This was a cute coffee shop around the corner from the hotel I was staying in in downtown Denver. I stopped by here two of the four mornings I was in town and I tried a hot chocolate, a chai latte, and their bacon empanada. I went right around 7am both days and there were one or two other customers that were there or who came in while I was there. Service was attentive and quick. The issue I had was that the first day, when I got a hot chocolate, it was lukewarm at best. I was a little confused, particularly because when I walked outside in the cold with it, it would get even cooler. I went to the counter and asked if it was intentionally that way? They said they could make it warmer for me, but that what I received was drinking temperature. I'm not sure who orders a hot beverage and wants it lukewarm. To their credit, they did warm it up for me. The second day, I had to specifically ask for it to be hot. Interestingly enough, I see several reviews that also mention that the beverages at Press are not hot. So, just know if you want a hot drink, you need to ask for that. The empanada was just OK. The dough was nice and flaky, but the contents were mostly eggs. There was very minimal cheese or bacon. Prices here I thought were very fair. This was a cute coffee shop that was convenient to my hotel but after going two consecutive days, I chose to spend my other two mornings elsewhere.

Convenient stop to grab coffee by the Convention Center! There is plenty of seating inside and tables were clean. Staff were friendly, orders were prepared quickly. Got an iced latte which was solid and prices were comparable to other shops in the area.

Press Coffee is a nice café that's convenient to get to from the convention center. The space is nice, too, with a good amount of seating both indoors and outdoors. They have lattes in four sizes (8 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz, & 20 oz). I tried the 16 oz, which has two shots of espresso. The flavor of the coffee was nice, with the typical dark and bitter notes you'd expect for espresso. But even though I got the coffee as soon as it hit the bar, the latte wasn't very hot. That ended up being helpful while walking around in the sun outside, but it was still a bit disappointing. That said, I'd come back to Press while attending a conference. I'd like to try their empanadas, which they offer as part of a deal with their coffee.

If you ever find yourself in downtown Phoenix, Press Coffee is a lively and welcoming coffee spot! I got myself the Hazelnut Cold Brew with whole milk. The cold brew was a bit on the sour side, but was refreshing and hit the spot. The empanada tastes almost as if it has a good quality omelet inside of it! Mine came out a bit on the harder, slightly burnt side. However, the packet of Cholula was a great addition to elevate the flavor. Overall, a cozy place to get your morning started, catch up with friends, or get some work done. Loved the decor and appreciated the friendly staff!

Nice interior, but the staff was unfriendly. Our main issue was the misleading advertising. Both their website and their Google and Yelp pages stated that this branch (EVB) serves hot breakfast sandwiches and empanadas, which is why we chose this spot. However, when we arrived, we were told that they don't offer breakfast sandwiches at this location--only empanadas and sweet baked goods like muffins. They had no empanadas at the time (8 AM). We're not fans of sweet breakfasts but didn't have time to look for another place. So, we ended up ordering a muffin, a croissant, and a latte. The coffee was okay, but the baked goods were overly sweet, to the point that we couldn't finish them. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you're looking for savory options or value accurate advertising.

Press Coffee imPRESSed me and my friend! I loved my matcha latte and espresso shot. Great real flavor and not watered down. Plus the dessert bites were such a great addition to our coffee. My friend got a caramel shaker and for me who doesn't like things too sweet for drinks, I thought it was well done! Clean place and the staff was friendly. Loved the amount of seating as well so it didn't feel crammed and my friend and I had a nice catching up.

This is a convenient coffee location to downtown. My biggest draw were the breakfast empanadas, which didn't disappoint. They were full of egg, with a hearty crust that felt very homemade. It was an unusual but satisfying accompaniment to my iced latte. The interior is a little sterile, and feels very corporate office building aesthetic, but the food and coffee are delivered. The service was friendly, and they were helpful to guide me the the best coffee to get there.

We were in Phoenix for work for a few days, staying at a downtown hotel near the convention center. The first thing I always do when we arrive at the hotel is look for a nearby coffee shop, preferably a local shop or chain (no offense to the Bux or Peets), for our morning caffeine fix. Press's East Van Buren (EVB) location was just around the corner from our hotel so I ordered our usual, an iced oat milk latte and an oat milk matcha latte. We both agreed the drinks were good, but nothing out of this world. I would go again, but I think we'll look for some other shops to try out as well. I will say, with so many locations in/around Phoenix, Press is very convenient and you're sure to find one near where you are. On their website, they heavily promote their mobile app, offering $5 off a first order and some points to start. Unfortunately, as you can read from the reviews in the app store, the app is terrible. I consider myself fairly tech savvy and yet it still took multiple tries to verify BOTH my phone number and email address. If you leave the app open, none of the data refreshes. For example, I browsed locations at night after all the locations were closed so it correctly indicated the location was closed and would open at 6:30am. Opened the app up at 7am the next morning and it still said the location was closed and would open at 6:30am. I had to close and reopen the app to be able to order. At best, the UI/UX is clunky. At worst, it's barely usable. The sad part is that there are reviews going back years that detail the problems with it, yet they have not invested in making improvements. Mobile ordering seemed to work fine, though only drinks are available so it isn't possible to order food. On top of that, I didn't get $5 off my first order so either I misread the promotion or it was no longer active (though still being promoted on their website).

