Showed up for lunch, because the place is named after the town that is the Mecca of carnitas, i decided to order 5 tacos de carnitas. Service was ok, ambiance is of a tailgate and eat because is at a gas station. The salsa was nice and spicy, tacos were cool, but lacked a bit of fat. I showed up wearing a soccer jersey, let alone from same geographic area as the name. So if I were to show up again, I would suggest that staff asks " want cuero(skin) on your carnitas? Or just maciza (lean)?" 4.5 decent place, but carnitas need a bit of grease
My favorite taco truck and lunch spot! Located next to the Chevron gas station on Lawrence and Arques, it's a super convenient spot to grab a quick lunch! They pretty much have most of the mexican entrees you could ask for - tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas. Although the food is really good, I wouldn't say the food quality is * consistent *. You could get a lot of protein on one day - you could get nothing (just rice and beans) on other days. Guess it just depends on their mood. Here are my recommendations: burritos: get carne asada because most other meats aren't flavorful enough tacos: can't go wrong with any. although $3/taco is a bit pricey, they do give you plenty of sauces and a toasted jalapeño + baby onion. and of course that jalapeño's spiciness won't be consistent - it could just be a bell pepper or it could leave your tongue burning for the next hour or so. And just saying, I have a pretty high spice tolerance. tortas: the cubana is the best torta they have, no debate here. quesadillas: not my favorite at this location Everything is self service here - you wait in line to place an order and you get a ticket number - they'll call out the last two numbers on your ticket. I hope you've practiced your high school spanish tho - they only call out numbers in spanish :)) plenty of spanish speakers at this truck though, I'm sure someone can help you out There's no seating area around this location since everything around it is a tech office. despite the tech buildings and the concrete jungle all around, it's still a cute spot.
Solid taco spot if you want something quick & tasty. Stopped by during my lunch & had my tacos in about 10 minutes. There's no seating but it's great for to-go. I tried the pollo, asada, & chorizo, good flavor across all 3 but I think the chorizo was my favorite. Wish tacos were less than $4 each but overall not a bad deal.
Never underestimate a taco truck parked at a gas station. Prices are great and taste was good too. I ordered an al pastor burrito for $13. Food was done quickly. Would come back again if I was in the area.
If you want some quick tacos at an affordable price, this is the spot. They are located at the Chevron gas station in the front corner. They lack seating at this food truck. The staff runs an efficent system, as the food comes out quickly and wrapped up to go. They have options of Tacos, Burriots, Tortas, and Quesadillas. We decided to try their tacos this trip. We got one canitas, carne asada and a pastor. The pastor was definitely the best out of the three meat options. It was moist and flavorful. We will be back.
Quiroga Taqueria is located in the Chevron parking lot and they're setup in the corner with some covering so that's nice if the day is hot. I was really excited as I approached and could see the Al Pastor on the spit so thought we were already off to a good start since Al Pastor is my go to meat and having it freshly carved is the best. $12 for a super burrito here isn't too bad so was excited for it. It took only a few minutes to come out, which was nice not having to wait 10 mins for my burrito even though I had a few people in front of me. They seem really well run with one cashier, one person handling packaging and two people cooking. They offer a standard red sauce but you can also ask for additional red sauce or avocado sauce, which I didn't try but regret now. My first disappointment with the burrito was that it wasn't that hot, even though I ate it within 15 minutes or getting it. It also seems that they do not include sour cream or avocado/guacamole in their super burritos, which was a bit disappointing. I probably should have asked what came in it since their menu didn't describe what was in the burrito and I guess that is my fault for assuming??? You can add them both for an additional $0.50 each, which should have tipped me off. Onto the flavors. This burrito is one of the more sour super burritos I've had, and this is without adding any extra lime or anything else. I also found myself looking for beans in the burrito as they were pretty sparse. I do wish it was a bit bigger as my go to is usually Lopez Taqueria and theirs is about the same price but about 25% bigger with more meat as well. The red sauce was okay, a bit bitter but had a nice spice level to it. I think this burrito would have been much better balanced with the sour cream and avocado but considering how small it was, I think I'll stick to my usually at Lopez down the street.
Finally getting around to writing this food truck a proper review. Long overdue, I have been going here for my taco fix for the past almost 5 years when I'm at work. Hands down, one of my favorite places for an Al pastor taco! The grilled pineapple, Mexican onion, and jalapeño is the best touch! I enjoy it so much that I always look for it at other places now. Sorry, not sorry! I've tried their carne asada and lengua tacos, but nothing compares to their spit roasted marinated pork. This small business is parked off of Lawrence Expwy during the day time in a Chevron parking lot. There's quite a few spots so don't worry about finding parking unless you're going during peak lunch time. TIP: don't park at the gas pumps because the owner will get in trouble! Being outdoors, it's a different mealtime experience to dine next to your car under the open sky while you listen to the busy traffic. Otherwise you could always pick up takeout and go munch somewhere else, they always pack the food very securely.

