I don't usually write Yelp reviews on my dentist... but this one is deserved. Craig Pursuit, DDS, is truly a gem. First of all, he worked with my schedule and saw me after work with extended hours -- which, as a busy mom and business owner, meant everything. That kind of flexibility shows he actually cares about his patients' real lives. He has that fun, easygoing, cool California vibe that immediately puts you at ease. No stiffness. No weird dental pressure. Just a genuinely kind, skilled professional who knows what he's doing and makes you feel comfortable the entire time. It's rare to find someone who blends expertise with personality this well. If you want a dentist who is great at his craft and makes the experience feel relaxed and human, Craig is it. Two people I know referred me to Craig Pursuit and I wish had never come to this office. I'm devastated! Dr. Pursuit pushed me into having a filling on an upper left tooth that was not bothering me. During the procedure he made my gums bleed so badly and said he could not see. Following the procedure, my tooth looks awful like its falling off and gum above is sore and may not go away and now I am scared it will spread. Prior to this bad experience my tooth felt fine and never bothered me and the gums looked fine. Also, I was not offered glasses for the procedure and had cataract surgeries. Moreover, Dr. Pursuit never bothered to read the several pages of health issues and he hit a nerve causing my arthritis and gout to flare up on my left side arm, leg and foot. And the arthritis came back in my neck. Even though they offer monthly payments, the prices are high and it is not worth ruining your health for a couple of hundred dollars, which I would fight in court if necessary. read more

This dental office has so much potential. The hygienist is one of the best, she is very thorough and knowledgeable. Dr Pursuit is like a dad type very warm and caring. I had a dental implant done there and he took the time to educate himself on the procedure to make the installation of the tooth painless and successful. However despite all these positive aspects of care unfortunately I will need to find another dentist because the front desk biller is the worst. I have a PPO dental insurance which this office takes but nonetheless this woman will take my card and try to bill me cash payment as if I had zero insurance coverage. And I have to remind her that I do in fact have insurance and she needs to give me the price set for my delta dental insurance plan and to bill me the difference and I STILL get a bill for full charge for a cleaning and my insurance doesn't get billed at all! I'm beyond frustrated because this has happened more than once and it's like "oh yea let me bill the insurance " and she never does until I call and have to get angry. It's sad that one person can ruin an entire practice and force good honest patients out. :( read more

The staff was amazing from the moment they answered the phone. A true breath of fresh air. Immediately scheduled me for a same day appointment and I'm confident she felt my pain. Confession: Even though I am in my twenties, I am scared of visiting the dentist. After seeing an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians where Kim persuaded Lamar Odom that he needed to see a dentist, I decided it was time. I seriously can't remember the last time I stepped foot in a dental office. Today was my first appointment with Dr. Pursuit and it was as good as a visit to the dentist can be. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. The teeth cleaning part was uncomfortable and my gum did bleed. The oral hygienist, Michelle, was very warm and attentive while cleaning my teeth. Dr. Pursuit came afterwards and immediately engaged me in a friendly conversation. I had a hard time keeping up because he talked so fast! What a knowledgeable yet funny guy! The front staff was also very helpful and patient. This sounds weird, but the interior was homey. I felt calm and comfortable.
