I went regularly to this nail salon for over a year. I feel they do an average job for a reasonable price. However, it you make an appointment, they make you wait anyway. This is mainly do to the fact that they take walk-ins over your scheduled appointment. Yesterday, I made an appointment and drove there all the way from Dublin only to get there and they tell me I had to wait 45 minutes? For some people this is not an issue but my time is very valuable and I can't wait 45 minutes when I have a scheduled appointment. They simply do not honor their appointments. They need a better system, they don't communicate well with each other and don't write things on an appointment book. read more

Trusty nail place in Fremont. Been going here for years and they do a great job - got a pedicure a few weeks ago and nothing has chipped off! They do a super thorough job. Didn't give this 5 stars because I feel like it can be a bit pricey and they rarely have any specials. They should have coupons once in awhile for loyal customers! read more

Awesome nails, horrible customer service! I went to get a full set and a pedicure. The women who did my toes was really nice and asked me every time she was going to do some thing extra (she also let me know when it would be extra $$ to do it). The woman working on my nails was a different story. I went in there thinking I was going to to spend $20 for a full set and maybe a extra $5 for a french tip. It ended up costing me $40 just for my nails! I wouldn't mind paying for it except the women just added all this extra stuff without even asking me. When it came time to pay I asked her why it was so much and she got irritated and told me "I think you knew how much it was" When I explained that she should have told me that she was going to do extra things for more money before doing them she just rolled her eyes and laughed......B#@%^!!! The nails are beautiful, but I don't want to be surprised with a huge bill at the end, then when I ask why, get attitude. read more

AWFUL!! UNPROFESSIONAL! DIRTY! I went on 5/10 for full pink/white gel set. They were clearly busy (only 2 workers at the time) but because she told me it would only be a 10 minute wait , so I waited. It ended up being a 40 min wait and because of the time, I couldn't go to another nail salon b/c anything else would have probably closed, so I stayed. They did a good job, but the long mis-leaded wait left a bad taste in my mouth. Price was ok, not SUPER cheap as expected. A full pink/white gel set $45, pretty standard anywhere else. So when I had to go back for a fill, I decided to give them another chance. So I tried to do the right thing and make an appointment. My appt was Wed, 6/2 at 12:15pm (during my lunch hour). I make the mini-trek out there and when I showed up, they lady I requested WASN'T EVEN THERE!!! The other salon ladies were trying to call her on her cell but no answer. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!!! You have an appointment book, I see my name in it.... 12:15pm... how can you not be there? So of course, the other ladies in the salon say they can help w/my fill and to wait 10 minutes. Of course you know how that was going to turn out. I gave it a shot, wait for 10min and saw that she was still FILING someone else's nail. She wasn't even putting on a final coat .. but still filing!! So I just GOT UP AND LEFT and went to good old Aloe Vera Luxury Spa Salon in McCarthy Ranch plaza. I walked in there, open space, no wait, much cleaner, same price for a fill, and 100% customer service.... AND THEY DID AN EVEN BETTER JOB!!! I will NEVER GO TO PRIME NAIL AGAIN. Cheap for a reason!!! Not once did I observe any cleaning/sanitizing of instruments or staff washing hands before and after next customer. Staff eating and drinking on the same table where manicures are done. Sloppy, dirty, unkempt... Gave $40 cash for a $25 manicure. Store manager (?) took $5 tip without letting me know as I gave another $5. Total tip: $10 for a poorly done manicure! I walked away before someone got hurt. Here's a hint.... Ugh :( so mad that I went here. First of all my lady was rude. She told me I was picky when I wanted to grab a new color (She hadn't even started painting them yet). Secondly she was very sloppy and lazy when it came to doing my nails. Lastly, when she asked me to pay before she painted them I gave her my card and when I asked her if I could tip on my card she got mad because she already slid my card. The lady asked me way too many personal questions. I always get shellac done and it usually stays on for like 4 weeks, and this one came off in like 3 weeks. Also, during normal manicures the lady is supposed to massage your arm for a few minutes, and she literally did it for like 2 seconds. Terrible service and pretty dirty. Never going back! So I think everyone's experience here really depends on who works on. I've heard some people are great and some people suck here. I've been here a few times, and have always had a decent experience. This is a no frills place. $25 for mani/pedi and a few $$ extra for french. I think my person was Connie and she was great! I even had her wax my eyebrows. No complaints. My french lasted more than a week which was a shocker to me. Down side is they don't have the nicer nail polish brands like Essie or OPI. Bring your own if you like those brands. read more

