I have moved nearly every year for the past few decades & make sure to hire licensed, professional moving companies, so I did much research when needing to find movers in the South Orange County area. They presented well on the phone, seemed professional, emailing copies of quotes & confirmed bookings. They emailed me the day prior to confirm move, and also confirmed again via text message, as you can see from screenshots. I confirmed & they verified. Our move was scheduled yesterday for 12:00, no one showed. Not only that, but after the 12-1 window, I called & a man answered telling me I had to speak to who booked it and transferred me to Ahmad. It just rang 30 times & hung up on me, so I called back & the woman for reservations said to hold, she'd stay on the line until he picked up. 23 minutes later & no one ever came back on the line after holding, so called again & left a voicemail asking for an ETA & update, as we were all waiting & had to move that day, moving cross country. No one called back, so I text the number back & finally was given a call back by John. He apologized & said to give him 5 minutes & he'd try to round up a crew to show up in the next hour. He also stated he felt bad, was disappointed in his staff & offered $200 in gas as an apology for the inconvenience. I said ok, well is someone coming to help us today? He replied, let me give you a call back in 5 minutes & I'll see what we can do. Well, he never called back. No one showed & never received any offered compensation. So yesterday on 7/9/21 we were left in a two story house stranded, just my husband & I having to have my Dad nearly 60, with stints put in after a heart attack help us move every single piece of furniture & box down two flights of stairs. Took us nearly 18 hours to get it all done, and why I spent many days calling for quotes & getting info to book a professional moving company. They screwed us so bad, and cost us tons of time & money delaying things for our move & never had the decency to even call me back. A move is stressful. It is essential to work with reliable and trustworthy partners. ProMoversOC failed completely. Like other reviewers, I got a call the day before my move letting me know that my move would be rescheduled from 8am because their truck broke down. I was told that there were two smalls before me, but, a crew would be at my house between 3 and 5 pm. On the day of the move, I called at 4:30 pm to check on the status of my move and was given another number to call - Sasha, the logistic coordinator. Sasha promised to contact her crew and give me an update. Here we are, two days later, and she has not yet called me. When I called her back, I got her voicemessage that said: "Don't call me to repeat a concern, I'll get back to you within 72 hours.' The voicemessage box was full and could not take additional messages. This was another sign that this company will not shoot straight with customers. I left my house at 7:30 pm, not knowing what I would do. It was too late to find another company, and I couldn't even rent a UHaul to move myself. Soon afterwards I got a call from the crew. He told me they were on a very large job and could get to my house afterwards to pick up my things, but it was too late to deliver them to the storage facility because it was after hours. He did not have an estimated time of arrival, so we worked out he would come the next morning at 7 am. This breakdown in service was concerning because I had scheduled a walk through before closing on the sale of my home. In addition, I wasted an entire day on a move that did not happen! -The point is that ProMoversOC lied to me. -They were unresponsive. -They use multiple sub-contractors, thus they overbook and over commit. -They will drop small jobs, like mine, if there is a larger job. -The company lacks accountability. I had recently used Pro Mover's service for my local move. First off, when I was inquiring Diego explained everything to the detail nicely on the phone, even though I ended up calling him again asked for more questions, he was patient, polite and made all information clear to me. On the day of the move, I had 2 great movers, Frank and Ben, both did an amazing job within less time than I had anticipated! All was great except for some miscommunication regarding the payment. I called back Diego after the move then he listened my concern and he had addressed it with his supervisor. Few days later his supervisor, Natalie called me to apologize and offer me the balance to be refunded. Though the difference was only a little $$, it was not about the amount but to do the right thing. I was impressed with their professionalism since I know a lot of other moving companies who are just nice till the payment time and do not deal with any legit issues afterwords, however it was not the case with this team. Natalie arranged the check to be sent to my new home address which I received within a week. I really appreciate the fact that they were trying to do a right thing to correct the misunderstanding from the mover. We booked ProMovers in a pinch (less than a week before we were scheduled to move out) and they really pulled through for us in the end. Most of our boxes were packed, but we still had a couple at the very last second to pack. They arrived about an hour earlier than anticipated and they worked with us to take out the finished boxes while we busted ass to finish packing the last couple. Our movers (I forget their names, but I remember the company said it would be truck/crew 14) were polite, nice, and very helpful even in the 95-100 degree heat. It would have been nice to know in advanced that TV's need to be tested or in the original boxes before they got there. IE Before we packed up the remotes and were unable to test it. But the TV fit in our car so it wasn't a huge deal, just a minor inconvenience. I would easily recommend or use this company again. read more

