    Pizza

Finally got to check out Prime Pizza located in Brea, which is a New York-style pizza shop. We ordered the thicker cuts of pizza which were a square-style pizza and I got the Grandma's style. This is just pretty much mozzarella, sauce, and cheese. Which is simple but tasty! I love the crispiness of the pizza and the jalapeño ranch with it together was great. I don't eat pork so this was one of the styles that I could eat. Overall I thought the flavor and style were pretty nice. Maybe next time I will try their New York slices!

Don't do take out! The pizza gets extremely soggy to the point where it rips when you pick it up. But if you choose to eat there, seating is limited to 2 tables, 4 chairs each. There's a center courtyard with more in-n-out style outdoor tables but shade is limited depending on the where the sun's positioned. Pick up experience was long. I was told it'll take 25 min after ordering but it took 40min.

I've ordered from this place multiple times, and to be honest, this is my favorite pizza place. Everything here is delicious, but my favorite is the vodka chicken pizza. Their sauces are flavorful, and their toppings are always fresh, high-quality, and delicious. They have both regular ranch and jalapeño ranch, but the jalapeño ranch is the one I go with. It has a nice kick and goes really well with the pizza.

First time trying Prime Pizza out as it was recommended by a friend and seeing reviews it seemed very worthwhile to try. This location is a bit small, there is no indoor seating, only outdoor seating available. However, when you walk in, you can tell that this place is serious about pizza. You have several trays of pizza by the slice right in your face the moment you walk in. You have New York Style slices and square slices to pick from immediately that they will reheat in the over for you. Or you can order a full pie from the get go. We opted to get three slices: BBQ Chicken, White, and Vodka. Of the three, BBQ chicken was my favorite - the most flavor and the most feeling of a bang for your buck. The Vodka was also good. The white was okay (I probably wouldn't get this one again). The workers here were great they. Super helpful and talkative. They shared a lot, like the fact that the crust is actually sourdough. Definitely worth a quick visit if you want Pizza.

Excellent Pizza place in Brea. I'd been meaning to try Prime Pizza for quite some time and it was worth the wait! Really good pizza and garlic knots! I ordered take out and the turnaround was very quick and the pozza was still hot when I got it home. Definite thumbs up for Prime Pizza!

Four adults decide to try Prime pizza at Brea. The pizza shop is small, New York style, and welcoming. Basically all of us pick lunch special, but upgrading to pizza of our choice. For example, I have one Sicilian pizza for under a dollar more. Pizzas are thin, crispy and yummy. However one of my slice is kind of burned. Service is friendly as you can choose to order to go or wait outside and they bring the pizzas to you - which we did. It's a good pizza parlor if you are looking for good thin New York style pizza.

We arrived on a Friday night and there was a line, but it moved fast. Ordered pizza slices of: -Vodka (5/5) -White (5/5) -Cheese (4/5) -Sicilian square (4/5) All the slices had a crispy undercarriage with no flop. Ingredients were high quality. Favorite was the white pizza!! It's now one of my top 3 favorite white pizzas. Good amount of sauce & cheese because places usually skimp out on it which makes the slice dry. Also got the Caesar salad (5/5). Crisp, fresh greens, a good portion for 2 to share, and a yummy caesar dressing to drizzle. Love the late night vibe this place brings because customers are all sitting outside since there's no seating inside. Just wish the surrounding buildings in this lot had some night life or other eateries!! Maybe one day..

