This is not my favorite Starbucks considering that it is located in Times Square and would it expect it to be much nicer. I came here to get a little work done while enjoying my drink. My pumpkin spice latte was very tasty but what was disappointing was that the wifi wasn't work so I was not able to get any work done. When the issue was addressed to an employee, they said they would tell the manager. I was there for two hours and the issue never got resolved. I will now avoid coming to this Starbucks for that reason. read more

This is a typical Starbucks. This location is right in Times Square so conveniently located and easy to get to when you need a pick me up from that sightseeing! This was our first time here, it was labeled reserve so I didnt know what that meant. It seemed like it had a bar area with taps but it was not open. It was just like any other Starbucks, but larger. It had lots of indoor seating with tables and high-tops. We did not have to wait very long to order and even though there were about 20 people waiting for their drinks, it moved very fast, and they came out quickly. We had no issues with the staff, they were very nice and polite, even when the family in front of us did not know what to order. It was later in the day so most of their food items were already sold out. Not a problem, we only wanted drinks. I don't have anything negative to say about Starbucks. They are a chain, they are expensive, but they have some really great coffee drinks. It is one of my favorite chains ever. They also have mobile order so you can completely skip the registers. Although this is labeled as a reserve it is not quite that. It is a Starbucks that features reserve products. Sort of an in between that will scratch both itches if you can't get to a full reserve. But it is located right in the heart of time square and was really close to our hotel so it was perfect for us! Because of the location it gets busy so there can be a line and a wait to get your fix. Or think ahead and mobile order! The staff here is so friendly despite the huge crowds and grumpy people who didn't learn patience. read more

I'd never been to a Starbucks reserve roastery before, but was very happy with the delicious toffee nut latte I had on the first floor. It was prepared quickly, tasted amazing, and is now my favorite Starbucks order. Plus, it's so cool to be able to grab coffee right inside the Empire State Building! The reason I'm docking two stars from the review is my experience on the second floor cocktail bar and lounge. I arrived there a few hours before meeting my friend for lunch on a weekday, and the place was completely empty, safe for one bartender and a hostess. I asked the bartender if I'd be able to sit down and read for a bit, just with the coffee I'd purchased in the to-go cafe downstairs. He said sure, that I could sit in the rotunda or on one side of a long couch they had. When I went to sit on the couch, the hostess paced around for awhile and then approached me, telling me I couldn't sit there and that the seating area was only for people ordering food. Again, the restaurant was empty, and it was 10:30 on a Monday. I was kind of annoyed, but went to sit down at the rotunda instead. It was just a really snobby and (in my opinion) unnecessary thing to do given how empty the place was, and how the bartender literally told me I could sit down on the couch. The other reason for my 3 star review was how tiny and honestly mislabeled the food portions were. When my friend arrived, I got avocado toast with egg and prosciutto, and the prosciutto looked more like Oscar Mayer bacon. Yes, I understand that it's a Starbucks, but they really should've included a picture or something before charging me $10 for toast!! read more

Truly built for the coffee lover! Fresh roasts from many different countries, each with a unique twist. Pastries as far as the eye can see and a third level bar for a special Expresso Martini! So glad we happened upon this Starbucks while walking around. I had seen a few tik toks about it which made me interested when I saw it. The staff were very friendly, bartender hooked us up with some some good recommendations for drinks to try and bar food. Great ambiance, very upscale and sophisticated feel. We had just eaten before so we only had an appetizer and dessert. Drinks tasted very good, although we're a bit light on the alcohol. The polenta fried were very well seasoned and lightly fried. Wish I were hungrier I would have tried more on the menu since everything leaving the kitchen looked so good! The espresso martini paired very well with the tiramisu. I would recommend my drink, the Sakura Allure. Was very fresh, fruity and light. Would definitely go back if we are ever in NYC sightseeing again! read more

