    Two shredded chicken tacos
    Lauren K.

This place is amazing!! The food was some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Their tacos are delicious consisting of homemade tortillas cooked in front of you and amazing shredded chicken that was juicy and flavorful. The restaurant is clean and everyone is very friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be coming back.

While on a road trip we decided to stop by for some food. It was our first time here so we asked how we ordered because there was a lot going on with the menu. The employee just said "that's the entrees and you choose the meat." She didn't really explain it very well but we figured it out. I got a bowl with carne asada and my gf got the chicken enchiladas. The food was amazing and I love that you can choose so many toppings. The agua frescas are also delicious and refreshing. Not sure if we were ever be back but if they open on in San Diego we definetly will go.

Went to try something different and I got my food to go. I got the tortilla soup and the papa loca for my dad. The papa loca (I don't have a photo) were with steak. They had no beans, but had rice, both types of cheeses, and other items. My dad enjoyed his meal. I got the Tortilla soup which came in a 32oz container, which was a great size, I was able to eat it for dinner and lunch the next day. I put my soup in another container when I got home. What I enjoyed that all the toppings were in another container and not in the soup, which was awesome. Also we received a bag of chips, which I also added to my soup later for extra crunch. The place was clean when I went in but I didn't really stay long. The staff were so nice and accommodating and even kept up a conversation with me. I will be going back for that tortilla soup, especially in this cold weather.

This place is amazing! I came to Vallejo for a small errand and their food is great! BYO bar with speciality items available. We got flautas and a BYO chicken bowl. Pictures below! I love the freshness and the authenticity of the food. Only cost us $44 with both and two large Agua Frescas. It's not watered down or like that Sol company we see at main chain Mexican restaurants. They are so authentic they don't even give tickets for the food the chefs know what they be doing. Ask for Raul or Adrian cause they are the kindest people. They answered all of our questions and even gave recommendations. I had to ask for Togo boxes because we were so full! And the vibe! Loved hearing the cultural music and seeing different tv shows available. Yall did your big one!

Service is welcoming with a fast turnaround. When indecisive just say, "With everything". Nachos were tasty and generous in size that could easily feed a people of two. A fan of the Quessabirria Taco with Consommé as well. Excellent food without the excess of a full dining experience.

Asada street taco, Al pastor taco

Wow. It's been a long time since I've been brave enough to walk into a taqueria without having a recommendation first. I will be back! Great service, and I was really happy when I saw the corn tortillas being pressed and heated right in front of me. I will never be able to eat packaged tortillas again. I ordered two street tacos, one asada and one al pastor and they were stuffed beyond stuffed. SO tasty! I love spicy salsa, so I got the habanero in addition to the regular mild red sauce provided with the chips. That habanero salsa is the bomb. High on the list of favorites. And this whole platter only cost me $10

My wife and I like this place. Being able to customize your food is fun. I ordered the Chicken Tortilla soup yesterday. Very filling. Full of chicken and veggies. Broth was really good with a good amount of cheese. Service is always friendly. Place is always clean. Good value.

I was in the area and this spot happened to be nearby so here I am. I ordered the Quesabirria tacos. Lemme tell yall, the portions are huge. The food tasted good, however it didn't have the cheesiness that I'm used to having when I order Quesabirria from other places. Regardless, it was still solid just different. This spot kind of reminds me of a chipotle in which you can pick what you want on your food, but an authentic version. The restaurant itself has a lot of seating and there is a lot of parking available. Anyways, try it out if you like. :)

Casual restaurant serving up Mexican comfort food made to order burritos, tacos, and rice and beans or however you want it. Reasonable price. Plenty of seats inside, outdoor dining also available. Ok customer service.

Service was A+. Food for being a fast food Mexican joint-- A++!!! A little pricey for two of us. $54 for 2 burritos, 1 agua Fresca, and a soda. But next time you're in a pinch a need a quick Mexican reco, come here!! Didn't care for the Vacaville location, but Vallejo tasted truly authentic.

