This was the 4th place we called because the other 3 either didn't answer or told us they ran out/ not taking anymore orders Place was in a large plaza, easy to find. My friend introduced me to banh nam hue and it's genuinely become one of my favorite foods. I crave it all the time, specifically from here. It's also a little difficult to get your hands on elsewhere, lol. Although I no longer live in OC, I always make it a point to visit this place when I'm in the area. The owners are super nice and quick to deliver, but I don't know if I'd be able to efficiently order without my friend's company because she's able to communicate with them in Vietnamese (there is a language barrier, and I am the most whitewashed Filipino ever) unless I show them a picture of what I want, but I'm for sure going to keep coming back. Not to mention, they're CHEAAAAAAP. So much food at such a great price. I always order as much banh nam hue I can reasonably binge within a week of my visitation, lol-- but I've also tried their bun bo hue (beef & pork blood noodle soup) and that was super good too. Giant portion for the low! For a small shop they've got a decent dining space. Kept pretty clean as well, they also provide condiments and utensils. I had tried the egg rolls at a family party and at first bite, I was hooked! The egg rolls are huge! They're really flavorful and crispy. There is even a whole shrimp inside! It has so much flavor that you don't really need to dip it in fish sauce. The service is pretty quick. I got there and ordered 25 rolls and it took about 20 minutes for a fresh batch. You can also ask to get them uncooked so you can fry them up at home. They're super affordable too, it only cost about $36 for the 25. They also sell other soup dishes but it is really small inside. There is only about 6 tables inside so I see a lot of people take the food to go. read more

A friend of mine brought some egg rolls to a party and I had to ask where he got it from! He told me he bought them from Lien Hue 1 and I've been coming here since. They are crispy, delicious, packed with meat and a whole shrimp in each roll. I live 45 minutes away and will drive to get these. They warm up great in the air fryer as well. read more

Food is good. Egg rolls are the best and crispy just have to order ahead of time since a lot of people going over there for their parties.

Food was fine -- on the blander side but price is ok (usually 3 rolls for their to-go dishes are $6). Funnily enough, the sauce that comes with the rolls make it blander vs without it. My issue is with customer service. If a food business is going to be rude, at least have decent food to make up for it. Checked on here to see if apple pay was accepted, but might as well not have been included. I usually come here every week when I'm working for a quick pick-up, often with cash because that's preferred. The one time I don't have it on me, they gave attitude the second I asked if they had apple pay. When I said that I didn't have cash on me, that's when they gave in and harshly directed me to tap my apple pay behind the counter. my Vietnamese co-worker treated us to mien xao a couple of times so I asked her where is this place that makes these fabulous noodles. i went there one time I was in Garden Grove and it didnt disappoint. it's a little food to go place that mainly Vietnamese speakers know about. If only more of these places have translations they will sell more food because most of us non- Vietnamese speakers love their food but get frustrated trying to order. read more

I don't know if anyone else knows this but Lien Hue is an OG in catering. Lien Hue provides multiple dishes at such an affordable price that I don't really order from anywhere else. Due to inflation they did increase their catering trays by $10 but that isn't bad when you taste their food. Because they're so affordable, they do well under stress when customers order multiple catering trays like I try my best not to do the day of but they have never said no to me! They recently opened up their #1 location for sit in dine in after Covid and the restaurant is still a little too small for my liking to sit down and eat but getting their Bun Bo Togo is a great idea because it's gooooooood. Lol I believe they have 2 other locations but #1 is down the street from my second home so I usually order here rather than the other places! read more

My wife and I love to try different small mom and pop restaurants. This is for Lien Hue 1 only, the place is small and tight but we are there for the food. My wife and I each had the bun bo hue, we thought it was edible but was missing something, I needed more sate sauce to make it to my tasting but my wife can't handle the spice so she ate it as is. It does have a lot of the usual proteins that came with it. If you want a better tasting version go to Hues Kitchen. My kid had the banh cash which he said it was good and the broth was sweet. We had their egg rolls which were crunchy with meat fillings and tasted very good. I didn't like the way they charged a dollar for each cup of water. For that they get a 3 star but the food is around a 4 star. read more

I got their Bun Bo Hue it was good just like other places I been to. But for $14 they actually gives enough of noodles and meat but not enough pork blood to me. OVERALL: 3.5/5 stars! I got the bun bo hue here and it was pretty good. I would give it a 4/5. I really enjoyed the flavor of the broth, as well as how the noodles absorbed the flavor from it. The atmosphere of the place isn't the best. It's good if you're coming in for something quick. This isn't really a place for a long sit down meal. The restaurant also does a lot of to go food, so there are a lot of people coming in and out to pick up orders, so it can get crowded sometimes because the restaurant really isn't that big. The service isn't the best, but it's not the worst. Just don't come in here expecting to have long conversations or anything like that haha. You kinda just go in, order at the front, and then sit down at a table if you're eating in store. read more

This was my "go to" eggroll place for large catering orders for parties for years. I went and bought a tray of eggrolls for a recent family get together and placed my order over the phone and gave them ample time before the pick up. This has happened twice already to me...the first time I thought it was a fluke or bad day for them and decided to give it another shot. I got there on time and not late and the place was not crowded to where I needed to wait long. My eggrolls were all cold! Usually they're hot and freshly made... but my eggrolls were cold and not one was hot or warm...just cold like they were sitting out for awhile and some tastes stale is what some of my family members said. I am so disappointed in Lien Hue at this location on Euclid and probably will go to a different location or a different catering place to get my eggrolls and other Hue cuisines. read more

Ordered eggrolls for a party. They dont speak english and their viet accent is pretty hard to understand. I called two days before and ordered 75 eggrolls fried for 8am pickup saturday - it turned out to be like 55 bucks which is like 73 cents per eggroll. When we got there the order wasnt ready yet and i could tell they forgot to make our order because the lady was legit confused and went to the back multiple times looking for our order slip but even though they forgot to make it - they must have a stash in the back cause she packaged and gave us the 75 eggrolls. Nice and crispy and decently filled - didnt give us any nuoc cham though. I will probably order from lien hue #3 in bolsa area next time because they take credit card. The lady was super nice and answered my questions sincerely. They have the best "cha Hue" imho, much better than the other famous place with name starting with an H. Their "cha Oc" is really good as well. I'm from NorCal so I bought a dozen of each kind before flying back to the Bay Area.
