Delicious brunch place with excellent entrees, pastries, and drinks. It's on the eastern edge of Fremont East near Fergusons Downtown. It has a hip vibe with wooden furniture, small trees, and kitschy decor on the bookcase walls. The Internets highly recommended the porchetta sandwich and the Leche de Madre but apparently that was very stale information because those haven't been on the menu in a while. I got the Smash Avocado Toast and the Espresso Old Fashioned. The avocado toast was unlike any avocado toast I've had before. It's definitely not something you can eat by hand. There's basically a gourmet salad on top of the avocado toast so you'll need to use a fork and steak knife. The Espresso Old Fashioned was stronger and more bitter than I was expecting. If you enjoy sweet lattes, you may want to try something else but if you enjoy espresso and such, you may like it. I was too full to try the pastries but they looked incredible and delicious. Will definitely be coming back here
It's been a minute since I've updated review for one of my fave coffee shops. It's located in DTLV and I love the fact that there is a parking lot right next door so I don't have to walk too far. And I also love the fact that they have food and delicious coffee here. Came here with my intern for a coworking lunch. The line is always pretty long here and seats are always taken, but the vibe in here is awesome. We were able to find a spot and the guy helping us at the counter was great. It's an order at the counter and take your seat spot, and they bring you out your food, which is really nice. I ordered a matcha latte which was delicious and then the orange chicken bento plate. It was soooo good! Definitely my favorite and they give you so much food. It comes with a macaroni salad, rice, and regular salad too. It's definitely my favorite meal on the menu. We also got a cinnamon roll to share as well and a blueberry scone. Both were sooo good, too. Literally everything here is tasty. The wifi is also pretty fast and works well. I love coffee shops like this one. Great spot to grab breakfast or lunch and catch up with friends, or even just come to work.
I ordered the piri piri chicken sandwich, and while the chicken was juicy and flavorful, the pesto had a bit more of a spicy kick than I expected. Surprisingly, my favorite part of the meal was the side salad the dressing was so good that I think I enjoyed it even more than the sandwich. I also tried the coffee einspänner. The cream was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness, though once I mixed it into the espresso, I wished the drink had been a little sweeter.
I can't write enough great things about this wonderful cafe. It's a great place to take your time and enjoy yourself. The coffee is so good and the vanilla latte is made with real vanilla beans. The food is seasonal and the menu changes often. The pastries rotate as well and there are so many good things to choose from. They also occasionally bake bread and if you're lucky you can score some if you come early. Service is the friendliest and they bring everything out to your table. I love coming here.
I tried this place in the morning before driving out of town as I had stayed with a friend in the area. This is on Fremont street but a few blocks away from the tourist area. I was able to park right in front so I could keep an eye on my car which was good because there were some obvious drug users skulking around. I have mixed feelings on the place but I'd give it another try next time. There seemed to be a lot of locals in the mix and the funky, fun atmosphere with plants was great. They have a very appealing menu with eclectic offerings from breakfast burrito to loco moco. For some reason I ordered the curried egg salad croissant sandwich. it just wasn't the thing to get. the crossiant was on par with Costco and the sweet chutney was jarring as I didn't detect curry seasoning. Thing was, as I was eating it I kept encountering hard cold lumps which I figured out was butter. There was a lot of it, some quite large. I asked