    Mild Italian small
    Michelle O.

Came here for lunch. It is right by the hotel I am staying and wanted an easy lunch. It's in a little strip plaza less than a mile away. Asked the girl at the counter what she recommends. She said any of the Italians are good. Then she expanded that and said the rest was good too. I got the mild Italian. Got everything but no onions. Waited. Bout 10 mins then went back to the hotel. You can eat there but I chose not to. Nothing wrong with it. It's for a few tables and you can eat in. I opened it up. Smelled good and took a bit it was delicious. This sub was fantastic. Bread hearty but not too hard. Meat tender, peppers, lettuce and tomato just enough to complement the meat. Same with dressing. I got a small which was big but maybe I should have the medium. It was gone too soon. I'd get this again in a minute. It was so good! I'd travel for it. That's how good. If I'm ever around here again I'll try something else.

I absolutely LOVE Primo Hoagies! They bake their bread right there fresh on the premises every morning. So, its never stale, hard or tasting like it just came out of plastic wrapping off of a truck. The bread is delicious, fresh and has sesame seeds. The meats are fresh and they provide a hearty helping and you have your choice of fresh toppings There are 3 sizes: 6 inch, 9 inch or 2 feet. There are also potato chips and soda to round out your meal. I ended up ordering a 9 inch Ham & Provolone Cheese with banana peppers, extra pickles, extra oil & vinegar and salt, pepper & oregano. It absolutely did not disappoint and I devoured it! If you are a sub (aka hoagie) fan and are in the Princeton area, check out Primo Hoagies!

Excellent hoagies! Very flavorful. The location is conveniently located near the airport in Ewing. The have a large menu and lots of catering options as well. We have ordered their party trays for parties before and they were a hit (they actually individually wrapped each sandwich in a platter during COVID for no extra charge). If you go on Wednesdays they usually have their $2 off primo hoagie deals FYI. Their bread (primo sized ) has sesame seeds incase you have an allergy but their smaller size does not. Their bread does tend to be crispier and hold up better than other sub shops. Their Italians have many options and is very yummy, definitely recommend!

I had the most unbelievable sandwich and I will forever be an Abruzzi fan! Amanda & Tim have the most unbelievable sandwich shop located in Ewing. This hidden gem is tucked into a shopping center, and you better get there early before the lunch hour rush since this place is packed! Such friendly people and a huge assortment of sandwiches. I stepped out of my ham and swiss comfort zone and decided to try something new. Never had pork with broccoli rabe but I saw it on a food show once. When I saw it on the menu, I had to try. The flavors are unbelievable! The provolone gives the garlic in the broccoli rabe a taste punch! Tastes even better lightly warmed! Great food, a wonderful staff and now I'm a customer for life! Thanks Amanda for posing for the picture!

Food was ok, ordered 1 lb of rice pudding with my order. Tipped well too, which I am kicking myself for because they ask you to tip before you see if your food is right. Called and asked for a refund for the missing part of my order, was informed they dont give refunds, they give gift cards. So im supposed to drive over there for a $3 gift card. Saturday night no manager on duty. Keep my $3 and enjoy the review. Ill be leaving feedback on your website too.

COVID-19 TAKEOUT REVIEW These are the times that try our souls. To grab a break from constant at home dining, at least two or three times a week we pick up takeout meals from either a place we haven't tried before, but has been bookmarked for a long time, or an old reliable that for some inexplicable reason had dropped out of the rotation. So it was with Primo Hoagies in the Glen Roc Center near Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing, NJ. Nothing like a premium submarine sandwich on a fresh sesame seeded torpedo roll to pleasure and comfort a weary heart. And, Primo, the former Italian deli out of Philly that is now an expansive regional franchise, knows how to bring that iconic satisfying experience home. We ordered over the phone for curbside pickup and sent the 19 year old who is spending the rest of his college freshman year at home out to secure it. Ordering a Turkey Schwartzie (sliced roast turkey, Swiss, lettuce, tomato, sweet pepper relish and mayo), Corned Beef Schwartzie, and traditional Roast Beef & Provo Hoagalone, at $10 per, we actually had enough for two meals after cutting them into quarters and mix/match sharing. Our separately purchased bag of uber crisp & spicy Herr's Jalapeno Potato Chips were the perfect counterpoint to the soft semi sweetness of the sandwiches. And, an outstanding mention is demanded for the wonderful bread encapsulating the quality ingredients. Those babies were so delicious with sesame seeds generously spread atop each creation that I could easily have been happy with just them and a shmear of butter. So good! As we sat devouring dinner at the kitchen table we were able to forget the seeming war zone coronavirus had turned out peaceful community into for a few minutes and talk of normal things like before this disease ended our innocence. In times such as these, we must fully appreciate such moments together.

The seeded bread is great. The suprimo chicken sandwich is my favorite. Quality ingredients and good size subs.

I will admit though I tend to like the subs coming from this Primo more than my local Primo at home.

