They are deep and very obvious/noticeable scratches that cannot be fixed without fixing the entire floor in the house, as it's all the same wood and style. I emailed them, called more than 3 times leaving a voicemail and messages with whomever answered the phone. I was told they would let the manager know, but I never received a response from anyone. At that point I figured it wasn't worth it. Then, fast forward to a few weeks, (now 2.5 years later), we find out we had a gas leak. The People's Gas repairmen came quickly and said they were shocked at how loosely the pipes for the water heater were put together! He showed me how he didn't even need a tool to take them apart! In two small twists the pipes were off! So apparently, for 2.5 years, we have had a gas leak and didn't know and are very lucky to be alive at this point. We have a child and have many family members and friends over! We are appalled! So, not only did this company permanently destroy our floor and act extremely unprofessional by totally ignoring us, but they almost killed us due to their negligence! Literally ANY company would be a better choice.

Aha! A person! Oh wait, that's a cardboard cutout. (This actually happened to me recently at a big box.) Finally, you find someone, and they tell you where to find the item in question. Only, the entire endeavor took way too long, meanwhile, the house is a mess while you're gallivanting the aisles. Enter Clark Devon Hardware. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted and offered assistance. Even if you are just browsing, others will ask you along the way. If you do ask for help, you will either be taken to the item or shown to a person who can help (as in, 'ask this person right over here,' who sees and waves). The team at Clark Devon is knowledgeable, kind, and no nonsense. They know you have things to do and places to be. They will be happy to help you and send you on your merry way. Clark Devon may not be the prettiest hardware store, and perhaps the big boxes may even have slightly cheaper prices (this is unconfirmed). However, it is my go-to for all hardware and home improvement needs, not only out of a desire to support a locally owned business, but because customer service counts for something too. If I am to offer one smidgen of feedback, it's that I wish they were open until later in the evening. For sometimes you come back from work and discover the closet rod has snapped in two, and you need parts to replace and fix.

They came back for a very small drip that was happening in my kitchen sink (the old drain wasn't attaching properly) and not only fixed that but stayed and looked at aome other things that were giving us some concern. No wonder these guys have 5 stars when I pulled them up on YELP. They will definitely be my go to plumbing and sewer guys from here on out. Very few companies have customer service as their top priority and after dealing with these guys on multiple occasions, I think these guys have it right.

They were initially very responsive on a weekend evening where our boiler had no heat. The tech…read morecame out and said a part needed to be replaced. He gave me a very expensive quote (almost $1000 including the initial service call) but I had no choice - it was an emergency. He came back a couple of days later with the part. Over the next few days the heat went out intermittently. They came back out and said there was nothing wrong with the boiler and it might be the thermostat and that they would get me a quote. They never did. I had another heating guy come out he found a loose connector in the boiler. He fixed it and that took care of issue. It was a $200 fix and was likely the problem to begin with since the symptoms before Salazar "fixed" the unit were the same as afterwards. I also had Salazar come out to give me quotes on installing heat pump systems and they never sent the quotes nor replied and I followed up about them.