the staff if if this was normal. One guy didn't know but another guy told me "this isn't like egg salad in the Midwest". I'm not sure what midwestern egg salad is like which I told him, but it was obvious he just meant it to insult me which is really weird. Otherwise the service was friendly at the counter. One issue with ordering is that I didn't see a menu until I'm at the register where they have it on the counter so it just kind of picked from the items in the case that I passed in line. While I was waiting I saw some very nice looking plates with beautiful slices of their sourdough bread. I took one home and it was very good and a generous size loaf. So go ahead and try the place, just try to look over the menu first.
A cute cafe with really good coffee and surprisingly various options of brunch menu. Here for Saturday brunch after CES just over, expected for a long line, but it went pretty fast. The staff here are nice and efficient. Shalom is very nice and friendly. Love the smoked salmon toast here with mouthwatering salad (the vinaigrette dressing is great). The patty flavor is good but unfortunately overcooked and a bit dry. Gotta give the coffee here a thumbs up. Tried latte and mint and cream coffee, both are smooth and scrumptious. Pretty easy parking even on a Saturday. Will come back soon to their bento which looks soooo good from our next table.
Walked in and was transported to a calm, green, and eccentrically decorated place. The lattes are one size but smooth. I got the salmon toast and wow, the size alone shocked me. The micro greens were lovely just a bit overwhelming because they seemed to just be flopped on, versus placed with effort. Service was friendly and quick even for a bit of a morning rush. Look forward to enjoy my beans at home!
It tells you something when a coffee shop's food almost steals the spotlight from the coffee--lol. To be clear, the coffee is actually great, no complaints there. But what really catches you off guard is how good the food is for a place that's technically a coffee shop. Like... this is full-on café food, not an afterthought pastry situation. I had the loco moco and it's probably one of the best loco moco I've tasted it The vibe is industrial, busy, cool. Portions are generous, flavors are bold, and it's the kind of place where you accidentally come just for coffee and end up ordering a whole meal haha Asian girl verdict: Legit good coffee Surprisingly amazing food More café-restaurant than "grab-a-latte" spot
This is a wonderful spot for breakfast or lunch! I absolutely loved the garden farm Benny, full of flavors and sauces and color. The veggies were grilled with garlic and seasoning, the potatoes were crispy and the sauces on the Benedict went well with the arugula and sourdough. Loveeeee the sourdough! The biscotti was just soft enough in a perfect way and tasted so good dipped in the mint coffee. This place did have a bit of a wait at 130pm and it is an order and then sit establishment. Street parking was free due to being Sunday.
Sat in the cafe to read over paperwork - dense content made easier to absorb while surrounded by a zillion manekineko. Don't get stressed out about the line or a seat. Both are entirely less drama than you'd think. Little pour-over set is my beverage of choice. Bathroom is very clean and the handsoap is nice.
I have only great things to say to anyone who asks about Public Us! The drinks are delicious, hot or iced. The pastries are delicious, warmed or not. The service is consistently nice and super friendly. There is a good amount of seating, some communal tables and some two seaters. My favorites are a hot vanilla latte and a blueberry scone. I also recently discovered soft screamed eggs with a hot dark chocolate mocha. I recommend this place to anyone coming to Vegas. And if you happen to have any issues with your order, be sure to say something because they are so into making everyone's experience the best. Park in the adjacent lot and grab a validation skip on your way out. Enjoy, pretty much anything, as it's all delicious.

