Quality Cylinder Head Specialists went above and beyond helping me bring my 2014 Toyota Tundra back to life. Head gasket blew at more than 240,000 miles and was being told I should get a new engine by multiple other shops... but thankfully Coby & team guided me in the right direction and I was able to get the gasket fixed and heads rebuilt like brand new! Tundra runs like a champ again and will be for a very long time thanks to this shop!

I had them repair my Volvo C30 cylinder head it needed a valve job and they were able to do it and allowed me to provide them with parts to keep the costs down!!! I dropped it off in the morning was told it be ready in a day or 2, but was called same day late in the afternoon told it was ready!!! Corbin is the GOAT, have been going here for over ten years, rebuild countless BMWs, Hondas/Acuras, Toyotas/Lexus cylinder heads with this business. Very transparent for services requested, and suggested services as well prior to doing the work. The ETA was spot on EVERY time and calls just to give a heads up if itll be done sooner (or later id assume, which was expected ONCE but worked out on time). If you are looking for a place with great quality service, if its your first time doing a head gasket (*cough* *subaru*) and amazing value for the work done, this is the place. Brought in a cylinder head to Corbin for a complete service and removal of a broken water neck behind the cylinder head. It has been a few years since the head has been installed and is still running without any issues at all. Brought in some aftermarket cylinder heads to have professionally checked out. I had them back the next day, they even showed me the test to check the valve job. Didnt even get charged since everything checked out. It can be challenging to find trustworthy people in the automotive field, so it was nice to see that here. Ill be back with a set of heads that need work soon. read more

Bought a refurbished head for a 2003 Honda Accord k24 engine build($500). Refused to refund my money (29 days later) within the 90 day warranty. Customer service= 5 stars. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. read more

Great experience and great job by QCHS on a Acura V6 head resurface. I'm a DIY, repeat customer and Coban did a great job answering my questions and getting the job done while I waited. First experience was a cylinder head rebuild for a Honda V6 and that was 2 years/22K miles ago and still running great. Job was done in 3 days, on time. Coban walked me through the process and answered all my DIYer questions. Shop is humming with lots of business so it's great to see that so many customers trust this shop. Made a call and talked to Coban and he answered all my questions so i took my cylonder head over. I was greeted as i step out of my car and we took my cylinder head in and talk some more and wad recommended that i might need some new valve guides. 2 hours after i left i received a call and was told i don't need the valve guides. Then after another hour i was told i can pick up my cylinder head. Great friendly and honest people. Thank you Coban! read more

I am rebuilding a 1967 Mercedes engine and the head was in poor shape and in need of some tlc. These guys stripped it down, cleaned it, re-seated the valves and rebuilt it to make it look like new. The price was really competitive and the service was great. read more

All I see is 5 star reviews and I have just read them all.. I have to agree with every one of you yelpers. I picked up my 2002 Subaru WRX heads today 9/7/16 and they look great. I have yet to install them but I have to say that Coban (whom I believe is the owner) inspired confidence and trust from the first phone call I made to him. I spoke with Coban and I was surprised by his willingness to answer all my questions with detailed explanations. My heads were cleaned, resurfaced, pressure tested and had a valve job done with spark plug cavity inserts. Coban and his team do great work, quickly, and at a fair price. Good customer service goes a long way. You can trust these guys. read more

My 95' BMW 323is blew it's headgasket and wanted the cylinder head rebuilt. I called a bunch of machine shops and this place answered with the most helpful and eager attitude. They gave me a new cylinder head for an extremely fair price and the head is absolutely beautiful. They answered every single question I had regarding my cylinder head. Aloha everyone! I highly recommend coming here. They have rebuilt my heads for both off my cars. My 1990 4Runner and my sons 93 Acura legend and the turn around time was quick. I mean when i took my heads in for my 4 Runner, i had them do a resurface and i waited there no more than 45 min to an 1 hour. The Acura had a few BENT VALVES AND was fully REBUILT AND RESURFACED by them and the day i dropped both heads off in the late afternoon they told me it would be done tomorrow evening just cause they special ordered parts i asked for like the complete HEAD GASKET KIT for a great price. I know if i needed just the heads with out the gasket kit i can count on them getting the job done in a few hours. COBAN LE was the person who help me. Awsome customer service, fast turn around, ALL IN HOUSE MACHINE SHOP, quality work to the T, and one last thing great price. Mahalo so much for your service.. read more

