I just moved to a very shitty apartment not long ago and it was truly a disaster that everywhere in my apt was infested by pests. We looked on yelp and found this service has pretty good ratings, so we gave it a shot. Turned out we made a right choice. Good service and they are super responsive. They use subscription models for charge instead of letting customers pay for every service. I chose quarterly subscription and they come to do the major inspection every 3 months, and I can call them anytime if there's any pests appearing between the services. Love that. We are being completely ignored. This is an update to my prior good review. If we could, we would give zero stars. They were very responsive when seeking to secure our business. However, after Anthony came the first time, he and Raymond at the office have ignored us. We showed Anthony where we saw a mouse and the neighbor's yard from where rodents are coming. He said it was taken care of but would be back the next week to double check. We never heard from him or anyone again. Now we've seen 2 mice and a nest. They just ignore our calls and texts. This is my second house with Pro Active Pest Control. They have always done a great job! But today they went out of their way for a customer. Today ion Friday at 4:00pm the week before 4th of July, I came home to an ant infestation, all through the house. I called and they said no one available but once I explained how we were being invaded Mike the scheduler got on the phone and sent out a message to find a technician. Keep in mind this was 4:00 pm on a friday and within 15 minutes the Manager Jeff changed his schedule to rescue us from the ant infestation before the big holiday. Their people always showed up late, you could never count on them, and then when they did show they went out of their way to do the bare minimum, and not seem happy about doing even that. I stuck with this company for over three years just because it seemed easier than setting up a whole new relationship with a pest control company. Mike from Pro Active Pest Control has been the absolute savior for our house! We saw a frenzy of ants near our baseboards in our bathrooms and somehow crawling on our ceiling. No idea how or why they came, but we called Pro Active Pest Control immediately. While waiting for the appointment we re-caulked pretty much every single little crevice possible in the bathrooms and bleached the bathroom from floor to ceiling. Once Mike arrived he found the ant trail outside and treated not only the ant trail but the entire house perimeter as well as the inside area as well. I'm not sure what's in the magic eco-friendly juice he uses but we went from seeing 4-6 ants seemingly every time we walked into the bathroom to not seeing them at all. I saw 2 stragglers make there way back into the bathroom again yesterday and today Mike showed right back up with the magic juice to put the finishing touches on what should be the last ants that come inside our house. Thank you for treating my house with the same care as if it were your own. Not easy to find folks like Mike out the world so we're super thankful! Contacted this company and spoke with Jason. When he heard how badly we needed someone, he scheduled an appointment for the following day, then explained their contract, I was pleasantly surprised. Their price is totally better than any other exterminators. Plus Pro Active is absolutely an improvement over the last exterminator we dealt with. Their service contract was every three months and even though it was also a "maintenance" contract, we couldn't seem to get them as quickly as we wished; we cancelled their contract after four months as the ants and spiders seemed to be "winning". Pro Active contract is every other month with the same maintenance guarantee - what an improvement and cost is so much less. When I called the office back, I spoke with Sasha (my apologies if it is spelled incorrectly), she is an absolute delight with excellent customer service skills and her assistance was exceptional. The technician who serviced our residence phoned ahead, as per our request to ensure our dogs were not in the back yard - which rarely happened with the other company. Andy arrived as promised and did an excellent job - fabulous results after one treatment! Ants were all over our kitchen - since the following day we've only had an occasional one or two instead - am so pleased. Love this company. We have been using them for several years now and they always have taken care of us. We had Tom do service for us this week at swiftly took care of a mouse issue we've been experiencing. Also, we had another concern come up and Brett M. in the office was able to handle my phone call and coordinate a last-minute service for us. They answer their phone lines early and take care of their existing customer. It's awfully hard to find great customer service these days but this particular company has proven to be a cut above. They have a mom and pop feel to them and both the admin staff and field techs have treated us very well. If you have to throw money at pest service, it's nice to know that you're dealing with a pleasant company. read more

