I would give this spot a 4.5 if I could. I need yall to know how good their Sicilian pizza is! And the vodka pizza is right up there as well! The Sicilian is a thick Chicago style slab of pizza. It is so thick, so delicious. I love the pesto sauce drizzled on top. The vodka pizza is so so good too. Literally if you took vodka sauce pasta and put it in pizza from with a super thin crust. This location is dangerous for me because it's right across from Santa Monica college so I can see myself going there way too often during classes. But it's worth it. The people are so nice. It's nice and casual. Great spot to watch a game while eating your pizza. You can take it to go and enjoy it around Santa Monica. It's great. I have been a loyal customer of Prime Pizza for years and have always loved their food, but my experience this evening was completely unacceptable.I ordered a whole pizza in person 45 minutes before closing and paid $45, expecting the premium, fresh quality I usually get here. Instead, because the staff was already packing up the kitchen, the closing crew pulled a sneaky shortcut. They clearly took a leftover cheese pizza that had been sitting out, threw my toppings on it, and ran it back through the oven to reheat it.The crust was a dead giveaway--it was completely dried out, brittle, and crunchy like a cracker instead of being chewy and fresh. The cheese was rubbery and separated from being double-baked.Charging a long-time regular full price ($45) for a stale reheat job just so the night shift could go home early is a terrible way to treat customers. I'm incredibly disappointed with this lack of care. I'm contacting management for a full refund, but the closing crew needs to be retrained on quality standards. read more

The vegan spicy pepperoni is what keeps pulling me back every time. It's got this actual kick to it that I wasn't expecting the first time - not just heat for heat's sake, the flavor is there too. Prime Pizza deserves 4.5 stars but since Yelp doesn't do half stars, we'll go with a strong four. This is just solid, normal pizza done well. It's nothing too spectacular or crazy, but they've got all the NY-style classics including both square and round pies, gluten-free and vegan options, and all your favorite toppings. What makes Prime Pizza stand out to me is their RANCH (some of my favorite anywhere and yes, they sell it by the bottle) and the crispy, spicy pepperoni. I also love that you can get a lot of things by the slice if you order in-store. This location in particular has a great patio and dining area with plenty of seating and TVs and the service is always quick and friendly. Prime Pizza is so good, and their prices are incredibly reasonable. I stopped in and got two slices one Margherita and one pepperoni. The Margherita was my favorite, maybe because I haven't been eating much meat lately, but either way, it was fantastic. Their slices are a great deal and based on how many orders I saw going out, one was for 20 pizzas it's clear this spot is in high demand. The crust was so good it had that high-quality east coast flavor. I wouldn't be surprised if they used imported water or had ovens designed to replicate an authentic Italian-style ovens. The place is located right across the street from Santa Monica College, so it definitely gets busy. Parking can be a little tricky especially if you're going east on Pico, since left turns can be restricted. I recommend turning before the shop to find street parking, or using the lot in the back or along the side of the building. They also have a great sitting area behind their building as well as inside, but the seating outside has two TVs and it's picnic style benching I didn't eat outside that day because it was pretty cold, but I would definitely sit out there and watch a basketball game because I think they had sports on when I was picking up food. The staff is really kind and friendly and even the bathroom was super clean and well stocked. Honestly, I'd absolutely recommend Prime Pizza to anyone craving a quality slice at a reasonable price. read more

