We had their lemon grass beef with fried rice - large (+1.75) and their pork bahn mi with extra veggies ($7+0.75). Their menu is up to date from the pics I saw, maybe .50-$1 higher. Their is plenty of parking and plenty of seating. As you can see there is plenty of more space for tables but I don't think they need it. Their restaurant looks clean and from what I've heard they cleaned up a bit with new owners or management. The service was really good and they seem really organized. The place was pretty busy for a Sunday lunch. Their bahn mi was really good. The pork was juicy and flavorful. Their lemongrass beef too. Their beef was juicy and flavorful, not dry like someone else said. It didn't look anything like their pic. Somebody else probably prepared it. Nothing extraordinary but definitely will go back. One thing I wish they had was pickled daikon and pate. I'm always used to having that in my bahn mi so that was a bit of a surprise. You won't get too full off it but it's not too small either. I found simple, genuinely tasty food at QQ noodle! Ordered the Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls and a regular Seafood noodle soup for myself. It was a perfect portion for a smol me with a big appetite Spring rolls- loosely rolled, generous shrimp, crunchy, chewy wrapping, just a little cilantro and a yummy peanut sauce. Generous portions and freshly rolled, I highly recommend these! Seafood noodle soup- came with the same fixings as pho. Clear noodles in a light, yet flavorful broth. A great balance of savory and lightly sweet! I would definitely order this again. The food really tastes like it was made from scratch in house, and served freshly afterwards. Ordered a vegetarian pho as well as a kiwi peach boba tea. Took less than 10 minutes. Fresh and delicious. It came with plenty of veggies (cabbage, broccoli, carrots) tofu, noodles and sprouts. The broth was hot and delicious. The boba tea was amazing as well. I like tart more than anything and it's really tart sweet with plenty of large boba particles. The girls at the register were kind and helpful. This is a great option, especially if it's cold out. They only accept credit card for charges above $15. Isn't it ironic that COVID made us learn to appreciate certain aspects of the food industry that we often have taken for granted? Not only do I appreciate restaurants more for staying open, but I am also even more grateful for safe outdoor seating especially when it comes to Pho or ramen spots. Like eating higher end sushi sitting anywhere but the bar or like pasta that didn't immediately get to your table after it was plated, the experience of having Pho or ramen or any broth based noodles to-go just isn't the same (unless *perhaps* you have an appropriate bowl and utensils ready for action in your car). So when they first started having ONE table for outdoor seating a couple months ago, I immediately headed over the first instant and dove into a comforting piping hot bowl of Pho. And for COVID times in this area, it was deeply satisfying to an already very weary foodie soul. I honestly wish they would have more tables out. But as an already small family run business undertaking the general brunt of changes and requirements by the county, this wish may actually seem unlikely as their general patronage already seem highly content with their to-go orders. So whatever their true reason is, I'm still EXTREMELY thankful for that single available table outside which is only there from opening to 1700 hrs sharp. Yes, *only* until 1700 hrs so time it right when you visit. (This may change again with another shelter in place...sighs) Easy 4.5 - 5 stars for their food. Service as straightforward as an arrow. As a longtime customer, sadly I am finished w QQ Noodle. Today while ordering boba drinks at a table of an almost empty restaurant, I was told by the waitress to pay at the counter. So as a paying customer, I don't deserve the same level of service for drinks as someone ordering food? Next, the credit card minimum is $15. This caused me to order more for what started out as a visit for boba and iced coffee. This isn't the first time having to deal with QQs arbitrary rules. We were turned away one evening not long ago a half hour before closing for dine in. Never had that happen in a small family run restaurant. These types of restaurants patronized by locals should be more welcoming. Went to pick up my order and they had no recollection of my order, nor was it ready for pick up. My order was never submitted to the cook so I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. First time at QQ Noodle was a disappointment. I arrived for lunch and was told to sit anywhere. I sat and ordered a small spring roll appetizer and got two loosely wrapped open ended rolls that stuck to my fingers. The peanut sauce container was sooooo tiny but i did not bother to ask for more. I ordered noodle salad with shrimp. I paid extra for one fried egg roll that was inedible. After biting into the egg roll i looked inside and it was a mushy mess. I could not handle the taste of the rancid oil it was fried in. I mentioned this to the waitress and she assured me she would let the kitchen know. I paid and left. Bad experience. My son's girlfriend frequents this restaurant and normally gives great reviews, but tonight's take out knocked it down several stars. As seen in the pictures, she found in her beef "chow fun" - really just ramen noodles, a long, thick and wiry piece of hair. This was my first experience eating this establishment's food, and I was hopeful that this place would be my next "go to". After reading the reviews of QQ Noodle, I looked forward to giving it a try. Although the staff was courteous and the food presentation was good, I was very disappointed in my meal. I had salt & pepper jumbo shrimp and barbecue chicken vermicelli. The salt and pepper shrimp looked good but was bland. I couldn't understand how it lacked the key ingredient- salt! I'm not one to use much salt as it is but will devour a good salt & pepper dish which is a favorite of mine, but I was so disappointed that I didn't finish the appetizer nor did I take it to go. The