Their 1st appt for assessment of our kitchen and front hallway tiles was quick and comprehensive. We asked for their floor/grout cleaning & coloring. Also had some cracked tiles replaced. They were very accommodating in saving our cost estimate until our kitchen remodel project was over a month away. Rockne was our service technician who was very experienced in applying their flr & grout cleaning; along with repairing grout and replacing tiles. We had some restoration work done on our ceramic tile floor and afterward needed some chipped tiles repaired and the grout color sealed. Prestige did both the chip repairs and the sealing. The service fellow, Fabian, arrived on time, was exceptionally pleasant and helpful, explained everything he was going to do, and did a great job. As long as we were at it, we showed him the floor of an upstairs bathroom, just to see if perhaps at a later date Prestige might clean it for us. After getting approval from his supervisor, he said he could do it right then, and for just a little bit more money made the floor look like new. Very pleased with these folks. I contracted with Prestige after a year and a half of back and forth. I had been in communication with Justin as I was trying to decide between marble restoration or a bathroom reno. Here we go... The work was scheduled to take place over a Thurs/Fri and would need 7 days to dry. The work done those two days was so poor I sent a really ridiculous email to Justin after the workers left. He immediately called me and said my complaints were valid & that he has 5 complaints/year about this one employee but he's been with them for 12 years. Okay...red flag. I was leaving for a vacation the next day but felt we got to a good place on the phone. He was going to send his brother out to make all the repairs after vaca. I got back from vacation and used my shower (8 days later) and grout washed away. Then I started to notice more. They completely scratched up my month-old white toilet with their equipment. Tiles weren't all shiny on my bathroom floor, some still looked honed. This was all on top of everything else I had pointed out to the worker before they left & to Justin on the phone/email. Justin sent his brother out, he was very nice and professional. But he didn't even fix all the things on my and Justin's list. Then...the grout washed away again. So he came BACK out. Then it washed away a THIRD time. So he came back. I kept saying is there moisture? Why isn't the grout taking? And they kept just reapplying the same grout and Justin kept saying 24 hours to dry. His brother was like "I mean Justin is the owner, so do what he says. But this stuff takes a week." So nonetheless, I was out of my only shower for weeks. I finally told Justin this was so inconvenient and he said "believe me, I understand." I was like...you literally don't understand. Finally Justin calls me to tell me he needs to send the one guy back out. I had told Justin I didn't want that guy back in my home but he needed to send him because of his "expertise." I was like lol. So I called Justin that morning and asked what the plan was because I could not go without a shower anymore. He goes we are going to use sanded grout but it's the same brand and color as the epoxy we used in the rest of the shower floor. I made it clear my concern was that it would be a different color or texture since they, of course, would only ever patch the area. He was like no that won't happen, it will match. His worker said the same thing. I had also questioned the epoxy grout the whole time because I had sanded grout underneath and despite being 30 years old, it never had issues. I give the shower THREE days to dry. It finally didn't wash away but the grout is legit grey. It looks like concrete. This is about a 1.5' long area in the middle of my shower. Never once offered a discount, I even paid for something on my estimate that the workers didn't do and when I mentioned that to Justin he said he didn't want to talk about my estimate over text. But he continued to tell me time and time again "well that wasn't in your estimate." I'm sorry I work in finance not in marble restoration but if the issues that happened to me happen with other clients you would think the "experts" would include some of this in the estimate. Not to mention I had them come out TWICE for the