We have loved Promise Pizza for years but it's out of our way and no delivery to Hutto so we don't order as often as I'd like. Food is always excellent and I never get sick from my IBS like I do from everywhere else. Love feeding my family as much organic as we can and no added MSG or corn syrup. Today y'all almost lost us as customers but Manager Tyler made it right. Sadly it took me two calls and a heated Argument with "Mark" who was rude and refused my numerous requests to speak to manager claiming they were too busy. After multiple demands and after he tells me I owe him an apology for hanging up on him he finally gives me his own name. And finally he lets me speak to manager. All of this over me *wanting* to pay extra for a small side of pineapples for my son and Mark telling me I am not allowed to exploit loopholes. Insane!!!! Mark needs some customer service training immediately please. Or a different line of work.. Even though Tyler went above and beyond making it right (thank you, sir) I don't want my favorite pizza place to be one I avoid because I don't want to deal with his rudeness. Admittedly my fuse is short today as we lost my most beloved friend Gus, my big and beautiful dog on Wednesday and I am quick to frustration and grief. Recently moved to Austin from the east coast, and someone told me about this place for pizza. It's hard finding pizza places with halal meat for toppings. I went in with low expectations because I haven't really found a good halal restaurant here in TX. One day I drove by this pizza place and figured to try it out and ohhh man was their pizza delicious. Amazing pizza, and the meats are halal which is a plus! The chicken tikka pizza taste so good if you like something spicy! I have been there 2 times and never have been disappointed, even my husband and father in law loved the pizza which says a lot because they aren't really pizza lovers, neither am I but this by far was 1000 out 10!!! read more

They have been in business here for 10 years, they are one of the most highly recommended places in the area and they are WONDERFUL! I won't feed students anything I won't eat myself. Promise Pizza has a very user-friendly on-line ordering system, offers lots of choices- including gluten-free - and whole wheat, thin or regular crust. I choose restaurants based on Yelp! Reviews, and the Promise Pizza reviews are great. My math was right about number of pizzas to order, everyone was so nice and helpful, and under the pending new ownership they will begin to be open 7 days a week (currently closed on Tuesdays). So it's been a while. I've been poor and really Promise has quality ingredients but it isn't the cheapest pizza. So i've been cheating on Promise with someone else. Anywho, now that I have a big kid paying job I was like "ohhhhhh, FRESH pizza? PROMISE!" Long story short I got a meatball calzone and it was so good that I teared up a little. It put me in such a good mood that I let my 4y/o son decorate the Xmas tree. Don't even care that ornaments are only on the bottom third of the tree. That's how good my calzone was. We ordered delivery from them Saturday evening. We ordered a sausage and green olive pizza and green olive was annotated on the sticker receipt on the box. It had black olives, not green. So I called the store and the kid that answered had the audacity to tell me, "We didn't have any more green olives so we just put black olives on instead." They did this without bothering to call us and ask. I can't stand black olives. Instead of make it right and send out another pizza without the black olives, they tell me they sent their delivery driver home for the night and they would credit our account a free pizza for next time. At Promise Pizza, the flour used in the crust is organic as well as the olive oil, tomato sauce and Promise's gourmet cheese (mozzarella). Most of the veggie toppings and salad ingredients are also organic. We ordered a Hawaiian Pizza on regular crust without the cheddar cheese, and a Greenhouse Salad. The salad was huge, fresh and crisp and the Italian dressing was light and just right, not too oily. The pizza crust was good as far as texture, not too thin or too thick, not crispy and not doughy. The cheese was plentiful as were the toppings. Overall the taste was good. Kudos to Promise Pizza for making the effort to provide us with clean pizza. Clean pizza or even an effort for semi-clean pizza is a rarity. read more