chicken vermicelli looked good but the taste was lacking even with the sweet chili fish sauce you pour over it. I've never tasted it so bland before. Overall I was disappointed. This place is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I have never been discriminated against before and I felt what that really feels like at this place. I was told that I couldn't eat there when I asked to dine in. They let me buy the food but when I said I would like to dine in they gave me a Togo container. I asked for a bowl and they said no since I supposedly said take out. I know what I felt was valid because other customers told me that this is a common occurrence. First of all, I am rating this as my experience getting pho in Marina, not in San Jose or the Bay Area. With that said, this is one of our favorite places to go get Pho in the area. Growing up in Santa Cruz, and if you're from the area, you know that it is hard to get quality pho, and you most likely have to drive to San Jose if you want to get a fix. In my opinion, this is the best option to go to for Pho if you live in the Marina/Monterey/Carmel area without having to drive to San Jose. You get a good portion of meats and noodles for the price, and we have enjoyed the appetizers and boba as well too. We come here probably every couple of weeks and have not been disappointed. Stopped by here because I was craving for pho while on a business trip. The place was a casual dining and the service was tremendously fast! The pho broth was salty and needed a more flavor - definitely missing the spice aromas. Recommend that you add condiments and sauces to your liking to enhance the flavor of the broth. Alternatively, the chicken wings were very delicious! Fresh, hot, and crispy! The only thing that was missing was the taste and smell of the lemongrass so adding more lemongrass would be great. We discovered this place on accident. The pho here is pretty solid, with all the usual pho fixins and all the standard items that go into the Pho #1 (or the "dac biet," special). Very spacious and clean, so no need to worry about being cramped up in a small space or in too close proximity with customers. As an appetizer the calamari is just off the hook. I also enjoyed the Lemongrass chicken. It was sweet, savory, with a little pizazz of spice added to it as well. During my first visit, I tried the Vietnamese sandwiches (Banh Mi). Great as an on-the-road or nature trip meal, and holds very well wherever you go. Never tried their boba but I am curious. Their Vietnamese coffee is about a 7/10 on the "strong coffee" level. This place was nothing more than a disappointment. First off we had the combination egg rolls. Which actually tasted fine but at a hefty 7$ base price for 5 small rolls which don't come with anything. Then charge a other 1.50 for just lettuce when these rolls usually come with noodles lettuce cucumber and mint at other places free of charge. And the sauce it came with tasted like 10 parts sugar to 1 part fish sauce. Too sweet. It's insane to think of getting 5 small egg rolls and 2 pieces of lettuce for almost 9$ Then got the fresh spring rolls which for the price seemed great. 5 small spring rolls came out but the surprise came when you bit into them. These were the most bland mouthfulls of food I had. The shrimp we're fine but the pork seemed so old and dry if sucked all that moisture out of your mouth. There were absolutely no herbs inside . I'm used to these rolls having noodles. Lettuce. Shrimp. Cucumber. Mint. Basil. Etc. These literally had lettuce shrimp and dry pork. Not to mention the peanut sauce was again too sweet and had no flavor. Literally tasted like peanut butter. Water. And sugar. Hard to get this one wrong. But they did. Had chicken wings which were fine. But.bland. I was gonna get the Banh Mi but saw a banh mi no bigger than the palm of my hand costs 7-8$. No thanks. Had a chicken chow mien for the little one which costed a whopping 11$ for a place that was barely filled. You could literally see the plate through all the gaps (meaning it looked like a half eaten order just recycled and spread out to make it look like a full order). Big waste of money. Kid usually demolishes noodles but barely ate any. It tasted like burnt soy sauce. The Pho was maybe ghe most disappointing since this is what we had originally come here for. The soup was actually pretty flavorful only that it was salty as all hell. Even before adding any sauce it was wayyyyy too salty. Like they made a batch. It didn't sell and had been reducing and they didn't check the salt level before serving. Couldn't even add any Sriracha in fear of it getting any saltier. Customer service on the other hand was actually really great. The young woman who took our order and helped us was really in polite and quick. She was awesome. The reason I am giving it four stars is because for the large, I didn't see a difference in broth volume between large and regular. Also, I didn't have a bowl (I was staying at a hotel), I was expecting one and had to eat it from the broth Tupperware. They gave me bean sprouts, basil, lime, and rice noodles on the side. It's nice to have another noodle restaurant in Marina. I came here on a slow night and was pleasantly surprised. The food is good and affordable for sure. I spent &13.05 on a regular six rare beef pho and an order of spring rolls. The pho was served with the usual condiments of bean sprouts, lime and basil and jalapeños. I enjoyed using the different sauces to add a flavor to each bite. The spring rolls were delicious too. With a peanut sauce. This restaurant is a hidden gem located in Marina. Love everything about this restaurant - from the food quality to the price. Food: My mom makes the best Vietnamese food but I have found this place to be as good. I love the egg rolls, rice vermicelli noodles, and chowmein. You can pick different types of meat and they even have a large selection of vegetarian options. In terms of the drinks, I love their taro milk tea and boba slush. Parking: Lots of parking in front and back of the restaurant. Props to them for picking this central location where it's convenient to go in and out.