estimate because I had a lot of concerns and questions. They told me I'd be able to wipe my shower down with a microfiber cloth, it would be so glossy and clean. They never did anything to my shower walls. Didn't even regrout the 2" lip on the side where the glass sliding doors are. Justin said I "didn't pay for any vertical spaces." Like what a joke. Btw my tiny bathroom to have the shower floor regrouted (19 times), my bathroom floor buffed was $3500. I let Justin know my grout was grey, as I expected would happen and he said he would come back and do the work "no down time" and that there always seems to be a miscommunication when he sends someone else out. I was like no, there's no miscommunication NO ONE LISTENS TO ME. In that same text I said "I'm done, I don't want anyone else coming back to my home." And what does he offer, to come to my home. I was very nice to Justin, apologized for being difficult or texting him at 5:30 (since they close at 5:30 on the dot) but ultimately I told him I do not feel I got a 100% job but I paid more than 100%. I thought they were going to do more, definitely what was said to me at the walkthroughs. I'd say, if you can, try and look elsewhere. I was very disappointed in so many things on what should have been such a small project. Despite talking to Justin after the first initial bad experience and feeling like he truly cared and would ensure everything was fixed, I don't feel that way now. Despite the FIVE visits to fix the same things, he never once checked in to ask how the grout was holding, etc. I included some of our texts as I see he has a response to everyone else's reviews. Justin came to our home and explained the process that his crew goes through. He answered all of our questions thoroughly. He was on time for our appointment and was not pushy at all. We decided to sign and paid for the service to clean and seal our kitchen and master bathroom tile iggt then and there. We felt his company and price was right! We scheduled right then and there too. His crew was here today and we are so happy with the results. We had even considered getting new tile, but our tile looks brand new now! So glad we just cleaned and resealed. Do not believe the 5 star reviews here! The people that work at this Prestige Grout Tile & Stone are not only unprofessional (owner Justine included) but condescending. After being told our master shower would take 48 hrs instead of the regular 24hrs Cesar walked away without scheduling his return date with the office that should have been completed 2 days later. He also told my wife that since he hadn't completed the job that Jennifer "probably wouldn't charge the remaining $100 of the whopping price of $1500. Jennifer charged our card the moment Cesar left. Jennifer the secretary then schedules us for a week later because they had no other times available she said. Astoundingly the day Cesar was to arrive he calls to say he's ready to arrive at 11am despite the fact we were scheduled for a 3p-5p window my wife informed him we were both at work and she would be home at 4 as discussed with Jennifer he said ok. When my wife called Jennifer at 5pm not knowing we were blown off by Cesar, we were offered 8am the following morning. We then left a voicemail to confirm we could do that. When they finally answered the phone at 11am the following morning Jennifer said "I apologize" 8-10 times and refused to offer anything else saying "all we have is Friday because you denied Wednesday's service call." Cesar had lied. When I spoke to the owner Justin he said "I apologize" another 10 times and said we got into the office late and had already assigned 8am to someone else. Even though we left the voicemail confirming 8am. When I asked for a partial refund for the continued sub-standard service Justin replied, "if I gave everyone a refund that asked for it I'd be out of business." Think about that a moment. He then blew me off by telling me he'd talk to Jennifer and get back to me. Luckily I'm not holding my breath. Customers mean nothing to these people. My guess is since you supposedly won't need the service for 5 years or so, they really don't expect to see you again anyway and could care less about you. If you like being jerked around & treated with no respect for your time & pay a pretty penny to do so you'll love this company! read more

