Wake up and smell the roses. Literally. Project Bloom Coffee feels is a boutique coffee shop that sells beautiful indoor plants. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich and a latte. The first thing I noticed is that the sandwich had a perfect brioche without imperfections and soft scrambled eggs that were cooked to perfection. Beautiful egg sandwich! Staff is always friendly. The bloom latte is delicious, the taste of butterscotch is pleasant and not overpowering. They have decaf coffee which is a plus. I live in silverlake and i literally drive across town for this place. Found it opening weekend with my friend who used to live across the street and have been hooked ever since. Their signature drinks are so special and I'm always excited to try their seasonal menu. Plus, the flowers are beautiful and the aesthetic inside is so calming and pretty. But coffee and florals aside, the real standout here is the staff. Found out it was a mother and son duo behind it--son owns the shop, mom does the flowers. And all the baristas are so well informed, kind, and helpful. I come in when i'm having a bad day and interacting with anyone who works here always brightens my day. If you're ever torn between two beverages, they'll ask questions to determine what you like and suggest the best fit. Sometimes in LA when you find a place with really good coffee, the baristas can be uppity. That's not the case here. Everyone is warm, friendly, and really good at their job. I decided to get the iced lavender bloom latte and it was so delicious. I love how balanced it was. I'm so glad I found this little shop during one of my walks. In the past week, I've walked here three times, if that gives you an idea of how much I'm enjoying it. Drinks I've had a signature Bloom Matcha latte, a seasonal Spicy Churro latte and a Hojicha latte. Bloom Matcha latte (iced): The butterscotch cream top is super complementary with the creamy grassiness of the high quality matcha. I ordered this with soy milk and it was still rich and creamy. It was sweet but not overly so. Spicy Churro latte (iced): Slightly spicy but full of cinnamon-sugary churro goodness. I ordered this with soy milk and found it to be pleasantly rich without being too heavy or sweet. This latte should absolutely be on the menu year round. Toffee Nut Hojicha latte (iced): Another seasonal drink that I think could be a year round hit! I've never tried Hojicha before, so I have no point of reference, however, I LOVED this. The Hojicha has a nutty, toasty and earthy flavor with no bitterness. The toffee nut was sweet and a bit salty and paired well with the depth of flavor of the Hojicha. I got it iced with soy milk. This is a great option if you're sensitive to caffeine, as it has very little. Food I've tried the egg sandwich with bacon, the Kouign-Amann and the almond yuzu croissant. Egg sandwich: Probably THE best egg sandwich I've ever had. The potato bun is the perfect vehicle for the fluffy eggs, spicy aioli and cheddar cheese. We added bacon and it was fantastic. It came out piping hot and very fresh. Kouign-Amann: Flaky, buttery and crisp with caramelized sugar! It's like a croissant but better in my opinion. I didn't ask where they source their baked goods but they are GOOD. Almond Yuzu croissant: I love a good almond croissant and yuzu is one of my favorite citrus fruits. The croissant was generously filled with almond yuzu paste. This is a filling pastry and I could only eat half and saved the other half for later. Ambiance/Service/Value Cute little shop filled with flowers and local people! When I've been, I've noticed a lot of people walk here from the surrounding neighborhoods. It's been consistently busy when I've gone but there's been little to no line: it's just full of people enjoying their treats and being social. The capacity isn't huge but it's nice to go to a coffee shop where people are socializing instead of being stuck on computers and phones. The people who work there are friendly and the drinks and food come out quite quickly! I really like that they have a punch card for frequent visitors (buy 10 get one free) because it makes you feel valued as a customer. They have high quality food and drinks at very reasonable prices. To be able to get a latte with alt milk, a croissant and 20% tip for $18 is a great deal in an expensive city like LA. read more

This shop is truly something special. If you are looking for quality coffee with scratch made syrups, you need to add this shop to the top of your must-visit list. I started with an iced lavender latte which was fantastic. Made with fresh lavender syrup they make in house. The gentleman behind the counter then told us about their specialty bloom lattes and recommended the lavender butterscotch one. It was one of the BEST beverages I've ever had. Every sip was euphoric.
