I came in with three other friends on a Sunday morning, and there weren't many customers in the huge, well-lit space. I love how all the decor is so dedicatedly bee-themed, and it's so spacious inside. The staff were incredibly friendly, upbeat, and informative about everything on the menu. Prices are a tad high, but you do get what you pay for. Beecher's cheese and berry crumpet: 4/5. The textures were all very similar--the soft crumpet didn't complement the soft cheese and soft berries super well, but the FLAVORS ARE SO GOOD! Smoked salmon crumpet: 5/5. A generous serving of salmon and pesto. The salmon has super rich flavor and paired well with the creamy pesto. A must try! Avocado toast: 4/5. Not super unique for an avocado toast, but still pretty good! They give plenty of avocado (maybe almost too much considering the amount of bread). The mozzarella cheese was a tad mild for the toast, a stronger cheese might have been better. read more

Came on a Saturday around brunch time and it was relatively busy. There aren't many tables for eating, but there are a handful of tables with low chairs that I think are made more for drinking and chatting. I ordered the EPIC nosh with a side salad (you can get grapes or salad on the side for free, berries are +$1) and thought it was tasty and clean, although definitely something you can make at home. Luckily it wasn't too expensive (around $10). Overall it's a cute cafe with good food, good cause, and good service. Will have to try the drinks next time! read more

Got a Nutella crumpet, which was okay, liked the flavor when it was all together however if you took a bite of just one thing for example the crumpet they didn't have much of a flavor. Also got avocado toast, good flavor, nice size came with a side of grapes. Got a hot chocolate, didn't taste burnt like Starbucks sometimes does, rich in flavor. Also got a latte. Drinks sizes were a decent size unlike Starbucks sizes you actually know what you're paying for. Answered any questions we had. The decor is adorable. read more

Very cozy cafe off the side of Clyde Hill! We stopped by here before our hike and found this food very filling. First thoughts: love the bee theme throughout this cafe, and the commitment to donating to charity! This cafe donates all profits to local charities year round. I got the avocado toast with berries. All ingredients tasted particularly fresh, and the avocado toast contained tomatoes and mozzarella balls that accentuated the flavor of the toast. Service was quick and waiters were quite friendly. If your looking for a cute local coffee shop in the Clyde Hill area, this is a great stop (just be careful with your order). I came here with my daughter and she got one of their proclaimed "signature drinks", Mexican hot chocolate, and she could not finish it! It was spicy, weird, and something that I would never buy again. On the other hand, I order the iced latte which was great. It was smooth and didn't lack coffee flavor or feel watered down. I also got a turkey panini which was your standard sandwich, tasted good, and would be great for a quick bite again. The service was phenomenal and there is a good amount of parking along the street despite the relatively small parking lot. I would recommend. read more

What's all the buzz about? Well after passing through for a while already, I finally got to try it. Coffee for a cause? Yes please! I tried the Nutella latte and thankfully I didn't ask for the calorie content and the cup didn't...so it must be zero but it was definitely a delicious treat. They have outdoor seating but we chose to take our drinks and take a little stroll. While there is parking, the lot is a bit odd because it's on the side road so for a few cars trying to get around at once it's a bit tricky but there's street parking as well. read more

This place is truly worth the BUZZ (gotta keep with the bee theme here). The interior is thoughtfully designed with honeycomb-like shelves and floors. It is a great place to get work done or catch up with an old friend. While the food & drinks were a little overpriced, it is justifiable given that they donate a portion of their proceeds to local charities. I got one of their signature sandwiches and fell in love with how perfectly buttery and flaky the bread was! The portion was perfect for a quick breakfast bite. Was there this morning from breakfast with a friend. It was so cold in there I was miserable. The croissant sandwich was good but thin. The drip coffee wasn't available so I bought a juice- $6 for an 8ish ounce juice. I was so cold, even wrapped up in my coat and scarf that my hands were freezing and it took forever to warm up in my toasty car. Noticed a lot of other people bundled up. Although this place is super cute and offers incredibly comfortable seating...I was less than happy when I was told the 16oz coffee with steamed breve in a "for here" cup was not available in a 16 oz size AFTER I paid for it. I accepted it in a 12 oz size even though I paid for a 16 oz cup and tipped 15% because I don't want the interior film of the to go cup in my drink and was planning to enjoy it there. Shortly after, my name for my drink was called. When I arrived for it, it did not have the steamed breve on top so I pointed that out. The barista told me -- while literally touching and tapping on the rim of my cup with her bare finger -- "this is the latte and this americano doesn't have breve bc you can add the half and half over there...". I honestly about fell over as she kept tapping my cup's rim. I was disgusted and couldn't believe she would not realize how gross that was. It's basic health 101!! I explained it was a steamed breve but none of that mattered as I was not going to drink my coffee. I didn't want to get her in trouble but hope someone carefully retrains the staff on basic stuff like this. So I'm sure the coffee was good...but the finger on the rim of my cup was a total health violation!! Common sense people! read more

A bit disappointing. Literally drove 5 miles out of my way because I'd heard good things and menu looked promising. Service was good and place is cute and clean. Got an iced orange mocha which was good but not stirred at all so all the chocolate was on the bottom which is annoying but not a huge deal. Also got the Beecher's & berries crumpet to go. A little small for the price but ingredients are good quality and fresh so that's ok too. However, I LOVE Beecher's so couldn't wait to try this and there was NO cheese Not sure if it's baked into crumpet (if so, you can't taste it) or there was so little you couldn't see or taste it or maybe they just forgot, whatever the case I got it to go so didn't realize until I got back to work & then it was too late to fix it. So basically I just paid about $5 for half of a fancy English muffin with berries. Frustrating! read more

Immediately upon walking into the Queen Bee Cafe we knew that we loved it. The atmosphere was so pleasant, everyone was happy and the breakfast sandwich was incredible! The drip coffee was very good and the mocha was made to perfection. Lovely Place, but too hard to find a table to sit. It looked more like local hangout and hence we waited long for a table to sit after our food was ready. But their yummy food make up for all of it. It's super expensive for what you get. The crumpets look poor themselves, as if they are hidden under fancy toppings. Yes, the toppings were good. But it was like eating toppings all by themselves as crumpets were pretty flat and tiny. Another thing I experienced: I eat vegetarian and I don't like to find pieces of meat in my food. So I asked if they can use parchement paper for warming up the sandwich, and the guy taking the order said "yes we can", so I ordered it. But I saw they didn't and took the sandwich back to him and said that I have asked him before ordering my food and response was remarkable "she started making it before I told." read more

Welcome to the neighborhood. Lovely remodel. The pastries are nice. The challenge they have is service time. It should not take double digit minutes to serve a cappuccino. Pastries should be plated and served immediately. Do they need to hire more people during the busiest times? One certainly can't stop by, grab a coffee and go. It's a destination - which is ok, sometimes. The wine selection is paltry and awful. What they should think about doing is to stock wines from neighborhood wine people. I enjoy a good butter croissant and Queen Bee has a good supplier. Except that they're always sold out before 9 a.m. Management here seems to be terrible at inventory control and unable to stock plain butter croissants for the morning traffic. Their coffee is just competitive with Starbucks: not better or worse, so it's these plus sales that make the business. When you add in the lack of parking, it's really not worth stopping. read more
