I absolutely loved my experience here! Check in was easy and my partner and I were relaxed and glowing after our three hour stay. We loved the Vichy showers, Saunas, steam rooms, infrared beds, and especially the warm pools overlooking the city. Some areas were a bit crowded (though not overwhelmingly so) but we just came back later. There were plenty of towels, but it was a bit tricky to keep track of the bathrobe because they all look the same. The only things that weren't perfect were the fact that they don't make it clear that you can only have drinks in certain areas which don't include the "relaxation areas" and that some of the relaxation rooms seemed a bit unnecessary or awkward (one had several double mattresses on the floor and not much else). However, the dressing room and shower was luxurious, the views were incredible and the experience was unlike anything else I've experienced. Would return again and again! read more

Also, there was a relaxation room, lounge room, infrared room to name a few. Another room where the decor is upside down and they recommended you stay in that room for 30 minutes. Nothing special. If you are there for instagram photos then fine, but nothing relaxing about it. I went with my husband and the rooms were so crowded, there was not enough space in each room for us to enjoy together. We stayed in one sauna room for 20 minutes and decided this wasn't for us. We had asked to cancel our overpriced 25 min couple massage and the lady at the front desk said sure. She did not mention until the very end that we would only be able to cancel, not refunded. After speaking with the manager, they refused to give any money back. We spend over $500 on this place to be disappointed several times. The only good thing about this place is the view outside by the pool. Oh, the pool water is not warm, and there were no hot tubs. We ended our stay by doing the massage and there were 2 men for my husband and I. Nothing note worthy about the massage. My husband received a hot towel during his massage and a very different massage than I had. Overall, this place is 0 stars for me and we will never be returning. read more

It is expensive and they do not cater to you. There is an entrance fee of over $100 per person for access to the spa, pools, etc. There is no waiter service; you have to walk to the bar to get drinks and food. You are not allowed to eat or drink near the pool. You are not allowed to keep your towel or slippers near the pool. There are VIP reserved seats that you are expected to pay extra for to sit on, otherwise you have to sit on uncomfortable beach chairs that are a long walk from the pool. There is no music at the pool area, no relaxing spa sounds- complete silence. If you pay for a massage you still have to pay for an entrance fee. They time your entrance and exit and will charge extra if you are late to exit. Lastly, and most importantly they are not inclusive or accommodating to handicapped. The locker room has the bare minimum. I have been to many spas in NYC and they do a greater job at accommodating their customers. The spa was okay but the up charge for the cabana was not worth the money . I paid for a day pass with a cabana. I went for my wife's birthday . The cabana was not worth the money . It comes with a guest assistant but they were never around . I would click the button and it would take them forever to come . One assistant got mad at me because I clicked it multiple times while waiting for 10-15 mins for someone to show up . I ordered the curry chicken wrap . That has made me sick . Nausea all last night and into today . My I think the food was spoiled when served to me. The day pass and the saunas weren't bad but I feel robbed for the up charge . The sauna/ food package glass of Prosecco champagne (from a $13 bottle ) was not worth the $320 up charge for the cabana . Complete shame poor service for the up charge . The salmon salad was not good either my wife didn't even touch it so luckily she isn't sick . I ate half of my curry chicken wrap and now I'm paying for it . I will never go there again . If you go only pay for the 3 or 5 hour session . Don't eat any of their food either read more

Beautiful place! We went on a very cold windy Saturday night so it wasn't very busy. The saunas and relaxation rooms are cool, as is the bistro. Too bad the outdoor pools are not open yet. They lose one star, however, for having terrible signage and for not giving us clear directions or the layout of the spa once we left the dressing room. read more

Absolutely fabulous!! As soon as you step into the facilities everything feels luxurious. The views are unbeatable and the pools were warm and lovely. We went on a Friday and it was not too crowded. Get ready to overpay for food and drinks, but otherwise a fantastic "treat yourself" day. Took off one star because they ran out of birthday gifts and because the menu is so insanely over priced. Bring your own snacks/alcohol, nobody checks your belongings by the pool!!! read more

