My cuz's son was playing guitar at P & M MDW in Irvine by SNA. I had not seen him or my cuz in a long time, so I decided to drop by. They serve bfast & lunch in a casual setting. I ordered the nicoise salad and eggplant soup. I also had a ginger & tumeric tea. First of all, the soup was unique bc I never had eggplant soup before. You couldn't really taste the eggplant, but the creamy consistency was nice. Secondarily, the salad was pre-made and sitting in the refrigerated case. It was a good rendition of a classic salad from Nice. Lastly, the tea was very good. I don't believe I have had this flavor before. The only downside to the food & drink, was the pricing. The three items were $20 pre-tax and tip. I don't generally spend that much in a casual place. Regarding the ambiance, there is a couple of tables inside, but most of the seating is outside communal seating shared w/ a nearby building. My cuz's son was playing outside, but unfortunately it was cool that day. I should have brought a jacket. The staff were very nice & friendly. The food took a while, but I wasn't in a rush. I hung out for a few hours listening to the music. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but all in all, it was a positive experience. This place looked so cute and had many great reviews, so I was excited to check it out. Unfortunately, the service was unwelcoming from the start. The girl taking my order had an attitude and seemed irritated that I was even there lol. I got a hot matcha latte, but it tasted watered down and didn't have the best aftertaste. I drink a lot of matcha but the flavor of this one just didn't sit right for me and definitely had a more earthy taste (even with sweetener added to it). I did not try their coffee so maybe their coffee is better! When I brought my mug back and said thank you, the staff again looked annoyed. Not one smile out of a worker the entire time I was there, which my entire group noticed as well. Anyway, the only thing saving this from a 1-star review is the nice outdoor seating. Such a cute and hidden gem!! If you drive by too fast, you'll miss the adorable, European style cafe. Stopped by, late morning for some food and beverages. Neither of which disappointed. They have savory and sweet crepes, which were both fresh and tasty. There's also an adorable outdoor seating which many have already noted. This coffee shop is located within a business complex, surrounded by tall office buildings and nearby apartment communities. Parking requires taking at ticket to enter the lot which the coffeehouse validates with any purchase. The interior of this place is small with just four or five tables but there are many outdoor tables and comfy couches in a couple patio areas. Most of the customers were taking their orders back to their offices in the high-rise during my visit. After a quick look in their nearly depleted pastry case (it was late morning) I decided to get a an almond croissant and a chocolate chip cookie along with a hot vanilla latte. Once ready, I went outside and sat next to a "water wall" to enjoy my goodies. In a word, everything was simply "okay". They make a big deal about using real Italian espresso but my vanilla latte was not robust as are the espresso drinks I've had in Italy. It was very weak in flavor and I perceived no vanilla taste at all. The almond croissant was good but the mundane chocolate chip cookie had the bare minimum of chips. These businesses are often overcrowded and offer very little parking due to the large number of corporate offices in the area. I recently visited this business with a coworker and I'm so glad we made the leap! While the storefront itself is very minimal, they have a large outdoor patio with a variety of seating options. There's even outdoor electrical ports if you need to charge up! One of my biggest pet peeves from working remotely is constantly running into space, wifi, or electricity barriers. Press & Moka truly has this system down. As for their menu, I ordered their seasonal honey latte, iced with oat milk. This beverage offered a great balance of sweet to caffeinated. They also have a full food menu with sammies, salads, soup, and pastries. I tried their chocolate croissant and give the flakiness two thumbs up. This biz is also attached to a major parking structure that offers two hour complimentary parking. Very demure, very mindful. read more

They offer a larger selection of food items than your typical coffee shop. Many kid approved choices. They also have an outdoor space that is great for kids with a little putting green. Pros is that they toast it fresh for you, kind of like on a panini press is what it looks/tastes like, so you'll get a chewy bagel with some crispy edges . Cons is the darn egg in there. I have no idea what kind of instant egg patty they use but that has no business being in any food item!!! I'd just get it without the egg. While it was passable, for the price, it was a bit of a disappointment - the fillings were meager and poorly distributed throughout the crepe. So, if you're here for an authentic Mr. French Crepe meal, you'll have to look elsewhere. As for my drink: whenever I go somewhere new, I usually order a simple iced chai latte (I know that's boring, but it's typically a safe pick!). I haven't had a bicerin since I first tried it in Torino, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was served at this little coffee shop. Parking was simple and is validated for two hours, and it's right next to a lovely museum. The restrooms are located in the building next door, and are very clean and lovely. The bicerin was delicious and the perfect balance of chocolate, espresso, and sweetness. The shop is small, but has a ton of space inside and a proportionately good amount of outlets. There is also seating outside in the sunshine and cool breeze of the plaza! The WiFi is also good. Very cool spot. I got the iced chaga matcha which was really good. Loved that there was plenty of seating available and a nice water feature too. I came here with a friend and it was pretty chill in the morning. I ordered the vanilla latte and it was okay. It wasn't the best but tasted like a standard vanilla latte. They have limited seats inside but there are plenty of seats outside. It was nice to be able to catch up and the surrounding was pretty quiet and calm which I prefer. The only thing to keep in mind is that you have to park in the structure and they have to validate. Press and Moka is a wonderful little coffee shop! It's not very viewable from the street as it's in a business area but if you follow maps you can easily find it. They have a ticketed parking lot but parking is free with validation from the shop. There's always been enough parking everytime I've been (I don't park in the structure, I park in the little lot in front of it). The shop itself is quite tiny but there's about 3 or 4 tables for 2-3 people. There's also seating outside. It's nice inside, there's a little fridge of yogurts or to go snacks for on the go. They actually have a substantial menu of different food and drink options. They holiday or seasonal drinks are always my favorite. This visit I opted for the maple orange latte which was amazing! My boyfriend got the chai latte and loved his as well. I got the ham, egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel and he got the lox bagel. This is one of his favorite lox bagels in OC and was the reason we came today. My sandwhich was pretty good, I would probably choose something else on my next visit though. Was looking for a place to get a treat and a hot drink on this rainy Friday :) I had found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. When I rolled up to the parking garage I got spooked by the $2 for every 15 minutes and drove around the block looking for other parking. I quickly realized the structure was the only place to go so I decided to pull over and read the reviews (which I hadn't done since this was a last minute little trip). I then realized that parking would be validated and there was nothing to fear haha. It's a cute business that has an obvious Italian influence on its menu. I ordered a bicerin and a slice of banana bread (warmed!). I dug in once I got to the car. The banana bread was so soft, not too many chocolate chips, and a banana flavor that clearly had real bananas in it (not like the grocery store banana bread that tastes fake). It has a bit of a crust on the outer part from being baked that balanced perfectly with the softness of the inside. *drools* The bicerin had a perfect balance of the expresso flavor with some sweet chocolatey-ness. It wasn't too sweet which is always my concern with chocolatey drinks. Before I left I quickly asked for my parking to be validated and was on my way back home! If you are looking for a drink and/or a treat then this place is definitely worth a try! I plan on trying to come back here at least a couple of more times while I live in the area. Slightly tucked into a quiet corporate area of Irvine, Press & Moka is a gem of its own kind. When I first entered the shop, I was greeted warmly and enthusiastically by a very upbeat barista. I could tell that she caters her communication to all guests who enter the shop a little differently which makes the ordering experience unique. Her service and amiable attitude allowed me to have peace in knowing that my coffee was going to be made with love and that I was a valued guest. There is a fair variety of drinks to select from, but the macchiato that I ordered was very stunning and ideal. It was a right amount of sweet and its balance of ingredients was stellar.