My family of 4 moved to Vallejo 18 mons ago and we've been searching for a good Mexican restaurant ever since. We discovered Que Onda! Tacobar, a fast-casual restaurant, in the Gateway Plaza shopping center on Apr 8 and my whole family loved the place. We tried the soft tacos, enchiladas, Cal burrito and taco salad and all were delicious. Orders are plated right in front of you at the bar and toppings/sides are added to-order in assembly-line style (like at a Subway). At the end, Modelo on tap is available, along with soft drinks. Seating in the bright and colorful dining room is self-serve. Counter service was fast and friendly and prices were moderate, in line with most fast-casual establishments. My whole family agreed we've finally found our go-to place for fast and delicious Mexican cuisine in Vallejo!

My favorite was their chicken tinga, which reminded me of the chicken burritos I used to get back in my hometown across the bridge. I immediately told myself I'd have to come back and order a chicken tinga burrito. A few weeks later, I finally returned on a Sunday while they were serving their World Cup Sunday brunch. I ordered a chicken tinga super burrito and a California burrito to take home. I was really excited to dig in, but when I opened the bag, the "super" burrito looked more like a regular burrito. The flavors were still great, but the filling was disappointing. There was barely any chicken or sour cream, and I had to eat more than halfway through before I finally got a decent balance of meat, rice, and beans. I even had to add my own sour cream because there was so little inside. As for the California burrito, it was just okay. The fries were stale, and there wasn't enough sour cream or guacamole, which made the burrito pretty dry. It honestly reminded me more of a breakfast burrito than a California burrito, and I wasn't a fan. Overall, the flavors are definitely there, and it's clear the food has potential. However, the portions felt skimpy for the price, making the burritos feel overpriced. I'll give Sol y Sazon another chance because I know they're capable of making delicious food, but if my next experience is like this one, they'll likely lose me as a customer.

The line was considerably long around 7:30 p.m. so it took a while for us to order and receive our food. I like that the tacos here are single tortilla -- as opposed to double tortillas, so the filling to tortilla ratio feels a lot more balanced. For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was absolutely massive! I definitely would only recommending ordering a quesadilla if you're sharing it, or if you're coming with a massive appetite. Overall, Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño was a nice gem we randomly stumbled upon while routing to In-N-Out for burgers. Between the two, I would certainly save my stomach space for tacos from Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño next time.

One thing that caught me off guard is that there are no prices posted anywhere. They simply tell you your total at the end, and in my experience, the prices are higher than I expected. To help others, here's what I was charged: Aguas frescas (Horchata, Strawberry Horchata, Piña, Jamaica): $7 each Burrito: $18 Mulita: $9 each Torta: $13 Huarache: $16 The food itself is very good, especially when they're not busy. When it's slower, the portions are generous and everything seems to be made with more care. During the rush, though, I've noticed the portions get smaller and the food feels a little rushed, which is disappointing considering the prices. One of my favorite things is the salsa bar. They have a great variety of salsas and toppings, including cucumbers, pickled cabbage, and other fresh additions, and you can help yourself. They also had four different aguas frescas available when I visited: Horchata, Strawberry Horchata, Piña, and Jamaica, which was a nice selection. I do think the customer service could be improved. A little more friendliness and better communication, especially about pricing, would make a big difference. Overall, the food is tasty and they offer a great selection, but I'd really like to see prices posted and more consistency with portions, especially during busy hours. Hopefully this review helps anyone wondering what to expect before ordering.