Surprisingly great coffee! And this coming from a certified coffee snob. My hubs agrees, and he is equally a snob of the coffees. His policy is that nothing is ever worthy of 5 stars, because everything can improve. I'm giving this place 5 stars. He didn't argue with me. He got a latte - hot - and so pretty! I got an iced vanilla soy latte. The roast is smooooth with no bitter aftertaste. Makes for great coffee. Before I head out, I'm picking up a bag of ground to cart home to Tulsa with me. read more

The good: Beautiful interiors, and very friendly customer service. I was greeted immediately as I walked in. The not-so-good: Entrance is on Central Avenue, heading south towards McDowell Rd, it will be on the right. This is the only entrance that I know of, so make sure you are traveling the correct path. But most importantly, they only have honey and sugar as sweeteners. Honey is tough in coffee, as it clumps up in cold coffee and has trouble dissolving, even in warm coffee. And granular sugars are the same. If a coffee spot doesn't offer simple syrup or agave syrup- both of which dissolve excellently in both cold and warm coffee-I assume they don't really know coffee drinkers. Get some agave, and i'll be back. . read more

I just enjoyed a double shot and a coffee here. The double shot (house blend) was so good: rich crema, thick, sweet, caramel-ly, which is hard to find in third wave coffee shops lately. The single origin (Mexico) drip was also excellent. To top it off, the baristas were attentive and friendly. read more

Finally a coffee place that is not a disappointment! Located right on Central Ave so it is a busy street. Parking is free under the garage. Walked in and the environment feels new and refreshing. I love the smell of their coffee. Plenty of seatings and this place is very mellow. I got their White Chocolate Latte and I love how it was not that sweet because I control how much sugar U can put in afterwards. Coffee goes down smoothly and it taste so refreshing. I would definitely be back and try their teas. read more

The interior is modern with a bit of a cold feeling to it. This is decidedly not not a "homey" chill out place, and the music was horrific. As I sat down they were playing Justin Bieber (I'm not lying) and they followed it up with some like-sounding pop pap. Good god, I hope this isn't what our future neighbors are going to be like. That said, my caramel latte was actually pretty good. I guess if you hate all of those "crazy" "artsy" places in the neighborhood this is your place. read more

New spot for me! Press has good parking in the retail space at MUSE. Coffee is good as is iced tea. They have several varieties of avocado toast. The interior is modern but there is a nice little patio outdoors when the weather permits. Customer service is friendly but not over the top. I honestly cannot find fault with them other than it takes a while for the coffee but they did my specific order well. I recommend Press but am hoping that it doesn't clog their parking. read more

What's not to like? Excellent coffee with plenty of options for everyone. Super sweet baristas and great customer service. A menu that isn't just sweets, although I indulged in a zucchini muffin (it was delicious). Ample seating indoors and out on the patio. Savory menu includes breakfast from burritos to various toasts, eggs and lunch too! And the wifi is free. Seriously- what's not to like! read more

Every time I go into this location I get a wonderful response. Parking is free and easy there, music isn't loud, the people behind the counter aren't pretentious and are extremely knowledgeable. I value good coffee and they have some of the highest rated beans in AZ. They really showcase the respect of coffee and the passion for it. They are always willing to answer my questions and do so with the confidence of someone who wants to just spread the love and passion. They have a great food menu and is one of the only breakfast places in central phoenix that you don't have to wait in line to eat. They open at 6:30 so you can order your food to go even. It's always super clean and polished. In fact, I've been to other press locations, and they all seem to hold up this standard of respect and responsibility. I want to finalize it by stating that it is more attention detailed and calm and real than your average corporate coffee shop. They don't give you that fake customer service (where you leave the place wondering if they were actually nice or just fake nice) that most corporate places give you. They also don't want you to feel like you'd rather have that fake nice. I don't think they've ever given me small talk and I thank them for that. Press has been one of those real experiences in a city full of fake smiles. Thank guys read more

Update: the owner finally called me, said his coffee is fresh and when they get an order they bag the coffee beans. Sorry what I got was not fresh, it was stale, turned to dust when I grind it. no smell when brewing or taste,. I offered to meet with him anywhere to show him, that's when he said he would refund my money but not the posted I had paid. I still stand with what I wrote, it is an experience I will never forget and will not try again! I still would rate it a zero....... read more

Excellent products that are served here. They have different brews on tap and even have Wild Tonic kombucha on tap, which I was totally digging. One of the best kombucha's I've ever tried thus far. My favorite place for coffee in Central Phoenix. Wonderful staff and the coffee is grand. My favorite is an iced chai made with almond milk. They do something miraculous with it to make it extra creamy and frothy, which is not easy to do with almond milk. It's delicious. Also highly recommend their breakfast burritos, and the salads are great! read more

