This review is for my experience on 3/3/21. It's been about 4 weeks since my service at the studio and I've never had nails hold up so well. I am just shocked. It was worth every penny to have not a single issue with the most beautiful nails I've gotten in my life. This is my first time getting Gel X extensions. I found Print On Me Pretty via Yelp, checked out their photos here and on Instagram @printonmepretty and made an appointment that day. Checking out a new salon is always a gamble but I'm so glad I made one. I brought some photos in of my desired nails and they matched it to a T. The nail tech was extremely meticulous with my shaping, and kept checking in with me to make sure I was pleased at every step of the process. There was one point where she made a tiny mistake that I didn't even mind and she wiped off the nail and restarted. That's detail and perfectionism. I really appreciated it! I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I've been seeing Tu for months now and she's a detailed artist that's very reliable. Every inspiration picture I show her she's been able to replicate. In the beginning I was doing GelX and slowly we moved to hard gel on my natural nail and we're able to achieve (in my opinion) an identical look. Lydia is a passionate owner, always there to help find the correct colors and is also just a lovely human. Their prices may be a bit higher than other shops around but honestly for the quality you get here it's completely reasonable. Their shop is clean, their tools are clean, and you will never ever experience an over-buffed nail. They genuinely care about you and the health of your nails. What more can you ask for? read more

I recently moved to SaMo and have been looking for a good nail salon after months of not going into any salons due to Covid. What I enjoy about this salon are: 1. VERYYY Clean 2. Allows only 1-2 customers to be worked on at a time 3. Schedule appts to allow you ample time for your services 4. The technicians are very meticulous with their work - this is important because I'm very particularly on how my nails are painted 5. They stand by their services and guarantee it 6. The owner and all the staff is extremely professional and kind. They make you feel welcome and very comfortable. If you are looking for a salon who stands by their work and take Covid safety protocols serious, it will be worth a visit! I will definitely be back. Better yet, have already scheduled for my next appointment. Generally I enjoyed this place. The owner was nice and the place was clean and cute, and the music wasn't too loud. My nails look great! I already expected my nails to turn out good based on the reviews, so no shocker there. One thing I may recommend is to ask your nail tech to go a little easier on the cuticles, as my thumb ended up being irritated and bleeding. But, I don't think that's going to stop me from coming back, haha. read more

