Probably in my top 5 favorite coffee shops. It's located in the lovely neighborhood, Redondo Beach :) There are some parking spots, which may be filled, but there is street parking as well. The owner is so kind, and he does an amazing job with his drinks! I ended up ordering a chai latte, which wasn't overly sweet at all :) The interior is extremely lovely, and it seems like different exhibitions come up per month depending on the artist. The feel of the coffee shop definitely makes me think of quaint coffee shop's I used to visit when living in Seoul, Korea. I highly recommend anyone visit here if you're looking for a coffee shop to visit in Redondo Beach! read more

I like to support Mom & Pop shops... and this is a great place! The Co-Owners, David & Sujin have put their hearts into thoughtfully decorating the interior. The tables are custom made and are unique! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the white piano and matching bench. Who will entertain us?? We came here mid-morning and there was plenty of parking. If the other businesses are open, it will, of course, be more difficult to find a spot. There is free street parking, so that's an option as well. I wanted an Iced Latte Coffee because it was beginning to get kind of hot outside and I needed to cool off. One friend got hot tea. I love how it was served! It came in a small glass pitcher with a cup without a handle. The other got a Mocha Latte with a nice little heart flower on top. It was served in a brilliant blue cup. David, told us that there is real chocolate shaved and melted into the drink. I need to try that next time! I will have to return to try a Drip Art Coffee, too! David, the Barista, made our beverages and continued to make sure we were pleased with our drinks. Not only do they want you to enjoy your drink, they want you to make yourself comfy. WiFi is provided, so you can leisurely stay a while and relax. The one thing I might have missed seeing would be places to plug in your electronics. Another Yelper said "Outlets are plentiful here", so I must have just not seen them. There is a nice spacious restroom, too! I like the inventive bell they created. Check it out, it's a glass with a spoon and the note says "Ring & We'll Get Here". Each month or so, they feature a new artist and their works hang on the walls. The art adds to the decor on the walls and it helps the artist. Win/win! There is a nice assortment of coffees and teas on the menu. They also offer a Granola Bowl, Fruit Bowl, Toasts, Sandwiches, and a few things for the kids. Come give this place a try! It may become your next favorite spot! read more

