Quality Cylinder Head Specialists went above and beyond helping me bring my 2014 Toyota Tundra back to life. Head gasket blew at more than 240,000 miles and was being told I should get a new engine by multiple other shops... but thankfully Coby & team guided me in the right direction and I was able to get the gasket fixed and heads rebuilt like brand new! Corbin is the GOAT, have been going here for over ten years, rebuild countless BMWs, Hondas/Acuras, Toyotas/Lexus cylinder heads with this business. Very transparent for services requested, and suggested services as well prior to doing the work. The ETA was spot on EVERY time and calls just to give a heads up if itll be done sooner (or later id assume, which was expected ONCE but worked out on time). If you are looking for a place with great quality service, if its your first time doing a head gasket (*cough* *subaru*) and amazing value for the work done, this is the place. Brought in a cylinder head to Corbin for a complete service and removal of a broken water neck behind the cylinder head. It has been a few years since the head has been installed and is still running without any issues at all. Brought in some aftermarket cylinder heads to have professionally checked out. I had them back the next day, they even showed me the test to check the valve job. Didnt even get charged since everything checked out. It can be challenging to find trustworthy people in the automotive field, so it was nice to see that here. Ill be back with a set of heads that need work soon. read more

Great experience and great job by QCHS on a Acura V6 head resurface. I'm a DIY, repeat customer and Coban did a great job answering my questions and getting the job done while I waited. First experience was a cylinder head rebuild for a Honda V6 and that was 2 years/22K miles ago and still running great. Job was done in 3 days, on time. Coban walked me through the process and answered all my DIYer questions. Shop is humming with lots of business so it's great to see that so many customers trust this shop. Made a call and talked to Coban and he answered all my questions so i took my cylonder head over. I was greeted as i step out of my car and we took my cylinder head in and talk some more and wad recommended that i might need some new valve guides. 2 hours after i left i received a call and was told i don't need the valve guides. Then after another hour i was told i can pick up my cylinder head. Great friendly and honest people. Thank you Coban! read more

I am rebuilding a 1967 Mercedes engine and the head was in poor shape and in need of some tlc. These guys stripped it down, cleaned it, re-seated the valves and rebuilt it to make it look like new. The price was really competitive and the service was great. read more

All I see is 5 star reviews and I have just read them all.. I have to agree with every one of you yelpers. I picked up my 2002 Subaru WRX heads today 9/7/16 and they look great. I have yet to install them but I have to say that Coban (whom I believe is the owner) inspired confidence and trust from the first phone call I made to him. I spoke with Coban and I was surprised by his willingness to answer all my questions with detailed explanations. My heads were cleaned, resurfaced, pressure tested and had a valve job done with spark plug cavity inserts. Coban and his team do great work, quickly, and at a fair price. Good customer service goes a long way. You can trust these guys. read more

My 95' BMW 323is blew it's headgasket and wanted the cylinder head rebuilt. I called a bunch of machine shops and this place answered with the most helpful and eager attitude. They gave me a new cylinder head for an extremely fair price and the head is absolutely beautiful. They answered every single question I had regarding my cylinder head. Aloha everyone! I highly recommend coming here. They have rebuilt my heads for both off my cars. My 1990 4Runner and my sons 93 Acura legend and the turn around time was quick. I mean when i took my heads in for my 4 Runner, i had them do a resurface and i waited there no more than 45 min to an 1 hour. The Acura had a few BENT VALVES AND was fully REBUILT AND RESURFACED by them and the day i dropped both heads off in the late afternoon they told me it would be done tomorrow evening just cause they special ordered parts i asked for like the complete HEAD GASKET KIT for a great price. I know if i needed just the heads with out the gasket kit i can count on them getting the job done in a few hours. COBAN LE was the person who help me. Awsome customer service, fast turn around, ALL IN HOUSE MACHINE SHOP, quality work to the T, and one last thing great price. Mahalo so much for your service.. read more

I found Quality Cylinder Head through all the good reviws here on Yelp and I cound't be more sastified. My wife blew the head gasket on her 2008 Scoin Xb. It had been rebulit before and they used a poor quality gasket (ALWAYS use Felt-Pro!). Not only did they do an excellent job, only replacing the 2 valves that needed it, they set the valve lash for me (it's a DOHC). It's been 3 weeks now and I can say it runs GREAT! They did an excellent job for a fantastic price and I will enthusatically recommend them to anyone. read more

When I told him this, he responded that his prices are the way they are because he uses quality parts. I asked him if the part would be aftermarket, and he said "it's Japanese." That didn't answer my question, so I asked him if the brand was Denso, and he said "yes, that's Japanese, right?" Aside from my interaction with him, I saw Langston being rude and giving attitude to my guy Carson after he came back from his break for no reason at all. I ended up going elsewhere to get the job done with the same Denso part for $100 less (close to the original quote that Carson gave me). It was not. He was wedged in there for 12 hours with no food, no water, and zero litter box access. He was absolutely losing it. I ran through every option. Fire department? Busy with the actual chemical explosion rattling all of OC, fair. Animal control? Ghosted me. My cousin, currently out of the country, tried Tesla Roadside Assistance through the app. Tesla's answer: their technicians are not trained to rescue animals. Noted, but deeply unhelpful in the moment. Two other mechanics passed too. Jesse was my third Yelp attempt and my last real option. He showed up within two hours, no fuss, and got straight to work. He tried everything - the frunk, underneath, removing the right wheel - methodically working different angles for an hour and a half because my cat had chosen the most inconvenient possible position to be chonky in. Jesse stayed patient the entire time and got him out safely. My cat is home. He is fine. He is completely unbothered, as cats are. Jesse showed up when nobody else could. That is not something I will forget. Oh, and his prices are insanely reasonable. If you need a mechanic who will actually show up and problem-solve, Jesse is your guy.