I'm a gluten-free pizza hunter. I've had EVERY gf pizza in the Austin area SEVERAL times (especially when I was pregnant!). Aside from Brick Oven's (too far to eat often!) theirs is the best. The promise pepperoni is my favorite. The crust is chewy unlike that cornbread/cardboard hybrid most gf pizzas are made out of. The pepperoni is massive and the sauce is just right. Compared to most gf pizzas the price is very reasonable. Best of all? One night I forgot to ask for ranch with my pizza. We of course did not have any in the fridge. When the delivery guy showed up I joked about not having any ranch dressing. I took my pizza inside and literally three minutes later another delivery driver showed up at my door with ranch dressing. Not only are your gluten-free pizza's above and beyond any gluten free pizza I've ever had... they might be better than any other pizza I have had. No, no, don't gasp in shock. Just stuff a piece of gluten-free pepperoni pizza into your mouth and that aught to turn that open mouth gasp into a full-toothed smile. Not only does Promise Pizza make amazing gluten-free pizza, they also serve only drinks with cane sugar rather than high-fructose corn syrup. I don't know if y'all have heard, but the high fructose corn syrup is bad for you. I like that Promise is into the whole organic thing, and I like that they even drive eco-friendly cars to deliver their delicious goodies to my home, so that I may laze about in my jammies and eat amazing pizza. I also love that they have other gluten-free goodies (ie. brownies and cookies that I shouldn't be eating, but am glad I have the option to eat for those really rough days). Seriously. Yum. I regularly scoff at "chain pizza", but Promise Pizza is some good stuff! I'm a fan of the NY style of pie. Thin and chewy crust with a little "color" on the bottom, cheese that is slightly chewy, slightly salty, and good quality toppings. Folks, Promise Pizza is close to a 5-star fantastic pizza. The crust is thicker than NY style, but it is still pretty good. The sauce has a good balance of savory with a hint of sweet. The toppings were primo! (please folks, two toppings MAX on a pizza... any more and you can't taste what is going on) I think the great taste comes from the fresh / organic ingredients. This is a very good, very reasonably priced pie and I WILL BE BACK. Hmmm... Now I know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow! read more

I went there on day two, so I am going to reserve judgment, \ but here are some things I made note of thus far: Pros Close Cute Trendy big healthy size salads tasty dressings Hawaiin Pizza DELIVERY! healthy food in RR finally! Smart Cars deliver food to your home - how smart! vegan cheese, gluten free crust -even smarter Cons vegan cheese and gluten free crust are apparenty not cheap and cost extra which makes your already not cheap pizza - expensive. Seems as if the premise of the joint is a healthy alternative to Papa Johns or Pizza Hut, then don't make it so expensive to go for the healthy choice. Many in RR are not so into truly healthy eating anyway, so they are definately not going to add $7 for these healthy choices. And if they are not choosing the healthy stuff, why bother at all? They say on the website they are buying locally....I am hoping they mean shopping at the Round Rock Farmer's Market. If they are organic I would love to see them post a link and support this local activity. Whole Foods is great, but its pretty much a conglomerate now, so not truly local. Not a place to go alone, bc there are only Med and Large Pizzas Anyway glad they are here. Next time I'll bring the fam for a different persepctive. read more

Apparently so at the a place called Promise Pizza. WIth an overly oiled-up crust topped with a lackluster sauce and cheese, the pizza was boring and flavorless. Not worth the TWENTY minute wait for a PERSONAL sized pizza. I think i can make pizza faster than that and I'm only a chef @ heart. The cane sugar sweetened soda was clearly watered down bland to go with the flavor of the pizza. Although the owners were nice, I won't be seeing them again in that establishment. I've been a customer of Promise Pizza since I moved to the area and it's a difficult one to review. On one hand, the menu is great - the choices are organic and healthy - but on the other hand, uneven service and a diminishing value for money makes it difficult to enjoy consistently. My faves here are the wings as well as whole wheat crust pizzas. I've tried pretty much all of the specialty pizzas - the flavor is great, the ingredients all taste very fresh. This is not the same like a chain pizza. However, I don't like the artificial vegan cheese which had the consistency of caulking, and the long delivery times mean that recently, i've just driven to pick up my order. So here's where service becomes an issue. You can sign up on their facebook or web site to get specials sent to you. But if you call in your order and mention the special, often the person taking the order seems clueless. Example - I received an email to try the chicken sausage on a pizza. I called in and asked for the chicken sausage, and even after repeating the term 3x, the person on the phone kept thinking I was asking for 2 toppings - chicken, sausage. When I told her that I wanted the sausage mentioned in the promo email, that seemed to have her very flustered. I think Promise Pizza's menu is unique and tasty. I only hope that their unique menu, the organic ingredients, and the local business component don't get overshadowed by service issues. read more

