Well first of all these guys have zero accountability when it comes to making a mistake. I had them do my back brakes because they were squeaking like crazy. They "fixed" the problem but when i drive the car, i can feel resistance like my brakes are on while driving. I took it back and they now claim it is my emergency brakes that are causing this issue. BS! And they claim that the emergency brakes are not connected to the regular brakes in any way...BS! My back brakes are in fact connected to the emergency brakes as they are on "ALL" cars! All they had to do was readjust the brakes so they are not so close my calibers. Did they do that... No. Instead they lied and neglected the fact that they are the ones responsible for this issue in the first place. WARNING...DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY REASON. this place is awful. they charge you sometimes for services they don't provide, add bogus charges and try to upsell you, have skipped safety checks on my car, failed to properly inflate tires, and didn't even manage to change the oil completely as the bottom cap came off and dumped oil into the pan on the highway (and on a holiday). used them for years and I just cannot with this bs anymore. read more

11-25-18 Quick Oil Staff DAMAGED MY TRUCK! I took my truck for a regular oil change and the staff person did not even know how to open the hood. He took longer than his partner on the other line (he already finished 3 cars) and the one doing my car was still doing my car. He said not to drive my truck, to park it. I went to see what he was talking about. The antifreeze keeps pouring out of my car, the tank was empty so I asked him what happened? He said a hose was broken and it needed to get fixed. I was shocked because my truck was fine when I took it in. I spoke to the attending staff and told him I wasd going to complain because the staff member broke the hose when he went to change the oil. 11-26-18 I called the store manager Eladio. I was describing what had happened to my truck. To my surprise, Eladio got a smart mouth, he became very sarcastic and disrespectful to me. Blaming me for the damage to my car. At one point he put me on speaker phone and I heard the other staff members laughing at what I was saying. I had been a customer of Quick Oil since they first opened that location. I have been a faithful customer, my son has been a loyal customer as well. It was shocking to hear how this person belittled me, made me feel like a liar, and was extremely disrespectful to me. I am an older, female, Latina. I'm sure he would not have responded that was to a man. I asked him for the owner's phone number or email, the owner's name is Miles. He refused to give it to me. As a result, I want this incident to be known. To Miles : the people you put in charge of your business are not professional, are untrained, and treat your customers with disrespect. My husband took his SUV in to have some work done, he was pleased with their work but, did notice that some minor damage was done to the passengers rear quarter panel. He didn't go back to complain only because, he had to go to work that evening. Then wasn't​ due back home till two days later, he figured by then they wouldn't believe his complaint. Wow is all I can say!!! 5 Stars for this Quick Oil on Armitage. I've been using Pep Boys for the last 9 years for my car. I recently moved to Logan Square and drove past one day for an oil change and a fluid check. They greeted me with professionalism and even pulled up a chair for me to watch what they were doing!?! Really? Companies do that? They wanted me to know as much as I wanted to know about my car and what services they performed! I was in and out of there in the within 15 minutes! Another Wow!!! I was so blown away that I inquired about some other work that I needed done. They did a test to see what was wrong with it (FOR FREE) They told me what was wrong, provided me with an estimate and I went on vacation. When I came back from Vacation I went in for the additional work (IT WAS MY BRAKES AND ROTERS) They even took me back there and showed me what the problem was! I could have never done this at Pep Boys, in fact, I've only been subjected to taking Pep Boys' word for it....whatever they said was wrong with it. BTW, they suggest the hell out of all the additional services you need to have done and before you know it, you've spent your paycheck there! When I went in for the Brake Service, the same guy that diagnosed it was there in the blue shirt...again. Hmmm, I wondered if he was the owner of this small business. I asked the lady behind the counter and in fact, he was the owner. LOVED IT! I don't know how many of you enjoy helping out the little guy and his small business, but I DO! Especially in a world like ours where the owners are nameless and faceless...shielding themselves behind these large corporations. Anyway, I was in and out for my brake service in about an hour...and now is the best part. When I received my bill, I was expecting to pay more. The lady at the counter told me that the manufacturer reduced the price of the parts and my bill was now $155 LESS THAN PREVIOUSLY QUOTED! Outrageous, Right??? My car was seriously pulling to the left so I asked for a wheel alignment. I was way over ('way' doesn't even describe it) on an oil changed, so I asked for one of those. And since I felt guilty for neglecting my car I asked for a tire rotation. A couple of guys started right away on the oil change but the owner came up to me after checking out my car (he seemed to check out every car that came in for mileage or consult with the crew working on the car) and said that I didn't need the tire rotation. This place is a Rip off! Went to get front break work done and of course they come back with how they found something else wrong.. So I'm like ok then just do it all at the same time to avoid two separate labor charges... Nope they couldn't do that.. Talking about 136 flat rate for labor on front brakes per that hour knowing damn well it doesn't take an hour .. And then have to charge Another labor fee for a piece going in the same area- another 85 for labor?! Then I had to leave and bring back the parts?! THEN when I come back the guy tells me dude bringing the brake pads doesn't have the hardware so had to charge me for that too AND had to go get it and bring it to them?! Wtf kind of half ass place is this?! NEVER coming here again... Mind you my car was the FIRST and ONLY one there.... Waste of time and money!!!! read more

User beware. Recently moved with our two cars and had to have both inspected for new state emissions...the work quick oil did on both cars was shotty and had to be fixed. We not only wasted money with them but then had to waste more money to fix their mistakes. Service and quality really declined over the last year. Good for oil changes but wouldnt recommend for actual mechanical work. Dissapointed with the issues both of our cars are having because of them. read more

