Not much parking and it's in a weird corner spot that's tricky to traverse since it's at an intersection. So proceed with caution. Anyway, this place has a really good vibe. Spacious outdoor, covered seating that's clean and well-maintained. Great spot for family and friends to eat and hang out. No fountain drinks, however, just bottles and cans. Onto the food. These are your thin-crust pizzas, nothing deep dish here and nothing way too fancy. Ordered the following slices: - Pepperoni - 7.3/10: Solid AF. Nice balance of cheese to sauce. Felt a little cheated with the Pepperoni, though, but the flavors are nice. - White - 7/10: Not as good as the Pepperoni, but still a solid slice. Not too oily or salty. Nice blend of cheeses. Crust is nice and crispy, but nothing too special about it to be honest. Lacked a bit of texture. Prices aren't too bad at all. It's not the greatest by far, but the appeal for me is that you can order by the slice and it's a nice environment to bring family and friends. Ordered and paid for our pizza online with a pick-up time of 5:10PM. It's 5:40PM and they've given out tons of pizzas to at least 13 other customers who arrived after us. We have ordered from here a few times, but more recently, I have been suggesting other places that I like more. Recently, we needed to get food a group that included a gluten free guest who said they liked Prime Pizza's GF pizza, so it's nice to know there are options for those who need it. For me their pizza lacks the texture I want in a good pizza crust. The crust is thin, but lacks chewiness or very much flavor. We also once tried the square pies, which were also decent but lackluster. I do love that they have online orders and each time I arrived on time, the food was ready and waiting for me. The last visit, parking was a little difficult because the spaces were filled. I feel like they need more spaces reserved for just pickup, but I was able to find street parking. read more

We loved Prime Pizza!!! We went a little crazy and got 5 flavors -- the Grandma, the Sicilian, the Spicy Pepperoni, the Vodka, and the BBQ Chicken. All of them were AMAZING, the square ones have an addicting crust and the ratios are perfect. My favorites were the sicilian, the vodka, and the spicy pepperoni. The restaurants in Altadena have been getting a lot of news coverage due to the fire destruction and road closures making them inaccessible. Well on a Sunday night the pizza shop was busy. We picked out three different slices and a coke which cost me 18 bucks. I'm a pizza snob and I can tell you these slices were delicious and the pizza dough is first rate with that perfect crunch. They survived the Eaton fire and are reopened!!!!id been meaning to try this place out. We came at lunchtime on Super Bowl Sunday. Got a pepperoni pizza for two adults and a child. Sizebis great for the price. Pepperoni was not too spicy and the crust was great. We sat on the beautiful patio and enjoyed the amazing SoCal weather. They have a small parking lot that was a little tricky to navigate but we managed to find a spot. Price was good for the quality. I was really happy they had another location closer to me for delivery in Pasadena, but there has definitely been a quality change in the past couple of months. Before, the pizzas had a crusty, thin bottom. Now, it's a soggy, doughy mess. The crust tastes under-cooked and a chore to gnaw on - I have to pre-heat my own oven now to finish cooking the dough through to be enjoyable. I'm not sure if they have new cooks compared to the higher quality I've expected for the past 2 years, but this is my third order in two months that has disappointed me enough to look into other alternatives. I have tried this neighborhood location in Altadena. I have a dozen times now and I can tell you, there is consistency in their pies. I prefer the whole round pie with a crispy thin crust.I also really like the sauce, the cheese and the dough. You can taste the ingredients are high-quality. Came here on a weeknight. Place was packed. Parking was difficult. But it was all so worth it. Their best is their pepperoni square pizza. The dough is like an airy foccacia. The sauce is memorable. Pepperoni's were tasty and abundant. - The only improvement would be to serve it at a warmer temp - Mine was given to me slightly warmer than room temp Had a taste of another type of pizza. I've been eating prime for a very long time and wow this location truly lives up to the lag. No one cares who you are where you come from and why you are here but the pies are the best in the 10 mile region....extremely unfair and very unprofessional if ask me. But that's their angle, anyway to get you in. Not even a free soda to compensate for the time wasted. Extreme low blow for those who work all day and have an early return and still have to wait an extra 20-30 minutes. To top it off try addressing this to management, I'm talking about ZERO REMORSE. ZERO. What's up with that? I use to own a pop up and if something was a few minutes out my projection time I'd be giving out free fries or sodas (which it rarely ever happened). Now let's talk about dining with just their slices....DRY....anything reheated consider it DRY. Virtually no sauce. Come on guys. What's with all these red flags, even last week I walked in there was a fly hovering around almost every pizza and when brought up to the manager the fly flew into the kitchen and he brings up to me "I don't see a fly" WELL I DID, and so did the other customers standing next to me gossiping about why not one employee was shooing