I'll start by saying that it took me 5 years to find an honest and reliable mechanic in Whittier. Of all the repair shops I tried out in the area Pro Motors was far above the rest in customer service, quality of work, and trustworthiness. I recently traded in my old Honda for a Smart Car and the time had come for me to get its scheduled 30,000 mile service. For those that don't know Smart Cars are no longer being sold in the US and Smart service centers are few and far between. Mercedes makes the Smart so I thought the only other alternative for service/repairs would be the very expensive Mercedes dealer. Since it's not a common car I called Pro Motors to see if they could service it and to my surprise they said they could! They even went as far as to call the Mercedes dealer to make sure they were doing the correct maintenance package on my car. That level of care speaks volumes to me, they could've easily done just the standard service for any old car and I would've been none the wiser. They really went the extra mile to make sure they got the job done right. I highly recommend coming here for your car repair needs. read more

Tony and Mike and his crew were amazing kept me posted throughout the duration of the car repair initial repair did not work which is usually a crap moment for the car owner. However the people at Pro Motors took initiative and did the second repair at no cost. Which would have been more than the initial repair.which is unheard of in this day in age I initially took my car to Toyota and Anahiem which could not resolve the problem! This place is amazing and let me tell you why! I own an Audi A6 Quattro and when I took it to the Audi dealer they gave me an estimate of $7,000 which seemed like a lot of money. I called this shop yesterday and asked for a quote. I was told I could bring the car in the following morning when they open because they "don't do appointments". I bring the car and NO ONE is wearing mask, even after we go inside no mask. Then I'm told that the car might be done by the end of the day, if not tomorrow. I was under the impression that it was a first come first serve but they were "all booked up"... whatever, I just wanted my car worked on. So I agree then here comes another employee, tony. The guy I'm speaking to switches me to him saying I have "more questions". I didn't lol I was getting ready to leave the car and give my information. Tony looks at me so I said "I was just trying to figure out when the car might be done because he said today or tomorrow". Tony then says "I didn't say, that you're talking to me not him." Idk where this whole weird attitude came into play. I already felt uncomfortable because they WERENT wearing mask now this awkward vibe they had going on. No thanks, I'd rather just find a place that is simple and straight forward. I won't be returning. You guys should really work towards being more professional and covid cautious. read more

In an industry where it's difficult to find for the lack of a better term, "trustworthy" people, this place earned my trust. I needed a 90k service on my Lexus 200 CT. Dealership obviously wanted to charge me an arm and a leg but Tony asked to just bring it in so he could take a look at what it needed. Not only did he take care of my car in a timely manner for the fraction of the cost but he was honest and polite. Great place to do business. read more

WARNING did $500 worth of damages during maintenance that cost $100. I took my car here to get the tires balanced and rotated and to perform thrust alignment for $100 total. Tony was very professional and everything seems to be done correctly, but when I returned to my vehicle, I noticed a DEEP, UGLY, AND VISIBLE SCRATCH in the leather on my steering wheel. Most likely from the mechanic leaning into the car, putting his weight on the steering wheel (while holding a sharp tool) and using his right foot to step on the gas to conduct a test that simulates freeway speeds. This indicates that they don't treat your property with the respect it deserves. The vehicle was in their care for two hours and I returned to this. Tony denied any responsibility, but recommended an upholstery shop to take it to and that he would pay for it. The guys at the upholstery shop basically told me that they no longer do steering wheel repair because it's so time consuming and that the only way to truly fix the problem would be to buy an entirely new one from the dealer for about $500. It is NOT unreasonable to expect my car back on the EXACT condition it was in before. And after talking to Tony about it and getting absolutely nowhere (with him calling my credibility into question) I left. On a side note, he did offer to pay for a new steering wheel cover, but I just didn't want to deal with him any longer do I left. His offer was a pittance compared to the cost of true compensation and, to me, an insult. Also, they left my car unlocked, so it's entirely possible a person passing by on the street did that while going through my car. BUT it was parked by him on his property and in his care so even if this happened, it's still his responsibility. The bottom line is: if you take your car here, TAKE PICTURES OF EVERY SINGLE INCH so that if something on your car is damaged by these guys you can actually receive compensation. Tony himself said they don't have video surveillance, and that they don't take pictures so you need to do this yourself. In response to your comment, Tony, I'm operating under the assumption that if you break it, you buy it. The excuse, "a certain amount of wear and tear is expected" on my vehicle DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO DAMAGE ANY PART OF IT. I expect to come back to my vehicle in the same condition I left it in when I entrusted it in your care for a measly two hours. And yes, you can buy a steering wheel for $229.95, but that isn't the same one as mine, and doesn't integrate seemlessly with my vehicle's electrical systems (volume, song switching, phone calls, and cruise control). Also, as you very well know, you didn't factor in the billable hours a mechanic would as as payment, which would increase the cost for such a time consuming operation dramatically as well as the inevitable trips back to the mechanic when complications arise. $500 is the quote I got from the upholstery specialist and is not a random number I made up. And, unlike the cosmetic wear on the steering wheel buttons, which I was aware of at the time of purchase, I have to see and feel that disgusting scratch every time I turn the wheel. Your comparison with scratching the door and repainting the entire car isn't entirely accurate in this case. The upholstery specialist informed me that the only way to remove that scar would be to replace the entire steering wheel. However, like a door you scratched, you'd repaint the entire door, regardless of any previous scratches. This holds true for my steering wheel. The only way to repair the damage you caused is to replace the entire wheel. Any other cosmetic damages are IRRELEVANT. I shouldn't have to buy a steering wheel cover that I never wanted because of damage your business did. I couldn't care less about your offer to pay for the cover, and frankly, it's a slap in the face considering the damage you've done to the RESALE VALUE OF MY CAR. read more

I had been having trouble with my car for month. The check engine light had been on and my husband had taken it to be repaired twice at two other places, but the light still came back on after driving it for a little while.
