The duck on top of the cabbage salad is generous. Duck doesn't have the gamey smell which is great! The dressing on the salad is perfect. The dipping sauce for the duck is a bit sweat but no worries don't dip that much then. Easy. Take a bite of the duck after barely dipping in the sauce, hold it. Not an expert on duck, but I have been here two times now and enjoyed both meals. The first i went on a Friday afternoon - just me and my mom in the whole place. The second time I went this past Sunday and there was a line with a list! Had number 6 I believe which is mi vit kho. Duck was slightly on the cooked side so not as tender, and soup was flavorful though dark (I guess some people don't like that but I do!) There was a short wait as the restaurant is a little bit on the smaller side but we were seated quickly. I had the Bun Mang with Goi Vit which is the bamboo noodle soup with a side of duck salad. The soup itself wasn't all that special, I've had better flavored ones elsewhere and I felt the one here was kind of plain tasting and didn't really capture and compliment the bamboo taste well. For the duck salad you had the option of choosing it with just duck meat or a combination of duck meat and organs. I ended up choosing just duck meat and they prepared the duck pretty well, it was nice and juicy where it needed to be and cooked quite well. There was a lot of skin and fat on the duck but that's somewhat to be expected. The portion size was also quite large! The broth was definitely way too salty for me, and the dry noodles had a sauce that was too sweet. However, they do cook duck decently, and they give HUGE portions. Their duck was generally more tender and moist than most other restaurants, and they give you two legs instead of just one. Mi Quang is a Vietnamese dish that contains rice noodles dyed yellow by turmeric, shrimp, and pork. The broth is supposed to be intense, almost like a sauce, so only a very small amount is added. Generally, restaurants will place the broth on the side so that it is to your taste. They have the broth inside the noodles already, which is fine. However, it is a little too salty, even for typical Mi Quang broth. Also, they cook the pork until it's soft, but traditional Mi Quang uses less tender pork. Service: 4 The wait staff is decent. They are patient when they take your order, and they don't seem to rush you when you eat. My main gripe is that it's CASH ONLY. Ambiance: 4 The plaza has a decently sized parking lot, but it might be a little hard to find parking if the Chinese restaurant next door has an event. If you love duck and yet somehow haven't been to a restaurant whose name just translates to 'Duck Duck Duck Restaurant', you'd better remedy that ASAP! (All the non-duck reviews for this place are confusing. It literally says 'Duck Duck Duck' at the top of the menu and you're ordering chicken or mi quang? Why?) My mom and I ordered the crispy duck over egg noodles, dry, and the bamboo egg noodle soup with steamed duck salad on the side. This $22 order easily fed both of us for multiple meals. I suggest opening the container with the crispy duck in it as soon as you receive it, or it will get soggy, which was my only quibble and not really the restaurant's fault. Otherwise, everything is wonderful. Thick tender slices of duck (in the salad) and a huge similarly tender drumstick (in the crispy order) are as expertly prepared as you could hope for. The broth, packaged separately, is rich and gamy, and the noodles springy. They also wrapped up some pickled bamboo shoots (not to be confused with the dried bamboo shoots for the soup) and some impossibly crisp raw bok choy. They don't skimp on the sauce, either - I think in total we ended up with three different kinds of sauces to experiment with: the sweet vinegar fishy salad dressing, a kind of Hoisinny sweet soy, and a tangy chili dip. read more

While the food here was decent, the service was not. The wait times for our drinks alone (a pot of hot tea) were like 25 min, and 40 minutes to get 5 bowls of duck noodle soup. Their tea also tasted like soap, so we told the lady who worked there. After she smelled the tea, she said it must've been the soap inside the cups and then took them away. My parents went here before and said the last time they ordered tea here, it tasted like chlorine. So never again. I have only been here once. I was referred by a friend as I was craving Bun Mang Vit soup. It's a small place but not busy when I came on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered on bun mang vit which is a vermicelli noodle soup with duck and dried bamboo shoots. It is served with a cabbage salad with roasted peanuts, duck and a ginger sweet fish sauce. The sauce was good. They don't have the Viet mam tom which is a shrimp paste so that knocked off one star for me. The duck was tender and moist and salad was very good and plentiful. I had to knock another star off for sweetened broth. Maybe just a personal liking but I don't like soup broths that are sweetened with sugar.
