    Tenders (Hot)

This Prince's Hot Chicken location is in the middle of a food court so be prepared for communal seating. Going back to Nashville, I wanted to try something different so I had Prince's Hot Chicken on my list for places I need to squeeze in during my stay. My hotel was within walking distance from the Assembly Food Hall and I made plans to visit once we had a lunch break. First time here, I ordered Tenders (Hot) and a lemonade. The tenders, wow. The heat level has me sweating and I only have ninety minutes to knock it out. The chicken is cooked well and juicy, even though the spice level is on the high side. This is a well cooked chicken, some people enjoy this brand over the other Nashville chicken spots. If you like your chicken with some kick, try Prince's Hot Chicken upstairs in the Assembly Food Hall.

I'm one of many tourists reviewing this, so I only have some much context. A lot of reviews are saying it has varying quality but I can say I got what I came here for! Chicken was flavorful and good, a bit pricey but overall solid. Better than most chicken I've had anywhere and would still recommend Didn't wait too long and it's a food court so I just found a table nearby

First time trying Prince's Hot Chicken. It is hot (even though I got medium). The tenders were decent sized and cooked as expected. We split a 4 piece tender order with 2 hot and 2 mild. The price is actually reasonable. I compare hot chicken tenders to those at Sisters & Brothers in Seattle which is still my favorite. Prince's has longevity and a good product. I think I expected more for all they hype I hear.

Checked this place out inside of Assembly Food Hall and was pleasantly surprised. They claim to have the original hot chicken. Their tenders lived up to the name, very tender and the heat level was great. Prices weren't the worst, considering it was downtown and the service was quick. Hattie B's is another well known hot chicken just down the street from this and it's worth having a try of both to see which is best !

In Nashville for the first time. We were in the food hall and saw Prince's. My husband said we had to try the hot chicken while we were here. We were there near mid to end of lunch on a Tuesday. There was a short line. The lady that waited on us was great. She was very helpful in our choices. We both got the medium, she described it as jalapeños heat. Ok, I like jalapenos, but this seemed a bit hotter! I had the tenders with fries. Other reviews said their chicken was dry. My tenders were very juicy. Fries were crinkle with paprika. I had ranch dipping sauce. My husband had the Andre Chicken Sandwich with the Sweet Heat. Southern sweet tea was bottomless. The only issue was trying to find a place to sit at the time we were there.

We still prefer Prince's hot chicken to Hattie's B, flavor is juicier and love the atmosphere in the food hall.

Was excited to try this sandwich. While it was very good, I liked Hattie B's better. The only downside of this was that the bun was very dry. Still very good

We wanted to try the original Nashville Hot Chicken. The Assembly Food Hall was crowded but not too bad. There was no line to order but quite a wait to receive your food. My order came out correctly and the tenders were ordered as medium. I was glad that I ordered ranch sauce because there was a definite kick to the sauce which I really liked. The fries were cooked perfectly as well. We found a seat in the food hall pretty easily. Napkins were on the table which was nice and the soda station was easy to access and it was nice to have free refills.

Located in a food hall. It was really good hard to pick so many options. It was so tasty would have been 5 stars if the pick up order lady was nicer. It was anout 830pm or so.

Very busy place. Good juicy chicken. Didn't know what to expect. I think I prefer more saucy chicken. They gave one sauce option (ranch) for four piece chicken tenders. The "HOT" was hot enough for me. They charge 50 cents for extra sauce. Would come back.

Located in the food hall right on Broadway. I wanted to try hot chicken while in town but didn't want to wait on the Hattie B's line downstairs. This was a good option. About a dozen people on line ahead of me but they moved quickly. Simple menu. Choose your heat level. I got which is definitely hotter than what I can get back home. Fries were average. Nice spot to sit and grab a casual meal.

As one of the most recommended hot chicken spots in, we had to give this spot a shot. This location in the food hall was particularly busy where you order at the counter, then wait on the side. We came during a Friday lunch and the wait after ordering was around 30 min. We got the 3 whole wings in XHot and the chicken sandwich in xxhot. The xhot was quite hot and we probably should have went down one level. Very smoky heat and more oily than flavorful? The chicken skin was not super crispy and the chicken itself was just OK to me. You don't get any sauces included in the order which I feel like is a crime for hot chicken (at least one!). The sando was needed more sauce/pickles in my opinion. It was on the drier side. XXHot was more tolerable in a sandwich vessel.

    Irene N.

It's definitely a Nashville must try. I'm glad that we were able to get it, and the line wasn't bad once you got into it. The chicken was spicy for getting a medium level of spice, and I know I can tolerate spice. But, next time, I would probably get a lighter spiced chicken (mild). The mac and cheese helped cool my mouth down and the pie was a great dessert to finish off the meal!

If I have the spice tolerance of a child, will I be ok with the plain?

Plain is no spice. You should be fine. Mild was too hot for me.

Is there any gluten free options?

What heat level should I get if I like a kick of heat?

