I'll admit it. When a place had the word "quality" in its name I'm a tad suspicious. Those fears in this case were totally unwarranted. From the very cool outdoor "guys" they've obviously built as a result of COVID to the very end this was a great eating experience. No, I didn't eat outside and I can tell you from the second you step inside you will be warm, comfortable and well taken care of. The restaurant is warm, and slightly dark it gives you the instant feel of a great classic Italian restaurant, the kind that just makes your mouth water with anticipation. The service is good and the staff both friendly and helpful. I recommend sharing the Cesar salad and if you like seafood the crab salad. I found the calamari a tad too greasy for my tastesy but it was not inedible or bad by an any stretch. Oh, the bread they serve you is exceptional too. Two of us then shared a bone in rib eye and I will tell you that I like my steaks charred on the outside (Pittsburgh style) and this steak was better than the good one I had at a steak house the night before! My party had a pretty disappointing Christmas dinner at Quality Italian. We had a reservation through OpenTable months in advance, and I was really excited about it. We arrived on time and were seated fairly shortly thereafter. At a very tiny table close to the front where I had to move other people's chairs to get out of line. Our waiter came to the table and asked what kind of water we'd like. He ran and got the waters. He asked about appetizers and we decided on the meatballs. He ran away again before even asking us about drinks. We received our meatballs and finished them (delicious of course) before he even came back. When he took our drink order and food order, we asked for more bread to dip in the sauce. He brought the drinks and we asked for bread again. I ordered the scallops. When I asked if they came with anything, the waiter assured me that it would be plenty of food. Four scallops (cooked to perfection) in butter with three capers, for $48. $12 per scallop. We would have ordered a side to go with it, but I was assured it would be fine. I was confused as to why he would not try to upsell us. My husband's dish was good but needed pepper - which shouldn't have been the case for cacio e Pepe, but we had to ask for pepper twice before receiving it. Everything was rushed and it was chaos around. By the time we were completing our dishes, the waiter came over again and asked if we wanted dessert. We immediately declined. What happened to this place?? This used to be THE SPOT. Not anymore, I was in here Monday night, it was slow. But somehow we received the worst food. The Brussels sprouts were hard and dry. The Caesar salad didn't have their cured lemons, I had to ask for some when it came out. The chicken parm pizza was not hot...it came out a little above room temp. The server assistant who dropped the pizza off at our table was very aggressive and slammed the pizza holder on the table and wasn't very friendly. We made reservations for two. First time experience for both of us. Ordered the lobster rigatoni, filet, Caesar salad, broccoli rob, and gelato for dessert. The rigatoni and lobster were tough and over cooked which was really disappointing since that's what our server recommended. We let our server know and he comped us the meal. The filet was very good medium rare. Probably 6 ounces for $55. Salad was good. Had some interesting ingredients like lemon pieces in the salad. Broccoli rob was undercooked. Gelato was very runny and seemed melted. Never had gelato like that so wasn't sure if that's how it was supposed to come. Server was a guy and he was ok. He seemed busy and rushed and would just walk away after talking with us without saying anything like "I'll swing back around" or "let you think about it" he would just walk away which I thought was an odd way to handle a table. Came with a diverse group for a celebration dinner. The food was okay but our older male server was so monotone, with zero energy and spoke as if he was annoyed and being forced to wait on our table. We didn't let him sour our celebration vibe but I thought it was hilarious to see his instant energy and animation after noticing his tip as he picked up the signed check. (Not from me). I ordered the Filet Mignon and Spicy Lobster Rigatoni Alla Vodka to experience the flavors of both the steak and pasta at the restaurant, for a side I ordered the Brussel Sprouts. All portions were very large and the flavors were amazing. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly, it was one of the best cooked filets I have eaten. The pasta had bold flavor and the noodles were fresh and perfectly cooked. The Brussel Sprouts were amazing, this meal was nearly perfect. I would suggest if you order a steak place the butter that is provided on the side as soon as possible so it melts on your steak, other than that the meal was perfect. The servers were outstanding. The service was amazing, and everyone we encountered was super nice and welcoming. Now down to the food, a little underwhelming, I think everything leading up to the food gave us high expectations and that's when it was a bit of a let down. The bread service was very good. We got the ricotta for the appetizer and it was delicious but we didn't like the bread that came with the appetizer, so we just used the free bread that came out before the appetizer and that worked perfectly. For our meals, I ordered a short rib pasta, and that was pretty good. But then my husband got what was most recommended and that was the lobster pasta, it came out and there was a table side presentation of the dish which was really cool. But when it came down to taste, it was just a chili flavor. Too overbearing to where it took away from the red sauce and lobster. Our children are picky eaters, but of all foods, they love steak - or more specifically, filet mignon. Definitely not easy on the pocketbook (for sure), but we also enjoy celebrating special occasions. So, we decided to try Quality Italian to celebrate my oldest son's 10th birthday as pasta is a close second to his favorite steak cut. We made reservations via OpenTable and listed the special celebration field as his birthday. A card signed by the waitstaff was waiting for him at his seat. One of the comments was "Go Chiefs" was especially appreciated as my son is rooting for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. For the adults, the winelist was extensive, especially - no surprise - the Italian selections. Unfortunately, Italian wines are my blind spot, but the waiter suggested a selection that hit the spot. Yummy. For the kids, they enjoyed a Shirley Temple drink that came with a fancy refill carafe with aesthetics that pleased even the palate of my burgeoning 11-year old artist daughter. Unfortunately, the lack of a children's menu meant that we had to get creative with dinner. Of note (and maybe well known to the Yelp Community), Elway's has a children's menu that includes Filet Mignon - and will probably affect our future "special celebration" steak dinners. Top to bottom, Quality Italian nailed it. The steaks were perfection - in size, temperature, and taste. The waiter accommodated with a sample of butter pasta for the kids to share with their 'shared' 12 oz filet. Daddy (me) enjoyed my own cut and side of fingerling potatoes - although on retrospect, I would definitely go with the Tuscan Fries - I love me some steak frites! My wife enjoyed a delicious spicy lobster rigatoni alla vodka - prepared tableside - and was a huge attraction for the kids (see photo!). The paccheri amatriciana was equally amazing. In fact, my next visit will be focused on the pasta side of this special restaurant! And I plan to explore even more of the Italian wine selections... The review fell short of 5 stars as the restaurant planned to charge us to serve my son's favorite cake that we went out of our way to purchase and bring to the restaurant to enhance the celebration. We felt the charge was excessive and after spending over $500, we felt that bringing in and serving the perfect end to his birthday celebration shouldn't come at such a surcharge. We deferred and enjoyed it at home - albeit late on a school night. PROS: Perfect steak in texture and temperature. Excellent wine list to complement a red meat or pasta option. Outstanding pasta dishes. Awesome ambience to enjoy a special memory. CONS: Expensive options for kids - for steak selections, suggest Elway's for the kids menu with filet options (also good steak/wine experience for parents/adults). I'd suggest the Appetizers , calamari, sausage pepper bread, MEATBALLS! We had the specials which were outstanding ! Service top notch friendly attentive . The food here was fine. This review is solely based on the unacceptable racism my family and I experienced at this restaurant tonight. My family wanted to take my mother out for her birthday. A group of 5 of us were seated at the table, and as soon as our server approaches us, the first thing he says is, "ni hao!". We are not Chinese. He assumed that an Asian family automatically meant we were Chinese? Why can't we have a dinner experience without our race playing a factor? I did not want to create a scene and spoil my mothers birthday dinner so I kept pretty cordial during the dinner, but in hindsight I wish I'd have said something more to him about how racist and inappropriate that was. It's 2023- please provide education to your employees about how not to be blatantly racist. Still so upset from this experience. I've been a fan of Quality Meats whenever we are in NYC, so was pretty unimpressed by our recent visit to QI in Denver. The location and decor are inviting in that swanky, industrial way. We were seated outside since the weather was fantastic. I know they put up the outdoor dining cubicles due to Covid, but they are starting to look a little junky and block the view for those of us sitting on the patio. It may be time to reconsider keeping them up. We were kindly greeted and promptly sat and service was actually five stars, but the food was an incredible let down for the price point. We both started with salads. A gem Caesar and tricolore, while the lettuces were super fresh, the dressing was a little too light on both salads. Since I've always had delicious steaks at quality meats, I decided to settle on a filet, medium rare, with truffle butter. It was well seasoned and cooked correctly but certainly didn't blow me away as I like a really good Maillard crust, and this wasn't well crusted. The truffle butter was still too cold and should've been served softer. For $48 I expect perfection. The greatest disappointment was the Niman ranch pork chop. It was stringy and dry and lacked seasoning. Huge letdown. We also ordered dirty martinis and I was pretty underwhelmed by the puny olives and it was too heavy on vermouth. Hillstone down the street serves an icy cold dirty martini and cheese stuffed olives. QI needs to step up their martini game big time. Go to Hillstone and see for yourself. We didn't think the quality of food served warranted the $200 price tag before tip. Won't be returning even though the service was the saving grace. Quality service, just not quality food. read more

I really enjoyed my brunch here today!! As a vegetarian coming to an Italian steakhouse for brunch I'm aware the veggie options will be limited, so that makes it hard to give it 5 stars. It would be 4.5 probably for me right now. The service was so friendly - attentive but not overbearing. The menu was a decent size. I got the polenta pancakes with lemon ricotta and blueberry compote and a side of eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The polenta pancakes were fluffy not dense and had more "umph" than regular pancakes. The blueberry compote added a delicious tang to the savory polenta. I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time and I'm so glad I did. It really exceeded expectations !! We took our time ordering and had a few courses. We started with a bottle of the valmaggiore Nebbiolo. It was absolutely delicious and was presented by their house som. The yellowtail crudo was slightly disappointing, as I felt the soppresata over powered the fish and it was served at lower temperature than I would have liked. Caesar salad was delicious, love the touch of lemon. Could have used some freshly ground pepper on top. For my main I got the spicy lobster rigatoni with gluten free pasta. The food was delicious as usual, but the service has definitely slipped. There was no one to check on us if we needed anything and only showed up when the bill was due. I would think twice about going here at this point. I feel like the restaurant needs some serious work on service, especially based on the prices. When the manager asked us how our experience was, we told for the food was good, but the service was extremely slow. She seemed to have a total surprise look on her face and offered no solutions.