Absolutely WORST nail salon service, customer care, and not social distancing what so ever! Received gel manicure and spa pedicure here INDOORS after the governor mandated that all salons only do outdoor services. Thought that was odd to begin with, but since the salon was in the mall I assumed it was ok. Sara the nail technician was very nice, but extremely slow service took about 2.5 hrs. Right away my nails started chipping, discoloration from matte gel which I never had before from my other nail spots ( I've been doing matte gel non stop for years) Lydia, the owner I met before, organized for me to come in at 2:30pm today to redo my nails Then I called the salon right now to confirm and the other owner Andrea, whom I've never met said they couldn't accommodate me & made up a lie saying that can't accommodate me for any day. Andrea the owner was EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude when I voiced being upset about this over priced service of $100 (perhaps more) She didn't have a care since she was more concerned about a new customer that walked in and hung the phone on me. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST! All they care about it money it's very obvious. I believe they should be closed for their indoor service as well. Wanted to update my review now that I've been coming in regularly. I still have only glowing things to say. The GelX nails last so long and Tu has such great attention to detail that every time I go in for a fill/design change the old set still looks like it was just finished. The service is still unparalleled too. When we thought one product was glow-in-the-dark but it turned out not to be (just blacklight - oops), Lidija ordered a glow top coat and invited me back in to make them glow the very next day! EDIT: This is in response to the owners message. I changed my review to one star because wow, such a disappointing nasty response. The pictures are from ONE DAY after. Just because I didn't wanna write a bad review and I was on holiday. waited this long. But now I'll be happy to write my review. I am posting updated pictures that screenshot the date and time my pictures were taken. They were taken on June 10, one day after my appointment. Look closely please. My cuticles didn't grow overnight. You didn't do your job right. And I wasn't going to mention this before, but now I am annoyed. You also made me wait 40 minutes before you could service me. I was so nice and accommodating but honestly, I should've left. Do not try to turn this on me, saying I waited. What a disappointing response. Finally, I'm going to add a picture of the nails today to show you what 2 week old nails actually look like -_- still, they shouldn't be crusty closer to my cuticles like this. I've been to amazing places and this has never happened. First of all, I would like to say that the owner is v nice so I didn't want to have to write this review. This was my first time getting gel X and while the experience was not bad, I do have a few issues. She did a good job at the nail art. My nails do look good from a distance. I realized this after and I should've looked at my nails carefully. She did not actually take care of my cuticles, she didn't take off the dead skin around my cuticles. There was no treatment for that. She didn't clean under my nails. I feel like she rushed that part entirely and part of the manicure experience is the prepping and cleaning so I was a bit confused why she didn't take care of that and why she rushed through that. The gel X is fine but once my nails were painted, before curing them, she didn't clean the gel that outside of the actual nail. So it hardened and I had gel polish lifting up outside my nail. See pictures. Lastly, my thumb nail length was uneven. She should've double checked the length. This was my first time getting GEL X so I was confused and didn't know what to expect. Did not look carefully at my nails until I left. For the price that they charge, they should be providing an actual manicure, not just a paint job. If that's what I wanted, I'd cure my nails at home. I will not be going back. There are other nail salons that do a better job for less money. I'm so disappointed and sad because I paid $130+ tip for nails that were painted outside the lines and for a horrible prep. I have been meaning to leave a comment on Yelp for a while. My mom found Print on Me Pretty nails a few months ago while we were staying in Santa Monica. She saw the amazing reviews and pictures of nail art and decided that we HAD to go. It was the first time either of us had gotten our nails done since COVID "began" March 2020. Since then, my mom and I have committed to continuing to have our nails done here. Not just because their technicians' HAND PAINTED nail art is PHENOMENAL but because of the amazing vibes we get coming here. To give you an understanding of exactly how much we love Print on Me Pretty nails- we drive approximately 1.5 hrs EACH way to get our nails done and that is on a good day dealing with LA traffic. Our drive from Claremont to Santa Monica has become a bit of a ritual and is SO WORTH IT. The owner, Lydia has to be the sweetest lady on the planet. Every time we go in, Lydia greets us with the happiest of smiles and always goes above and beyond to make sure that we are well taken care of. Lydia even assisted our family in obtaining hotel reservations in the area for my Aunt's 50th birthday after she overheard our struggle (Due to COVID, it's a bitch getting reservations in Santa Monica for large parties)! If it isn't obvious enough, I am completely obsessed with Print on Me Pretty nails. Besides the great customer service, the job that Amelia does on my nails is out of this world. I usually go in with a vague idea or Pinterest picture of something that I want and Amelia somehow manages to HAND PAINT it! She even hand painted a snake for me once. ALSO the fact that my nails stay on more than two weeks still blows my mind. I have been getting acrylics I was a teenager and GelX for a few years now. My nail extensions usually start peeling or popping off after one week but would occasionally stick on a little longer. I have asked previous nail technicians I've seen why, and their usual response is that I have oily nail beds. My acrylics or GelX nails have NEVER stayed on more than two weeks until I started seeing Amelia. I have attached a picture of the most recent GelX manicure that Amelia did for me- it has been THREE weeks since my last appointment. As you can see, not only are all ten GelX extensions still adhering to my nails, but Amelia's HAND PAINTED nail art is still SO ON POINT. Not sure exactly how Amelia has managed the impossible. Either it's her attention to detail or the woman has some kind of magical nail powers because instead of getting a manicure every two weeks, I have them done every 3-4 weeks! 10/10 am in love with Print on Me Pretty and would recommend. read more

I wish I didn't have to leave this review but I feel it's necessary to forewarn anyone who doesn't appreciate being disrespected or having their time wasted. Especially after paying extra for a hard gel manicure that didn't last a week. I arrived to my appointment 10 minutes early and was immediately told to come back in 35 minutes by an unpleasant woman with frizzy blonde hair, who later disclosed that she was an owner of the salon. I obliged & walked around the mall to waste time in the stores adjacent to the nail salon. When I came back into the salon, there was a new woman who was beginning to have her manicure done. This same woman who asked me to come back for my appointment, had said they took this other woman whose appointment time was not for another half hour because I did not answer my phone (which died). The manager was extremely condescending, which I have not encountered there before, because I've only been in the salon when her partner was working. She actually told me to leave and come back in another hour if I wanted my nails done. She proceeded to behave as though my time wasted was not important and did not even offer an apology. I'm appalled at the lack of professionalism I encountered. To make matters worse, I had been in the salon two weeks prior for a pedicure and hard gel manicure, which I was told would last a month without breaking. This did not last more than a week as my nails were all completely broken and chipped before a week had passed. Unfortunately, this was the first appointment I was able to make due to my work schedule. Now I'm forced to wait much longer for an appointment elsewhere to repair my nails. There are plenty of other nail salons on the area with better scheduling, that aren't in a mall and with more respectful management who won't waste your time & whose manicures last longer than the week. The other business partner, Lydia, is lovely but the risk of anyone dealing with what I did today makes this salon not worth the trouble. read more