it away. This is careless behavior. Many errors in my book although it's a decent pie (when fresh), service needs revamping. This prime pizza location needs lots of improvement. Prime Pizza is the place that started it all for me. I've been to all the Prime locations, except Fairfax. Unfortunately, I have had really inconsistent experiences with Prime lately, particularly from their Little Tokyo spot. These experiences compounded, and eventually soured my perception of their brand. They recently had a promotion, which enticed me to finally try their new Altadena location. Upon arrival, I could not help but smirk. It instantly reminded me of the Burbank location (can't believe I drove all the way to Burbank for Prime Pizza back in the day lmaooooo). Horny CRE agents can start spamming Prime now 'cause it seems they have a type: medium traffic oddball intersection with an afterthought of a parking lot. I wonder how often the parking layout changed with each City Planner. Lol. The staff were all very courteous and competent. Even so, I was so ready to be disappointed when I got home. But with one bite, the nostalgia instantly took me back to 2017 when I first had Prime Pizza. Damn, Prime Pizza still got it. They really still got it even with all the new competition. Great chew, great sourdough kick. The drive was quite pleasant as well. My road rage did not activate. I might even order regular sauce next time instead of light sauce as regular sauce + road rage = soggy pizza. Squares are still where it's at. Imo, rounds here are a waste of time. read more

Definitely one of the best pizza spots in the SGV! My favorite are their square slices, especially the Sicilian. We also got the meatball sub, and it was delicious! The sub's toast was super light but crunchy at the same time, and had the perfect ratio of mozzarella to meatball. Their pizza slices are the closest I've tasted to classic New York style slice, as they are able to balance the flavor of the slice with the texture of the bread really well, while keeping the thin crust. I finally got to try this new and acclaimed pizza spot, and it lived up to the hype. Stopped for a quick lunch, and love that they do pizza by the slice. I got the 2 slices & a drink, and my husband got the meatball sub. The bread on the sub was delicious and lots of meatballs but could definitely use more cheese. He could only eat half! I got a triangle slice of cheese, and it was delicious. Perfectly crunchy. The square slice was amazing! Loved that crust, and the crunchy cheese on the edge. I also liked the descriptions of the slices at the location. They weren't available on the online menu. I took photos of most of them, for you to see. The fresh brewed ice tea was also delicious. We sat outside, and it was very pleasant. As soon as our order was ready, they brought it outside to us. Also, it was after the lunch rush on a weekday so parking and seating were no problem. Trying to really like this place and each time they continue to disappoint. They had a school fundraiser for my daughter's school and election night promotion this past Tuesday‍ the line was super crazy and ordered online to help speed the process, which gave me a 45 minute estimated time. By the time the 45 mins came and passed I went to the pickup line, waited another 15 mins, which was understood with the not so great idea to have 2 different promotions on the same night, and I was informed there was no more pizza. After another 10 -20 minute wait. ‍ The staff were struggling to keep up with orders and the lack of communication from the manager / staff was very inadequate at best. The Team wasn't remorseful and they were not handling the pressure of all the orders. I ordered a bunch of things (pizza, wings, knots, salad) totaling $107 because it's fundraiser for the kids. I was informed that they took the pizza off my charge and wasn't given a new receipt. They said they would take care of it in the "next couple of days", which is understood because of the jam packed craziness. I came back today (3 days later) to check on the status and spoke to the manager. It wasn't busy and seemed like it would be a good time talking to him. I explained to the manager the situation in a polite and respectful way, and he was already posturing and in a very stand-off tone. There was no acknowledgement and no service recovery about the situation Tuesday. I wanted to ensure I wasn't charged for the pizza since I didn't have anything on my end for the "credit" and he printed out the receipt after showing him my email receipt. On my end, I still remember seeing my card charged for the full payment of $107. Not much dialogue on his end and there was a golden opportunity to acknowledge the double promo blunder. I mentioned it and said it would be best to not do two promos on the same day again. He basically said it's not. ‍ I stood there in an awkward silence just waiting for any acknowledgment. I wasn't expecting any freebies and wanted to ensure the school fundraiser got full credit. The pizza is decent, the wings are ok, salad average, garlic knots , service is . We usually have a few functions at Prime because it's so close to the school. I'm really trying but truthfully turned off due to no acknowledgement of the crazy wait time and will need to take a long break from this place. I actually ended up ordering Prince Pizza in Old town that night to replace the no Pizza at Prime. Will come back but definitely not anytime soon. Let's do better Prime and get that service to a Prime level vs subprime lately. read more