The move was slow your employee Kyle was high when he arrive for the pick up and and the drop off at that time Pro Movers dropped and broke my new 52inch flat screen, scraped a chunk of wood off my Antique China Cabinet, bent and dented a $200 metal cross, snapped the leg of my desk. My son commented that's the 5th thing you've broke now your "Employee Kyle" came back with "Why don't you do it yourself then" so unprofessional he started arguing with my son and he claimed he was from the hood, Long Beach my son was trying to talk to him he screamed I'm being threated My son apologized and removed himself to not cause any more problems with your employee he was out of control. I was so livid I just wanted Pro Movers out of my house. The job had ended but Kyle still kept coming in and out of my house I had to ask him to get out now the jobs over he was upset because I told him that also I didn't like the move with Pro Movers on top of his attitude screaming he's been threatened and "Do it yourself comment" He was moving slow and walking around high. I mentioned this to Dan the crew supervisor I asked why is he even here? Dan said he was going to write him up and apologized several times. No one was at my house when Dan & I were talking over the outrageous bill. My son had left leaving just the 4 movers wanting to get paid I was harassed and scared by Kyle saying he was from the hood so I regretfully paid the $3000 to get them out. First time using a moving company and I had great experience. Movers Saul and Payden were quick and efficient. They wrapped everything and stacked things I didn't think possible to stack but they did it with carefulness. They took as much as they could each trip with dollies both up and down stairs as both apartments were upstairs units. They made sure not to drag any furniture and asked where I wanted things placed. Joe and Jesse were our dream moving team to help my mom move from one city to another 2.5 hours away. They were professionals, extremely friendly and had a great sense of humor. They made moving as stress-free as can be! They came prepared to do an efficient job of packing up several rooms, disassembling an IKEA bed and carefully hauling plants and trees. Joe even packed my mom's giant orchid, promising to protect it like herbaby. (Spoiler alert: it made the trip in pristine condition!) As my mom is very organized, they aimed to preserve the same high level of organization as they packed each box carefully. We talked to Diego the whole week and set up the time with him. We are mad about the service because it ruined our schedule when you guys were stuck in Irvine for over 2 hours and then call 2 hours later to give a call that they are on the way! They then offered to do it the next day for us between 9-10 to make up for it and Add an extra guy at no charge. next day the company still sent guys later than scheduled and without the extra man. I called to cancel and spoke with manager John Rose. He cared enough to keep my business and after speaking with him I ended up keeping my appointment. I received notifications prior to the move to confirm my appointment which was great. On the day of the move, the drivers let me know when they would be there. Almas and team did an amazing job. I called up Pro Movers when I needed to move locally within the OC area, and Joe and Donovan delivered what was promised. This two person team moved a 1.5+ bedroom worth of furniture and items down 2 flights of stairs and delivered to a location w/ 3 flights of stairs at the end of a long day, their second move for the day, within 4 hours. Impressed would be the word I'd use to describe their meticulous method of packing and careful transport of my items up and the down stairs. After pickup, they followed us as we drove by car to the new location and delivered the items to the 3rd floor quickly from the truck. When moving older, cheaper, Ikea-like furniture, they are, of course, most susceptible to nicks and damage, and it's simple common sense to expect this during any move. From talking to Davin and John who were easily reachable before the move to watching Joe and Donovan move my stuff out and over to the new place, I'm very satisfied with their work/service. I am glad a lot of people had a great experience with this company. I wish I did. It started off well for me until my belongings were picked up. From the estimated rate of $2,000+, it ended up becoming a little over $6,000, despite of the fact that I did a thorough inventory, as well as a video of everything that was going to be packed and moved. Anyway, they worked hard in packing the whole place. The real problem was when it was time to move. I gave them a number or days I am free to receive my stuff. We agreed on a set date. No one came on that day or called me. I tried reaching out to Gabriel, Azalea, but no one responded until then ENS of the day. We agreed on another date. Same thing happened. No one reaches out or returned my texts. The following day, I received a text from the driver. He said he will deliver that day. I said I couldn't receive it because I was at work and out of town. He said it had to be delivered and told me to find a person that can receive. I told him I can't do that.forward to the following week, I received a call from Brian. He said he can't delivery at a specific time and should be ready at any time they arrive to deliver. I told him I had to work so I needed a specific date. He said that wasn't his problem and I should be ready at any time to receive them for the next 14 days. I can go on and on about my experience with this terribly unprofessional company but the moral of the story is that you stay away from them at all costs. Company scammed me for roughly $150. (I also tipped the guys $200 each, not connected to anything I'm writing about.) Triple charged me for drive time rather than their double time for drive time. They told me they would only returned said money if I signed a non disclosure agreement. Preventing me from leaving a review on any platform. I guess that explains why their rating is high. People they scam have to sign a non disclosure to get their money returned. I guess this review is costing me about $150 but at least the information is getting out there. Side note: the workers did a good job. It was just the financial side of the service that was shady as heck. Best of luck! read more
