Today was my first visit to Q d Doggie. My dog had been to a number of other groomers but I wasn't happy with any of them. Either they were too expensive for what they did, couldn't fit my dog in when I needed it or did a poor job. Q d is by far the best groomer I have ever been to. They recommended the proper length for my dog's hair, clipped her nails very short, fit me in the next day, charged a reasonable rate and she looked absolutely beautiful when I picked her up. I still think Maria and Tony are THE BEST groomers out there! They listen and give you guidance as to what a good cut would be for your dog. I continue to take my Shih Tzu there and each time she looks like a million bucks afterwards! PROS: easy to make an appointment, friendly service, EXCELLENT grooming, they don't make you leave your dog there all day, reasonably priced, clean facility, plenty of parking, even a patch of grass out front for your pup Cons: really NONE Comment: I read one of the reviews that complained that she was asked to reschedule on a day that one of the groomers had just been bitten by another dog! Seriously? Come on, give them a break. Well of course they would need to take care of that first, would you want them to bleed to death and groom your pup? Be a little more understanding. The groomer said she'd rather not shave her and said she could get them out. And she did! They gave her a cute cut and my pup was happy and calm when I picked her up. So I decided to give Q d Doggie a shot with a haircut and wash for my 2 Mini Aussies. Dropped them off and about 4 hrs later they were ready to pick up. They looked like they couldn't wait to get out of there. Usually the few places I have been they were always pretty happy after getting a bath and cut. Paid and was on my way. Within a day they are scratching itching up a storm. So watched them for a few days and noticed was getting worse. Took them to my vet and asked me if I had given them a bath or taken them somewhere. Mentioned I took them in for a bath n cut. He said it is either the type of shampoo they use or did not properly dry them. They had acquired hot spots and a bad skin irritation. I called them and the lady answered and was just hostile off the bat. Like I did something wrong. I told her simply what vet told me and asked her to re bathe them. She transferred the phone to her husband the other owner. He said bring them in and drop them off, we are busy and have to charge you $15 ea. Not sure why I would pay again right after they just had a bath n cut and they didn't do a proper job. Sucked it up and said whatever just fix it. Pick them up second time and right out of the gate they are saying they have hot spots, not our fault etc etc. Purely defensive. Now there skin is so bad they are on antibiotics and skin care meds. Just a terrible place to bring your dogs. Very hostile, lack professionalism. Use sub par products and could care less. I have been to many other groomers, NEVER treated like this and such a poor job. If you love your dog DO NOT take them here. Trust me!! read more

We have been taking our two cockapoos here for the past 3 years. We have tried at least 6 other groomers from all over, but none were as kind/gentle to our pups, time efficient, and cost saving as QD Doggie. I recommend them to everyone we meet. Maria is always able to get us in for whatever we need and our dogs don't get stuck there for 8 hours like other groomers. Our pups are in and out in no time and they always look adorable. A bath for our TWO babies (which includes nail trim, face/eye clean up trim, ear clean up, sanitary clip, and gland expression) only took just over an hour! That is lightning speed compared to other places I've been to where they tell me to drop off in the morning and come back like 6-8 hours later. QD Doggie is also by far the most affordable groomer we have been to and they always do really high quality work. We are very pleased and our pups always seem very content as well :) It's definitely a good sign when your dogs go bouncing in with excitement. read more

Qd Doggie is a small family owned and run grooming service. Although they were very nice, I do not believe that the husband (who does the clipping) has any experience with longer hair dogs in need of a good cut. The first time I tried them, I brought my dog back because he had some strange long clumps of hair left on his shoulders. I gave them a second chance since they were close and friendly. This time, he left the top long like a totally different breed and didn't trim the fur around his eyes so he could see. If you just want a basic wash and nail clip for your dog, I think they would be just fine. If you are looking for someone who can professionally groom a dog, don't go there. read more

Just had my dog groomed at Q d Doggie this week for the first time. The facility was very clean and the grooming result was excellent. My bichon/poodle mix came in matted. He was shampooed, well brushed and the trim was perfect. The groomers were a little hard to understand but they were very friendly and tried to please their customers. I took my heavily matted TT to Qd Doggie for his first groom. The matting was so bad around his neck that I thought he would have to be shaved down. After 2 hours I came back to find my pup with the same long coat, but looking soooo much better. They had brushed out all the mats! They charged $65 because he was so matted, but it was worth every penny. They said next time it would be less expensive if we come in every six weeks. I'll be a regular from now on. I have taken all my cockers to Tony and Angie for years, my son had a cocker spaniel who was very nippy, they never complained, they always do a fantastic job, I think if anyone on this site is complaining the readers should take it with a grain of salt!! We have been dealing with them for 15 years and 4 different cocker spaniels, they are absolutely the best!!! Everyone is not always perfect but if one of the owners is bitten by a dog I really believe the client who is coming in should cut the groomer a little slack!! Angie and Tony are the best!! I would follow them anyplace and all of my dogs love them which is even better!! My dog used to shake going to the groomer before I found Angie and Tony!!
