Unfortunately, not the best tortas or burrito I've had. The tortas were pretty wet, slathered in a lot of watery mayo, barely any meat in there, and mostly shredded lettuce in that mayo. I'm thinking the tortas and burrito were wet from the lettuce making the mayo watery. The burrito was also mostly shredded lettuce with a little bit of meat as well. I ordered the al pastor torta and even the flavoring of the meat was not really good. I could barely taste the al pastor bc there was very little in it and it was not flavorful. I love the al pastor tacos from data point bc the flavors are amazing. The al pastor here is sub par. I do like the pickled carrots and jalapeños they give with your meal. read more

The service was awful. Picked up an online order and half the order was missing. Called them back and they said they were short staffed and couldn't deliver the rest of the order. Absolutely amazing, some of the best authentic Mexican food I have found in San Antonio! Both my girlfriend and I ordered the torta milanesa and we were blown away. She is from El Paso and says she has not found anywhere outside of El Paso or the Rio Grande Valley that serves a torta milanesa (one of her favorite meals) so it was like a little slice of home for her. The buns were perfect, the green salsa was incredibly flavorful, the red salsa packed some serious heat, and it all came together for an amazing meal. Definitely on my short list of favorite Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, we will be back soon! read more

Stop looking for that perfect torta in San Antonio. I've found it. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with an extremely sweet lady who only spoke Spanish and the smell of carnita. We had the torta cubana & torta bisteak and both were so packed with fresh ingredients. This restaurant does not skimp out. The meats were packed with flavor and I was in heaven. Juicy and tender with soft warm buttery bread. Restaurant was extremely clean and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back. I can't think of anything negative to stay except that it's not quite in central San Antonio but in Leon Valley. However, Leon Valley has a great running trail so I suppose I have two reasons to visit this side of town now! read more

So by previous reviews on here, the food quality has gone down bad. Just like little places that are gems and were good in very little time. They start raising there prices ridiculous. Just for one 1 torta and 1 order of tacos 16$ freaking ridiculous. And it wasn't even good the meat to both our orders was very dry. This was on my wishlist for a long time and I finally made it out here this afternoon after stopping by (dragged to-lol) a crafts fair in Helotes. This place is anchored right on the corner of a strip mall, just as you turn onto Eckhert from Bandera. Small shop with a couple of outdoor tables that looked inviting, but it was too windy to enjoy it, so we opted for inside seating. As we came in, we dodged a lot of to-go traffic, a good sign. I expected to order at the counter and find my own way, but the hostess came out to us with menus and let us choose a place and order our drinks. Gringo alert! You better have at least a street vocabulary of Espanol or at least a good accent. Otherwise, you'll end up pointing. Torta Cubana for me, Torta Pollo for wifey with a side of papas fritas to split. French fries were excellent with a great seasoning; hot and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. That's french fry erotica baby. And to top it, the hostess put out a plate of sliced jalepenos and a carafe of green mystery sauce (looked like very smooth salsa). Of course we knew what the peppers were for, but we weren't quite sure about the sauce/salsa. We put a little on the side and dredged our fries through it. Wow! was it good (and hot) with the fries. Sandwiches were excellent, fresh ingredients and lots of them. I dissed the bread on delivery as big hamburger buns. My bad, they were authentic Mexican and delicious. Toasted on the bottom - yum. On a side note, we both scratched our head and wondered why we were expecting a pocket-like bread? Prob saw it on D3. -1 star for some funky tasting iced tea. Bad water or bad pipes. Tortas are big and the flavor combinations are so tasty! (i.e. Torta Cubana) Oh, and they have hamburgesas mexicanas.. you know what i'm talking about...the mexican hamburger... with ham and avocado and practically falling apart as you eat it. it's just like buying them on the streets of mexico... the french fries cost extra but they are soo worth it. the place itself can use a little more tlc... its usually warm in there, so they have fans and the bathroom needs a lot of improvement. but the food is great so don't pass it up. read more

Well what can I say about this place? The tortas were good but with a four star rating I was expecting so much more. I split a cubana and milanesa torta with someone else. The bread was great and on the cubana torta the pork had no flavoring. It did not taste bad but I would have liked some seasoning of some sort. Same thing is true for the milanesa. It basically was a fried piece of meat with little to no salt and pepper. The complimentary chips were very good. The food is as good as the staff, and as you can tell, not good. You would think that something as simple as asking for your order to be fixed when it was given to you incorrectly, would be a simple exchange, but no; I was accused of speaking too "weird" and not paying attention. This was already a red flag when the lady begrudgingly handed me the correct order and even stared daggers at me while i opened the bag to make sure everything was right. After i got home and took a bite of the taco, it had like no meat! This was the case for all tacos too! I decided to look past it since i also ordered a torta which to my surprise wasn't a complete failure, but still had lettuce even after i asked for it on the side.... Just save your money folks, even if the owners cared enough about making their food good, they definitely don't care about you. I am very grateful that this place does delivery through grubhub. I myself have grown a fondness for tortas recently but I will have to say this place misses the mark. I tried the torta cubano and it disgraces the name of the torta sandwich and the Cubano sandwich. The bread was thick and spongey and felt microwaved rather than toasted. The pork was flavorless bland and greasy the vegetables were sad and wilted. The ham on the sandwich tasted like Oscar Meyer lunchmeat. The bacon just tasted like oil. The salsa that came with it simply tasted like some chili powder mixed with corn starch and water and the fries I ordered on the side weren't seasoned whatsoever. I am very upset and dissatisfied with this meal and I don't think I will be eating food from here again. read more

Decided to drive across town since this was the only place my wife could find that served tacos al vapor. My wife had a sampling of several of the tacos al vapor and I had the Torta Cubana. She seemed happy enough with the tacos and even ordered two more since with this style they are not very filling with only three. My torta was very well filled with meat and tasted great. These tacos reminded me of clubbing in Juarez in the late 90s. They were greasy and almost see through. The way they are meant to be made. The Tortas are very good some of the best I have had. However, the el vapor tacos have some work yet. I was excited to see that them on the menu because I have no found them outside of Mexico. Hoping they will work on them to make them a little more memorable next time. The chile sauces are really good! At times seem to not quite ready for customers at opening. Ive passed Que Torta a hundred times n have tried to remind myself to stop n try this place. So i finally did n was dissapointed....dissapointed that Ive waited so long to stop!!! Had the carne asada torta. Everything bout this torta was great from the bread which was perfectly soft to the meat. Lady friend had the carne asada burrito which was also good. It had a little heat to it cuz it came with s little chile so if u dont like spicy ask them to leave out the chile. We also ordered an al pastor quesadilla. Sooo good. Some if the best al pastor ive tasted in San Antonio. Will definately have to come back for sl pastor tacos. But the real hidden gem of this place was the red salsa. The owner said its a recipe from Pueblo Mexico. I asked for a straw so i could drink it right from the bowl!! So good n just enough heat to give you that sweaty scalp feeling. Really tempted to drown all my food in it. They dont serve you a basket of chips with it like most taco places do but the owner says he'd gladly make some chips for us for our dipping pleasure. I also hated leaving the unused salsa behind with the thought that it would just be poured down the sink so i suggest you ask for a little to go container so u can take it home n enjoy.