I can't believe I've never reviewed this place, the DTLV residents are so happy for this coffee shop. Great coffee and the food is delicious! My favorite is "Kyoto tower". Definitely a place I'd suggest all locals go at least once for breakfast or lunch even brunch! read more

Super hipster place! Got the garden Benedict and cappuccino and donut muffin (couldn't help myself!) The atmosphere and interior design is soothing and fun. It makes you want to stay here all day. The food was excellent as well as service. Definitely a place I would recommend and come back when I'm in Vegas. read more

How quirky ! Definitely reminds me of coffee shop style back in Europe! Really relax and cool atmosphere, the space is beautifully decorated. I enjoyed the diversity of cultures in the menu, the food is fresh, colorful and full of flavors. I can't wait wait to try more ! If you like beautiful, natural, carefully crafted good, this is your place! We got the traditional breakfast and the breakfast burrito. They were very large portions but overall amazing. Parking was okay, service was GREAT! Chocolate croissant was the best one I've ever had! read more

I eat here all the time it's a shame this is the first time I've ever remembered to take photos and post because every single thing I've ever tried here has been exceptional. The quality ingredients and care that go into the entrees and pastries at PublicUs is actually matched by the service. I've never once not liked the vibe of the people working in there everyone is super friendly and helpful. The coffee is on another level the concoctions they come up with blow my mind they have an espresso old fashioned that tastes exactly what you're thinking it tastes like it's incredible. Kind of a Cool place! The coffee was okay, not fantastic. The food was very rustic looking, which I actual like, although I'm not sure if that's a good way to explain the appearance of our dishes. Maybe the term "Right off the Farm" is a better phrase. I don't think there are any farms in Las Vegas though! So one of the staff members gave us a free cookie, because my breakfast was delivered to our table 20 minutes after my girlfriend received her breakfast. So everyone has a bad day here and there. I get it. The weather conditions outside were pretty unfavorable, meaning cold. Unfortunately, it was cold inside as well. No Fun when you're sitting in uncomfortable chairs. Okay, I'm done complaining. Overall, the atmosphere was decent, the staff members were pretty cool and the pastries looked amazing. Probably won't make a special trip to eat at this place again, but it's not too bad overall. read more

Anytime I'm in Vegas I visit PulicUs! The food and aura is amazing. While I'm there I honestly forget I'm in Las Vegas and feel like I'm transported to a local cafe is SF or LA. Anything you order here is going to be absolutely delicious! I've had the oatmeal, brekkie burrito, and some of their yummy baked goods. The music is tight and the vibe is right. PublicUs is such a great spot for studying and getting a nice hefty meal. Large tables make it easy to plop down for some computer work or studying. Overall, I love the location, rad staff, food options, and ability to study. This spot does get pretty busy, I must say, on weekends and week-day lunch hours. But you can't get mad at them for that! Staff always has a friendly smile on their face. They have so many large-portioned food options. I rarely know what to get, because it ends up being just too much food! I have enjoyed their waffles ad some egg dishes, and many of their pastries are super irresistible. The have some pretty fancy coffee, which is certainly appealing to some. However, the aftertaste of the coffee here is just a tad too strong for me. I love the development of downtown, leading to locally-run businesses. This place will certainly remain a downtown staple. read more

Super cute spot and has good food. Loved the atmosphere and the music. Cute decor everywhere and trees/plants inside. Staff were all very nice and helpful. I had the avocado smashed toast and the bread pudding. Smashed avocado was really good would definitely try again and the bread pudding exceeded my expectations. Came with friends and they loved their food too which were the chilaquiles and Brekkie Sandwich Supreme. We are from out of town but will definitely have to come back every time we come to Vegas. So glad I came across this place! read more

My wife suggested this place, so I took her there. It was a very pleasant surprise. Great setting. Very inviting. Food cooked to order. Pastries made fresh. I ordered the classic breakfast with Bacon and Portagese sausage and eggs with one scoop of white rice. I also ordered the waffles, straight up with syrup. I wanted to taste them as is. It was something special. A must try, and looks so deceiving. Until your forst bite. Delectable! Open from 7am to 3pm. A must do when your in the downtown Las Vegas area. read more

