The dish and its good portion size (particularly small) is always rich in flavor and hearty to consume! The workers here often check in with us to see how we are doing and respond quick when we ask for extra items, very nice individuals. My friend brought me here to try out the bbh. We also had the banh bot lot and banh beo. The restaurant itself is pretty standard and service is pretty quick. The banh beo had a good texture and was pretty good. I was excited for the banh bot lot but it fell kinda short. I'm not a fan when they leave the shell on the shrimp and it just tasted okay. I guess it's hard to beat when it's homemade from the aunties. The bbh was also okay. I think I'm used to more deeper flavors so I had to add some fish sauce. Such a small homey spot for BBH! My mom and I are huge Bun Bo Hue lovers so we stopped by to try this place. The parking lot was small, but we scored a spot. The staff are so kind and attentive and were quick with taking our order as well as bringing our dishes! Both my step dad and I ordered the Bun Bo Hue and my mom got the Mi Quang. There was plenty of meat in my bowl. Beef brisket, beef meatball, one pork knuckle a few cubes of blood. The soup was ok not as spicy as I liked and it was missing lemon grass. Not the worst bowl of Bun Bo Hue it was adequate. My mom's Mi Quang had little meat. And there were tomatoes in the soup which isn't an ingredient for the soup. It was just ok. And my mom ordered a nem nuong plate to go which are all the ingredients that you roll up yourself. The rolls were ok. Service was fine. There were only two other tables of customers so our server was attentive. I would give this place another shot and try something else. read more

I been here a couple of times only because I went next door, Healthy Life massage, to get a 90 minute massage. I agree with Cody L., the bun bo hue lacks flavor even when I added more of the chili oil. Compared to the others that I had at other restaurants, this place lacks the flavor. It has a lot of meat but is overcooked and the pork blood is so over cooked, is like a sponge or a dry tofu texture. I also ordered a Thai ice tea and that is not fresh, is from powdered milk. Fresh Thai tea, you can actually taste the black tea, you can tell by the color of it also. The waitress recommended that I tried their new item menu. I didn't know what it was but is basically a summer rolls. It has a sweet pork, sliced cucumbers, carrots a crunchy stick dough and some herbs wrapped in a rice paper. It was ok, they didn't fully wet the rice paper to give it that chewy texture, the rice paper was still dry in most areas and it felt like I was eating paper lol is hard to tear apart and chew. 2 pieces for $6 is kinda pricey, for an unfinished dish, the dipping sauce was ok. If you're ever in my area in La Puente, go to Oh Pho Love, they have the best summer rolls. And their food is really good there. Seems like Bun Bo Way only specializes in noodles, they do have 1 rice dish, the pork chops. Maybe next time, I'll try something else. Their Bun Bo is ok, nothing special, but also nothing too bad. We tried twice, no idea why some of my friends and my mom like this place. The 1 star is for their dishonesty. I forgot my AirPod on the table after having breakfast there and called them right away when I was driving to work, hoping they can save it for me so I can pick it up later after work. Someone who is actually Hue recommended this place to me. She said her family is very picky with their Bun Bo Hue and they only like it from here. So I had to try it out. It was definitely delicious. The flavors were all there, and you can definitely smell it as soon as you walk in the door. I really liked the Hue Cha Lua which you can tell is not just regular cha lua. I also got the Banh Beo which came in the little dishes and the topping was good and fresh. The fish Sauce was a little plain for me, but I think that's how it's suppose to be. I really like the Bu'n Bo' here, and I have eaten at many restaurants to know the difference. Bu'n Bo' is my favorite, and they do it well here! I eat here regularly!!! Soup flavor is great, you can always add additional chili and sauce to your taste liking. But their based soup is solid! (Don't take other bad reviews to heart, since some people might not have a proper taste palette.) Meat is tender, pork legs are good size and great as well. And the blood cubes are well gelatinous and fresh (not hard or crumbly like other cheap places. They also include all the proper veggies to pair with bu'n bo'. Go check them out, they do a proper job with Bu'n Bo'! The restaurant could definitely use a facelift, but it is clean and organized. read more

Solid bowl of bun bo hue. Make sure to eat the greens with it to fully enjoy the dish. You should be getting a plate of greens for every 2 bowls so make sure to ask if they don't. You will need to ask for napkins, they are not readily available at the table The vibe is like your typical Viet restaurant where they play Viet music shows. There is a man who works there who resembles a blobfish who will stare at you creepily while you eat but it's part of the charm. Sometimes he'll say snarky things for no reason but unless you speak Viet you won't catch it. We denied ordering any drinks once and he smirked and told us we could just order boba across the street then if we're thirsty. A group of 2 came in and said they were a group of 4 and he muttered, "Are the other two sitting at a different table right now?" Then the other 2 people in the party walked in to meet the first two. Finally got a new Bun Bo Hue spot. I was eating at Vua Bun Bo for awhile but they changed something and it got too salty. And Ngu Binh is too spicy. I'm Not sure how I missed this place that's apparently been here for 30 years! I walked in and ordered to go. I only waited less than 5 mins and my order was ready. When hearing up at home, it's always best to stove top warm up the soup and pour the hot soup over your noodles TWICE for a delicious hot bowl. By twice , I mean dump the soup back into the pot and let it boil up again then pour back into your bowl. Microwave isn't the same. Portion is just right. Meat could be a little softer but not a deal breaker. 2 bowls for like $3x. I'll be coming back for a while as long as things stay consistent. read more
