After living in Damascus for about 4 years, I have yet to check out Quincys until now. We were really hungry after coming home from a winery and wanted some bar food. A juicy burger to be exact! We walked in around 745. It was kinda empty, but i was pretty impressed with how spacious it was. The bar was pretty big and the restaurant itself appeared really clean. We sat down and were greeted by Grace, who was super awesome and provided amazing service. I told her exactly what I wanted without even looking at the menu and boy did she deliver. I wanted a BBQ bacon cheeseburger, which was the perfect ending to my night. My husband and cousin also got a burger and enjoyed them as well. Her husband got a Nashville chicken sandwich and he said it was pretty good. I also got tater toys, which were perfectly crip. The only drawback was I had ordered a margarita and asked for it to be topped with grand marnier. They charge a whole extra $12 for it. Not Grace's fault, but it was definitely surprising. Overall, good food, great vibes and I love that we found another local spot to go to. read more

Stopped into Quincy's on a Wednesday night, they have a large bar area and the place wasn't too crowded. The interior is spacious and they even have a game room in the back. The inside was clean and had multiple dining tables, booths, and plenty of high tops as well as a large bar area. Service was quick and the bartender was very attentive. Drinks are cheap and the food is reasonably priced. Overall I recommend them! read more

Places like this didn't exist in Damascus back when it was still a dry town. But thankfully fun places like Quincy's are here. It's a typical sports pub with a fun vibe and with good service. I am very excited for Quincy's Uptown Bar and Grill in Damascus! I am not sure exactly how long they have been open, but I know they are relatively new. For anyone familiar with Quincy's Bar and Grill in Gaithersburg or Quincy's South Bar and Grill in Rockville, the Damascus location has its own menu, but continues to offer a variety of standard and creative American / Bar fare. It is a nice open and well lit interior with a mixture of table and booth seating in addition to bar seating. Drink and Beer specials appear to rotate depending on what is in season if you are looking for something local or new, other than the usual on tap, etc. I need to go back and try more, but for starters Quincy's Nachos are a generous portion, easily shared by 4 adults if you intend to eat other things as well. The Baltimore Crab Pretzel is filling enough for one to eat as an entree if you are in the mood for something a little different from either the crab cake platter or crab cake sandwich offerings also on the menu. It seems like they make a little of everything. If you want something just simple, the cheesesteak hit the spot as well! I am not sure if they have committed to certain hours of operation yet, but I think this is a welcome addition to Damascus and can't wait to try more! read more

The Return! Now with more family! My daughter wanted a salad with her kids grilled cheese but it's not included as a side without an up-charge. She would've liked it crispier but that's an easy fix if the cook wanted to put in a little bit more effort. The mezza plate was a good vegetarian option but it felt deconstructed. Maybe cutting the tomatoes, cucumbers and feta cheese into smaller pieces or asking if we would've liked them cut would help? The other idea was mezza kabobs! Still like the place, it's still new and hopefully uses some of these suggestions. read more

The food there is typical bar food, but good. It's a good place to go with friends to hangout. The restaurant is pretty big with a bar. During football season they show the games. There is a hostess, waitress and the bar tender with the owner helping out to make sure everything is running smoothly. They have great appetizers and dinners for a fair price. read more

I was so desperate to like this place, but it just didn't work for us. We went for dinner, around 5 on a weekday. It wasn't busy, but service could not have been slower. The server was also completely not helpful. Two of us are vegetarian and had questions about the menu, but answers were not found. I had the mezze plate-- it was fine. Husband had wings-- they didn't come with celery. Child had grilled cheese-- it wasn't crunchy. It took absolutely forever for the food to come out. Starting off by saying that we wanted this to be a great restaurant experience. Was the first time we have had the kids out since March of last year. Our experience started poorly and got worse every minute we wasted in this place. I walked in there and a server said, "you don't have to wear your mask anymore". I said well...yes I do. She said not in here. Then I proceeded to tell her that, "My sisters life depends on my health and your unsolicited masking opinion was not asked for nor appreciated". (My sister is getting a transplant) Our waitress struck up a conversation with us (after waiting 20 minutes for a menu) and she was talking about Donald Trump's big comeback and how the election was rigged and how the people that attempted to attack the capitol were not bad people but they were "patriots". When we finally got the food, the fries were burned and the burger was overcooked to the point of being charred. Went to the bathroom and was disgusted to see the state of the toilets and floors. It looked like this was a biker bar bathroom, not one that was in a family restaurant. I mentioned all of this to our waitress and the only response we got was, "What do you expect, this is Damascus, not some 3 star MICHELIN restaurant in Washington DC. (I had to look that up after I left because I didn't even know what that meant). : Steer clear of this place. It is dirty, full of rude employees and the food was abysmal. read more

It's clean and the decor is very nice. It has a modern but homey feeling. The service was cool and the shrimp basket was delicious. The best fried shrimp I have ever had. It tasted extra crispy and fresh, the shrimp didn't taste mushy at all. Wasn't to crazy about the fries but everything else was great. read more

