Check your units! Theft is an issue. LOCKS ARE BEING BROKEN AND CHANGED. Tens of thousands of dollars of personal property was stolen, the property manager was more worried about a bad review than pulling video footage. More details to come hopefully! At the store level, public storage does not care. Hopefully corporate will.... Has anyone else had issues with theft? read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I've had a very frustrating experience with Public Storage, and at this point I am expecting corporate to step in and resolve this promptly & properly. On April 2, I made a manual payment of $53 after being told autopay did not go through. On April 6, I made a few calls to the property however, no one answered. I went in person to confirm the payment was received. The manager, JP, told me everything was processed and my account was fine. Now on April 15, I'm being told that same payment was returned for "insufficient funds" and I suddenly owe nearly $100 in fees. This is inaccurate. I had over $300 in my account at the time, so there is no valid reason the payment should have been returned. If there's proof needed I do have bank statements proving there is no reason the full payment shouldn't have been taken out of my account. What makes this worse is the lack of communication: * Calls go unanswered * Voicemails are not returned * No one follows up unless corporate is contacted * In-person, no real solution is offered I have been proactive every step of the way--making the payment, calling to confirm, verifying it in person, and trying to get answers. Despite that, I'm being charged fees for an issue that is not my fault. At a minimum, all late and additional fees should be waived, yet JP says he's unable to unable or unwilling..... despite proof of funds at that time he was not at all understanding and gave a generic we're sorry you feel that way. I'm sorry you don't like your job sir! Given the inconvenience, misinformation, and time I've had to spend resolving this, I also expect appropriate accommodation, such as a rental credit.i This situation reflects a serious lack of accountability and customer service. I would strongly encourage corporate to review this location's management and processes. read more

While the people that work here are great and very nice, This place is infested with bugs. So many spiders, roaches, etc in our storage unit and all over/in our boxes and belongings. I understand that bugs are inevitable no matter where we are, it's disgusting the amount of spiders and roaches that were all over our belongings. read more

This location never has any carts available regardless of what time we either want to drop off items or remove items. Rent has steadily increased but the amenities are not any better. Also - the elevator is extremely small compared to other storage facilities. read more

Public storage took over 3 days ago and the rate has raised twice in 3 months. Ridiculous!

supposed to open at 9:30am, as of 10:08 am still not open. Do not try to plan your day around their hours. bet they close on time though.

I've used self storage units off and on for about 25 years. This is my favorite storage facility of them all. I had a unit here at this Grand Parkway location for nearly two years. I emptied it out a couple weeks ago (moved) and closed it but decided I wanted to get a much smaller unit for my needs, close to my new neighborhood much closer to Houston. After visiting three locations I was convinced that I was spoiled by my recent location. The other places had gates, with you having to get out of your car to put in your security code. Then driving around to find your building. No carts available. Sensor lights that wouldn't stay on after a minute, leaving you looking at your space in a very dim environment. And these were just a few examples of my disappointments. After experiencing those other public storage facilities, I went straight back "home" to the Grand Parkway location for my smaller unit. I would rather drive almost thirty minutes to use my home storage facility. There is no gate. You pull right up to the loading door. This place has one giant building with one entrance and with five floors. There are about five large flat carts to haul your stuff to your unit by warehouse elevator. You enter your code once in the elevator which will only take you to your floor once signed in. No code needed to exit. It's so easy to dump a handful of boxes or seasonal items. I'm in and out in a matter of minutes. With my disability, I would never have been able to deal with those other location's situations without a bunch of frustration. And there's always excellent customer service (lately in masks). My recent experience was with Mary. She was wonderful and even found my new unit a few doors down from my daughter's unit. (I brought her over shortly after I found this place. She was so happy from the extreme upgrade for less money!) All this to say I highly recommend this Public Storage location! read more

Facility is starting to show signs of disrepair. Only 1 elevator working this day. Insufficient carts available. Evidently done security issues. Front door had to be unlocked every time someone needed to go in the office. read more

Ms. Carolyn was a delightful person to meet and talk with. I had gotten lost and while I was there asked about storage prices. She was so very helpful especially since I didn't know anything about the area. It is very seldom that I have met anyone that could hold a pleasant conversation. She is a rare gem in my opinion since I relocated from a very small rural area to Texas. Thank you for having such a wonderful person that don't mind helping with a smile. read more

I had a great experience at this location! I made my reservation online and was called the very next day to continue completing the process. When I came into the facility we had everything completed in minutes! Awesome customer service with Gina!! The building is clean, elevators large and all working and the prices are reasonable!! read more

Love going to storage facilities? Neither do I... especially when I have to spend money. HOWEVER, Keke & Gigi, the two ladies on duty when my mom rented her unit were fabulous! I had to keep rescheduling our appointment because my mom's appointments earlier that day kept getting pushed back... every time I called to make Public Storage aware we were running late Keke rescheduled me and was so sweet about it. They were very pleasant and accommodating to my mom who is suffering from cancer and relocated to Richmond to be closer to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Keke took us step by step they the process of installing locks, entering the facility etc. both ladies had the brightest smiles and wonderful sense of humor. BTW, the facility is really clean, plenty of parking. More orange dollies would be great , it seems some customers use 2 at a time. ZERO COMPLAINTS. 100% HAPPILY SATISFIED! read more

Property manager makes you come in office to sign contract even with contactless rental. My husband gets home 6 in the morning from work. But she still wanted him to come in at 8:30 with his identification. Which is why we did the contactless rental. And we explained this, and she still made us come in with. ID to sign contract I'm not sure if they get points for something like this, but when we couldn't, she? Restrict access. To the unit so we never even got a chance to move and and she still charged us the admin fee. Oh my God. WAIT, IT GETS BETTER, so he called and asked her to cancel it. So we go back online, and he makes another reservation for a larger unit the next day. She then calls him that morning and states that they are not OPEN for the day and that he should call and verify the price before making the reservation. She kept the door locked and would not let him in, but we took pictures of a car on property and her and one of the units that they store. All of their supplies in. So we ended up going to another public storage and rented 2 units. I would never recommend this location to anyone!!! I would rate this negative zero stars!!!!!!! Not to mention that she reeks of marijuana!!! It was just an awful experience all together!!!! read more

I rented my unit at the W. Grand Parkway location in Richmond about 8 months ago. I had the opportunity to meet and be serviced by Mary. She was very professional and the process of renting a unit was "painless"! I was in and out in no time. She set me up on auto pay, I receive a reminder each month prior to the due date. I have had no concerns, I've been to my unit many times, sometimes at night, I feel safe as it is well secured with bright lights at night. I would recommend them to anyone that's looking for good, clean, affordable storage. read more
