look at the prices at Australian Pie Co. That's how much you should be charged for a meat pie. I know you are trying to go more upscale then a Gregg's or something but.... Unfortunately I won't be back at $12 a pie. For the record, the Guinness and Beef pie tasted lovely and the staff seemed very nice. No complaints there. read more

Shopping in Renton I came across a sign saying there were savory meat pies on offer down the block. I was intrigued (and hungry) so made the 1 block walk to try it out and was so glad that I did! You get to seat yourself so that went quickly and the server was right there before I even got my coat off. She was super friendly,& very knowledgable! Man, I really didn't want to write this review as I was really looking forward to this place opening and becoming a regular stop. Unfortunately, I just can't recommend it. First, the good: had an excellent server. Didn't get his name but he was basically doing everything and sounded like he got called in on his day off and they were having staffing issues, so kudos to this young man for working his tail off. None of this is a reflection on his hard work and good attitude. The other good, as others have pointed out, the Dungeness Crab dip with the small fresh loaf of bread is fantastic! Wish it came with more bread or some other things to dip into it, but man was it tasty! It's pricey on the normal menu but the lower Happy Hour price of $9.99 is a really good value. My wife got the Minted Pea and Bacon salad as an accompaniment, which is a good thing, because it became her entree and was pretty good. That's where it goes downhill. Got a traditional Shepherds Pie and it was very dry (maybe overcooked?), and really didn't have much flavor. Also had very little mashed potatoes on it and the top pastry crust was almost inedible. We also tried the sausage rolls appetizer because I love all things sausage and while the pastry was pretty good, whatever the meat was inside was inedible. It just had a strange taste and the sauce that came with it was also not good. Maybe it was just a bad night, but I'm not sure there was enough there to give them a second chance. The first person to serve us seemed pissed off and overly unpleasant. The next person was significantly better but the service and food delivery was so painfully slow and paying the bill took almost 30 minutes because no one ever checked on us and it was impossible to find the server.
