I was looking for a good mi vit tiem (duck noodle soup) through this place didn't have that many reviews I wanted to give it a try. This place also had a 50% off on there mi quang (dry yellow noodle with pork and shrimp) if you want to try that. For there duck noodle soup you can either get dry, with soup, fried, or braised duck. You can also buy the whole braised duck here. They are pretty friendly and polite here. The restaurant seem to have a constant pace of people coming in. Food came out pretty quickly. The soup has a nice flavor the braised duck was nice and tender I liked it way better than the fried version. The fried duck was a little dry for my taste. Sad they ran out of the duck innards. We order two vermicelli noddles and one porridge with just the vit, and while taking our order the guy was scratching his balls?!?!!! it's unprofessional and just overall disgusting. He then proceeded to bring us our food with the salad even though we specially ordered it without. The chicken was clearly not the same as it was before it looked like it was recooked multiple times and they put oil on the skin to make it look better???? I could barely eat it because the oil smell was way too strong, we ordered to-go and instead of putting the to- go stuff onto the chair next to my mother he try shoving it next to her while she was eating. And that wasn't even the worst part, when we told the person at the cashier all she said was "we barely even have any to sell that's why we're recooking it" HUH!? what kind of response is that. I think it is just my personal preference, but I really do not like it here. The food here does not interest me at all. I ordered the chicken curry with rice. Unfortunately, I only ate the rice with it mixed in the curry sauce. The chicken was really soggy and really fatty. It was really weird for the chicken skin to be super slimy and smooth... I could literally feel the goosebumps on the chicken's skin. I just couldn't do it. Like I said, it is just my personal preference that I can't eat the meat like that. I stopped in to order some duck porridge for my mom on a Sunday night. The restaurant was pretty packed with about three available tables (technically one bc two were not cleared). I had ordered the large duck porridge with meat and offals. After about 30 minutes my order was ready. When my mom opened the container, we noticed that it was just duck meat and no offals. They got my order wrong! The food itself was okay but nothing amazing. I noticed people eating a variety of dishes (mi, com ga, etc) and not just chao (porridge). I probably won't come back unless my mom has another craving for chao vit and we don't feel like making it at home. I was craving for porridge today but both my go-to places are closed on Tuesday. My friend told me to try out this place so I went. My first impression was somewhat uncomfortable because the place is empty when we walked in. There was like 1 table of 2 guests and that's about it. The whole time it was kinda odd, since it is so empty, the server guy, probably owner, just sat close by and stared at us eating . If not, he would tell the lady what to do around. I don't know if he wants to sit down and chat with us or what ? lol. Anyway, overall I think their porridge is decent, it is good but a little too liquidy, it needs to be a thicker than that.