I have gone to the Press coffee at Kierland a few times and love the taste and richness of the coffee. It is amazingly smooth and expertly roasted. I also went to a Press coffee tasting where they taught us all about the different kinds of coffee and how to notice differences in the flavors. It was such a fun way to spend Saturday morning! It was a small group of people in the back of Sorso. They prepare a power point and are so passionate about coffee. Not like the fake coffee drinkers who just drink Starbucks with tons of milk and flavors. This is real coffee love and appreciation. This new location is much bigger and brighter than the one at Kierland with a great vibe. There is free covered parking which is awesome because parking downtown can be a pain. The baristas are so nice and good at what they do. Highly recommend Press as one of the best coffee roasters in Arizona. read more

Great customer service, and the best hazelnut latte I've ever had. Also, THE FOOD. I've only tried the breakfast sandwich so far, but it was AMAZING. My friend had the breakfast burrito and said it was literally the best breakfast burrito that he's ever had. You have to try this place. I was walking to Lola and stopped here instead. I'm a huge fan of Lola as well as Giant (both nearby) and I've got to say that Press is going to give both a run for their money. All have equally high quality espresso. Seating is much better here at Press than at Lola. I had an egg, potato, bacon, cheddar, chipotle burrito. It was delicious. All ingredients cooked well and the tortilla was crisped on a press/grill. Four stars only because the pastry selection is on the generic side. But I'd come back for the food and coffee any time! read more

Fresh roasted coffee beans available. I grind my own each morning so this place was a move find to try new types of beans. Looks like a nice place to just chill and enjoy your beverage but I have only purchased coffee beans. So far I liked all three kinds I purchased and tried at home. Will be back for more. read more

I am very confused. I have been to Press in downtown Phoenix twice since it has opened. On both occasions, I have had fantastic experiences. The coffee that I tried (latte, nitro cold brew, and regular cold brew) has been excellent, as was their hibiscus iced tea. The breakfast burritos are crispy, filling, and extremely tasty--I recommend getting it with bacon, cheddar, and chipotle sauce. The staff has been friendly and polite, and the atmosphere is great for working or relaxing. As someone who has frequented, perhaps, too many coffee shops in the valley, I feel qualified to say that Press is among the best. What's especially confusing is that a few weeks ago, Press downtown had many more positive reviews. Most of these have inexplicably disappeared, leaving a few negative (and IMO inaccurate) ratings. To those who have visited and had experiences like mine, please take a moment to review! I hope that this, my first ever review on Yelp, helps them recover their deserved reputation. read more

Was unfortunately very disappointed with Press Coffee. Had been recommended this place by a friend but both times I had to wait over fifteen minutes for a single coffee. The first time there were a couple people in line of ahead of me so it was more understandable but still quite a long wait, but the second time, there was no one ahead of me. The barista just seemed to be fiddling with the machines without actually doing anything. When I finally got my order, a cappuccino, it turned out not to be a cappuccino at all but rather a milky latte without any foam. Very disappointed. Will not be returning. read more

But seeing as this was a close option from where we were and had good ratings, it was good, but nothing special that I would make a point to come back for. The menu was relatively large, though, so this should be a solid option if you're on the fence about what you want to eat for breakfast or lunch.

The barista was telling me about the ingredients, the syrups and milks they use and when I had my chance I interrupted and said " make this one as spicy as possible, please!!" and she knew what I meant. Without skipping a beat she pulled out the cinnamon and loaded it up all while disappointedly explaining to me that the syrup they use is actually the lesser of two spiced chai syrups offered by the manufacturer and that she was sad to see the other had gone a while ago (RIP even spicier chai latte). C'est la vie; I guess, this was still one tasty chai though. Now we're chatting about the tea and vanilla creamer I use at home, but be sure you use both a packet of Stash double chai as well as one Stash red dragon - it's the mix of both that really seal the deal for an at home chai and then use some of the vanilla oat milk creamer to get that at home chai latte-esq experience. We went our separate ways after giving up our own insights into the world of chai and her handing me the drink I was there for, but I still think about that chai latte from time to time. I spent the next hour or so prattling on with friends, commenting on about how the table fit all of us comfortably and the nice interior space of monorchid was big enough to fit us all without pushing out anyone else. Well, that and the state of world politics and how of course they would all fix everything if only ... Sorry, I dozed off a bit after they went on about fixing things from their current position as "Assistant to the Regional Manager" - or something akin to that title. We smack talked eachothers mommas, but in a respectful way. We challenged each other to feats of strength, but only with our thumbs, what are we barbarians?!? We parted ways in a draw because we will always live to fight another day while sipping a tasty Chai Latte because it's definitly better than your espresso, no the espesso is better, no my refreshing juice is better than both your espresso and chai latte. Only the most engaging debates for us quite noble thinkers at this coffee house and cafe!

It's a spacious place that serves coffee, tea, sandwiches, and croissants. They have a bunch of long tables to sit in. It costs a $1 to add special syrup to any of your drinks. I had a classic club and a 160oz medium roast coffee with white chocolate syrup. This cost me $18.82. The food was great and so was my drink. Sometimes they play music a bit too loud for my tastes but otherwise, it's a good place to get a group together for some studying.