I found Quality Cylinder Head through all the good reviws here on Yelp and I cound't be more sastified. My wife blew the head gasket on her 2008 Scoin Xb. It had been rebulit before and they used a poor quality gasket (ALWAYS use Felt-Pro!). Not only did they do an excellent job, only replacing the 2 valves that needed it, they set the valve lash for me (it's a DOHC). It's been 3 weeks now and I can say it runs GREAT! They did an excellent job for a fantastic price and I will enthusatically recommend them to anyone. read more

My previous go-to mechanic tripped me with a quote of $575 for the valve gasket cover replacement (I assumed they meant the entire thing, not the rubber seal). It was not. He was wedged in there for 12 hours with no food, no water, and zero litter box access. He was absolutely losing it. I ran through every option. Fire department? Busy with the actual chemical explosion rattling all of OC, fair. Animal control? Ghosted me. My cousin, currently out of the country, tried Tesla Roadside Assistance through the app. Tesla's answer: their technicians are not trained to rescue animals. Noted, but deeply unhelpful in the moment. Two other mechanics passed too. Jesse was my third Yelp attempt and my last real option. He showed up within two hours, no fuss, and got straight to work. He tried everything - the frunk, underneath, removing the right wheel - methodically working different angles for an hour and a half because my cat had chosen the most inconvenient possible position to be chonky in. Jesse stayed patient the entire time and got him out safely. My cat is home. He is fine. He is completely unbothered, as cats are. Jesse showed up when nobody else could. That is not something I will forget. Oh, and his prices are insanely reasonable. If you need a mechanic who will actually show up and problem-solve, Jesse is your guy.

After getting nowhere, I called from a different number--and suddenly Jesse answered. His excuse was that he had been "busy." I asked him to send me my money back and he hung up and blocked my number. In total, nearly two months passed after he took my money with no communication, no follow-up, and no attempt to complete the service. Being busy may explain a delayed response. It does not explain ignoring a paying customer for over two months while continuing to keep their money. That is not poor time management; it is poor business practice. There was an $80 diagnostic fee, so technically I am only out $40. Financially, it is not a huge loss. Professionally, however, it says everything I need to know about this business. A reputable business does not take payment, fail to complete the agreed-upon service, ignore every attempt at communication, and then offer excuses only after being reached from a number it does not recognize. The motorcycle needed a diagnosis, but the bigger problem turned out to be the business itself: unreliable, unresponsive, and completely lacking in accountability. I would not trust Jesse with my motorcycle again, and I certainly would not recommend paying him anything upfront.

I just took my car for maintenance recently and they advised that the tire they sold me here is 10 years old!!! aside from that. they also stripped 3 of the lug bolts that i now also have to replace. horrible. do not go by yourself, have your husband or a man with you. do not recommend.

They noticed my hybrid battery cooling fan was missing after I told them I just had it "replaced" at another shop. That's the kind of information you don't usually get from a repair shop. They ended up not needing to drop the subframe, so they adjusted the labor instead of charging me for work they didn't have to do. It still took the amount of time they said it was going to take, but still discounted me a little bit which I thought was cool. I also had them do an oil change while it was there, and even that was less expensive than what I normally pay at places like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. If you own a Prius or any hybrid, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. More than anything, I left feeling like they genuinely know these cars and took the time to educate me, not just fix it. I'll definitely be bringing my Prius back if I ever need anything else.