An awesome place for a cold beer after a long, hot day. Very large, open and inviting space, even has outdoor seating. Large TV's at the bar and all around. Best part was the service. I've been waiting to hit Quincy's until the "newness" wore off a little. They've been hammered pretty hard on Facebook and other social media. Went for the first time today for lunch. Wife had the beef and cheddar sandwich and she loved it. I tried the beef and it was very tasty and tender! I had chicken tenders and fries! The fries were delicious and chicken tenders were just ok, but had a lot of breading for my liking. Wife liked the Red Shedman cider and I enjoyed the Oktoberfest they had on tap. I went back again tonight to get a to go order of wings and the Chesapeake wings are not disappointing! Look forward to going back and taking the kids next time! read more

Walked in around the afternoon time and sat down at the bar to order some take out food, a beer and a shot. For some ridiculous reason "Damascus" doesn't serve liquor. Only wine and beer......Ok......continued to place my order. Bartender was nice, but coming from somebody who worked the Industry in D.C, the bartenders are obviously Server's and not legit bartenders. Terrible beer pours. (yes it matters) I know this place is still very new but Qs should be a Qs experience no matter what location. Not the case here. Got wings and a burger to go. Took about 35-40 minutes for the food to come out. Asked for ranch and blue cheese for the wings and didn't get either. Had to go back inside for the ranch. Burger is not how I'm used to it being, as the wings. Also the portion size for the fries, or tots, is a slap in the face for the price they charge. 1 Star for the Food 1 Star for the Service Just save your self the money and hit the Quince Orchard location. Wow, this is the first time coming to this place. They told us they opened in June. It's fantastic! We had the Mezza plate and crab pretzel appetizers, both were excellent. The crab pretzel was full of crab with none of the usual filler. We also had the steak salad with the onion straws which are reason enough to come here, add them to anything you can. Our server was Lindsey, who was very friendly and attentive. She recommend we try the Pecan pie, which of course we did. It was SO good. It wasn't overly sweet, it was almost complex in its composition of pecan goodness. Highly recommend! read more

Ok, finally gave it a try. I went three stars as the food was sub par. I was not real hungry so I went with wings (old bay) they were 35 minutes in getting to us and I even had to ask once I found a bar tender. Boy service at the bar usually means faster drinks.(not this night) My wife's meal was ok but not great. I know the place is new and issues do go away if well managed but service is a standard that should never be new. It was like thanks for coming in sit and we'll get to you when we feel like it. Bar staff can set the tone, ask follow up and keep moving around your bar. I think us having to ask where is our food after 35 plus minutes(only know time as a friend call after we ordered) I hate giving out lower than three so I'll wait and go again. When a "bar" comes to Damascus, a city that had a 50 year alcohol prohibition that didn't end until 2013, it's BIG news. Up until then, and even today (because of the limited choices), most of the drinking any resident of the town does is in neighboring Germantown or Mount Airy. Quincy's has been a welcome addition and I have been coming here to see the same familiar faces since it opened 3-4 years ago. It should be noted that there is no LIQUOR served here - only beer and wine - but that's a Damascus issue, not Quincy's. Damascus will NEVER be a liquor-accessible town, I can assure you of that. In any event, you won't find a nicer and more attentive bartender than Tyler - he works long hours and seemingly lives there - but never looks agitated or gloomy as you'll see with some in that line of work. Another thing I love about Quincy's - as I do with any bar that uses it - is the access to the TOUCHTUNES jukebox. Nothing like controlling the music and the "mood" from your own phone! This is a GREAT place to sit at the bar on Sundays during the fall and watch NFL football all day - very organized and each of the flat screen overhead TV's are labeled with particular games. And hey, this is Damascus after all, so Quincy's doubles as a FAMILY RESTAURANT! Bring the kiddos and enjoy the food (which, by the way, is really good). The only reason I deducted one star? The hours are a tad odd - they are open Wednesday through Saturday from 3PM to 9PM(ish), Sunday 12PM to 9, and closed on BOTH Monday and Tuesday. It took them 25 minutes to bring out my food then didn't taste good and then I had explosive diarrhea when I got home

It took us 15 min with no greeting or communication from any employee and no estimation of wait. Once seated the customer was good very nice people however the food was not considering the price. The steak was grey after ordering it medium and the mashed potatoes had little to no flavor with the texture of boxed potatoes. The burger was over cooked after requesting medium. Thursday evening...about 50% of the tables and a 1/3 of the bar was filled. No host, so choose my own tabletop near the bar. Menus were provided several minutes later, but only after I waived to the bartender. Menus dropped by a server and he kept walking and returned after several minutes for drink orders (water for me and draft Miller Lite for my nephew). When drinks were delivered, orders were taken, food eventually delivered. Waiter asked my nephew if he wanted another beer. But my water glass was empty, and I had to ask for a refill. Nephew ordered 20 wings with "buffalo" sauce. I tried one. It was OK. I thought a bit pricey as compared to menus at other establishments. I ordered a Nashville hot chicken sandwich; a side salad was my side. I've had Nashville hot chicken in Nashville. The "hot" portion is supposed to be a glaze on a piece of fried chicken. I am quite sure that this was a frozen chicken sandwich patty, fried, and then Texas Pete or like sauce poured on it. The side salad was a pile of iceberg lettuce, two small cherry-type tomatoes, and one cucumber slice, topped with runny blue cheese dressing. Not impressed. The bar would be a great place to watch a game. Lots of TVs and a variety of bottled and draft beers. To me, it appeared that there is a lack of wait staff. My waiter was perfectly pleasant, but obviously harried. Perhaps that will improve over time? As for the food, the typical bar food may be OK, but I will not go back for a meal anytime soon. read more