Was craving pizza for lunch so decided to give Prime Pizza a try. The store is nice, new and beautiful and they offer a lunch special - which I thought was a win, win. But reality is you get over cooked pizza. For starters, the store wasn't crowded, but people were waiting because one person needed to sign in and the other guy standing around said he can't clock in yet so can't take my order. I honestly don't get why he was standing by an iPad to take orders if that was the case. Someone else ended up taking my order and before I could make a receipt selection the kid who told me he couldn't take my order starts clocking in takes over the screen so I can't get a receipt or register for an account. He later had to go back to my transaction so I could get both. Now the pizza.. just my luck the kid standing around ends up reheating the pizza slices I ordered. But instead of reheating pizzas in sequence the orders came in, he took the order after mine and reheated their pizza first. The only problem is I didn't want a corner slice, but the person who ordered after me got the middle slice, so I was told my only option was a corner. When I got home to eat my pizza, I was super disappointed. If you look at the picture, you can tell my pizza was way over baked. It wasn't exactly warm either. I tasted burnt bits and this maybe my worst pizza experience ever. There's a place in Costa Mesa called Sugo that has a similar concept, but they've mastered their process and their pizza is amazing! Prime Pizza can probably learn something from a place like that because what I ordered was a super disappointment. The normal round cut was overcooked and dry - and the square pizza - it was overcooked on the sides, but the middle wasn't so bad.

Apparently everyone knows about Prime Pizza except me lol. This new location is close to home, and we were in a pizza kinda mood, so I decided to check it out. Inside it's small, and it's more of a take out or order ahead type of place. There are a few tables and chairs outside if you do wanna eat there. I ordered ahead and had to wait a few minutes which was fine with me. However, their line and pick up system is a little chaotic and they had people coming in and heading straight to the counter for pick ups while the rest of us were waiting in line. Customer service was friendly overall. The pizza itself is good, but honestly it isn't going to replace my go to spot in La Habra (Blackjack). It's a bit greasy and didn't really pack a flavor punch.

No organized line and it took forever.
    John M.

Waited 2 hours and the line devolved into complete chaos. I only got my pizza just as I was asking for a refund. I didn't trust they would process it, the haphazard way they were calling out orders randomly and holding a bunch of orders in the back. No organization. You can't do this to pizza. New York slices has to be fast. They also should have started handing out freebies or coupons. It was a real waste of a Friday night when you're trying to get something quick.

I've had a lot of pizza in my lifetime but this was my first time having NY style. When I saw that Prime Pizza was opening up near me, I was excited to try it out. After reading the majority of the reviews, I had high expectations even though it's so early on. Here's what I ordered: **Pepperoni Pie: Amazing! Loved how crispy thin the pie was and the crust was even better! Definitely my favorite style of pizza, hands down. (5/5) **Garlic Knots: Absolutely delicious! This container was oozing with that delicious garlic flavor that everybody loves. The bread was so moist and was bursting with flavor. Good by itself but even better with the cup of marinara sauce provided. (5/5) For context, this spot opens at 11 AM. I placed an online order at 10:57 AM to pickup at 11:30 AM. I then received a text telling me that my order was ready at 11:23 AM! Once I entered, I gave them my name and my order was brought out instantly! The place was packed when I arrived, which is already a great sign. Everyone working the front seemed to be up to par with the business model and there were smiles everywhere. There are plenty of decent pizza spots out here in the Fullerton/Brea area but Prime Pizza takes over the top spot. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had in 34 years of living. This will be my new go-to spot and I'm super excited to have my next pizza experience from here again very soon!

So here is my take on the new pizza shop in Brea...Prime Pizza delivers a classic New York-style experience, especially when the pizza is fresh out of the oven. The thin, crispy crust is perfect, and the slices are impressively large. They also have proper ovens for reheating slices, which is a big plus if you're grabbing pizza by the slice. I had a pepperoni slice and we also ordered a full pepperoni pie. Both were quite good when warm. Once the pepperoni pizza cooled down, though, the cheese became a little plastic-like and lost some of its flavor. They're also fairly frugal with the pepperoni, which ends up putting the spotlight onto the cheese. Overall it was a good experience. I enjoy my New York-style pizza, but I probably won't drive 15 miles just to grab a slice. Service was faster than they quoted. The space inside is standing only. Not much space to order really. The surprise standout was the garlic knots--they were really tasty, and honestly, I would drive a bit out of my way for those alone. All in all: decent pizza, great garlic knots, good stop if you're nearby--but not quite my pizza.

    Pepperoni ($28)
    Amy P.