The facilities are lovely (especially the steam rooms and foot baths!) as are the staff, but it felt more like a country club than a spa. If you are going for tranquility, avoid holidays and weekends or stay away from the pool area and cafe. I was particularly disappointed with the food selection after having high expectations from the website - it is very very overpriced and very low quality. For an establishment promising relaxation and a health reset, I would expect food to be part of this. I would suggest they try bringing in local chefs (like a pop up), offer fresh smoothies, and perhaps grow some produce on the property or partner with local urban farms to serve fresh salads and other vegetable forward dishes in the cafe. I would also suggest they serve on washable dishes (vs throw away) and focus on alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages that promote calm and relaxation (wines, CBD cocktails, euphorics etc). Overall, it was an enjoyable day and I would give it another try but will be bringing my own food and avoiding busy days. read more

first let's start with the things I liked: location-fun to take the ferry over/made for a nice part of the experience 2) dried fruit/snacks/water by the massage area 3) views now....things my group did NOT like 1) terrible customer service. staff did not greet us, just put out their hands for our ID's as if at the airport. staff did not provide any orientation to the facility. staff did not tell us that bathing suits were available for purchase. front desk staff was not at all friendly. staff were inconsistent about where we were allowed to take food 2) robes were cheap quality, too short, and no pockets. thong flip flops instead of slides 3) facility is cold. we had to ask staff to turn on the fireplace in the fireplace room 4) apparently there was a whole sensory experience that no one told us about 5) too crowded!!! too many people provided passes/facility access and saunas and especially foot baths were crowded/wait in line my group travels annually for a girls weekend...we go to spas all over the country. this was the worst experience in 8 years. for this price point we expected top notch service...we got bargain basement Service. Horrible experience! The goal of a spa is to present a relaxing experience for customers. Instead, the check-in process is unnecessarily confusing and overly complicated. The spa also offered a birthday promotion, but then refused to honor the promotion when my friend arrived. The staff here is not at all helpful and I regret my choice. If you're looking for a nyc getaway without the worries of money, then this is your spot. The massages are pricey but so worth it with their well established therapists. The rooms are reminiscent of Alice in wonderland since they each have their own personality. The one downside i would say is the price and size of the "bistro" - $18 for a drink and $24 for a salad is comparable to prices you'd see at Barclays or MSG and the quality was to be honest sub par. I would recommend to the facility to allow the gender of your therapist especially as a woman I would like to have the choice if a guy or woman massages me, it was offputting that I had a man without any consultation and have more towels available throughout near the pools. Also if you call the main line, no one answers the phone. Truly the only way to get through to the facility is their email. Lastly, get the day pass, you'll spend more time there than you think and don't forget to visit the aqua level! read more

Booked a couples massage for my wife's birthday surprise with a governors island glamping experience. We were notified the night before that our massage therapist was sick and had to cancel our reservation? When I asked if my wife could keep a single massage assuming there would be 2 massage therapists. they kept me on hold for over 10 minutes probably scrambling for another excuse. And they said that was not available either. Be careful they must use an octopus to give a couples massage. Very shady will never recommend or ever go back. read more

The spa and views are beautiful. The reason for 1 star is because of overcrowding and massage. Perhaps a weekday is more serene (i came on Sunday) but we found not enough lounge chairs, long lines for food / drinks & crowded locker rooms. The massage I had was so TERRIBLE that I left in middle (never have I ever done that). So disappointing for such an expensive massage. Also, the manager of the spa couldn't really care less. In her broken english she said sorry and offered me a drink. My suggestion is: come during the week and don't bother with the massage just enjoy the spa amenities (and views). read more