I had a wonderful first experience with Pro Active Pest Control. I used Yelp to ask for quotes from a variety of companies. Many got back to be quickly but Pro Active was working at lightning speed. Within an hour of asking for a quote, I receive a phone call from Garrett. He was kind, courteous, and very professional. He was very clear when explaining to me what would happen during the first visit and setting up my account and appointment. I have pets and was concerned about the type of chemicals used by the company. Garrett said they recommend keeping the pets inside for a few hours to let the treatment dry and it should not affect them. The next day, Jordan arrived on time. He wore a mask and had booties on his shoes when entering my home. Jordon was very friendly and answered a ton of my questions before inspecting the house. During the inspection, he noted what he saw verbally and took pictures of any open entry points for pests. He then cleaned and treated around the house. The entire process took about an hour. Before he left, I received a quote from Pro Active for fixing the areas where pests may enter the home (screens needed to be fixed around the perimeter of the home and I needed to close up the cracks under the garage door). The quote was reasonable. I signed up for the year plan where they will come out every other month to clean up any pest (webs/dead bugs) and reapply treatments around the home. I would rather leave it up to the pros to keep my house free of those pesky bugs. I had a great interaction with Pro Active Pest Control. I highly recommend them if you find yourself in need of pest removal or routine preventative pest control around your home. read more

I have been with Pro Active Pest Contol for almost a year. I had a rat living in my kitchen and wanted it taken care of ASAP. Their initial cost to come out was very expensive at $399. I was shocked at the pricing but was desperate to get someone out quickly. Brandon came out the same day to set traps around my house and within a day the rat was caught! Brandon has been treating my house every other month and has always been communicative, punctual, and professional. Definitely 5 stars for his service. We've been using Pro Active for general pest (mainly insect) control. They come out once every two months and spray around the outside of the house. This has been great for us as we really had an abundance of insects that now seems to be very minimal. What became a bigger problem for us was pigeons. Pigeons were roosting on our roof and nesting under our solar panels. Both of which are annoying, but the nesting under the solar panels was the worst. Primarily because the panels are right above our bed...and the pigeons get pretty loud under there. So, we were dealing with this day-in and day-out, with the bonus of a pigeon egg occasionally rolling off the roof and splattering on our backyard concrete! No bueno! As a result, I asked if Pro Active has any services for bird control, and of course they do!!! I made an appointment for a few days later and Steve Leighton came right on time! Steve was a great person. Very knowledgeable (particularly about pigeons since he has raised them in the past) as well as personable. We had a nice talk the whole time while he explained things to me in detail. Anyway, Steve got on the roof, snapped some pics, inspected some areas, and made some measurements. I received two reasonable quotes. The first for installing what is essentially fencing around the base of the panels and the second was for adding bird proofing wires to the ridges. Unfortunately, for budget reasons, we could only do one, so we went with the solar panel option. That got scheduled, and that crew came out within a week and knocked out the job in a few hours. Now, we have peaceful bliss!!!! We aren't woken by the pigeons. We have no more eggs rolling off. And honestly, there are less pigeons that bother roosting up there now as well. So, we're very happy. We noticed a huge spider web near the roof area and I couldn't reach it so I called proactive pest and they came out the next day to take care of it! I was still in the billing cycle so there was no charge which is always great! The technician was Mike and he was awesome! He was friendly, professional and he not only did he get rid of the huge web, he de-webbed the while backyard and did another spot treatment around our whole house! Mike and Cheng are great technicians and their customer service is awesome! If you need pest control especially for the summer, go with proactive pest! If you are looking for a pest control, try Pro Active Pest Control! I've tried out a couple other pest controls companies such as Clark, terminx, and Pegasas! To me, pro active is the best choice! They have excellent customer service and Ross is the main person you want to talk to! ROSS is by far the nicest and most professional person to talk to from pro active pest! He is friendly and really wants to get the best deal for you, so if you speak to Ross, you will be satisfied! As for treatment, Cheng did an outside barrier treatment and Josh did the de-webbing around the house and also laid out a treatment in the bark so help prevent slugs and other pests that like to interfere with plants. Both Cheng and Jason are very nice and professional and care about customer They charge $79 every other month and if you do a referral, they will take off $30 off your best treatment! I've been w Proactive for a little over a year and they have been performing OUTSTANDING service!! The same technician comes every time. My technician Tom is very knowledgeable and very reliable. He took the time to explain things and even gives me heads up to when it is the peak season of certain type of insects. He usually treats the outside perimeter of my house by spraying, assessing for infestations and even sweeps spider webs away! They do spray the interior upon request which isn't an extra charge and if you see more bugs after treatment they will come back and spray with out charging you. I recently had them inspect my home for termites as well and that was also free of charge since there were no evidence of termites noted. Jordan came out to our house to spray around the perimeter of the house as well as set mice traps. Jordan was very friendly, very knowledgeable as well as attentive to our concerns. We didn't feel like he was rushing, he took his time looking for ways to treat the inside and outside of our house, he wore a mask and was just an overall great guy. I gave the company 4 stars only because both times when we were expecting to have a tech come out, some how their office had mixed up the dates that someone was suppose to come out.