So far, I'm impressed with what Prime Pizza has to offer. Ordered the Pepperoni ($28) and the online ordering process was quick and seamless, with the pizza ready right on time. There's only one size available for whole pies, which actually makes ordering easier. I opted for the double-cut slices. The tomato sauce is a bit tangier than your average pizza, so that'll come down to personal preference. The crust is thin with a great crisp - it even held up well even after the trip home and sitting for a bit before eating. Will need to come back to try the square slices next time!

Our server Brian was exceptional from the get-go. Attentive, personable, and genuinely accommodating. He's the kind of server that really enhances the whole dining experience. As for the food, we went with the sautéed mushrooms to start, which were buttery, satiating and just done right. Then, came the Shrimp Scampi & Scallops in pink sauce (which was highly recommended by Brian), and honestly, that dish alone is worth the drive to this establishment. The pink sauce had this beautiful balance between the creaminess and the tanginess of marinara, in addition to the shrimp and scallops that were cooked perfectly, without a rubbery texture. Please try the pink sauce. We also ordered the Veal Parmesan, which had a bit of the crispy ends (as the veal was very thin), but still had the factors of a well-cooked dish. Everything definitely tasted like it was made with care, not hastily (even though we got there pretty late). It is also located within a plaza, so parking is plentiful. So, if you're looking for solid, honest Italian food in the area, Fratellino's is the answer. I can't wait to go back to try the other dishes. A++

This is a tough review to write because it appears to be a family-run business, but hopefully the criticism is taken constructively. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt unwelcoming. There didn't seem to be a host or anyone greeting customers. We stood there somewhat aimlessly while employees behind the counter looked over at us without really acknowledging us or explaining where to go. One particularly strange thing we noticed was customers being turned away at the door and told there would be a wait, despite several tables appearing to be open. Then, about five minutes later, another couple walked in and was seated without any issue. Maybe there was an explanation for it, but from a customer's perspective, it was confusing and came across as very inconsistent. Unfortunately, the meal didn't improve things. The food was very bland and lacked the flavor I would expect from a good Italian restaurant. The bread we received tasted stale and was noticeably burnt. For comparison, I would honestly put the overall food quality below what you would expect from Olive Garden. Table service was almost nonexistent. Getting assistance throughout the meal was difficult, and even trying to pay the bill and leave felt like a journey. What concerned me even more was seeing several other customers spoken to in a way that came across as unnecessarily rude. I really wanted to understand why this place has such strong reviews, but based on our experience, I simply can't recommend it. Better hospitality, more consistent treatment of customers, more attentive service, and improvements to the food would go a long way.

Everything tasted like it came straight from your grandmother's kitchen in the old country. The cheese pizza is hands down the best I've had in SoCal. Simple, perfectly done, and exactly what a great cheese pizza should be. The salty white clam pizza was incredible, rich, perfectly salted, and packed with flavor without being overpowering or overdone. Every bite was on point. The baked ziti tasted like a legit family recipe. Deep, comforting flavors and seriously nostalgic. You can tell there's history behind the food here. This instantly became one of our favorite spots. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. We started asking about the history of the place, and they gave us the full rundown, which made the experience even better. A little taste of Italy right here in Fullerton. We'll definitely be back. .

Just the sound of appliances going. We got the meat ravioli, the bolognese gnocchi and the meatballs. The food was exactly what we ordered. Just food. You aren't missing anything and I can't explain it well enough. It's just what it is. Italian food. It filled us up, which is what food is suppose to do. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you aren't missing anything by not trying this place. We ate it but felt nothing afterwards. If you want good Italian food with unique recipes, look elsewhere. Otherwise, you get what you get here. Just generic Italian food, nothing special. The cook/chef guy looked like he knew what he was doing but I really wanted to try something that he would cook. It felt like he was forced to cook exactly how the owners want it. Generic bland Italian food. Overall if you and your loved ones are craving Italian, I'd look elsewhere. Olive Garden provides far better food and atmosphere.