Beautiful spacious location. Perfect center bar with just enough seating on the sides. Separate dining room for overflow or private parties. Katie and Corrine work great in tandem even when it gets super busy. Reminds me of hard working gals at BWB's. Called ahead, on the way to the restaurant to celebrate my son in law's birthday, to verify outdoor seating availability and was told yes, there was plenty. Went for dinner with the wife and my son. Craving a good steak. Ordered the "New York Strip" and the wife gotnthe "rib eye". Nope! Neither one was with a dime. Mine was FATTY and tasted like it fell in the charcoal. The wifes was WAY undercooked and tough as a strip of wet rawhide. Both were just plain nasty. Mine was suppsed to come with a blue cheese butter and it did not. Wasn't even cooked in it. When the manager brought it out she put it in the table and walked away. Steak was a tad bit above room temp by that time and it kinda just sat there. Did not melt and sucked. The wife sent hers back and got the fried shrimp basket. Shrimp tasted like playdoh and the fries tasted like old grease. We asked to speak to the manager and when she heard our concerns her responce was "Well a lot of people orser our steaks and have not complained"! RUDE! No my apologies or I am very sorry. NO CARE WHAT SO EVER! Avoid this place and go to McDonalds. There burgers taste more like a steak than this place. read more

Soft opening tonight. Exactly what Damascus needed....a family friendly sports bar. I gather from the owner that they are still training up the staff and kitchen. There were at least 65 people there with no opening announcement. Twelve drafts on tap and great apps. Did not eat a meal. Place was crushed. I finally tried out this place for the first time this past Friday night. The place was almost at capacity as far as seating so we did have to wait a little to get seated, but once we got seated the service we received from John was great! He was very attentive and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was also great and the wait time for food was not unreasonable. We had the crab pretzel, shrimp basket, steak and cheese, and a build-your-own pizza. It's nice to finally have another option in town. We will be returning. read more

I came here for drinks and it seemed as though my presence was not a priority to him. He ended up getting better as i ordered more drinks but given there were only 5 people at the bar, he was not tending to me like there were. More the that, the place REEKS like dirty bar. Its small so im guessing it is not difficult to keep clean but the bar was filthy and the menus had caked on food all over them! Went for early dinner at 4 p.m. our 1st time here. Service was great. The falafel appetizer platter was delicious and enough for 2 people. We should've stopped at that. The Impossible Burger and fried shrimp were mediocre. The french fries were limp and greasy. The place is new and beautiful. However, the painted wall in the booth is already dirty and needs to be cleaned. Sorry but we don't plan to return. read more

I'll give a very quick review of our experience today: - Servers were nice but EXTREMELY understaffed. Really, only ONE waitress for the whole restaurant on a Saturday at lunch? Poor bartender had to step in and help. Giving an extra star for their great efforts. They did a great job, truly. - Kitchen is INSANELY SLOW. We ended up warning people as they were coming in with kids. - Burger was mediocre, crab cake sandwich was average. Sadly it was barely warm when it finally arrived on our table. - Seems they excel on things like bar food (wings looked and smelled great) and it's always a huge plus when they make their own sauces and dressings. - Whole experience took an hour and a half for just two sandwiches Didn't this place open several months ago? We're hoping this was a fluke today with how understaffed they were. But if Mgmt doesn't care, you will lose customers really fast. Everyone in the place looked pissed and impatient. read more

Was looking forward to Damascus' newest restaurant. While not packed, it took 30 minutes to get our meals. The surfaces were hard so fairly loud from conversations. The sandwiches were good and meaty but the fries were not the best and a swap to coleslaw was $2 extra. We may be back but overall we were disappointed. read more

Quincey's is a welcome addition to Damascus's restaurant options. Overall, the food was good, though maybe a little uneven. We got the Thai wings to start, which were really tasty. In fact, we held onto the tray to dip our fries in the leftover sauce. My daughter ordered the cheesesteak with tater tots. The tots were awesome. The cheesesteak normally is served with cheese wiz but my daughter got it with regular provolone and mayo. It was okay, but I think it would've been better with the wiz. I got the chicken tenders with fries. The tenders were really good; the fries were decent, though a little greasy. The portion sizes were very generous: the wings were big and meaty, the cheesesteak was a good size, the tenders were huge (I took 3 home!), and they loaded us up on fries and tots. The tab came to $42 but we left very full and had enough leftovers for another meal. The ambiance was very pleasant, clean, and inviting. There weren't any games on at the time but it seems like a good place to watch a game--though not all tables are created equal in terms of ease of viewing their TVs. They do have a great bar area and a back room if you wanted to bring in a party. Finally, the service was good and friendly, and the food came out fairly quickly.
