I've hesitated to write a review because I've wanted to gatekeep Bloom for myself, but I'll be generous and share with the world that this place is extraordinary. I cannot emphasize enough the rush of serotonin I get walking into this gorgeous, flower-filled oasis and ordering the most delicious lattes while being greeted like family by James, his mom, Sunny, and the other workers there. I've been here everyday for a week - it's on my walk to work but it isn't the only option on the way - but it's the only one I think about when I go to sleep and wake up for in the morning. This egg sandwich is one of the best I've EVER had (trust the recommendation to get it with bacon ... and I'd even add avocado) - how is it both nostalgic and new all in one bite?! Wash it down with a refreshing matcha tonic and go for the gold with their made in-house butterscotch sesame loaf - and savor every bite of that otherworldly streusel topping (and why not get bonus points and pair that with an espresso?) The owners are in all the time and you can tell from the service and the high quality of the coffee, tea, and food that they are enthusiastic about their spot. And since I just mentioned how good the food and drinks or do I need to again? I am a hot, dirty, oat chai regular. Btw, the matcha is good too--not your regular blah too sweet stuff. Vegan cookies and the egg sandwich always hits the spot. They sell FLOWERS!!! Bloom, duh, right? Perfect if you are on your way to meet that special someone or just want to brighten home or office. I'm so glad I finally made my way to come to Project Bloom. It's a cute little shop that had a beautiful selection of hydrangeas. I picked some up for my friend since she was getting married and each stem was $5, which is a good steal. The matcha was sweet but not overpowering and so refreshing! Staff was very nice and attentive and a sweet lady wrapped up the hydrangeas in a bouquet ribbon. Such a delight. There's an overwhelming amount of cafe spots in LA, but this cafe is top tier and very memorable:) read more

This is the best place for coffee. The counter guys are so so nice and polite. The flowers are gorgeous and the communal table is welcoming. They have a beautiful rolls Royce of coffee machine from Italy that is Ferrari red! It makes the best coffee. I love the special bloom iced latte with caramel cream. Its so delicious, not too sweat, rich and strong! I love going here. This is a rare spot. It has it all! I haven't tried the food but it looks yummy. read more

I stopped by Project Bloom today and had one of the better Americanos I've had in a long time. The staff is extremely friendly and hospitable and even gave my wife and I a sample of the white chocolate oatmeal cranberry cookie which was absolutely delicious. We decided to try the egg sandwich as recommended by the staff and was surprised by how good it was. Eggs were perfectly fluffy and buttery, bacon was crispy and added a perfect salty crunch, and the potato bun was soft yet supportive. I would 100% recommend it! I wish I lived closer so I could come back more frequently! read more

Excellent cafe! You've got to try: Drinks: 1.) Yuzu-ade (refreshing cold, mildly sweet citrus drink) I seriously crave this when it's warm outside 2.) Horchata Latte (great on a cool day, but every time I go on a pick up run for my employees, almost everyone orders this) Food: 1.) Tuna Sandwich (Very good, perfect balance of big flavors. Big pieces of tuna with dill which goes perfectly with the hard boiled egg. The bread is fantastic and addicting.) 2.) Caprese Sandwich - (Nice big slices of very rich flavored tomato, not the generic wet kind that so often leak juices. This is one of the most solid capreses I've ever had. Thick pieces of soft mozzarella and just the right touch of oil and balsamic.) The great thing about the food here is that the choices are not your typical small portion coffee shop sizes that normally leave you wanting more. One sandwich and a drink is a filling lunch for a 185 pound man who can really eat. Great atmosphere, furniture and cool music inside. Very cozy and welcoming. I have gotten to know Jason and Simon who run the shop and you can see how much passion and excitement they have for the cafe and how happy they are to have you as a customer. This is truly a great neighborhood cafe. I have been coming to this strip mall for 18 years. Tere's, Inti and Mail Call are all places I frequent weekly. Now, the intersection of Melrose and Cahuenga just got even better. There is a whole lotta greatness in this little green roofed mecca of Larchmont. read more

I was just getting an oil change next door and needed to find a place to pass the time. Came on a Saturday morning and it's got a great vibe. It's a cozy neighborhood coffee shop. Got an iced americano and the flavors were well balanced and just overall very satisfying. Got the egg sandwich with bacon. I know I was really hungry but wow! Gotta say it's one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. At least while I'm here the parking seems to be a non-issue in the strip mall as well. read more

He's not much of a coffee drinker and usually gets chai but this made him fall in love with Project Bloom and their drinks! Having tried many many coffee shops in LA I can say I have finally found my go to spot. I've tried almost everything on the menu but my go to is the Bloom Latte (butterscotch cream latte), and the egg sando when I'm hungry. They also sell fresh flowers so if you need flowers I recommend you stop by while getting coffee. They have a parking lot so that's always a plus! read more

Shopkeeper was very polite/friendly, wears a face mask, and offered us free samples of the bread pudding along with our drinks. My carmel latte was delicious, definitely on the sweeter side. Just plain bad and outrageously expensive. Stopped here for a quick breakfast and coffee on a Saturday morning. Pros: 1. The place looks nice and cute. There is also a bench outside if (like me) you are still trying to svoid indoor dining. 2. The guy working there was really nice and was trying his best. Service genuinely good. Cons. 1. Espresso drinks are expensive beyond reason. An Americano (that comes with a single shot of espresso) costs $4.50. Each extra shot now costs $1.50. So if you want a quad Americano that would be $9 + tax. WHAAAAT? 2. Brewed coffee is just bad. We opted for brewed coffee instead of espresso. I got a hot cofee and wife got a cold brew. My brewed coffee was drinkable, but I would say definitely worse than Starbucks. Tasted like the coffee I used to make at home in college in my $20 Mr Coffee - no flavor at all. Cold Brew was super sour. Not smooth at all. Wife had to come home and dump some vanilla syrup in it to drink it. 3. Almond croissant ($4) was decent and a good size. Unlike most other places I've been to, it didn't come heated. Neutral: The egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was ok. It came on a brioche bun, had some fluffy eggs as well as cheese and a bit of hot sauce. We enjoyed it. However, at $8, that also seems a bit overpriced. This place is a new gem in the neighborhood. Delicious, well-crafted espresso, as well as the perfect egg sandwich - no better start to the day. Parking might be difficult as it's in a tiny corner but there's plenty of street parking off Cahuenga (watch for signs). The staff/owners are super nice. There's about 10 seats inside if you want to enjoy your coffee in peace. Less of a camp and work place and more of an oasis of excellent food and coffee to grab and go about your day. I often skip Larchmont and go here when I don't want to deal with the parking and traffic of Larchmont village. read more

This is the cutest café with some seriously incredible pastries. We had the chocolate croissant and bloom toast and they were SO GOOD. The toast is if French toast + pecan pie had a baby we also got the lavender latte and a mocha with lavender added. Their homemade syrup is delicious! Not too floral or "soapy" like a lot of premade syrups. And the two people working today were so sweet! They had a lot of great suggestions and just overall we're so kind.