I've been going here for awhile and it has just gotten better with time. Mai Li is the current owner and since she has taken over this place has gotten even better. I have been going to this salon for nearly 17 years and have always had a pleasant experience. I am always greeted with a big "hi!" and a smile. The prices are reasonable and the place is clean. This is not your fancy pants type of salon, but for the price and the quality job that gets done- I could care less about frills. The hot stone massage with the pedi is so nice and the chairs are comfortable. I often come on my lunch and when I am short on time like this, the ladies always are conscious of getting me out quickly and not smudging the nails. My nails always last and I also have gotten my eyebrows waxed. One stop shop. Works for me. read more

If I could give this place NEGATIVE STARS, I would! And just a disclaimer, yes, my mom USED to be a technician here--not anymore. And here is why. I came here to get a manicure and a pedicure, but was truly disappointed by everything. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to have my own mom do my nails when I arrived as she was working on another client, and I didn't have the time to wait for her either. So when someone else worked on me, I was very disappointed. From the service to the quality... Oh, and get this--they don't even use new, clean tools. They definitely DO NOT use new paraffin wax either! How scary is that?! My mom has been in this industry for over 20 years now, so I know what I'm saying when I say that they are supposed to use new tools on clients such as the nail buffers and the nail filers. I had my feet and hands dipped in the paraffin wax and the very next day, my skin already didn't look right. I told my mom about it and she was also concerned. She had only worked here for no more than a month, so she had no idea who she was working for! She confronted the owner and turns out that the owner saves all the tools that they've used throughout the day, takes them out of the trash bins, cleans them at the end of the night, and reuses them the next day! That's not even the worst part. THEY SAVE ALL THE USED PARAFFIN WAXES, PUTS THEM BACK TO HAVE THEM REMELTED, AND HAVE CLIENTS DIP THEIR HANDS AND FEET IN THEM! In the USED (however many times!) paraffin wax! I can't even begin to tell you how unsanitary and how unhygienic this is. After this horrific experience, my mom quit right away. WARNING my fellow yelpers, DO NOT go here. I am even considering reporting this place to the state board--that's how outrageous I feel about this whole experience! read more

It's cheap. And worst quality I ever got nail service in my life!! And not even clean.. One of workers was very rude and she cut my skin and it was bloody. She just said sorry with no antiseptic!!! Color was even on my skin so I asked here to clean a little and she told me that 'WHY!' Then did nothing. I had a gel manicure done here twice and both times the polish lifted after 7 days! I've later found out why. Some shops weaken or "stretch" their polishes so they end up using less of the pure product while saving money. Why is it always the "bottomline" that drives policies? Why couldn't they just take pride in their product and service instead of "cutting corners?" I was suspicious when the nail stylist went into the back with the color I chose. I've never had my nails done before..I was nervous. But I took the plunge and after reading reviews chose Prime Nails. I am very happy I did. My nails look excellent. They did a wonderful job and were super nice. It wasn't busy when I went at 2pm on Friday...got right in. It was a little more money than I expected, but all in all, worth it! I have never had a bad experience at this place. They do awesome acrylic nails and they are not too thick or wide. They are willing to do any shape or design you want! Just show them a picture and they will provide! They know me by name and i know them by name and they are super friendly and sweet girls. They are also great at eyebrow waxing and pedicures!