We order ahead because we're on a tight schedule -- I'm a busy, involved parent getting him to the gym after school. A few weeks back, despite ordering plain chicken, his plate came out with pico de gallo. He won't eat it that way. I didn't have time to drive back, so I let it go. The following week, we ordered in person and the waitress assured me she double-checked the order. My son's meal came out correctly -- but my plate was made plain instead of how I ordered it. Not a big deal. I can eat it. I called simply to let them know there was a mix-up -- not demanding anything, not asking for free food. What I wasn't prepared for was being called a liar. I was told the order was made correctly and that if I wanted it fixed I had to bring everything back immediately -- including the salsas. I explained we were on a time schedule for my son's gym session. Instead of understanding, I was told my "games won't fly" there and that I was being a "Karen" looking for free food. My son was hungry and upset during the call. She heard him. We drove back anyway. I placed the plate on the counter, and once she saw it, the mistake was obvious. Only then did she offer to remake it. At that point it wasn't about the food -- it was about being accused of lying and being publicly disrespected in front of my child. Weeks later, I noticed the order was never refunded. I had to dispute the charge with American Express to get my money back. I've supported this restaurant for years. This wasn't about a wrong plate -- mistakes happen. It was about how we were treated when trying to resolve it. I can't return after being called dishonest and a beggar over a simple order issue.

The food is very, very good, the prices are reasonable, and the portions you get are worth it. It's kind of hard to miss when driving by, but they also have a small sign near the street letting you know they're there. I had known about this taco truck for years but never stopped until last year, and now I wish I had gone sooner. I ordered a super burrito and a few tacos. One thing I really like is that they actually list the length of their burritos on the menu. That's a nice touch because sometimes you order a "super burrito" somewhere else and end up with something small. Here, you know exactly what you're getting. Out of all the taco trucks in Vallejo, this is easily one of my top three burrito trucks. I try not to burn myself out eating at the same place too often, so I like switching between favorites, and this is definitely one I keep coming back to. I almost always get the steak burrito. One thing I really love is the pico de gallo they use. They use red onions, which gives it a nice touch, and every time I get it, I can really taste the cilantro in the pico de gallo throughout the burrito. The steak and chicken street tacos were also really good but the burrito is always my favorite! Parking is never an issue because they share a parking lot with an auto body shop during off-hours, so there's usually plenty of space. They also have cones to help guide cars entering and exiting the lot. When your food is ready, they call your order number over the microphone/intercom system, then ask if you want red or green sauce and chips. Overall, I've always had a great experience here. If you're in Vallejo and looking for a good taco truck, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Since I was hungry…read moreand wanted to grab something to eat before running errands, I finally decided to stop in. When you walk in, you seat yourself and a server brings you a menu. My waiter was really friendly and welcoming. He checked on me right away, asked if I knew what I wanted to order, and brought out water and chips. The customer service throughout my visit was excellent. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with TVs all around, a full bar, and outdoor seating. I chose a corner table where I could watch one of the soccer games on TV, which made for a relaxing lunch. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. The salsa had nice flavor without being overly spicy. I ordered the steak quesadilla plate, which came with refried beans, Spanish rice, pico de gallo, sour cream, and lettuce. My food arrived in about 10-15 minutes. The best thing on the plate was the refried beans. They were easily my favorite part of the meal. They were flavorful, creamy. The Spanish rice was also tasty. The pico de gallo was served over shredded lettuce, which was fine, although I would have preferred it on the side. The sour cream came in a small cup, which wasn't my favorite, i'm not sure if it was buttery sour cream, but it just didn't taste right. The guacamole might've been my second favorite thing on the plate.!! The steak quesadilla itself was good, but it didn't quite wow me like a quesadilla usually does. It was generously filled with steak, but I wish it had more cheese. I like my quesadillas to have a perfect balance of melted cheese and meat, and this one leaned much heavier on the steak. Even so, the steak had good flavor, and I still enjoyed the meal overall. The price was reasonable too. I believe everything came to just under $20, which felt like a good value. Before I left, they gave me a piece of candy with the receipt, which was a small but thoughtful touch that I appreciated. As I was walking out, I noticed they have different daily specials posted outside. I hadn't seen them before coming in, so now I definitely have another reason to come back and try something different. Overall, I had a great first experience. The friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, good value, and delicious refried beans made this an enjoyable visit. I'll definitely be back to check out those daily specials.