Super cute shop and great customer service! I went in for a spa pedicure ($50) not sure what the difference is between the spa and regular.. spa pedicure included: scrub, mask, and lotion on the legs (shops usually include this is a regular service). Anyway, as the pedicure started, I explained to the tech, that I had an ingrown in a few toes and pointed them out. Said she'd take care of it. Though we were all engaged in great conversation, the owner was watching the service every chance she could get from the corner of her eye... so I thought maybe the tech is new and I didn't want to get her in trouble... when the owner left for a second, I quietly asked for the tech to dig a little deeper because I could still feel the ingrown on each toe. I was really looking forward to getting my nails done here for my birthday and it is very unfortunate that I had such a terrible experience. I came in asking for the a specific look ( I showed them an image of what I wanted exactly) , I wanted tips on my nails with gel polish. When I was getting my nails done and realized that Emilia was applying gel polish on my nails with no tips I was very confused and asked her if she was going to apply the tips and she said no because I just wanted a gel manicure. She completely misunderstood me, I still wanted the tips but she made me feel as if she could not start all over because she had an appointment to follow and she wouldn't have time. I payed $115 for a gel manicure with designs, which is completely outrageous. As I am extremely unhappy with my nails I reached out to them to try and find a solution for this because I really wanted to write a good review, Lidia which is who I spoke to on the phone said that the only solution to this was that they would do them again for $70, at that point would've payed a grand total of $185 for my nails. I am not willing to pay more for something that was not my fault. I showed my nails to a couple of my friends and non of them would step foot at this place. If their goal is to make the customer happy, this is a very poor way to execute it. Print on me pretty, DO BETTER! Now Im stuck with something I do not like for my birthday. I will attach images 8/25 I went in today asking to why the 10% that was promised to me on the day off the service wasn't apply, this is what I received. After, she clearly states she gave me 10% off on the numbers that were apply on two fingers. I will attached the receipt from another co-worker that shows the 10% off and on mine no percentage was taken off. She took advantage of the fact I didn't know the lingo, she doesn't want to admit she was wrong. Shameful a person like this is in business. read more

This is by far the worst nail salon that I've ever been to in all my years in Los Angeles. My gel manicure peeled off within 24 hours. I arrived for my nail appointment a few days before Valentine's Day. I had acrylics previously so my nails were damaged from the acrylics. I asked the nail tech if she thought that I should get Dell extensions or if I should do a gel manicure. She said that I should do a gel manicure with hard gel underneath.The owner Lydia rubbed me the wrong way from the moment that I walked in there she made me feel uncomfortable and insisted on trying to get me to buy add-ons to my manicure and pedicure. I added a callus removal onto my pedicure because of her sales tactics but unfortunately they did not even perform that service but charge me for it anyway. After my gels peeled off I scheduled an appointment to come back in to get my nails redone. I walked in about 10 minutes late after confirming my appointment the day before because the parking was difficult. They had already taken another client without informing me when I asked for a refund the owner Lydia was very rude and accuse me of peeling off my own gel nails. Also, when I tried to run my card at her register her square card reader wasn't Working correctly and wouldn't read my debit card so I had to use my credit card. She also accused me of trying to get a "free manicure" so she didn't have to refund the service. Shitty service, even shittier attitudes definitely don't get your nails done here also it was extremely overpriced. I never really write reviews like this but first encounter literally was the worst nail experience I I have ever had. BEWARE. read more

They are marketing a new print on nails experience and literally have hundreds of fashionable and unique designs! They also have a selection of beauty products for your face and hands the caliber used at high end spas all at reasonable prices. My daughter decided to try a set of "temporary" gel nails, which she designed there herself. The nails can be removed between her sporting events and reapplied afterwards. In between they can be stored in a fashionable case also offered. When my daughter's friends saw her nails they were amazed. They are already planning a girls trip to get their nails done at Print On Me Pretty. read more

To Sparknote: AMAZING customer service, spotlessly clean, mask mandated, open air, glass between you and the nail tech. Went to Tu who did a beautiful job. Would go as far as to say the best manicure I've ever had. The owner, Lydia, SO nice and fun to talk to. For those who had negative comments about "slow" service, they're just highly skilled technicians and do an incredibly meticulous job. Not slow, just good. No fun in getting pampered if you're in a rush. For those who said it's overpriced, I've been getting gel/dip for 8 years now and this is honestly very reasonable especially considering the high quality products she uses.
