    grandma's pizza add pepperoni
    Erin K.

(more like 3.8 stars) I ordered the Grandma's pizza (add pepperoni). The pizza itself was yummy, I love the cheesy edges. The spots without sauce are a little dry, but the pizza held up well after being delivered! I am disappointed by the amount of pepperoni on the pizza, I paid $4 extra to add pepperoni to the whole pizza, I expected more for the price. Overall, was good and I would like to go back and try their round pizzas.

Incredible pizza. Got a whole white pizza and it was so cheesy and delicious. The pan was quite flat which I liked, but the sauce didn't go all the way to the edge so you end up with a lot of plain bread toward the end, which I got a bit tired of. Still delicious though. Took about 30 minutes from ordering to receiving it, which wasn't bad at all. Gave us time to walk around the neighborhood! Vibes were great. Only outdoor picnic-table seating but it was lively and fun. Parking lot is pretty limited but there's plenty of street parking, so not really an issue.

best, most reliable, pizza chain in the greater LA area. I have never had bad food from them, and i go here nearly every week. their collaborations are also amazing. the restaurant itself is pretty family friendly, with kids running around. everyone who works here is super kind.

I've heard nothing but rave reviews from friends and family about Prime pizza and had to give it a shot. They're mainly known for deep dish but to me the real winner was the regular pie. The bbq pizza was flavorful and I loved the addition of the jalapeños for that extra kick of spice. Their deep dish was okay. I ordered the cheese bc the other option had meats I don't eat and they don't do substitutes for the square pies. Nonetheless, service was great and the pizza was good.

The pizza was BURNT ! The sauce was so-so. The crust wasn't bad. The help was fine. Kind of bright and uncomfortable for sitting. Not much parking. ^^^ Three Carrots

This place was busy and for good reason. Pizza was amazing and loved the outdoor seating.

I think Prime Pizza is the best New York style pizza you can get in the LA area. The pizza is really crispy, and they offer both round and square pies. You can order by the slice or get a whole pizza. My go to slices are the spicy pepperoni, classic cheese, and pepperoni. The hoagie is also very good and worth trying. The parking lot itself is small, but street parking is easy and usually not a far walk. Beyond the food, this location feels very community driven. You can really see it with Pasadena and Altadena merch being sold and the overall neighborhood vibe from the people here. Seating is outdoor only in a patio setup, and they have a big TV outside where they show sports, which adds to the experience. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to.

Good crust, it hangs like a proper NY slice

Seen Prime pop up in all the delivery apps as well as Yelp, but never really thought too much about it cause it looked like any other pizza spot. My favorite is NY-style pizza and I haven't found a good one here... however, Prime is it! They're located up Allen Ave in Altadena and comes with a tiny parking lot. I ordered a pepperoni pie with sausage on half and fresh jalapeños and pineapple on the other. Seriously, I thought it was crazy (bad) too until I tried that combo--it's bomb af with a drizzle of hot honey. The crust was chewy in a good way and still pretty crusty after delivery. I wish burrata was an option but I'll add that myself next time. The slice hung almost exactly like the one I got from Joe's in NY, and say what you want about Joe's, I love it! I'll definitely return for my pizza fix.

Prime Pizza is a very casual and delicious restaurant. The corner it's on is a little wonky but I think it actually adds to the charm. Parking is usually easy for me to find and then you walk past the patio into the establishment. The staff is always very friendly and the service is quick, both to take your order and to receive your heated up slice. Regarding the pizza, the slices are a generous size and the crust is perfectly crisp. I'm vegetarian and they have ample options at the counter, you can also customize pizzas if you want a different combination for a large pizza, I really enjoy the Sicilian because the pesto is so delicious!

OMG - this pizza is amazing! We just found our new favorite pizza place to go to! Honestly, just came to try the butter chicken pizza, as it's trending on TikTok - OH BOY, were we surprised - absolutely love their "pies" (square pizzas), the crust and sides are yummy and crunchy, the bread feels light and airy, like eating focaccia bread. The only negative was that the pizzas were dry, they definitely need more sauce!! Customer service is on point from the moment you walk in, all the guys are ready and willing to take your order! Love that they sell pizza by the slice and that this venue has an outside patio area, where you can sit and enjoy your pizza. Definitely worth a drive, looking forward to coming back!

I was around Altadena and noticed this pizza spot with a steady flow of people coming in and out. I love supporting restaurants that were impacted by the Altadena fire, and this place definitely did not disappoint. We tried the following items: Spicy Pepperoni Pizza - Square-style Sicilian pizza done right. Not overly doughy, just the perfect thickness. The pepperoni had those crispy oil cups that add so much flavor. Rich, filling, and delicious, one slice was enough to fill me up. (4.5/5) Baked Bolognese - Simple but packed with flavor. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the baked top had a nice char that added depth. Comfort food done well. (4.5/5) Chicken Chopped Salad - Loaded with ingredients and very well balanced. Honestly one of the better salads I've had, great flavor and a really good dressing. (5/5) I'm glad this place made it through the 2025 fire because the food is still hitting. It was pretty packed for Sunday lunch, but people ate quickly and moved on, so turnover was fast. Definitely worth a visit. Parking: Small lot on site, may need to wait if it's full.

The food service and ambiance is perfect I was going to go to Prince St but I was passing by Prime. I now found my new favorite pizza when I'm in the area. If you have not tried Prime what are you waiting for go grab a slice Pizza on how pizza should be.

So happy I found this place! As a New Yorker living in LA I'm always searching for good pizza and this was a good alternative. It isn't quite the same as NY but it gets the job done. Slices are pretty pricey but their pie prices are very reasonable. We ended up getting the pie and saved half for leftovers. Great move because it tasted even better reheated on a pan - gets super crispy. The square slice wasn't for me but my partner enjoyed it. A little on the dry side for my taste. They forgot to give us the square slice until we asked about it but they seem to have takeout down to a T. Everyone was very nice!