Terrible experience, horrible customer service and extraordinarily expensive for very few services. My family was looking for a nice spa outing to celebrate my sister's birthday together. I suggested QC NYC because it looked very high end and luxurious. Although I love usually going to Korean spas, we mistakenly thought this would be a higher level experience. I will never come to this place again and will stick to the truly relaxing experience of a Korean day spa. We purchased a gift voucher for my sister for her birthday which included the day pass and a 50 minute massage. Then made reservations for all of us for entry at 1pm. There we 8 of us, which is over $1,000 in entry fees alone. When we arrived I was told that they would not honor my sisters gift voucher because it was called a Day 50 and I needed to reserve a Day 50 entry. None of this is clear on the website. When she said there are no massages available that day, I said "No problem, my sister is happy to come back at another time for her massage. Please just deduct the entrance fee from the voucher and she can redeem her massage another time." They refused to do this. Saying that if we used the voucher she would lose the massage. They were completely unwilling to work with us...a part of 8 which had already committed to $1,000-$1,300 in business not including the food and drink we would be purchasing. After a ton of frsutration, the receptionist asked if I wanted to see the manager. Yes, I did. I waited 20 minute for Veronica to show up and speak to me. Meanwhile, my entire family is sitting in the waiting room this entire time. They refused to check my family in while I tried to work out the gift voucher issue for my sister. Veronica, the manager, came down and when I explained the issue she said "We will try to work with you but I need to say that we did nothing wrong." I don't know where this woman learned her customer services skills or if she even attended a hospitality program, but even a waitress at Applebee's knows this is something you NEVER day to a customer. After much arguing, she finally agreed to try and find a massage appointment for my sister which is amusing because that wasn't even a problem. She would have gladly come back and paid an additional entrance fee at a later date if the experience were relaxing and the facility accommodating. We then needed to check everyone else in. We asked that each person check in with their own credit card and receive their own bracelet for food and drink so we can settle up our own food and drink at the end of day. This concept completely confused the receptionist who insisted she gives bracelets to everyone at the end of all the check in transactions. When we were done and asked for bracelets again, she said everyone needed to put their credit card in again. They have no idea what they are doing. One of my sisters left the lobby and was ready to go home on the ferry because she was so angry. We had been trying to check in for 40 minutes at this point. Finally, another receptionist said, you can use your card or apple pay at the bar....this was not mentioned to us AT ALL during the 40 minute check in experience. We decided to move on some with bracelets, some without, after trying to check in for close to an hour. After all of that drama and my family being treated like trash, I was hoping the day would turn around. There is only one bar to order drinks and food and the line is always very long. The food offerings are minimal. There were one or two saunas that were nice but other than that not very any spa facilities. Every other day spa I've been too has hot tubs, hot and cold plunge pools....this supposed luxurious spa had none of those. What spa doesn't have a hot tub? The pools are very lovely with a beautiful view but that is it. You are only paying for the view which you can get at any other place on Governors Island without paying $150 to enter and being treated like garbage. This place seems like it's made simply for Instagram influencers to take pictures....not a true spa or a relaxing experience. The spa website would also lead you to believe that the ferry is exclusive to the spa guest and runs late. It does not. We tried to catch the 8pm ferry back to be told it was not running. We had to walk 30 minutes across the island to catch the ferry home. My mother had surgery on her ankle a few months ago and can not walk long distances plus catching a later ferry caused me to be a solid two hours late to get home as a missed my connection. All in all, a terrible day and I feel sick to my stomach that I spent so much money for awful service. I'm embarrassed that I brought my family here and would not recommend. There are MANY Korean Day Spas in midtown, Queens and New Jersey that will give you a nicer experience (easy check in, hot tubs, great food - sushi, ramen, full bar etc) for half the price. read more

THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. I thought I would be getting my money's worth considering it took me an arm and a leg to get here (oh and a ferry). The place was way too crowded. Food is seriously OVERPRICED airplane food. The most underwhelming place you will ever go to. This does not compare to Sojo. There were no amenities and the pool was the size of my bathtub, and I live in a New York City walk up studio. Not to mention the pool water was lukewarm and pretty much a piss bath. There was nothing relaxing about this experience. In fact it was rather stressful especially when people are hovering over you for your pool seat. I mean if you don't have enough pool chairs then you should not allow so many people to come in. 300+ dollar day with pure agony! My sister went into the EMPTY steam room, which was nice considering people were on top of you left and right, only to find a PAIR of tape-on eyelashes. That was the last straw we left. How insanitary? How foul? and really how gross? To call this place a spa is the farthest stretch. I mean c'mon people. This place is not worth your money or time. Way too overhyped and expensive. Don't be a sucker and let tik tok or your neighborhood influencer fool you. read more