If you want the best tacos with the best service, look no further. Quiroga Taqueria is my favorite taco truck in the Sunnyvale area because of their kind service, quality food, and ease of access. The al pastor tacos were seasoned very well and had a great assortment of toppings. Their sauces provided are super tangy and exciting to use, the avocado green sauce is my personal favorite because it helps to cool down the spiciness of the tacos! Coming here again, and again...

This location is right outside a Chevron. Sided on the left side. It's very busy because of the busy Lawrence Expy. So there's no where to sit and cars are going in and out. Pricing is very fair, so no complaints there. 3 dollars per taco isn't so bad at all in this "shrinkflation" economy. The tacos themselves are pretty bomb. I had the suadero tacos. Meat was tender, the sauce was spicy, and love that they give you the small onion, some shops will charge you for it. I've had some of their other meats like Pastor, asada, and tripa. They are all good! Will definitely keep coming back during my lunch. read more
I was in the mood for a little snack and in the area so I figured I'd give this place a shot. Great call! Despite the name this is a truck parked in a Chevron parking lot; not a brick and mortar restaurant. That said, there's a big shaded area (pictured) for you to wait for your food, though there's no seating. You won't be waiting for too long; I went at 12:45 on a Tuesday and there were five people ahead of me. I got my tacos in less than 10 minutes. The Al Pastor was perfect. Well seasoned, crisp, and slightly spicy. The salsa also had some decent heat and slightly smokiness that paired well with the taco. They give you a little spear of pineapple on the side so you can control how pineapple-prominent your al pastor is, which I really appreciate. In addition to the pineapple spear, there was also a grilled onion, grilled chili, and the juiciest lemon I've ever squeezed. The carne asada was decent. I think it would've benefited from a little more salt. But carne asada is always gonna be carne asada; always good, never the best. I'd definitely come back for the al pastor and to try the carnitas. My only suggestion is you may want to ask for extra onion and cilantro if you're like me and you like those flavors to be prominent in your taco experience. Definitely give this place a shot. This place is so good! Located at the Chevron gas station off of Lawrence Expressway and Arques (across the street from the gyms, lol). There's a dirt lot next to the truck where you can park towards the back of the station. It gets busy during lunch time. I came right after the lunch rush around 1 PM and the order came out pretty fast even with a handful of people ahead of me. I ordered the carne asada super burrito. There are 3 salsas kept cool in a little bin that you can help yourself to (comes with plastic containers and lids). The green salsa is my favorite! The burrito was super delish. Happy to report that there weren't chewy pieces that I sometimes have to spit out at other places. Good amount of meat to rice and toppings. The order also came with a mini grilled onion and pepper and lime. I'll be back to try the tacos + tortas! Note: they accept credit cards! All prices on the menu include tax. read more

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and we have some of the best tacos north of Mexico itself. And these... these are the BEST tacos I've EVER had! Their meat is all really good but the cabeza is by far my favorite!! Sooooo juicy and moist and had the most amazing flavor! I can't wait to try the torta next! The food truck looks very clean and the workers are so sweet and clearly put a lot of love into their business!! I've been telling all of my coworkers to try it and so far they LOVE it!! The ONLY complaint that I have is I wish they were open later than 3pm because I would probably order to-go for dinner every night after work! DELICIOUS!!! read more

This place is SO delicious!!! My coworkers and I go here at least once a week. Located in the parking lot of Chevron and tends to get a bit busy during lunch hours but once you order your food gets called out within a few minutes... Definitely worth it. Gotten many different things here and never been disappointed. Not to mention, the people working there are super friendly. Not your average taco truck!!! read more
This food truck is located by Chevron and seems to be a popular place for workers in the area. My friends and I came here around 12pm and beat the lunch crowd! The menu is small but it has all the staples you need from a mexican food truck. The customer service here is friendly and welcoming. There aren't any seating available so I recommend getting your food to go. My friends and I ended up eating our food in the car. I ordered the super burrito with carne asada--you can never go wrong with carne asada. It's a good sized burrito that will keep you full. They also give you some lime, grilled onion, and pepper on the side. There's also a small area where you can get sauces for your food and get it to go. The burrito here is delicious and I would definitely be coming back for more. Next time I will try their tacos because my friend said it was equally as good as their burrito. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who likes mexican food! read more

Searched online for a quick carry out Mexican meal in the area and found this food truck at a Chevron gas station parking lot. The Asada tacos were so tasty that I went back today and found a long line of lunch time taco lovers. It was a pretty quick line though. I highly recommend the asada and pastor tacos (the chicken was fine but a little bland), along with a side of rice and beans. So good! read more

All around good burrito, just finding that some places skew more creamy like here while others are more zesty with the salsa. I tend to like a mix but do lean towards less creamy. Quality was good and I loved the included roasted garlic! Nice touch! read more
