The ambiance at this Pret was nice. It was a bit spacious and had some nice seating areas. This was by far the best service I have ever had at a Pret. I asked for the matcha on the advertisement above the cashier. It was apparently a strawberry lavender lemonade matcha (or something like that.) He rang me up for my purchases. I paid then he apologized for not asking what size I wanted. He made me a large. The drink was something close to a mocktail- a new thing for Pret I think. All-in- all a very pleasant surprise. And of course my roast beef carrot slaw wrap was good too. Pret has always been a dependable staple for a quick bite anywhere I find one. As far as Pret locations go this one is hit or miss but I give an extra star for the fact that this a really busy location/intersection with a lot of corporate offices in the building as well as across the street. My main gripe is the Pret app doesn't show what items are out of stock so sometimes I will order a peppermint tea and arrive to be told they are out, but that's not really the baristas problem. They are nice enough to give me an alternative drink without up charging me. The food tastes fresh and is a decent price compared to quick lunch options in the area. Ambiance wise, it could be a little cleaner and all the furniture is totally beat up from daily use. It gets a bit loud during the break and lunch rushes but hey that's a coffee shop. I still love using the Pret membership for my morning and afternoon drinks, it's a great deal and keeps me coming back. read more

Prior to Covid, when I actually worked completely in the office, Pret was daily go to for lunch-- Moroccan Lentil and sometimes Tomato Feta, was on the menu, for myself. I finally made my return after about two and a half years to this location, as it's very close to my new office. I was first taken aback when I saw the price of a large soup had gone up over two dollars since then. As I waited in line, I was confused about where to stand-- the two people at the counter saw me stand in the incorrect place, but did not correct me or let me know I was standing in the wrong place. After I saw two people go ahead of me, I noticed my error-- but I was peeved because I was there before both of them and they could have mentioned to me: I instantly realized I missed my old Pret location Downtown Manhattan; as they were vocal, and had a more welcoming atmosphere-- the lighting in here was dim, which is different than any other Pret location I've been to. I may visit from time to time, but sadly, this will no longer be my go to spot for lunch. read more

I had a brief but positive experience at this Pret tonight. Most Pret stores in Manhattan close at 7:30 PM but this one is open until 11:30 PM on weekdays! That's a huge boon for night owls, workers getting off a late shift, and (in my case) theatergoers after an evening show. The inside is well lit and indeed spacious with three seating areas. Initially when I walked inside I wasn't sure if the store was still open because I didn't see any Pret employees, but after a few minutes the cashier popped out from behind the backroom and apologized for the wait. I ordered a regular latte using my coffee subscription, and a second employee made it right away while the cashier swept floors and chatted to me about last night's rain storm. Needed a small lunch to tide us over to Thanksgiving dinner in the UWS. Luckily this location was open and the food was fresh and delicious! Def not a good location. The staff are rude or sit and chat while one person works the register. After ordering, he told me to step aside so he could take someone else's order and that he would get to mine soon. When he finally had a moment to make my coffee, he then handed it to me without a holder. I first thought well maybe the cup is thicker, but as I walked down the street my hands were burning and he overfilled the cup so with each step coffee came up through the lid burning my hands. I like the simplicity of Pret if you just want a coffee and croissant. The baristas can certainly whip up something fancy, but sometimes it's nice to just serve yourself a cup. The chocolate hazelnut croissant is noteworthy, because it's filled like pain au chocolate, but is the shape and consistency of a croissant. read more

This location is spacious. The almond croissants are the bomb. They are light flaky and buttery but I still got an extra side of butter to add to this croissant. It's a great breakfast and reasonably priced. The green / mango tea with pomegranate is refreshing and delicious. The staff is friendly, the wifi is reliable and it's not far from radio city hall. The nice thing about Pret is, the food is the same no matter what time of day or which Pret it is - you know exactly what you're getting, every time. Except this one. I've been to this store many times because I work in the building. This is easily the worst Pret in the city. 1. On average, the shelves are 25% full and completely empty during breakfast hours. There are never pastries in the front. 2. The morning manager clearly cannot handle the stress of running a busy store. When there are more than 3-4 customers, he loses his cool and yells at / berates the customers. He has done this to me and I have seen him do this to others. 3. There is no system for giving customers drinks in order. Another reviewer described it as a "zoo" which was on point. It's complete chaos. 4. Last week, I got a cold brew coffee, & it tasted like half coffee / half tea, which was gross enough - but there were scummy tea leaves (or something!) at the bottom of the cup. I work in the building so normally this would be my go-to. Because this one is run so poorly, I walk over to the one on 53rd and Broadway - for some reason, they don't seem to have similar problems at that store. read more

We ordered 2 hours early for a designated pick up time, only to discover they didn't fulfill the order, didn't notify me, and barely had any sandwiches left. Good quick stop for healthy munchees! There's also free wifi! I had the kale Caesar salad, chicken not much flavor but that's where dressing comes in. I really love Pret A Manger's coconut water!! Absolutely disgraceful. Although their customer service is great, the food is unkept. The juices looked like they'd been there for days, dusty and clear, with the vegetable or fruit lying at the bottom. There were barely any pastries at 10am. I naught a Caprese baguette, and for some strange reason, it had pesto sauce on it. I'm pretty certain The Caprese never does. I also purchased a "fresh" lemonade. When I opened it, it smelled like alcohol, and when I drank it, it tasted like soda, like it was way past it's due date. Disgusting establishment, I was very annoyed and disappointed. read more

Have not had a bad experience, service is pretty good generally, and food is great. I understand that they run out from time to time, part of the risk with fresher food. Lentil soup is the way to go. Watch the calorie count on the grilled cheese, that's the only downside here... Falls a little bit outside what I might expect from an otherwise health forward fast food restaurant. I really only go to Pret for coffee and their chocolate chip cookie. Lately, in the last few months, this location decided they weren't going to leave their milk supply out, for the coffee. You have to go to the counter and ask for it. Really annoying and inefficient. I'm also not sure if its just this location or a new Pret policy. read more

This place has super fast services, and I really enjoyed their coffee and bagels. Since it was so fast, I didn't expect to have a warm and toasted bagel, but it was! They have regular, decaf and flavored self-serve coffee. Why are all the Prets in this area so sloppy? I used to often get lunch at Pret when I worked in other parts of the city, but the 3 locations nearest me in the Rockefeller Center area are so sloppy, I've often gone in, looked at the food, and left in disgust. The one in the concourse, the one on 50th between 6th and 7th, and the one on 7th and 52nd all have a problem making sandwiches in particular - they seem to think the best way to make a sandwich is to have 2/3rd of the ingredients falling out of the front. I come here regularly as it is right across the street from my office. Food is always a solid option here but my review is on a drink I recently ordered, iced almond milk matcha latte. I literally cringed when I saw them make it. They poured the matcha powder directly into the cold almond milk and stirred but that just left huge clumps of the powder at the bottom of my drink. All the other pret's that I've gotten it from mixed the powder with a little hot water first to make it smooth and then poured it into the milk. Not sure if it was laziness or lack of knowledge but please keep it consistent. read more

I don't eat bread so it is always a little hard to find something, but I ended up grabbing the balsamic chicken with mozzarella and tomato baguette and an English Breakfast tea while my mom grabbed an egg and avocado baguette and a coffee. The staff is really nice and friendly, the space is always clean and welcoming. The salads are my favorite, and it's annoying the dressing costs extra but they are so fresh and tasty it's worth it.