It was the most private and intimate date we ever experienced. It was so thoughtful and sweet of them to still take us as guests. They did not rush us and was so attentive and friendly throughout the entire experience - seriously unmatched service The chef making the pasta table side said we came at the perfect time because it does get extremely busy The appetizers, main course and dessert were all a hit. Everything so flavorful and hit all the right taste buds. We are coming back to try the mozzarella sticks and pizza with our kids Probably one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had both on service and food taste

There is plenty of parking in their lot or on the street. We ended up talking a lot and our poor server came back often to see if we were ready for drinks or appetizers. Thank you for your patience. We ended up splitting a bottle of wine and ordered the caprese. The caprese was so fresh and even had pesto in the middle. It was a great start to dinner. We were even given rolls with butter as well. We actually chose this place because they have a cheese wheel and no one ended up ordering that. They also were very attentive and refilled our water without us asking. I got the rigatoni a las vodka with chicken, and my two other friends got the baked rigatoni and the fettuccine Alfredo. Our dishes were delicious and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered the chocolate Gelato and tiramasu for dessert. Those were a perfect night cap to our dinner and catch up session. The restaurant is deceptively big and had a whole back area, I am guessing for large parties. It was very clean and we were able to catch up without any issues. I definitely recommend coming here for the food and excellent service.

10/10 -- Absolutely Flawless Service!…read more This was our first time at Buca di Beppo, and I honestly walked out speechless at the level of customer service we received. I came in with my mom and sister, and Alvetta was absolutely incredible -- truly one of the best servers I have ever had anywhere. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcomed and genuinely taken care of. Her attention to detail, attitude, professionalism, and hospitality were all 10 out of 10. I also want to recognize Danny, the Front of House Manager. WOW. Between Danny and Alvetta, you can see what great leadership and teamwork look like. They represent Buca di Beppo exactly the way any company would want its brand represented. Coming from a JD Power Associates background and experience with customer service data, I pay close attention to the customer experience, and I don't give praise like this lightly. These two deserve recognition -- and honestly, a raise! This was flawless customer service from beginning to end. And to top it all off, the food was delicious! Alvetta, Danny, and the entire team: THANK YOU. You made our first visit with my mom and sister memorable, and because of the way you treated us, we will absolutely be coming back. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. 10/10 hospitality. Buca di Beppo should be extremely proud to have Alvetta and Danny representing their restaurant. Outstanding job!

I went to Buca Brea for my birthday along with 13 others from my family and the service was mediocre for the price we were paying. I've been to high end restaurants where the food quality matches the price and service and this buca fell short. We got there and we were the only ones in our area attended by one server who seemed rushed so he kept asking "are you guys ready to order" like three times. It takes a while to go through the menu and decide because the prices are insane! With 4 plates and a salad we ended up paying 345 dollars...do the math! This will be the last time we come because my wife and I were regulars but now, it's just a past time. So we paid that much and we were sat in tables covered with plastic picnic style cloths but underneath was the story...LIFETIME PLASTIC TABLES and rotted wooden tables. For that price, we should be sitting on golden chairs haha Overall I gave it a three because it wasn't terrible but then again the service did not match the price better off going to Olive Garden and that place is crap! Haha

Well, fast forward to this year...and HE was the one who suggested we finally give it a try! We are SO glad we listened to him! The pizza here reminds me of the kind of pizza I would eat in Italy. It tastes authentic, flavorful, and beautifully simple. If you're looking for a traditional thick-crust pizza where you pile on whatever toppings you want, this probably isn't the place for you. But hear me out...TRUST THE MENU! Order what jumps out at you and let the ingredients speak for themselves. We've tried the Contadina, Funghi e Salsiccia, and Rocco's Pie, and every single one was delicious. But hands down, the Vespa is the STAR OF THE SHOW! And then there's the homemade spicy honey. OH.MY.GOODNESS. It is SOOO good that we now order a side of it just so we can dip our other pizzas into it. Trust me...you need it! We're kicking ourselves for waiting so long to come here, but I guess better late than never! Thank you, Fuoco, for giving us a little taste of Italy and for making our son's recommendation such a great one.

The cannoli cream doesn't have a citrus flavor - which is a huge win for me, and the tiramisu was divine.