My best friend was getting married, and there was only one thing she wanted (for her bridal shower): Promise Pizza. Like a good bridesmaid, I made sure she got exactly what she wanted. Pizza, and lots of it! For her shower, we ordered four pizzas: a Hawaiian pizza, a pepperoni pizza, a cheese pizza, and a vegan pizza with mushrooms and bell peppers. Overall, I thought all the pizzas were tasty, and I definitely admire their mission. The only one thing I had a complaint about was their vegan pizza; I thought it was slightly overpriced. We ordered a medium with vegan cheese ($4.95 + $2.25), added bell peppers and mushrooms for an extra $2, so it totaled out to about $9.25. $9 for a medium is not outrageous, but the pizza was super tiny, and there was seriously 4 bits of mushroom and 4 pieces of shriveled up bell pepper on the pizza. And there was barely any vegan cheese on the pizza. I definitely was not impressed with the vegan pizza, but thought the other pizzas were tasty. I don't think I'd go out of my way to pick up Promise Pizza again, but it's probably definitely a refreshing find out in Round Rock. read more

Yummy yummy! So, we chose to have dinner here last night after wandering around the town looking for a new place to eat. They have little smart cars for delivery. We walked in and ordered a medium cheese pizza on thin, wheat crust. My husband also tried the jalapeno poppers. The pizza was really thin and tasted good. According to the cashier, organic jalapenos are even hotter than normal. As promised, my husband broke a sweat upon first bite. I'll definitely go back and try out new flavors. read more

Easily some of the best pizza I've had and the quickest delivery despite being on the edge of their delivery area. We got a flier from them a while back and order at least a couple times a month. It's always hot and the ingredients are tasty. The drivers always seem to be if not a great mood than at least very up beat. I've yet to have a problem with them and I hope by writing this I'm not jinxing anything. The organic and healthier options almost make it impossible to order from anyone else, at least for deliver. Very good experience. Excellent tasting pizza and they have a drink fountain with "real sugar" sodas. This place will be a treat for the vegan folks out there as well. We have been going to Promise Pizza since it opened. It offers organic, all-natural pizzas. You can also opt for gluten free and dairy free cheese. The whole concept centers around something more, they have recycled products, pure cane sodas, eco-friendly ovens and smart delivery cars. That being said the pizza is awesome! I absolutely love the pepperoni which are huge and tasty sans lots of grease which is the norm. I finally tried the Hawaiian, which is out of this world. Imagine real chunks of ham and fresh pineapple! Delicious! They also have a great lunch special- personal pizza, two cinnamon knots and a drink for 6 bucks! All in all it's great products, great people, and a great concept. And my picky pizza daughter loves the pizza! read more

Organic pizza and each topping is $2...ok I'm sure it's worth it for that price. I can't have cheese so I always order my pizza without cheeses and put my own vegan topping at home. Its never been a problem, most places are generous with the toppings so my little homemade "cheese" is perfect. Well this $20 pizza was so skimpy on the toppings I had to remake the pizza completely! I drove 20 minutes in traffic, paid $20 and had to re make the pizza when I got home. What a waste! read more

Was very happy with my experience at Promise Pizza. Tried the Calzone. Asked them of it was possible to make it the same way they make their BBQ Chicken Pizza. They did and it was AMAZING.