For starters, i will say that i never write reviews...and that i'm generally pretty forgiving. but this experience was a catastrophe on many levels...and you should be warned! A simple oil change turned into several phone calls and 5 or 6 returns to the store to get it fixed. I am used to my Mazda 6 getting an extra charge for an oil change due to the shop having to remove the plastic undercarriage to get to the drain plug. once they pulled the plug, they immediately told me it needed replacing because it had been cross threaded by (of course) the last shop. ok...i'm still giving them the benefit of a doubt. a minor annoyance before i leave is that i explained that the low profile tires required 51lbs of pressure, so please fill accordingly. they resisted, but finally agreed to 45. upon checking later...they let the air out to 32 as they'd suggested all along! cruising the freeway to work the following day i hear a horrific noise from the front end. i stopped to check the tires...but it wasnt a flat. start/stop again..twice...before i realize that the plastic undercarriage underneath the car that i'd gotten upcharged for to take off had only been partially put back on, leaving the front half to buckle over under pressure of the wind and was dragging on the ground. i had to slide under my car (in my work wear) to try to strap it up so i didnt wake up all of Oak Brook on my way to work. After a phone call, i had to return to the shop to show them the damage. they agreed to ordering me a replacement part (after i refused the 3 free oil changes). once they called to advise that the part was in, i made sure that they had also ordered the screws required (which is why the original had fallen off, because they'd not put all the screws in)...they confirmed they had the screws. i made the trip up....no screws! i was obviously upset...but not out of control. what was appauling was that they surrounded me in the shop and started getting hostile with me! forget professional...it was threatening! once they call again to say that they found the screws...(it wasnt that they hadnt ordered them...they had just lost them!). made the trip up AGAIN when they wldnt give me the part because i didnt have the old part to give them (a month had passed and i didnt have the greasy oil covered part in my backseat). they said that i could take the part if i left THEM a deposit! finally i returned w/ the part and took the replacement (i'll put it on myself...i'm not letting this incompetent group touch my car again)! i spent my college days working in a shop...and i work in the auto industry today,,,so i know the territory. this has been the worst experience i have ever experienced w/ an oil change in my life. i would strongly recommend you think twice before letting these guys "gear" on your investment!! read more

Awesome service. I was thoroughly impressed from the time I drove into the parking lot until I left. I was greeted by a manager sharply dressed in a shirt and tie. He graciously greeted me and took my car to the garage for an oil change. The waiting room was impeccably clean and the outside was impeccably clean. The oil change was done quickly and at a great price. The service attendant even brought the dipstick to me to verify the new oil in the car. I added a tire rotation to the list of services done. I was impressed with the customer service and value this place provides. I will definitely be back for my next oil change. read more

Thanks for the quick turnaround! The quick oil team replaced my brakes, rotors and calipers this past Friday. I heard them grinding on my way into work and quick oil came to the rescue. They were able to show me exactly what was wrong prior to doing any work (bringing me back into the shop) and explained the price quote upfront. Ive never had my oil changed here but they've recently added on a big garage to do all other sorts of services. i came in to get my car re-aligned. it cost a fortune, more than ive ever paid, they made me get a ton of new parts, and tried to push new tires on me for 400 dollars. they were quick and pretty friendly, but i felt ripped off when i left. read more

I went here for an oil change before a long trip and supposedly they do a check on the transmission fluid and everything. They marked my transmission fluid as being okay. Within a few 100 miles, my transmission went out and the next mechanic told me the fluid was black and shouldn't have been on the road. I gave them a try today and was in and out in about 10 minutes! (Of course, it was 2pm on a Wednesday.) My oil change and air filter cost $43 and they even showed me the old air filter and the new oil on the dipstick. They also gave me a reasonable sounding estimate on brake pads since I asked him to check them out. (He said I've got a couple thousand more miles on them, so I'll need to replace them before my next oil change.) Everyone was very courteous as well. What more can you ask for? read more

It SEEMS like a good idea at first. You wait until the last minute to get an oil change and the only car service place open on a gorgeous Saturday in the city is this. Open until 7. You hop in your car hoping it doesn't give out on you because you've been ignoring the oil light forever. It makes it. PHEW. But then the up-sell happens. "Basic oil is x amount of dollars but I recommend x oil for $$ and an engine flush". You say ok I can handle 50 dollars. Then he comes and says you need new wipers and you agree. The bill is about 90 bucks at the end of service because EACH WINDSHIELD WIPER WAS 17 bucks. THATS A PIECE PEOPLE. And they didn't even vacuum the inside. In short its a nice place that gets you in and out but I don't think I can handle spending 90 bucks on an oil change. read more

The staff members were friendly, the location is convenient and never seems busy, they are that fast. The waiting area is clean and there is plenty of room. I agree with everyone else that the place is nice and clean, and the service was super quick. But from my experience, the reason it is so unbelievably fast is because they're not performing all of the work that you've bargained for. I had an absolutely filthy air filter that they didn't even bother to check...I replaced it myself later that week. I also had a tire that was dangerously underinflated, and when I left Quick Oil, it remained so. I also asked if they could perform a fuel filter change, and I was told to "come back during the week" for that service. Go here if you like lazy servicemen. Decent enough to go in a bind but be ready for the up sell. Went in for a quick oil change before work and they we able to take me right away. In and out pretty quick. A little on the pricy side for a simple oil change. The gentleman helping me wanted to change my brake lights, wipers, filter, do a diagnostic test and change my battery. We moved to Chicago a little over 1 year ago and they've become my go-to mechanic for all things we've needed for our Subaru Outback. Oil changes, anything tire related, servicing whenever lights go on, etc - they've been reliable, prompt and kind. It is intimidating being new to a city this size, trying to find the daily needs, and specifically being a mom with 2 young boys, walking into a mechanic could have been a nightmare - but not here!