I had the most insanely delicious hamburger at PublicUs. It is SO incredibly juicy and has the most unique flavor that I am not sure if it is the kind of pickles they use or what but oh my goodness is it ever good! The burger also came with a very fresh salad that was lightly coated in a wonderfully tasty light dressing along with homemade potato chips. I cannot eat potatoes but the chips looked super yummy and they must have been because my friend scarfed hers right down. They also have some wonderful bakery items available. I got the Donut Muffin but I wish I would have gotten the Fruit Muffin which I will try next time! Be advised of their closing hours as I woke up craving the burger on Sunday but by the time I was ready to head out that afternoon, they were closing in 6 mins at 3pm. Another nice addictive is there is plenty of parking available behind their building. Often I will avoid downtown due to parking issues but parking is not a worry at PublicUs! This spot is located in downtown Las Vegas across from the new Downtown Ferguson! This place is such a nice, hip, kind of upscale (food wise) cafe! There is also a parking spot right next door which makes it super convenient for parking. When I first checked out this spot, it clearly isn't located in the best area - however, the city is doing an amazing job by making this area more family friendly which I think will make this spot even busier! There was a ton of seating options however I went Saturday morning so it was super crowded!! But I was still easily able to find a spot. The food is amazing, they have a variety of breakfast options and pastry options which all looked delicious. The coffee was almost amazing! I will defiantly be coming back here to try out more of the different food options. read more
Definitely a stellar favorite for coffee and delight lovers finding themselves downtown on any given day. I've had delicious avocado toasts here, salads with duck eggs, sloppy yummy roast beef sandwich and always amazing coffee or juice. I've taken so many people to check out the tiny dinosaurs hidden in this coffee shop. Their pastries always look fresh and delicious. And their place is very unique you never find a dull moment here. Canteen-Style! My friend and I dropped into Public Us Restaurant today for some grub and catch up! I didn't realize how far east this place is located from DTLV (it's closer to Maryland Pwkwy). After awkwardly waiting at the door for a few minutes I walked over to the espresso bar and asked for some help. The restaurant is cozy and very unique. The cafeteria style theme was a bit different from what I'm used to and I held the line up with all my questions which was a bit annoying I'm sure for the regulars but oh well. The cashier appeared frustrated by all my questions but that's to be expected with the style of restaurant. I ordered: Pesto Soft Scramble W/ Egg Whites $12 Highly recommend!!! Side of potatoes: The potatoes were amazing. Very crunchy and delish! Lemon Lime Green Tea (Terrible NOT recommended! It's sooo tart and had to be diluted.) Uncertain if I'd return but worth the "cafeteria" experience. read more
I honestly couldn't imagine leaving Las Vegas without stopping by here. It was the cutest cafe restaurant I've been in a while. Lots of places to sit, tons of greenery and plants, I love that they keep their baked goods at a glance and even have some of their meals out on display. The menu was broad and plenty to choose from for anyone. I got their breakfast sandwich with the warmest and fluffiest croissant type of bread with a medium egg and bacon inside; oh my god it was so perfect and so creamy. I love that their cashew milk is made in-house, but the coffee was a bit on the smaller side for a latte. However the taste the perfect and strong. Also I forgot what this pastry was called but it was sugary and crunchy filled with fresh strawberry jam. My. God. I would never pass that up, especially if you're craving dessert after a meal. More expensive, yes. At least for Vegas. Would probably fit right in, in Los Angeles. But none of the pretention. The baristas do look too cool, but don't make me feel like I need to be in order to patronize the business. Maybe that comes from the Hawaiian owner's vibe. The coffee is smooth and strong and comes just about anyway you'd like it. No matter the drink, the coffee remains the star. The teas are equally good. Food is also delicious and varied from normal Cafe fare. They have plenty of vegetarian options beyond the usual salad. Baked goods are delicious too. I rarely resist getting one. I recommend the donut muffin. Enjoy your time here. No rush to get out read more

I absolutely love the ambiance and the decor, let's just start there! The service is always spot on and the food is amazing! The avocado toast is a true true winner. I went there for breakfast this morning and I got the steak and eggs, another winner! The barista on the back section of the restaurants as so sweet he was very attentive and even took pictures for my friend and I when he saw us struggling lol I took a couple pastries home and the blueberry scone was Amazing! They do have gluten free desserts for sure but not made in a gluten free facility. I'm sure they would alter meals for you.

Staff has stated they do not post a special menu online.
Does this place have bottomless mimosas?
Yes! $20 everyday all day! :) They usually have the choice of orange or pineapple juice as well.
Can you bring your dog?
They have said only service animals are allowed. However, there is a patio and a small alleyway in the back where they are more welcome!
