PRIME came highly recommended from a friend. I received two additional bids from outside sources, but selected PRIME because of the professionalism shown at our initial meeting and also their bid cost relative to the others I interviewed. Jonathan and his crew were very thorough in outlining the entire process, which included removal of 2 existing gravity furnace units (w/ asbestos abatement) and the installation of 2 new Lennox units: 1 split system and 1 package system. (**Two units because the building is a duplex property.) They were very timely and efficient in all stages of the process and allowed me to experience the install first hand....(if I had any curious questions, lol). They took extreme care in placement of both HVAC units, location of all new registers/ductwork, and how the new gas & electric lines were to be ran...(all up to proper building codes). The 16 Seer system in my personal unit is an amazing experience now. It heats and cools my entire 2200 SF space in a matter of minutes! I was so pleased, in fact, that I had PRIME install insulation in the building's attic space - the "blown-in" version. And I can definitely feel the difference in containing the heated/cooled air...not to mention the added "sound-dampening" from outside noises (helicopters, planes, cars). I had a few technicians come to our home to review how best to optimize our 20yr HVAC system and within minutes most were trying to play salesman. Jonathan was right away different. He took his time walking through our whole home while asking questions the other didn't. He also patiently answered my questions and provided feedback with a humble approach that wasn't condescending or rushed. When it came to talk money, he walked us through his suggestions, and didn't attempt to up sell us on anything. His pricing estimates were already great, then to my surprise he even suggested ways to come down on the price based on our actual needs! We hired him and scheduled work with his team that same visit. Before install day, I was doing my own research, and he was very available and accommodating to phone calls where he continued to impress by not rushing through my questions and by sending me information to review, even after normal business hours. Install day went perfectly smooth, with their work being clean and professional. They also went above and beyond by taking care of same day discovered duct leaks and other surprises without a second thought. I got about 5 estimates while looking to replace my whole AC system, and one of them was Prime Heating & Cooling. Jonathan's quote wasn't the cheapest, but it was the overall best bang for the buck in terms of what he was offering. In my search, many companies either offered very cheap units/no name brand units to lower the cost, or don't go the extra mile to get a project done, such as not upgrading the duct work. Jonathan upgraded my system from a underpowered 3 ton system to a much needed 4 ton system. The unit works great now. The process was smooth. It took about a day and a half. After the first day they were nice enough to do a quick clean up, and move everything out of the way. The installation is very clean, and the HERS tester confirmed it was installed well by showing how efficient the system is running. Jonathan was flexible with the payment. He will work with you to find a way which works best for you, and it's nice that he doesn't demand payment until the project is done.