Well I don't know where to begin. . . This was the BEST cup of coffee I have ever had! I want to give Pursue Coffee 6 stars if only it was possible. I feel like I should go back and take a star away from every coffee shop I have reviewed! That's how much I enjoyed this place. I ordered a flat white and I have never seen a coffee made with such care and precession. I was truly watching an artist create. The result was the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted. I also sampled a vanilla latte that was fabulous. They make their own vanilla syrup which really came through in the flavor of the latte. OMG good!! The service here is the best; the couple that owns the shop are so genuine. They sincerely care about your experience in a way I have never experienced in a coffee shop before. The shop is decorated in a simple but comfortable way that makes you feel welcome. Pursue is the BEST coffee shop in the Southbay, the whole Westside! A piano-playing barista... We had some time for a pick-me-up, so we looked on our Yelp app and found this oasis in Redondo Beach. I liked the name of the place and when we had free parking right in the front, I knew I was going to have a great experience... Pursue Coffee is simple, beautiful, contemporary elegance. This cool shop opened about two months ago and is doing quite well. The decor, the service, and the coffee are all well done! It's high quality all around! The owners took the time to explain what this space used to be and how they transformed it with their own vision and hard work. The marble, wood, and little details are visible signs of their dedication to their new business. In their humble way, they ask how customers like their order and if they need anything else - for example, I was offered sugar to tweak my latte, but it wasn't needed. The pair of owners are so thoughtful, friendly, and sincere. I feel like I want to go back to their shop to visit them again! I had a Mocha Latte. I could taste the REAL chocolate that was melted into the coffee. The slight sweetness was just right! My friend had a special tea which was excellent in presentation and flavor! My other friend had an iced coffee which was perfect on this summer day in July! Overall, this is the best coffee shop in South Bay because of the artwork that local artists display and the live music happenings on certain days. What really sets Pursue apart is the staff. Incredibly hard working yet always making time to learn your name and ask how your day is going. A coffee shop unicorn with a solid 5 star horn, huh? I came here with the only the expectation that it's gotta be at least a decent place for a cup. I left realizing this place has earned the rating. It's a phenomenal little shop that excels at everything they do. The think the customer service here is enough to earn 5 stars alone. The owner and his wife truly pour their heart into everything. Every single thing they create is treated like it's their child. I saw this with every customers order. The attention to detail, kindness and love is unlike anything I've seen at a coffee shop. Nothing here is rushed. The drinks take time and it's definitely worth it. You can taste the quality. I was checked in on so many times I lost count. I was given great recommendations down to what milk goes best with a particular drink. The barista even knocked my finished cup against the counter to help remove any large bubbles. He wanted it to look perfect. He does this to every drink. These people really care about the pursuit of coffee. Egg Salad Toast - Hands down the best egg salad I've ever had. What is this made with? Look at the picture, it's literally yellow on bread. So simple yet I was blown away by the depth of flavor. The eggs were so good. It had a slight sweetness to it because they put some honey in it. It reminded me of the egg salad from Eggslut which also uses honey. Except this was beyond slutty. This was like the top trending Pornhub search on Valentine's Day slutty. I inhaled this dish. Vanilla Bean Latte - A delicious latte made with real vanilla bean. There's no syrups or flavoring agents used here. It's the real tasty deal. Chocolate Chai Latte - This is the first time I've seen this combination and I enjoyed it. The bold chocolate flavor paired well with the spicy chai. The chai mix is housemade and they use high quality, fair trade dark chocolate. I found it all very tasty. They offer pastries, sandwiches and a revolving menu of special dishes, such as the egg salad. A customer behind me started recommending everything to me when she heard it's my first visit. The place is clean and well lit which makes it a nice place to work or relax. Another little detail I noticed was a lovely picture on the wall of a pair of hands playing the piano. Turns out it's the owner playing the piano in the corner of the shop. A customer took the photo. They take pride not only in the food but their customers too. Enough to frame a nice image from one and display it prominently. I like seeing stuff like that. I will return to Pursue Coffee! read more

Such a polite South Kcouple that runs this place! I love it here. The coffee is superb, as is the avocado toast that has an abundance of crushed ripe avocado with sprouts on top. They are serious gourmands here and make each order with care and kindness. Stopped by for a mid-morning coffee on a Wednesday. I was so pleasantly surprised by the coffee made here. It seems like a very small mom and pop shop run by the owners, who seem to care a lot about their customers and the coffee they make. They brewed each cup of coffee individually, which yes is a little time consuming, but they hand craft all of their drinks with designs along with that. They have plenty of options for you to select from. From your basic lattes and americano to fancy lavender drinks and specialties! I ordered the vanilla bean latte, which was light and frothy with real vanilla bean incorporated into the drink. So the owner told me "don't get alarmed with the black specs in your drink! It's made with real vanilla bean in house." They are great for customer service and treat all customers with great care. The only downside is the location's parking availability. It's a little hard to find parking in their plaza, but we were able to park right in front on the street. So other than that, it was a great experience. I will be back in the future :) read more

The drinks and pastries were good! I had the gluten free blueberry muffin which was really delicious. I don't normally choose gluten free items, but this one was so yummy. There is some seating inside with some tables outside as well. The parking lot is tiny and off of a busy street which can make things a bit tricky, so plan accordingly! On top of the good food and coffee, the service was just outstanding. Everyone was SO kind and helpful. As a current coffee snob and former San Franciscan, it's great to have a local shop that pays attention to the important details. Better still, they the only local coffee place to bring in their beans from Four Barrel--one of the finest roasters in the Bay Area (and one of my favs). Needless to say, their espressos/cappuccinos and drips are outstanding! They were very into the care and craft, and the coffee shines. Their interior is cute and homey--a nice place to hang out. Ordered 6 shots on ice and the espresso is amazing! I know I have stepped away from the craft espresso scene for a little while but this place has made espresso I haven't experienced before. Light acidity and a sweetness I have not experienced from espresso. Flavor profile was on point and a beautiful blend of South American beans. Brought out flavors from that region, I never knew was possible. I appreciate the attention to detail and effort in crafting the espresso shots.
