My neighbor recommended Pure Clean, and I'm so glad that I chose them. Mickey was fabulous handling three flights of carpeted stairs and two bedrooms. The carpet looks great. But the most remarkable metamorphoses was Mickey's cleaning of the kitchen and dining room's light-colored, untreated hardwood floors. No product I used or tried (including plain old elbow grease) got them clean. It now looks like new flooring. Shady business practices. I had Pure Clean come out in 2014 and 2016 and they charged a reasonable rate both times. The recently called to say it had been awhile since I had my carpets cleaned and when I asked about the price, they reminded me what I had paid the times before. Then said it would be around that much. After moving all my furniture and planning my day around their 2 hour time frame, the cleaner arrived and presented me with a quote that was 33% higher than the price mentioned over the phone. I was in shock! I explained the previous price and he said there was nothing he could do, they had raised their prices and now based everything on square footage rather than rooms. After all that time and effort and now someone standing in my living room - I decided to just go with it. I immediately regretted being taken advantage of and called the office to see if there was anything they could do to remedy the situation. All I got was attitude, disrespect and flack. No offers to reduce the price so it came even close to what I was told when I made the appointment. Just a statement that there was nothing they could do. To be fair, my carpets turned out well and the cleaner was nice. But I will never use this business again due to their bait and switch tactics. This is one of 2 reviews for Pure Clean and Mike Stinson. This one involves cat pee removal, the second involves cleaning a very difficult area rug. First, I need to say, I am a recent customer of Pure Clean. Prior to using them, I used Chem Dry exclusively twice a year for years. I was drawn to trying them because their advertisements on the radio mentioned they offer restoring shower door glass, and deep cleaning hardwood floors. But, after my first experience with their results, I have switched everything over to Pure Clean. Recently, for Christmas, my kids received kittens as a gift. They were born on 8/26, and the last time Pure Clean was at my house for a whole house clean was just before Thanksgiving. Couch and all. Welp. Evidently, when you have 2 cats, particularly kittens, apparently they don't just go in their boxes. Especially when you switch foods or litter styles or whatever. YA. Fun times. They began using all our beds, and yes OUR SECTIONAL COUCH, and a specific spot on our carpet. Our house is 3000 sq. ft. with about 40% covered in carpet. (When the reign of terror was happening, it really felt like the cats were peeing everywhere, and it was only because Mike was very thorough in searching that we know for sure it was only one spot.) So, I have some enzymatic cleaner solution stuff I was using, and I was following along with the damage as best I could, but once they got the couch multiple times in 3 locations I was pretty much done and I just called Pure Clean and asked for Mike. (I've written other reviews about him before). My husband was not happy about this decision, but I did not want us all marinating in cat pee and turning our house into a litter box, so I pretty much didn't care how much it was gonna cost. So, the spots on the carpet were not a big deal. Not far from one another, so Mike flooded the entire area with their professional grade enzyme solution and then removed as much as possible after a certain amount of time and the cats have not returned (YAY!!). The couch was a much bigger deal. Mike thought he could work cushion by cushion in my garage, soaking them in a solution with giant garbage bags and then using the truck mounted extractor, remove enough liquid that it wouldn't make us at risk for mold growth or other problems, BUT, he was wrong. Our cushions were deep. And dense. And he was feeling like they just couldn't do the job, and he was trying to apologize and give my money back. But, then. Then! He called the main office, and thank God, they agreed to try to do it there. We got them back today, and they look amazing and smell great and I can't believe we salvaged a $4,500 sectional. It literally looks brand new. I am jumping for joy. Yay!! Pure Clean!! Woo hoo!!! ------------------------------------------------------------- Second Review OK, So Mike and Pure Clean also worked on a very large, very dirty area rug. We have 2 kids, 3 pets, and we often host our kids friends at our house, and I used to have an in-home daycare business. This rug is 100% polyester, and it's a very modern shag style, that is soft under your feet but is very stylish when it is not super dirty and disgusting and matted down like it is most of the time. And, the lady who sold it to me said it would be easy to clean since it was synthetic, but my kids managed to smoosh slime into it, which left a very large baseball sized, semi-soft smooshy bright green spot. Ya. Pretty. Essentially there's only so much a vacuum can do for this situation, and we had been living in our own squalor for who knows how long. The first time Mike saw it, he really urged me to get it cleaned by Pure Clean. I was not a believer, I think they had cleaned it once before, and I explained this, but he really sold some new equipment they had and said I owed it to everyone to give this a shot because the results could be much better. He even offered to take a ridiculous amount of money off of the price to compensate me for the inconvenience and to make it more attractive to give them a try again. So, I did. And WOW!!! Magical!! It's like the rug is brand new! Gone are the disgusting matted down areas. Gone is the bright green slime. Gone is the dog oil and dirt. I have my gorgeous rug back. I have to do carpool, but I will snap some photos of my couch and area rug so you can see too. I am so grateful they saved my gigantic investments in these expensive pieces of my living room. And we can all breathe a LOT easier now. read more

He walked through and measured and gave us a number that's was pretty close to what I had been quoted by phone. Our master bedroom and basement are quite large and we have three floors so I could understand the numbers being a little more. They gave us a discount for being repeat customers. Scotty spent 4+ hours at our house and given the pandemic we were all at home so we played a bit of musical rooms to stay out of his way. SLIPPERY ON PRICING! My neighbor in our community of tiny lots set back from the street used this service, and did me the favor of asking if they had long enough hoses to reach my house too. So when I called to schedule I was able to pass on detailed info on the hose length needed provided by their own technician. I made an appointment, but afterward, I realized they had not given me any pricing info, so I emailed and received this information: "PureClean developed 3 different cleaning packages for carpets starting out at $65 a room up to 150 sq. ft. each. Hallways are normally considered half an area (Depending on length) and stairs start out at $5 a step. You can customize your cleaning how you see fit, you do not have to stick with the same package throughout the cleaning process." I also had a coupon from my neighbor for free 100 sq ft. so figured I was good. Cleaning Day: I scheduled an 8am appointment because it was their first of the day, and I was assured the tech would arrive in a timely fashion, but he didn't show up until 8:45am, and when I called the office at 8:30 after receiving a "we're on the way" text at 8:10a, I was told it was an "8-9a arrival window." So that was frustrating. After the tech measured, he quoted me over $300 WITH the coupon to do a basic cleaning on two bedrooms (one of which had immaculate carpet) and a staircase. When I questioned the price, I was told there was a $100 fee for him "having to bring an extra hose because his truck didn't have one but the other truck did." After discussion with the tech and a call to the office, the price came down to $215--again, this was with a coupon. Rather than start over, I went ahead with the cleaning. Note that six hours later my carpets are still wet, despite their claim of a fast-drying service. Another "after the fact" piece of info was the tech telling me on the way out that the carpets might dry "kind of slow" because of the longer hose length. Afterward, comparing notes with my neighbor, she was charged nearly $300, the reason being that the tech insisted on counting her two bedrooms as three rooms. (Our homes are identical, and the bedrooms are larger than 10x10, but smaller than most master bedrooms.) So we both had the experience of (1) no pricing transparency up front, and (2) the technician finding a reason to jack up the price. I called Coit to compare, and they were very straightforward in quoting me a price below $200 for two rooms (each of which could be up to 300 sq ft.) and the stairs.
