I don't live in the area anymore but when I visit I will occasionally get my toes done here. I used to do gel on my toes but switched to regular polish in the last year for the health of nails. The nail tech did a neat job but as always at this place everything was so rushed. There was no waiting in between coats, and they actually kicked me out of the pedicure chair before the service was done because a bunch of people had walked in and they didn't want to lose the sales. The top coat ended up getting applied by the door of the shop and there was quite literally no wait time in between coats. This was 2 hours ago now, I had the ac in my car running on my feet the entire drive home and the polish is still gummy and wet because there was no time to dry between coats. What happened to the little fans to help dry coats faster? Or just allowing a little bit of time between coats as you're supposed to? I do respect these women as they pretty much all work 9-6 7 days a week. But I just can't justify the money spent here anymore when they're rushing your service to turn out as many people as possible and not taking pride in their work.

When I sat down, the person helping me convinced me that she could redo all of my toes so they would be the same color. Before agreeing, I specifically asked how long it would take because I explained that I had very limited time. I was told it would be very quick, so I agreed. Unfortunately, I ended up being there for about 50 minutes and left with nothing that I originally asked for. I came in with a French tip and was originally told that could be recreated. I was also told the acrylic/dip would match the color I already had. Instead, clear acrylic was applied and then painted over with pink polish. When I tried to explain that I felt the polish was being applied too thick, the response I received was, "I don't understand." At that point, I honestly became uncomfortable continuing to explain what I wanted. I could see that they have many loyal customers, and I did not want to come across as rude or be the person complaining, so I accepted the service, paid, and left. What is most disappointing is that I would have been completely fine if they had simply told me from the beginning that they could not recreate what I already had or that they did not have enough time. I would have thanked them and gone somewhere else. Instead, I agreed to additional services based on what I was told could be done, spent almost an hour there, and left with something completely different from what I asked for. I understand that not every salon or technician will be able to recreate another salon's work, and that is okay. I just wish there had been better communication and honesty about what could actually be done before I agreed to the service.

Also the horrible comment about not speaking English is wildly ignorant and stating that Eva's husband eyes have no soul, is disgusting. I have personally reported those comments and I'd appreciate others who have been to Kathy's to do the same. I have nothing but appreciation for them and the art they create. Bad service as of recently and they tried to force me to pay before there was polish even on my nails. I have been a regular for several years, but am disappointed with how this business has changed over time. My nails ended up looking horrible like never before. First of all when my sister and I went to get a manicure the ladies cut up my fingers with the filer and then made them bleed. Then earlier this week my dad went to his feet done and he never had a blister walking into queen nails and when he walked out they made his ankles bleed and said that it was the blister. read more

I went there and my total came to about $30, I paid with my card and gave them a tip in cash. Well, I checked my bank statement and they give themselves a nice $20 bonus tip. If you're going to go there, just pay in cash no card, but I wouldn't even suggest going there at all. read more