Came here after camping and craving pizza. Some friends that live near by recommended this spot and it was a good one. We ordered a slice of grandma, Sicilian, bbq chicken and pepperoni. We also got a side of meatballs and garlic knots with a chopped salad. Food was good, pizza dough was thin with the perfect amount of crisp. The meatballs were nice and tender and I love garlic knots so those were solid and the chopped salad was there to bring everything together. Service was good staff was friendly and helpful which is what you'd expect. Ambiance was cool nice art and decor up. I liked the maps of LA and dodger items. Would we come back. I came in here for lunch yesterday. I bought 2 slices of pep and a soda. The service was good. The food was a bit over priced as well as the can of soda. The food itself was not fresh and I can tell it had been sitting a while even after reheating, and it was dried out. Plus the slices had other ingredients on one of the edges. 4++ of the locations that I've been to, this place feels a little larger. There's seems to be a good amount of seating inside and has a more open footprint than the other locations that I've seen. When I first walked in, I was greeted by some very friendly people and helped right away. I was also lucky because I think I've beat the late lunch or early dinner crowd. There was a good selection of slices available and I end up getting the staple which is the spicy pepperoni, but I also wanted to try the summer tomato pizza. It just looked really good! The thick slices had a nice crunch and weren't overly chewy. You could easily eat them without using utensils and just biting directly into them spicy pepperoni always a favorite here but that summer tomato should not be slept on. When I entered the store it was kind of empty, there was like two customers and five employees. I liked the place it was very white and filled with cool baseball art. Ordered last night. Got an 18" Pepperoni Pie. It's big. A lot of pizza places around here try to sell you these little pies. This is a man's pie. They use the pepperoni couplets, the kind that crisp up. And they don't skimp on the pepperoni. Every bite you can find one. Somehow, it's still not greasy. The ratio from cheese to sauce is spot on. The crust was crispy, firm undercarriage, and the sauce was sweet but not too sweet. It tasted great, genuinely. If you like a very cheesy pie, then order extra cheese. Also ordered an order of buffalo wings. The buffalo sauce was really good. And the blue cheese that came along with it was legit. I'm a bit particular with the blue cheese dressings most pizza places offer, but this tasted fresh. I have plenty of leftovers just from those two orders. Fantastic pizza! I ordered the meat lovers square pie. It was pretty big 12" x 16" or so. About a third bigger than most places. And twice as big as Emmy Squared Pizza. All the toppings tasted fantastic and the sauce was on point. The service is great unlike Joe's pizza which hires the unhappiest personnel. The ambiance is clean and for the first time I noticed they have a back patio. It was too cold to sit outside so I'll have to check it out next time. I definitely recommend Prime Pizza! read more

In the case of Prime Pizza, "prime" is absolutely an adjective and not a noun. Everything about this place is top notch. First things first, the vibe is top notch. Is a small place with about six little tables, so don't plan on bringing a huge crew. But the intimate atmosphere is about what you want for a place like this. The hip hop blasting over the speakers is also a nice touch (though it's not entirely kid-friendly). The fellas taking the order and helping us were cool and very friendly too. Even took care of us when our order took longer than expected. Okay, the food now. It was suggested we try the lemon pepper wings. Sounded like a good option to me. And wow. Honestly, never had better lemon pepper wings. Perfect blend of savory with a hint of sweetness. I love dry rub wings and these were done perfectly. Absolute banger. The pizza was exceptional too. We got the classic Grandma pizza. Generally speaking it's not my favorite, but as these go it's about as good as they come. If you're looking for a prime pizza place to check out, this is the spot. We were having a relaxing day during our vacation and I was looking around for food delivery when I saw Prime Pizza. The menu looked really good so I thought I'd order a couple pizzas so we had food all day. So I went with a typical round with the fresh mozzarella on top. White sauce for the win - it was really good. I also thought I'd get a nice little pizza with square slices. Little did I realize that this pizza was literally twice the size I've ever seen. No joke, I was expecting each slice to be half it's size. Needless to say, the pizza lasted for a couple days, but reheats just fine. Loaded with toppings and crisp crust, we really enjoyed these. I've been here 2x, months apart (ate at the location both times). The first time I had a pretty good experience. I ordered two slices and they were decent - not warm enough for my taste considering we were dining in, but they satisfied a pizza craving. I'd rate them a B. Unfortunately this second time was bad. Ordered 2 slices (to eat there) and they were so, SO DRY. Like another reviewer mentioned, it was like eating a cracker. I've never eaten a pizza that snapped and broke into pieces before. Both slices were the same sub-par (the Blanco & the Vodka). It was disappointing because when you want to treat yourself to pizza, it needs to be satisfying. This was not.