I've never had a massage before and booked QC for my first, had an amazing experience. I was nervous about a stranger in an "intimate" setting, I'm a strapping lad and not for fear or anything just nerves, and my masseuse made me very comfortable and it felt normal and relaxed. After my spa I went down and got a cocktail and went to the pools. They have a largish pool and a medium sized pool. So beautiful. Situated in a brick courtyard with manicured grass and hedges staring at the south end of Manhattan. You get to watch bikers exploring governors island as you soak in the hot water and sun. The indoor areas are a bit cramped and you have to shuffle around others at points. I ran into some influencers in the big pool that had a full camera team with them and I told them the view of the other pool was better so they left. I understand letting people have their phones but the lack of rules on camera and video equipment made me feel like I was not at a spa but a cool pool in the city. read more

I don't know where to start... I can't say it was the WORST spa experience but basically you're just paying for the views. We came here on a weekend after a birthday brunch so we reserved the evening slot from 5-10pm which was $116. The pool lounge area is relatively small but there are 2 so that's a plus... but if it's crowded you're forced to sit on the grass with your towel VS a lounge chair. They also did not have the scrubs or little items which were advertised, as I guess they don't restock for the evening clients. Spas charging those prices often offer hair brushes or little toiletry options which this spa lacked. They also close the bar and food (which is also small) at 8pm...The food is all prepackaged and costs $24 which is completely overpriced. At around 9 they start to kick people out, but again they do not restock the facility it seems like ... so the showers at this point had no shampoo, conditioner, shower gel... just water. The flip flops offered were either too huge or too small. Only one bathrobe with no replacement and no one to ask once it gets wet. This is my greatest quarrel with the vicinity... there were two bartenders, one kind and one rude. Had a nasty demeanor, often stated how he did not want to be there as he was handing my drink, spoke in a nasty attitude, and basically stared and did not want to work until he was forced to... I'm paying $20 for a glass of cheap rosé... I don't need the attitude and you speaking in a nasty tone on top of the money im spending to be at a mediocre spa. this is the best spa I've been to so far, you can literally be in the pool forever and the inside of the spa smells SOOO good. the first time I went I did the 3 hour block and that wasn't enough time at all, so I extended it two more hours and that still wasn't enough. this spa you NEED to do a full day or the experience is gonna feel extremely rushed. the only downside with this place is the food- it's extremely overpriced for what it is. they do not serve hot food just sandwiches w. chips & dark chocolate & some salads, and I think $24 for what it is including tax & "tip" is absurd. the drinks are also overpriced & some of the glasses the drinks come in look a little rough. other than that, 5 stars for the spa itself! after the pool, I'd recommend hitting the peppermint steam room & sauna, I could do it all day lol. read more

Place has great potential! Overall had a great experience and would absolutely come back. There is a few kinks I think that need to be worked out . The pools for one , they are heated, which is fine but it was 80 something degrees on Memorial Day and the hot pool was just not refreshing. I understand it's a spa but there should be a normal temp pool on site . Second issue is when I arrived my locker had no robe or flip flops in it . I asked an attendant in the locker room and was told I needed to go downstairs to get a new locker. When I got downstairs I ended up having to wait on a short line again. I would recommend having additional robes / flip flops in the locker area. The other issue is the flip flops given are randomly sized . I have big feet and luckily mine fit, but my friends were smaller then mine so if I had received those I wouldn't have fit . This is another tile that I think a robe / flip flop station would come in handy . Also after I went downstairs to get my new locker key, the robe in my locker had no waist tie. At this point I was like whatever . Food options are limited . I ended up eating the free bread / cookies and fruit because I didn't like anything on the menu. I wouldn't mind paying the prices as I know Manhattan Is expensive but there just wasn't much to choose from. The positives were that they did give free snacks/ coffee / tea and infused water . The bartender was great he knew his cocktails and made them to perfection. The place was sold out for the day and although it was , it didn't feel crowded . We were able to get into pools / saunas and steam rooms without being overcrowded . I hope it stays that way and they don't oversell tickets like similar spas in the area do.