We have enjoyed Thanksgiving here for several years as well as many many many meals they are consistently yummy and always warm and welcoming. This is one restaurant where I've never had a bad meal. You could taste the care in every sip. Terri and Ron took amazing care of us--so kind, welcoming, and genuine. The space has a woodsy charm to it--open, cozy, and perfect for a date night or even a chill celebration with loved ones. Definitely one of those places that makes you want to come back.

A cozy bar area greets customers if you want to grab a drink while waiting to be seated. They also offer upstairs seating, rounding out a welcoming and highly professional atmosphere that has stood the test of time.   THE FOOD * Bread Service: The bread arrived with a tasty honey, chive, thyme, salt, and pepper butter, which was a nice touch. * Kumamoto Oysters: Ice cold and refreshing. They were complemented with cocktail sauce, watermelon mignonette, and fresh grated horseradish. * Crab Salad Special: Served in a martini glass. It featured cold, chilled crab marinated with tequila, triple sec, and lime, carefully laid on a bed of avocado mousse with an Old Bay-lined rim. Delicious and refreshing during a hot summer evening. * Tri-Color Beet Salad: A roasted beet and citrus salad with whipped ricotta and a pistachio honey vinaigrette that provided rich bites. * New York Strip: Sourced from Allen Brothers in Chicago. A showstopper with excellent crust and beef flavor. We ordered the Au Poivre sauce, which was tasty, but the steak was so good on its own that I ended up using the sauce for my sides! * 14 oz Center Cut Filet: Also sourced from Allen Brothers. Tender as expected with a wonderfully executed crust. * French Bordeaux Wines: We ordered the Chateau Loudenne Medoc and the Chateau De Sales Pomerol. Both were tasty, medium-to-full-bodied, and served as excellent accompaniments to the steaks. * Tuna Special: Nicely seared tuna served over vegetables and udon noodles. * Limoncello Pistachio Tiramisu: Very light and a nice end to the meal. * Kentucky Butter Cake: Served in a cast-iron pot with vanilla ice cream. Yummy and rich.   THE SERVICE Our server, Gene, has been with the restaurant for 8 years and provided exceptional service. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, pointing out standout options like the pastrami-dusted bone-in filet and the 45-day aged tomahawk topped with a root beer bourbon bacon compound butter.   OVERALL A great steakhouse experience with a highly professional staff and a kitchen that flawlessly executes high-quality steaks. The brunch was overall always good, but it wasn't anything special. The ambiance was one of the best things of this place as it had a nice and cozy interior hence why it's a steakhouse. And service overall each time we went was good as they did good cleaning our table in a timely manner and making sure that the plates didn't pile up. When it comes to criticisms it is mostly with the food. Each time we went it was always the same food and nothing was ever different. I know its breakfast and of course you'd expect to have most of the same stuff that breakfast tends to have. Including basic things like eggs, bacon, sausage, omelette station, toast etc. However, we had high hopes that maybe they would change stuff now and then, but it seems that never happens here. Due to that there are the same food options and then there are the items we didn't like that were always there and were never improved or changed. Overall, this is good for brunch but there are still better options out there.

I am not an adventurous eater, but I could kick myself for not going sooner. The food was that delicious and very importantly reasonably priced. My husband and I decided to try it during a date night, and I can't wait to go back. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our starter was Tandoori Samsa. Our entrees were the Classic Lamb and Plov Samarkand. For dessert we shared the Pahlava. If I had to change anything I would have ordered my own Pahlava. We found out that most of the people (regulars) who usually come here are on their vacation season so it was not an issue getting a six-top reservation with only a day's notice. The restaurant is huge with at least two mega rooms downstairs and one upstairs. We actually went to the upstairs door to check in only to be told we had to go to the downstairs door and check in there. Once we did, the staff asked if we would be ok with being in the "party" room where there would be a DJ. We were fine with that and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us. Once at our table, the extensive menus made it almost too difficult to decide what we wanted. May want to consider reducing the food options here. My wife and I split a tomahawk steak. Once we ordered it, we were told we should probably move to an eight-top because we would have more space. The place was almost empty at 6:15pm on a Saturday so we got to move and give us some more room. We also had two serving of Plov, a prime NY strip, a roasted beet salad, and a chicken fingers with fries. We added some bread, too, along with some compote. The Plov was some of the best we've ever had with lots of tender meat. Both steaks were cooked to our liking. Fries were killer and the chicken fingers were fine. I did not care for the compote as I'm used to it with fruit still in the drink. At about 7pm, the DJ started but there was no separate party which is what we thought was going to show up. The DJ sang some and played up-tempo dance music but also threw in some known music like Ob-Bla-Dee Ob-Bla-Dah from the Beatles also in the dance music style. So much fun after drinking a lot of our BYOB alcohol. Service was excellent and more than accommodating for us. He even advised when we were getting ready to leave that it was raining hard and we could stay until it died down. The restaurant is colorful with lights and designs on the walls including projector lights and white linen sheets above. The place was clean and also the bathrooms on the lower rear level. $305 not including tip for six adults which included two steaks, two Plov, chicken fingers with fries, three breads, and a compote. I mention a lot with my reviews that I'd come back to a place. I really can't wait to return to Samarkand! It was just a lot of fun with excellent food and service. I hope it's just as good when the place is slammed and full.