Seriously what's not to love about this place. Been to 2 out of 6 and although it's all the same inside it just makes it feel cooler. Plenty of social media opportunities, food tasty, alcoholic drinks with coffee plentiful and new creations happening daily. Where else can you try coffee mixed with olive oil. Decor has warm and bright at the sane time. I almost expected a jazz ensemble to come out of nowhere. What made this trip special it's there one staff member wearing brim hat who is a poet. Also, you have to get at least one expresso martini. I'm only visiting New York briefly and spent lots of time at this location. I was most surprised by how nice everyone was! One of the many Starbucks stores in Times Square but with a twist - this is a Starbucks Reserve bar offering drinks which you can't find in a regular Starbucks store, it is also really spacious too especially compared to other NYC stores which tend to be rather small with little (if any) seating - located on 1585 Broadway. It is a busy location, obviously due to the location and Starbucks being a popular brand but with queuing in both directions around the counter, they seem to make the long line get served rather quickly - it did take a few minutes for my drink but considering how busy the store was I didn't mind. The layout was a little confusing at first as you do queue in two different directions so I do feel this could be signposted a little better, however, the staff still seemed friendly while speedy and efficient. Due to it being a Reserve location it feels much nicer and more modern than most other locations in NYC - excluding the Roastery in Chelsea. I do feel it needs much more seating however as I did struggle to get a seat, as this is a popular Starbucks. I ordered my regular drink while in the Big Apple - a Venti Iced Caramel Cloud Macchiato, which came to $6.48, obviously US stores are a lot higher than the UK and this can sometimes work out around $1.6 more when converted but I found the pricing for this beverage more reasonable as it is exclusive to the US. I do feel the tables could have been cleaned more regularly and the music like many stores in NYC was again far too loud (Is there a competition for turning Starbucks' stores into a nightclub or something blasting loud music?), but still this is probably one of my favourite central stores in NYC with the added benefit of Reserve facilities (extra drink choices and merch.) 4* read more

Normally I avoid this location, since this is near Time Square, it's crazy busy! The baristas have to deal with a lot of customers (tourists and New Yorkers) so they deserve a lot of credit. We are killing time and hanging out at this Starbucks since the place we need to go is nearby. Apparently, this location have Starbucks Reserve Roastry. What is Reserve Roastry? Starbucks Siphon - this highly visial experience pairs full immersion and vacuum filtration to create a nuanced cup. We literally watch the boiled water move from the bottom to the top mixed with the coffee (Tanzania coffee). Afterwards, the coffee drips back down to the glass on the bottom. Time? If you don't have time, don't order it. It took a good 5-10 minutes for the whole process to complete. It was fascinating to watch the whole process. Picture is a collage for the full effect. Price? It cost more than the typical coffee price. Taste? Tanzania coffee is pretty strong but smells really nice. read more

I've been in this location quite a few times in didn't know it had become a reserve store. I was super excited because usually reserve locations have Slightly elevated menus, with featured items not offered in other stores. Sadly they didn't have oatmilk yet.I did notice they had the new pistachio flavour and topping in stock so I got my old faithful eyes display so with pistachio flavour. It was fantastic. The employees at the store are very accommodating and definitely are the right folks to deal with The Times square crowd. They make Starbucks on good. I will continue to come to this location especially when I'm in the area for a doughnut. read more

OVERALL when I came in the line wasn't long surprisingly. I'm from California so in December it was waaaay too cold for me in New York. One of the best Starbucks locations we've been to especially in New York during our time here. The staff here are so welcoming and friendly. The cashier is such a people person and super attentive. Due to COVID, NY isn't allowing indoor dinning just yet. The cashier was attentive and informed people they were not allowed to stay inside in the most genuine and polite way possible. The service was fairly quick considering there was only one barista making drinks for a flagship store in Times Square. This location is pretty big and spacious for New York. read more

One of my worse experiences at a Starbucks. Ordered my usual Venti Americana with steamed half n half. They tried to give me coffee with milk. When I checked it and I requested a fix, they tried to pour out some coffee to add half n half. Really!?! Are you kidding me!! I demanded a do over. It was done though grudgingly! Probably could use some retraining but a quick fix would be to turn down the music. The music is so loud that they cannot even hear you over the noise. I bet if the the music was turned down to a reasonable volume the customer experience would be much better. I expect this is a spot that gets a lot of tourists so it is even more incumbent to give out of town visitors a proper NYC experience. Come on people you could do better read more

The worst service I ever received. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and the staff kept giving me the run around with finding it. First they didnt even bother to start making it and when I asked they said "it's coming". I asked again and they said they were taking it out of the oven. I had to ask again after waiting for a while and it finally make about 8 minutes later. It should have not taken that long. Then my drink order was wrong. I ordered the most simple thing, ice coffee with milk and sugar. They gave me a black coffee when the sticker clearly had more ordered style. I told them and the barista exchanged it. She gave it back the same time I got my crossaint so I left and didnt get to try the coffee. Turns out it was wrong again because it had no sugar. The restaurant was busy and thats why i wasn't so impatient and rushing them but they took advantage of people patiently waiting and don't care about customers time or getting the orders right. When you are a tourist in New York City you have to do your very best to fit the part and pay an hommage to Starbucks in the epicenter of capitalism, not Wall St, but Times Square. When you are being bombarded by ads right and left and not even sure why you are there in the first you start to wonder what the internet and SATC have done to you. But I digress.
