Friendly professional staff! Very small nail shop, so try to book an appointment ! Walkins are by luck, but usually it gets pretty busy. I ended up having extra free time after class and decided to do my nails. I looked around for a good, cheap nail place and found this place ! $20 for a manicure luckily they were able to take me in within 30 minutes after my call due to a cancelled appointment ! Just left this shop; I'm Blown away! I normally get my pampering done in San Francisco as it has always been my go to from my location. But with work and juggling life I stumbled on this little gem, since I'm in the Sj area a couple days out of the week. Gentle when removing the gel polish and lifted areas on my current set, and asked many questions regarding my comfort level. That's very rare to fine in most nail shops. This place is horrible, I'm not sure where to start. My friend booked an appointment for 2 pedicures. My friend was sat right away, but I was not started on until my friend was almost done - highly annoying. Either someone doesn't know how to book appointments or they don't give af. The place is dirty and ugly and it's located in a ghetto little strip mall. I am not fancy by any means and like "hole in the wall" type places, but this was just a whole other level. The lady started using one of the tools, she just used on me, to take the drain out of the tube. I saw a lady towards the back "wiping the tools off. This place is nasty!!! Then the owner walks in, sits right down for a pedicure and is talking very loudly on her cell phone. The girls aren't very friendly, the massage chairs are awful and didn't work and my pedicure was awful. 24 hours later the polish was "pushed" back on my toes, because the coat was so thick. Save your money and go elsewhere, this place is a nightmare all around! read more

It's gonna be a no for me, even though the lady is who picked up the phone was very kind and nice the quality of my nails for the price is gonna be hard pass. Full set with gel samples polish cost $35. First off, I clearly told them more than 5 times I was not interested in gel but wanted normal polish. When looking at swatches I asked which ones I could pick from.They gave me some to look at, But somehow I still ended with gel... I wanted to spend around $25 but ended up spending $35. Maybe it was miscommunication, maybe not who knows. I got stiletto nails and they are uneven. Bro that's already a hard pass, if you can't shape correctly then what are you doing? My nails are super streaky from the bottle of polish being close to done. The nail itself is already uneven and very lumpy due to excessive amounts of powder. They didn't cut or trim my dead skin and cuticles... Also they don't sanitize their tools in between customers like they literally handed over a file that was just used on me to my cousin. Wth.... To keep everything fair I did get my nails done on 12/23 the day before Xmas eve and they were crazy crazy busy. But I mean excuses are excuses. read more

This is the only place to go in San Jose or even San Francisco also for all that matters. I'm from the city and go out of my way to go to SJ just to get my nails done by them. Note only are they incredibly lovely and accommodating, they do an AMAZING job and are very REASONABLE. I just moved to the area and I thought I'd try out this salon since it had such great reviews. I got seated right away for my mani and pedi and two ladies worked on me at the same time, one for the pedi and the other for the mani. Cleanliness: they reuse the same tools on everyone. I did not see them take it out of a sanitized supply, it was just in a box in a cart and once they were done using the tools, it went right back into the same box. Quality: the mani/pedi turned out ok so far, but the process to get there was a painful one. They were so tough when they are working on the cuticles. I kept telling them that it hurt and they just laughed and said "thank you". Thank you for what? For me allowing you to hurt me? Even though they knew it hurt and my cuticles were bleeding, they still continued to be just as rough, digging their sharp nails into my hand to clear out the nail polish. My cuticles are still so sensitive and red the next day. I hope I don't get an infection from their unsanitary tools that they use for everyone. I just want a clean nail salon that meets health code requirements and does a good job. Is that too much to ask? read more

I am not sure why this place has so many good reviews. This is the worst nail place I have been to in years. When I entered there were 3 women. All the time none uttered a single word. They only opened the mouth when I tipped them. One of the person doing my pedicure was constantly on phone. The one doing my manicure was the worst manicurist I have met in years. She didn't treat me like a living human being. Poked with her tools and when I said ouch she had no sorry or didn't even stop poking me. I don't think she knew the meaning of gentle. Once she applied nail polish on my nails she didn't ask me if I liked the color or not. I don't think she put the same color I asked her to put. I did gel nail paint and once done she didn't apply alcohol on my nails. When I asked she said if you want I can do it but it's hot required. The other girl told her something in her language which I can make out that she was saying the same to ask alcohol but she told her that too it's not required. I get my nails done every 15 days and I have been doing it for years. I know what needs to be done and what not. Once it was all done she just opened up the flap of my chair, didn't speak a single word. When I got up and put my flip flops the pedi was wet and it got spoilt. The pedi lady gave me a look and did the worst retouching I have seen. 1. One it's a crappy, dirty place. 2. People are not professional. 3. They only speak money.
