This review is based solely off of their drinks, as I haven't tried any of their pastries or food. I'll update my review when I finally get over to try their food! I've had coffee from there on two different occasions and their coffee is just mediocre. I had a caramel latte that tasted super watered down and didn't have much flavor at all. The next time I went, I just got a black coffee, which was good, but it's super hard to mess up black coffee. I have heard from coworkers that they have good chai teas, but I haven't tried them yet. My favorite thing to get here is their tea. They always have numerous flavored unsweetened teas that are awesome! The white peach one is delicious! Last time we went, they told us that we could come back for free refills. I'm not sure if that's always a thing, but pretty cool to take advantage of if so! read more

Hooray Press Coffee is here! I honestly don't understand the negative reviews, I came the other day and had a very positive experience. When I arrived, I took a look at the red and white contemporary furniture. Not your typical cozy coffee shop, more of a, no-frills, let's get work done and get together type of space, but that's exactly what I had come here to do so it fit my mood. I took some time studying the menu and finally ordered the nitro brew. As my barista was pouring it, she mentioned there was an item on the 'secret menu' with nitro brew, would I like to try it? Would I?! Of course! It turned out to be a nitro float. Oh my gosh, why don't they have this in every single coffee shop in the Valley? The idea, so simple. I chose vanilla and kept it classic this time, but am coming back to try it with the salt and caramel. The ice cream freezes when it's dropped in the nitro, and has this freeze-like consistency on the outside and then a creamy inside, not to mention how smooth the nitro brew tastes. For this delicious dessert/breakfast call, I have to give it a well-deserved. five stars. read more

Coffee here is good. Service is okay. We came in and ordered coffee and two breakfast burritos. They gave us one. We told one of the staff that were missing one burrito and he said he'd take care of it. Thirty minutes later we're still waiting here with no burrito. It's been grueling watching the other people out here get their burritos. Even as I'm typing out the word burrito rn my mouth is salivating. It sucks cuz the burritos here are so good but this..... this is torture. Please bring me my long lost burrito. Please oh god please. read more

This place is in a great location. I would give it 5 stars, but their drip coffee quality isn't consistent. Sometimes it's great, good flavors, nice aroma, but other times it's bitter and astringent tasting. I should point out that even when it's bitter, it's still better than most coffee shops, but I know they can do better. I've mentioned this to the Barista, but the inconsistency is getting pretty frequent. The most consistent, great tasting, coffee I get is the Press location in Ocotillo and in Fashion Square. read more

Their avocado toast is so good (get the one with bacon and eggs)! Their customer service is also so great. I wish I remembered the name of the barista because he was so friendly and helpful. This place definitely isn't strict about masks (none of the customers inside has a mask even though they weren't eating or drinking coffee). I would still bring one because you do have to order with a mask but afterwards you can sit and work for hours without wearing one. However they have outdoor seating so you can opt for that if you're a healthcare worker, teacher, or someone around a lot of people etc. read more

I am a PRESS fanatic. The girl that helped me explained each roast and what she recommended for a pour over. Good coffee shouldn't require loads of cream and sugar. I drank mine black and and it was AMAZING. I've gone back numerous time and the service is outstanding every time. The avocado toast was super hearty and enough to feed two people! read more

Cool space but understaffed/poor service. Went on a Saturday morning for coffee/breakfast before an appointment 40 minutes later. Stood in line for 5 minutes before anyone came to the register to take orders, all the while the line of customers was growing. Instead, 2 employees slowly made coffee drinks and loitered wiping counters and tidying. Then when I went to order, I was informed 30 minutes wait. Really? For an egg sandwich? I was told "it's because we're busy". I want to support the business, but plenty other coffee shops have great food/drink and timely service. read more

Great visual. Love the circle decor. Great hot breakfast selections. Food was prepared fresh to order (opposed to pulled from plastic wrap and put in high heat convection oven) and was quite tasty. The coffee, however, was a bit of a disappointment. A little on the flavorless side. They also had CNN streaming on oversized large screen which was a disappointment for an otherwise up to date vibe. Nice option for breakfast and coffee that is close to, but not actually in downtown Phoenix. They have oat milk, which is creamier so I don't need to add extra sugar to my iced coffee. I like their avocado toast as well. Perfectly sized for breakfast or for a snack. I've stopped by a few times now and have had enjoyable visits. Nice open space with street visibility. read more

The person taking our order was very rude, not very helpful or nice about answering our questions about the coffee. Also, when paying with credit, the machine prompts you for a tip. On 3 drinks totaling $14, the recommended tip amount was $2.50, really? I really don't get that, they are simply taking our order and making the coffee we requested, I really don't appreciate the pressure of making a choice while cashier is staring at you. Decided to check out another coffee spot to work out of and Press did not disappoint. The inside is modern with plenty of light and space. The atmosphere is relaxed and noise level is on par with most coffee shops. Multiple members of the staff greeted me and then took my order. I had the nitro coffee and a breakfast egg wrap and both were awesome. The wrap seemed light and was not greasy or oily like at many other breakfast places. An enjoyable spot to grab some coffee, or a drink (since they are applying for a liquor license) and some lunch. Will certainly be back soon. read more

I love that Press keeps expanding. They are a locally grown business and it shows. I have been here 3 times, and each time I have been happy. The first time I just needed a place to sit, to meet a business associate and they were cool with that. The second time I ordered the most basic bagel, but it had the best ratio of crunch, warmth and softness. But my favorite was today. I had the turkey wrap. I know it seems basic, but there is a skill to a wrap. It wasn't soggy, it has amazing bacon crunch. There isn't any overwhelming flavors, they all blend perfectly. I am a fan! read more

The sandwich & breakfast choices are great. If you're in the area in the evening, this is also a wonderful place to stop in for a beer or glass of wine! I ordered a cold brew, which was pretty standard. The breakfast burrito was fine but not worth the money given the plethora of cheaper and better breakfast burritos in town. The staff was very friendly but they only had one guy making breakfasts at breakfast time on a weekend, so it took way too long to get our food. The only reason why I haven't rated it five stars, is because I've only been here a handful of times and I keep getting the same thing. My daughter took me downtown to show me places she liked to go and we stopped into Press coffee on Central just north of McDowell. The atmosphere was great and the design and layout were spot on. Service was exceptional and I like that they have a large counter to place drinks as they come out. Some places have this little counter that if 4-5 people are getting their drinks at the same time it's a bit crazy. The manager greeted us with a smile and when he asked what I would like I said surprise me and he made this awesome iced coffee mocha with cinnamon in it. Definitely a fan of that drink. Enjoyed spending time with my daughter there and will definitely be back. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. read more