Not only do we have to chaperone the visiting friends to tourist hot spots that we generally avoid in everyday life; but even the restaurants we choose as dining options need to be positioned on a perfect pedestal that impresses but is still comfortable. A very close friend of mine from Nashville visits the City of Angels once a year; and I always feel the stress to impress in regards to dining. In 2026, we decided on a more casual dinner than our usual upscale entertainments and opted for Pasadena. Of course, I turned to Yelp and that is how I discovered Café Santorini. Café Santorini has been a favorite dining option in the Old Pasadena neighborhood of Pasadena since 1993 on the intersection of West Union and De Lacey (a block from Colorado Blvd) nestled in one of the famous historic red-brick buildings with alley alcoves that makes Old Pasadena so beloved. Café Santorini encapsulates European love that is as warm as its bricks uniting the culinary richness of Italy, Greece and Morocco in semi-upscale/trendy real estate with iron railings, high ceilings, exposed brickwork, duct beams and glossy wood surfaces that is both inviting and will absolutely entice tourists and residents, alike. Whether seeking indoor dining bar-adjacent with tables or booths or the lovely outdoor second-floor patio alcove overlooking the plant-filled alleys below; Café Santorini is quite pleasant on the eyes. My Nashville-based friend and I made a reservation for an early dinner at 4pm on a Saturday and Café Santorini was already filled to the gills and bustling with activity (granted, there was a Guns n Roses concert at the nearby Rose Bowl in the evening). Opting to sit outdoors due to the loud volume in the dining room; we had a perfect ratio of casual and date-worthy. Café Santorini is seamless with its 'vibe'. To begin the evening, we opted for some cocktails with a Smoke and Citrus Paloma (grapefruit and lime juice, smoked sea salt agave syrup and soda water, alcohol free at $12 but I made it alcoholic with mezcal) for me while my friend ordered a traditional margarita on the rocks (no salt) as we gazed the menu and also decided on sharing a Grape Leaves appetizer (rice, herbs, tomato paste - $16). If you are Celiac like myself and need gluten-free options, Café Santorini is AMAZING in its GF options (also dairy free and vegan dishes) with more choices than usual competitor restaurants which that alone makes it stand out from the crowd. Our drinks arrived in classy and colorful derivations with my paloma holding a seducing orange hue akin to a setting California sun with dried rosemary and dried fruit with the margarita being perfectly yellow-ish green with a dried lime. My paloma was delicious with an ideal combination of sweet to alcohol and smoke with the margarita being refreshing and tangy. I am quite picky with grape leaves having friends from the Middle East living in the US but Café Santorini's grape leaves (5 pieces) are delicious both in texture and flavor without being too bitter which is sometimes the case. For dinner I chose the Branzino (Grilled Mediterranean sea bass, lemon Greek potatoes, dill, capers- $42) while my friend wasn't super famished and decided on Greek Salad Horiatiki (Valdivia Farms tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, Anaheim peppers, red onions, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, lemon juice - $17). One of my favorite details of Café Santorini is their capacity to present elegant dishes that are still simple and not pretentious on plateware that encompasses Greece itself with colorful mosaic prints and painted motifs. The ingredients are fresh, colorful and artfully displayed. My Branzino was faultless: grilled perfectly with charred grill marks and crispy skin (large filet) with capers and fresh dill with fingerling potatoes based under the fish soaking up the lemon juices. Delightful! The Greek Salad Horiatiki allowed the garden-fresh veggies to truly shine even with the lemon juice/oil and large piece of feta making it a perfect summer option. Service at Café Santorini is friendly and a family-like atmosphere with every staff member acknowledging you as you saunter by, answering all questions and constantly smiling. Café Santorini is an overall pleasant joy of an experience. Whether you need to impress out-of-state friends or simply seeking Mediterranean fare in Old Pasadena; Café Santorini is a musty-try for a casual meets elegance dining experience.

We had one anomaly on one plate, and the staff and manager quickly fixed. The restaurant has plenty of seats with a visible kitchen, and a full bar. They did a great job to keep waters topped and drinks coming if we want it.

And a personal breakthrough: I used to schlep all the way to Larchmont Cheese & Wine or Bay Cities before beach days for a proper sandwich. Not anymore. I have sandwich geniuses living right down the street. The bread? Exceptional. The cheeses? Dangerous. The meats? I may never recover. And then there's the lemon Italian ice. My daughter and I have been here three times in the last week, shamelessly returning like two neighborhood raccoons with excellent taste. It is the perfect antidote to a scorching Altadena afternoon. This place is an absolute gem. Go for the pasta, stay for the sandwich, leave with three things you didn't know you needed and a strong desire to become Italian.

Service was great and the girl at the counter was lovely but the price of everything was way too steep and it didn't deliver at all. We ordered the mortadella and the artichoke. We didn't even finish our sandwiches. Ended up going to a different restaurant for food.

I had the sangria and my girlfriend tried the mojito passion. Both drinks are refreshing. For appetizers, I tried the mussels with corn and onions. It's good. For entree, I tried the Lomo Saltado. The sautee beef has onions and tomatoes. The flavor is good and goes well with the rice. Dessert is not included in the Dine LA menu, but we wanted to try a Peruvian ice cream. The Lucum ice cream tastes good, it's buttery and has caramel and maple syrup flavor. It's a special Peruvian fruit. It's a good wrap for our dinner. We will like to come back to try more dishes.

We understand restaurants get busy, but acknowledging your guests is the bare minimum. Unfortunately, we never even got the chance to try the food.
