There are different types of pizza restaurants and this one is more a very casual quick bite to eat type. There is not a lot of places to eat except for a couple of tables out side. Customer service was good. The workers were very polite and were good at dealing with the busy moment they were having when I came in the evening. The pizza itself is good. The sauce is a little on the sweeter side and has average amount of flavor. The crust and cheese all went well and as a whole you can tell they are using quality ingredients. I have had a decent amount of New York style pizza and this is decent. While it is not my top choice, I also wouldn't deny a piece if someone offered me some. This was honestly one of the worst ordering experiences I've had. I placed an online order at 4:45pm and set the pickup time for 6:30pm. That time came and went. Then another hour passed. In total, I waited over two hours and only received half my order after you guys said I wouldn't be getting my second pizza. No call. No update. Nothing. What's unacceptable is that they kept taking online orders the entire time while they were clearly drowning and hadn't even fulfilled earlier orders. If you're that backed up, shut off online ordering. Don't keep stacking orders you can't handle and leave customers sitting around wondering what's going on. Multiple pick up orders for later times were being handed out when earlier orders weren't even fulfilled. Being busy is not an excuse for poor management. This wasn't a small delay -- this was complete operational failure. The staff offered no transparency and no real accountability. If you can't fulfill orders in a reasonable timeframe, stop taking them. I won't be ordering from here again. read more

Since seating there is limited, I told them not to heat them and I took them to go. 5 min in the toaster oven, on 350 degrees, and I was reliving my youth. It was everything I hoped it would be. We ordered two pizzas here for the Super Bowl yesterday, and I honestly can't emphasize enough how disappointing the entire experience was. We got an 18" supreme and a vegan gluten-free pizza. What immediately stood out was that both were equally expensive--about $30 each--even though the vegan pizza is much smaller. Not great, but the game had already started and we needed food, so we went with it. The website already showed delays for our selected delivery time, so we had to push it later and ended up waiting over an hour. We also called to make sure Parmesan and pepper flakes would be included since we forgot to request them online, and they said yes. When the delivery finally arrived, the "supreme" had no meat at all--just a plain pie with a few mushrooms and onions and barely any cheese. We were shocked. Also there were no Parmesan or pepper flakes. We called, and to their credit, they agreed to remake and redeliver within 45 minutes. I appreciated that they believed us, but it still meant waiting nearly another hour while the game was already halfway over--so we ended up eating the wrong, flavorless pizza just to have something. When the replacement supreme finally showed up, it was at least made correctly--but still disappointing. The toppings were extremely sparse for a $30 pizza, and they didn't even reach the edges, leaving what felt like more than half the pie was plain dough. The thin crust wasn't crispy, and the slices drooped so much they were hard to eat. I actually had to put it in the air fryer just to make it somewhat decent. Honestly, Pizza Hut or Roundtable would've been better. Overall, this was an expensive, frustrating experience with very underwhelming food - definitely not what you want on Super Bowl night. read more