He ordered the part directly from Acura and quoted me a fair price. My car was ready the following day, but when I arrived to pick it up, Francis informed me that my vehicle had been involved in an accident while in his care. He explained that another driver had been speeding through the parking lot and crashed into him. He gave me the other driver's information, and I contacted him immediately. The other driver gave a very different version of events. He stated that he was backing out of a parking space and did not see Francis. He also told me that Francis provided his driver's license information but refused to share insurance information. Now, more than a month later, I still have a damaged vehicle and have not received insurance information from Francis despite multiple phone calls, text messages, and outreach from Mercury Insurance. I trusted this shop to take care of my car, not return it to me in worse condition and leave me responsible for a $500 deductible. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability and urgency. Francis acted as though this situation was not a major concern and repeatedly assured me that the other driver would "take care of it," which has not happened. According to the other driver, Francis even asked him to change the story about what happened. I chose this business because of its strong reviews and the image Francis presents, but my experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I believe customers deserve honesty, transparency, and responsibility when their vehicle is in someone else's care.

Scheduling was easy, and I was able to get an appointment the following Saturday morning. I dropped off my car and took a walk to a nearby café to have breakfast while they worked on it. They also have a nice air-conditioned waiting room if you prefer to wait on-site. I returned about 90 minutes later, and waited while they finished up. I take great care of the car, but every time they're done with it, it looks better than day one off the dealer floor. Steve informed me that the PPF and ceramic coating was in great shape. He also educated me that the ceramic coating on the hood wears faster than the rest of the car. They re-coated the hood for no extra charge. What service! Again, I left Elevance very happy with my initial choice to have them apply everything and returning annually for their customer only inspection and detail service. Steve and his staff are extremely professional and friendly. If you need PPF, wrapping, ceramic coating, or window tint, check out my previous reviews and go with Elevance!

However, the more I continue to see all the errors and defects on my vehicle the more dissatisfied I feel about the results. There are multiple areas crinkling and bunched up, even right after my wrap and more so now down the line. My biggest issue that has been on my mind to this day is that my cars mileage increased 30 miles from when I initially dropped it off. I brought this issue up to Steve and he explained it's because they did my wheels, the body work, and test drove it but thirty miles is excessive in my opinion. One of his workers I feel definitely took my car for a joy ride and perhaps Steve is covering for them. The mileage doesn't bother me, it's the negligence, irresponsibility, and disrespect for my property of whoever drove my car. Again, Steve has been responsive since day one but his staff (who worked on my vehicle) on the other hand fell very short of the quality and expectations his shop seems to give out through their platforms. I feel like I was one in the hundreds of people who had a really bad job done. No one is perfect and I'm just that one mistake of a customer, unfortunately. All in all, zero stars for the wrap job and 3 stars for Steve's efforts and customer service and 4 stars for the body work and wheels. However, I would recommend to keep an eye on your odometer when you drop it off since it seems like his employees might have an inclination to have some fun when no one is looking or when the "test drive" is being done. I have a camera in my vehicle but when I checked it someone disconnected it almost immediately after dropping it off according to the time stamps. Little sus to me. Thank you, Steve for your kindness and doing your best to resolve each issues you may not have had your hands on directly but if I could truly resolve my dissatisfaction (especially for the money I paid) I'd prefer to redo my wrap in all the area it was defective.

Aloha everyone! I highly recommend coming here. They have rebuilt my heads for both off my cars. My 1990 4Runner and my sons 93 Acura legend and the turn around time was quick. I mean when i took my heads in for my 4 Runner, i had them do a resurface and i waited there no more than 45 min to an 1 hour. The Acura had a few BENT VALVES AND was fully REBUILT AND RESURFACED by them and the day i dropped both heads off in the late afternoon they told me it would be done tomorrow evening just cause they special ordered parts i asked for like the complete HEAD GASKET KIT for a great price. I know if i needed just the heads with out the gasket kit i can count on them getting the job done in a few hours. COBAN LE was the person who help me. The guy in charge here is Coban. He's such a nice guy and does not push you into anything you don't really need. They pressure test the head of my son's BMW and I got it back the same day. $60 .