Medium to Hot. I got XX Hot and it was no joke

It's my last night in Nashville so I want to go to a bang zoom restaurant. A few of my co workers have said to me: Mr Bill, we see every night you're going out to some amazing spots. Mind if we tag along? Sure, the rules are to keep your fork outta my plate when we sit down. Deal? The restaurant is very large, we're shown to our table. Set in the middle of the dining room and facing the bar. The bar can seat at least 25 people, the restaurant is set up for fun. To get our party started, I ordered a well crafted cocktail: Tea'd Up Old Fashioned Made with Bourbon, Black Tea and House Barrel Aged Bitters. Funky?? Oh yeah I'm with a bunch of Military Veterans and they're telling me their crazy stories. I'm sippin' my Old Fashioned and taking it all in, we need to bond over drinks and crazy things we all drank overseas. As an adult, I can appreciate my Nashville TN Old Fashioned with Black Tea. While we're talking, our waitress drops off a plate of homemade biscuits. The biscuits are fire! Buttery, flakey and moist, The Southern Steak & Oyster can make a damn good biscuit. Next, my Gumbo comes to me. The first taste I can tell this is a chef'd up dish. Better than anything I had in New Orleans. This gumbo is filled with Andouille, Crawfish, Shrimp and Fried Okra. Very flavorful indeed. My last entree in Nashville will be Fish 'N Grits. Fresh fish topped with Spicy Tasso Ham over Sweet Potato Grits and Bacon Braised Cabbage. This is a flavorful dish, the grits are very creamy and the cook on the fish was spot on. We had a great night at The Southern Steak & Oyster, it was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant.

Upon his return he was focused on everything but the 5 of us in the place until we finally had to ask to get service. The other visit everyone helped me but the actual server. Maybe this is a staffing problem, I don't know but being stuck for 20 minutes to order another drink with my meal is not acceptable. Although they had that check in my hand in under a minute and in under another minute to process. Again, super nicer people, but kind of oblivious. 2) Now let's talk about the kitchen. And I'm adding some input from the other diners because we all sat there waiting. - flavors are great, but the salt and spice level is overboard. I had the mushroom appetizer and nearly choked/coughed to death. I like heat but this was raw spice that overpowered the dish. And the salt about made my feet swell into balloons. Such a shame because the idea is great just poor execution - deviled eggs. Pass - BBQ Shrimp, sort of like the mushrooms right profile but overpowering - gumbo. Two other people had the gumbo and when I asked they said that too is just over spiced I want to like this place, but probably my last visit unless I just come for oysters. Sorry

This time, we switched things up and hit it for lunch instead. Good call. We grabbed seats at the bar, where Todd was holding down the fort. The guy was outstanding. Drinks never sat empty, food came out smoothly, and he somehow managed to be attentive without hovering over us every five minutes asking if everything was okay. My wife started with the Nashville Margue, which goes down way too easy for something packing moonshine. Light, refreshing, and carrying enough kick to remind you you're in Tennessee. Then Todd introduced us to a Bloody Mary made with a new pickle-infused vodka. Now, that sounds like one of those ideas that should either be amazing or a complete disaster. Turns out it's amazing. My wife loved it so much she's already talking about coming back tomorrow for another one. For food, we started with the pretzels and beer cheese. Simple. Warm. Soft. Salty. Exactly what you want while settling into a Nashville afternoon. Nothing fancy, just done right. Then I went all in on the mac and cheese topped with Nashville hot chicken. Yee Haw. Creamy mac and cheese. Crispy chicken. That signature Nashville heat. Comfort food with a little attitude. Just the way it should be. The best thing about The Stillery is that it knows exactly what it is. Good food. Good drinks. Good people. No gimmicks. No trying too hard. Just a fun place to sit down, relax, and enjoy yourself. A bit mild for the serious hot chicken fans, but the flavor is there. The chicken tenders are fairly standard. And the crinkle fries are mid. I enjoyed both of the drinks. At $14.50, they are at least $1.50 less than the standard Broadway cocktails in the star bars, so iti s a less expensive option to get a drink. I don't think they ever have live music, unlike some others here, so you are going for the food, not the noise. Service was great, as always. The staff is always prompt and knows their menu. Perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft and flaky inside. So satisfying. The fried pork chop was a little dry for my taste, but all the sides were delicious and made up for it. The mac and cheese especially was sooo good. Overall, really comforting Southern food with a welcoming atmosphere and definitely worth trying if you want a more authentic Nashville experience.

Famous for not having a sign, finding it may be part of the adventure, but once you do, everything else is effortless. Parking is simple--just pull up and valet takes care of the rest. With a reservation, we walked right in with no wait. The most difficult part of the evening was deciding what to order because the menu offers so many tempting choices. I selected the Kvarøy Arctic Salmon, while my wife chose the Springer Mountain Farms All-Natural Chicken. Both dishes exceeded expectations. The salmon was cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. It rested on a bed of greens with a subtle lemon flavor that paired beautifully with the fish. The chicken was equally impressive--moist, tender, and packed with flavor. What stood out most was the incredible smoky aroma that hit before each bite, making it even more irresistible. For dessert, the Blackberry Lemon Bread Pudding was the perfect finish. Soft, warm, and bursting with flavor, it was a standout ending to an already exceptional meal. From the outstanding food to the attentive service, Urban Grub delivered a fantastic dining experience. Make a reservation, enjoy the meal, and see if you can find the place.

The small signage made it a little difficult to find inside the Marriott (see pictures), but from the moment we walked in, heard the live piano player and saw the dining area - we knew this would be a great experience. We started off by sharing orders of Lobster Bisque (see picture) and Burrata with Toast (see pictures). We really enjoyed both of them - the Lobster Bisque was so creamy and smooth and the Burrata was cool, fresh and clean. They were a great combination to start our dinner experience and I would recommend both of them. Since it was a Friday during lent, my wife opted for the BBQ Shrimp Pasta (see picture) and I went with the Daily Fish Special on Blue Corn Grits (see picture). As we always do when we go out, we shared our plates and really enjoyed both of them. The BBQ Shrimp Pasta was rich, buttery and smooth and the Fish Special was a tasty white, flaky and blackened fish served on a bed of rich, creamy blue corn grits. Here again, both are highly recommended. While it is one of your more expensive area stops for dinner, you will appreciate the food quality and presentation at Gannons Nashville for your next special occasion.