We stopped by on a Wednesday night, wanted to try a new local pizza place. We were impressed, and we are pretty going when it comes to food. We for a slice of cheese, one white slice and BBQ slice. Came here on Sunday around 6:15pm. I'll tell you this is peak hour of busy. You've got people lined up to order, and people waiting on delivery. The order line moved, so it's not like you're stuck waiting to order. They ran out of pepperoni sliced pizza as one person purchased all the slices (smart move?). We ordered four pizza single sliced and the wings to dine in, and wanted to take the pie home. There was a miscommunication on the order with the wings to be sent home, however one of the girls was quick to address it, and bring it out to us. I must confess I had high expectations for this place, but was very disappointed! The dough was so hard and difficult to chew. Trying to cut the pizza with a knife was like cutting cardboard. The dough was hard to process: the bottom layer was hard and the top layer was chewie like gum. The sauce was too salty and hardly any cheese. The white pie that looked so good on the picture was bland and tasteless and with the same weird dough, who was also pretty burned on the edges and bottom. We got the family deal and the salad came in a tiny container, barely enough for one person. Definitely not good value for the money. We tried, and didn't like it. The Sicilian was the best we tried by far. Then they didn't include the white slice we ordered. Bummer. The last visit we ordered a white pie with sausage which was disappointing. The ricotta was almost flavorless, but the sausage was quality. The Sicilian was just OK this time, basically just a slice of focaccia. Given the price points here, there is a lot left to be desired in terms of flavor and ingredients. We haven't been to other Prime locations and this was highly recommended by friends. I was exited to hear a New York Style pizza was opening in Brea. Finally got to try it and it was pretty good. Nice thin crust, light sauce with a just the right amount of cheese. I got the Lunch Special of 2 cheese slices and a drink - $10 + tax. It's cheaper than Szbarro's Pizza for 2 slices and a drink ($14.95 + tax). Slices are a bit smaller but it still hit the spot! I've only had the cheese pizza here so my review is only on the cheese pizza. I'd say it's good. Has good flavor with a good crust. I wasn't blown away but overall it's a pretty good tasting pizza. I definitely feel reheating the pizza after sitting for a while affects both the taste and texture. You don't get that ooey-gooey cheese melt or pull and the crust ends up pretty chewy. If I ever get to try a cheese pizza fresh out of the oven, I'll gladly update my review. Service is walk-up counter ordering then wait for your order. I've been a few times now and each time I chose take out so I just sit on one of two benches and wait. If you're dining there, staff will bring your food out to you. Store front is a bit smaller but functional for ordering. There is a glass casing filled with a variety of pizza's on display. Overall, if you're in the mood for New York Style thin crust pizza and you're in or around Downtown Brea, Prime Pizza is a good spot. read more

Saw a post on IG about this new pizza place that opened up in Brea and wanted to come try it. My family and I came here right when they opened at 11am on a Saturday morning and decided to try their Meat Lovers Square Pizza Pie. It was about $32 and had 8 slices. It was pretty good. Pretty filling as well! Flavor was good. We also got a side of their Meatballs that came with 4 pcs and 2 garlic knots, and the Churro Knots (6 pcs). We enjoyed everything we ordered. I only wish they had seating inside. They have a good amount of outdoor seating, but the day we went was super windy so we couldn't really enjoy our food there. Not sure if they even have any restrooms on site so be mindful of that when you come. Our order came out pretty fast...waited about 20-25 minutes. Overall, we enjoyed everything we got and would love to come back here again and try other flavors out. read more

We love Prime pizza as our favorite NY style and had tried Burbank, Hollywood, and DTLA locations. We were waiting for Brea to open for months and were so excited to have one closer to us in the OC. Tried it 3 different times, and it was good, but for some reason it just doesn't hit the same as the other locations. My husband thinks the sauce isn't as tasty/spiced. It's good, but not mind-blowingly delicious like the other locations. Wish it was a consistent experience across the board. I'm not sure how ai heard about Prime pizza in Brea, but I am so glad I did. Another reviewer mentions the crisp crust and tangy sauce and ai have to agree! The slices are big, and perfectly foldable for the quintessential NY fold. I ordered two slices (the pepperoni and a white sauce slice) and an Arnold Palmer since I was dining by myself. The pizza is so good! It's definitely NY style. An unexpected delight was the Arnold Palmer - Fresh and made "in house" I think. At least it tasted that way to me. It absolutely hit the spot. Ordering was pretty easy. The staff was so nice. It was kind of the staff to bring my pizza all the way over to the seating area outside so I didn't have to walk back. I did expect there to be some inside seating, but it's all good. Not every pizza place has that. I was glad there was some seating outside. I think next time I will order ahead to take home. Well there are some really good things going on at prime pizza. They have slices ready that seem fresh enough with a variety of toppings and crust styles to choose from. The service was a five star the people and the counter were very friendly and courteous. I loved the service. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was because the pizza was good but didn't really leave me thinking about coming back. I liked it it just wasn't my favorite. I ate the new York style cupped pepperoni pizza and also the Sicilian pizza. The new York was great I ate all that but I didn't really like the Sicilian that much. I only ate a couple of bites of that. I just liked the pepperoni better. Anyways looking at everything overall i would definitely come in to see what you think. I'll probably be back to try something else. They have a lot of flavors available for slices so I think that's enticing. I ate it at a nearby picnic table and after 5 bites had to throw away bc it was cold. As a vegetarian, I really wanted to like the veggie pizza, but I realized maybe kale isn't meant to go on pizza LOL also the mushrooms were a bit too chunky, I wish they were smaller.