We had new quartz countertops installed which sustained some damage during the installation process. The company that we used could not fix the damage after 3 tries, and they actually made it worse. I had used Prestige a year earlier to clean and seal our kitchen floor tile and they did a fabulous job. I recalled that they also did countertop restoration. They came in, for a reasonable price, and were able to restore the finish on our countertops. Scratches were eliminated and it looks so much better. I would recommend them for both your grout restoration projects and countertops, too. read more

I was introduced to Prestige Grout & Tile at a home show at Arlington Park. I had several companies come and give free estimates. Justin from PG&T came out and gsave me an estimate; he also gave me several cost savings estimates. We scheduled the service for the followoing week. The Technician Seuk called prior to arrival and immediately got to work. He was so professional and patient, advised me of the steps he would take to clean & color seal the flooring - when it was time for me to pick the actual color Seuk gave me 4-5 color suggestions, he placed the samples in various sections so that I could see how they would look in the direct sunlight, etc. Seuk made suggestions; and again was so patient he even stated "its important that you are satisfied, so take your time in deciding" After he was done I was AMAZED at how much I loved the color and how great my floors looked read more

My tile looks fantastic. The bathroom is about 20 years old and the tile was starting to show it's age but is otherwise in great shape. They looked so much better after a deep clean and sealing, and the grout looks so fresh and new. It is all much easier to clean now as well. Justin,how untruthful you guys are,I never called yelling or swearing, as you put it, you called me at 7:45 am, to tell me that your worker is running few minutes late, few minutes not an hour and a half, he is picking out supply for my job,which was fine. But when an hour later I called you to ask where is your guy, you were very surprised that he was not at my house yet, which was 9 am at that point, you did not mention anything about tire on his truck. Only when he called me to tell me that it will take him another 1/2 hour to get to my house,and he is the one to come up with the tire story. I am blaming myself for trusting you that old tiles is going to look like new,but it is waist of my money and time. To top it all when I called you to ask why some parts of tile look shiny and some dull, you said that your worker will come back to buff it, it happens after sealer gets dry, but when he came in, he said that my tile is not going to get better it's the tile,which you should have told me that instead of promising something that could not be delivered. Jason, My wife hired you to clean the stone on our mudroom floor. After the cleaning, there was no improvement in the appearance of the floor. You were well paid for the first job. Since that initial cleaning process was unsuccessful, you advised application of a cleaning paste which seemed helpful after a trial application. You indicated that you would e-mail a quote for the second job. That was never done. You indicated that your crew would arrive at 8 AM. You workers arrived at 9:30. You charged $500 for a one-hour job to treat a 24 foot square area (measured). Two workers arrived to perform the work, one of whom talked with my wife most of the time. I am well aware of the cost of materials and labor. However, I think your fee is excessive and unjustified. read more

I found Prestige Grout & Tile through an advertising mass mailing offering a coupon for $110 off applicable services. I sent photos of my slate shower to Justin, the owner, who suggested a plan to treat the area. I mentioned to both him and his office assistant, Jenny, that I found Prestige through a mailer with the coupon. The business had some internet issues when it came to billing, and when I reminded them to include the promotional coupon, I was told it had expired and would not be offered. VERY DISAPPOINTED! This was not a cheap project (over $1000). Not two days later I received another mailer with their ad with the same coupon. They still didn't offer it to me! Poor business ethics! Look elsewhere. There are other tile places out there that want to keep customers happy. read more

From the first contact with Prestige Grout & Tile I was treated in a friendly, professional manner. Jenny, the lady who answered the phone, was extremely pleasant and very efficient. She took down any information I requested and made sure I received a prompt call back to answer any questions I had. Justin came out and gave me an evaluation and estimate and explained in detail the work that he would do to get my 60 year old ceramic tile floors looking like new again. There was a great amount of grout as the floor was made of 3 small sizes of tiles, 1" x 1", 1" x 2" and 2" x 2". Due to the small size of the tiles, the yellow staining around the edge, the discoloration from age and the carpet matting, this was a major job. Justin assured me that he was confident that he would be able to bring the floor back to it's original beauty. I called Prestige Tile a few times before they came out with additional questions and both he and Jenny were extremely responsive and very prompt in returning my calls and answering my questions. The day of the job Justin and his crew came out promptly as promised, and did an incredible job. I was hesitant that the tile and grout could be restored due to it's age and wear. Justin proved me wrong and lived up to his promise that he would completely restore the floor to it's original beauty. He explained each step of the process and encouraged me to ask any questions. He even had me choose from several grout stains to make sure the color I chose was exactly what I wanted. When he was finished he made sure I carefully inspected the floor to make sure I was pleased. I was so impressed as I never imagined the tile and grout would come out looking like new. They did an exceptional job and I am 110% satisfied with their work and the results. I had a few questions a few weeks after the job was completed and the follow-up from Justin and Jenny was great. They got back to me, answered my questions and were very responsive. I have had experience with many companies who tend to "lose your number" after the job is completed and they have been paid. This is not the case with Prestige and they provide exceptional follow-up and take great pride in their work. They truly wanted to make sure I was pleased with every aspect of the job. Presitge Grout & Tile came out to clean my the grout in my existing tile floor. They did a great job, were very professional, clean and neat. They also were supposed to replace 3 of my broken tiles with extra tiles that I had, and the ended up doing 4 for the same price. My tile floor looks fabulous. The grout is all clean now and the floor looks brand new. I would use them again, and definitely recommend them. To start, pricing and promises were out of line with the services provided. Using standard equipment (grout steamer, floor buffer, razor blades,Zep brand stripper and grout cleaners, grout colorant) that anyone could get/rent at home improvement store for a few dollars - worked out to $107 per man hour for the limited-skilled labor received. Even with the exorbitant pricing, the workers appear to be on commission because everything is an upcharge. Spending thousands on a small bathroom, and you have to specify that caulking was included? They suddenly locate lose tiles and want to charge $100 a tile to re-adhere? $800 extra to polish small stone floor and after a short time of running standard buffing machine with diamond mats ask if you want it shinier for a large upcharge? They worked hard and did good job with portions of the work, but were obviously not experienced with porous stone .. they painted (using colorant) the entire tile - not just the grout - now our expensive mosaic border tiles no longer have distinct colors but are monotone and appear if someone painted the tile in our bathroom (which is what they did). read more