No show, no answer calls or texts until a call at 930 - where he apologizes for issues on Tuesday and will show up at 5PM. Fine. I'll adjust my evening plans too. An organized person would have adjusted plans and communicated Wednesday if they had issues/delays Tuesday. Then, at 2PM calls back and says looking more like 530PM. And then he says... oh? Did I give you a price already? Oh that's actually a lot of work and says it'll actually cost 60% more. That was enough to call it quits. While I can't speak to his mechanic abilities, he fell short on: 1) being able to accurately understand and estimate work before quoting, or worse, stick to his quote when he gets busy 2) ability to plan his schedule and communicate reasonably. I hope he learns from this and other experiences and reaches his potential through better consistency.

Nick showed up three hours after he said he would, and didn't bother to call.. also didn't answer when I tried calling him, luckily I hadn't left work yet because he finally just randomly shows up. Takes a look and says I need a control arm and end links for the front seat bar. He goes and orders them and says he would be back the next day... he never showed up and wouldn't answer his phone. He finally shows up the next day(again just randomly showed up). Thankfully once again I was still there at work... he showed up in a pickup truck that was his personal vehicle because "his work rig was in the shop". Ok no big deal.... he does the work and I ask to test drive it before he left. The steering was really loose and unresponsive. Also there was a clunking sound. He said he had to go and would be back to work on it again. Next day driving it back to work to meet nick as he requested, steering was really sloppy and unsafe. Nick never showed and never answered my calls. I took it to another shop and had them look at it. He forgot to replace a couple bolts and put the wrong control arm in. After a few days, I finally got ahold of him and told him and he swore up and down he would never forget to put parts back. And that he got the correct control arm. He said he would be back to check his work and never showed. I was never able to get ahold of him again Fast forward a good few months and the car is in the shop having the front control arm replaced along with the front sway bar and the end links he forgot to replace yet charged me for. So now I am down $400 for the wrong part and missing end links that he never installed and another 500 for parts and labor for the new auto shop to do the work correctly. I really wanted to like this company as I love the idea and convenience of the idea, and nick really was a nice guy, but man I really got screwed by these guys... I'm really tempted to look into what I can do legally at this point. I hope this review helps anyone else that is looking at going through this company. Also, before I'm told the same as the others about contacting drivers directly, the number was the one listed here on yelp and have documentation to prove so.

He was super patient with me (I am not automobile inclined) as we tried to diagnose my issue over the phone so that he could give me an accurate quote. I truly believe that any mechanic I have ever met, including my own brother, would have found a way to shake some coin off of me before helping me solve a problem, but Nick was up front about the prices (more than reasonable) and knowledgeable, giving me some troubleshooting ideas and a few options to best accomodate me. I won't bore you with the details (I have a small leak in my hydraulics), but I appreciate that he didn't insist that I make repairs, like a doctor or a dad would do. And he wanted to know how my troubleshooting worked out, calling him back either way, like a date dropping you off at your house and waiting for you to turn on your porch light to make sure you're safe. Anyway, this might sound weird, but I am actually looking forward to my next automobile issue because I want to give Nick my business. I found Francis through an online search because of the many positive reviews, and during our first interaction he was friendly, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. He ordered the part directly from Acura and quoted me a fair price. My car was ready the following day, but when I arrived to pick it up, Francis informed me that my vehicle had been involved in an accident while in his care. He explained that another driver had been speeding through the parking lot and crashed into him. He gave me the other driver's information, and I contacted him immediately. The other driver gave a very different version of events. He stated that he was backing out of a parking space and did not see Francis. He also told me that Francis provided his driver's license information but refused to share insurance information. Now, more than a month later, I still have a damaged vehicle and have not received insurance information from Francis despite multiple phone calls, text messages, and outreach from Mercury Insurance. I trusted this shop to take care of my car, not return it to me in worse condition and leave me responsible for a $500 deductible. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability and urgency. Francis acted as though this situation was not a major concern and repeatedly assured me that the other driver would "take care of it," which has not happened. According to the other driver, Francis even asked him to change the story about what happened. I chose this business because of its strong reviews and the image Francis presents, but my experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I believe customers deserve honesty, transparency, and responsibility when their vehicle is in someone else's care.

I contacted other shops and they either gave me really expensive quotes or they said that they don't have the expertise to fix them at all. Alongside that, my husband also curbed the rims of his car a few times and they were also able to fix those as well! Aloha everyone! I highly recommend coming here. They have rebuilt my heads for both off my cars. My 1990 4Runner and my sons 93 Acura legend and the turn around time was quick. I mean when i took my heads in for my 4 Runner, i had them do a resurface and i waited there no more than 45 min to an 1 hour. The Acura had a few BENT VALVES AND was fully REBUILT AND RESURFACED by them and the day i dropped both heads off in the late afternoon they told me it would be done tomorrow evening just cause they special ordered parts i asked for like the complete HEAD GASKET KIT for a great price. I know if i needed just the heads with out the gasket kit i can count on them getting the job done in a few hours. COBAN LE was the person who help me. This is as good as it gets! These guys are AWESOME! I needed a cylinder head worked on for a 2005 S281 Mustang and spoke with Coban L. He went above and beyond expectations. Not only did he give me a great price on the cylinder head, he hand delivered it to me the same day because I explained it to him that I needed it for the track this weekend. The guy in charge here is Coban. He's such a nice guy and does not push you into anything you don't really need. They pressure test the head of my son's BMW and I got it back the same day. $60 .
